Uploading flah file to server

I am really new to this flash site building. This is my first
site that i have created and now i am wanting to post it to the
webserver. I have ftp into my webserver and have dragged my .swf
file over to the directory. My site still does not show when i type
the website name in the address bar. What else do i need to make
this work. Again I am really new to posting websites to servers. If
any one can help me i would greatly appreciate this. Thank you.

Your SWF needs to sit inside an HTML page. When you publish
your file from Flash, make sure you also have HTML ticked so it
produces that too. Then upload both the HTML page and and
corresponding SWF.

Security restriction while executing Flash file

Hi,
I am a beginer with Flash and I developed some sample Flash
files(swf) using Flash MX 2004. The files were able to run with IE
with out any issue on my XP machine which is having IE 6. The same
files when I tried with IE 7 on Windows Vista, it is not letting me
to run initially. It says ".... IE has restricted this web page
from running scripts or Activex controlls that could access your
computer....". Though I can right click and click 'Allow Blocked
Content' to execute the file, I am wondering whether I can do some
setting on the file itself to make it trusted or something like
that. I can also change the IE settings not to restrict the file.
But I think it won't be a general solution.
I wanted embedd this flah file on an html page and I want to
make sure that the file will execute with out the security warning
or change in the IE settings.
Most of the internet sites that I used access has flash
content and my IE does not used to show any warning. How can I
achieve the same with my flash file?

If you embed the swf in the HTML it will not display that
warning. The warning is something that IE displays when you open
the SWF directly.

Sample iOS files?

I'm looking for a sample FLA file so I can just do a quick publish and preview on iPhone to see how the whole process goes. I just bought CS5.5 and I can't seem to find any tutorial FLA files anywhere. Either I'm not looking in the right place or they do not exist. Also couldn't find any via Googling.
Help?

I've found Flah files available wih some books helpful. Admittedly they aren't CS5.5 but the following might be helpful because both have downloadable sample files available...

How to use as3 in flash cs3 to add dynamic text from a text file into a flash file

let me start out by saying today is my first day of scripting
in flash.

it contains

can someone please show me how to display this text in a
flash file
i have been searching for this for hours and there are
solutions with flash mx and actionscript 2.0 but i would like to
see how to do this in as3.
just a simple frame that loads that file and displays it when

I'm not up on AS3 yet, but many things are still similar. You
need to use the LoadVars class to accomplish this, You can find
information this in Flahs Help>Actionscript>Actionscript
Language Reference>Actionscript classes.

My Mac isn't showing all of my files.

I opened "About This Mac" and discovered that I have only around 46 MB of storage left out of the available 59.81 GB. Apparently I have 46.18 GB of "Other". I looked in finder and I have around only 25-30 files, each taking up only a few MB of storage. This really irks me.
Another thing that I'm confused about is the fact that my Mac only has 60.7 GB of flah storage available in total, when a $999 Macbook Air is supposed to have 128 GB of flash storage.

Can I really do that? I actually got it in March, so would I still be able to get it fixed or exchanged?

Delete archive log files on physical standby

I want to delete the archive log files on the phsical standby database when they were applied. The archive log files are in the flash recovery area. So i used
CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO APPLIED ON STANDBY;
in rman.
My question:
Does rman delete the archive log files immediately when they are applied or when the disk space becomes scarce?

They're marked as reclaimable when applied, so they're still on the disk but when the flah recovery area will become full they'll be deleted to give space to the new one, and so...

Using FLV files in iWeb

Looking for help!
I'm creating sites and using iWeb enhancer to embed swf. files into my site. I've had no trouble getting basic animations and a xml based player working. Check swampfoot.co.uk then go to media to see.
What I'm struggling with is to get a flah video player to play a flv. file from a ulr. I can get the player to embed but it won't play the movie. Has anyone got any code I could adapt to get this to work?
Any help would be greatly recieved.

My solution may not be the most technical but it works. We use a combination of iWeb, dreamweaver and straight code on our site. We lay a graphic in where the flash is going to go then we replace the code with the flash player. You have to make sure the flash is in a div and is identified as a object.

End-of-file errors

I just came back from a month of travels and shot 3k of photographs. About 70% of my images are plagued with 'end-of-file errors'.
Here's some details:
Nikon D700 with 2 X Transcend 16GB compactflash cards.
All images are NEF (Raw).
I made backups on a portable hard drive every night, but checking them reveals the same errors. I presume these errors were caused from when the data was written to the card rather then when the data was pulled from the card.
Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS3 give me 'end-of-file' errors when I try to work with them.
Nikon's ViewNX 2 software can open the files and even save them out as jpegs, no problem. So as a last resort I'll do this, however it's a lot of extra work, over 2k of pictures to save out as jpegs... ideally I'd like the raws, that's why I shot them in the first place.
I've tried a few pieces of software to help, including PhotoRescue Expert.. it pulled the images off the card, but the errors persist.
I've searched all over the net, including the Adobe forums and haven't found any real solution. So what can I do?
Is there any software that can repair these NEF's? Are they just corrupted and it's just tough luck? Any serious advice would be appreciated.
One more question... has anyone experienced problems with Transcend cards before, I'm wondering about their reliability.

Sounds like bad flash media, or a bad link in the physical import chain. You can try extracting the data off those (assuming you have not formatted them) in a different manner, or on a different computer and see if he problem is in the chain somewhere between the card and the computer.
There are utilities to extract data from formatted flahs media, and when you format in-camera the flash firmware will try to spread writes over other parts of the media, so you might get lucky and be able to extract data from formatted media, assuming it is not corrupt on the media.
Which is also a possibility.
The other apps you mention don't actually read the raw image in its entirety as Lightroom does. They just read the file header and the embedded preview (which Lr does not use) so the JPEG you are extracting is just a copy of this preview. If you are lucky you might be able to reimport to get the missing trailing information that seems to be trunctated.
I bet there are command line tools you can script to extract these previews from a group of raw images in a more automated fashion.

Gettin info about Flash file's data rate (and more) on Mac

In Quicktime one can get all sorts of info like frame rate,
data rate, codecs and more, but flah players don't do this. Right?
I see there is special software for this for a PC, but what about
Mac? Is there any way to get this info for files I didn't make
myself.

I am referring to video files that I am making out of .mov
files. I am trying to find best cmpression options, but to do that
it would be nice to study others' files.

Flah player is not working and ive tried everything

Ok, so i have installed the latest flash player but its still not working on sites likes e4.com/skins, the videos there will not play. This is weird because ive watched videos on the site before.
Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the app adobe gives u to completely remove it but nothing is working. Ive checked that the flash player has installed properly by checking on the adobe website and everything is working fine. The add ons are all enabled and so on.
The video on the website loads with a black screen where the video should be but nothing happens.
This is getting very annoying, help would be nice.
I am on windows vista and im using internet explorer 8. The videos also dont work on safari or firefox even though i have got flash player for those browsers. Ive tried scanning my computer to see if i have any virusis but bit defender says im clean.

In firefox their was swf vs 10.0.32.18 and that was enabled.
I went to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash and this was what was in there Flash10d.ocx, flashplayer.xpt, FlashUtil10d, install (tetx document), NPSWF32.dll, NPSWF32_FlashUtil, uninstall_activeX, uninstall_plugin.
The java entries are java 6 update 6 and java 6 update 18 and the flash player 10 activex is listed.

Hi, Using IE find "View and manage your internet explorer add-ons">all add-ons. Look for Shockwave Flash Object...
ActiveX Control....Flash10d.ocx and ensure that it is enabled.
In FF, look for SWF vs 10.0.42.34 and ensure that it is enabled.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash. Open the Flash folder and post back every entry that is listed there.
In Programs and Features post back the Java entries with version #'s and while you are there just note that Flash Player 10 ActiveX is listed.
If you have any questions or need info to obtain the Flash folder info, just post back.

Delete File From Mounted Volume

I am trying to delete the "Calendar Cache" files on both my laptop PowerBook G4 and the Mac Pro Quad that I sync my calendars with. I am using ChronoSync and the individual calendars sync fine, but there is a little house keeping needed with the cache file. They need to be deleted on both systems in order to "refresh" the views of the calendars.
So after the sync of calendars, I have the software initiating an AppleScript that deletes both. Here's the script:

I have my old 6i forms from which i runs some Pro*c programmers with the help of HOST() command ,and then that generates a normal text file as a resultant report like file name "kha10"
which i can easily open with any text client ,,,
now what i want is that, to open this file on browser like web Report on my forms 10g like report builder 10g
can anyone help me as it will be a gr8 help otherwise i would have to develop approx 100 reports.....
