CS # and version #

Is there a table somewhere matching CS# and version #?
Some document use CS3 or CS4 while others user v12, v13. It is very confusing ..
Thank you,

I am a system admin and not a user of the adobe product..
The problem I have is users ask for PhotoShop CS3 or Illustrator CS4. But, the volume license I got from Adobe says version 9, 10, 11.....
I have hard time searching on the net to match what version they need.
I just wonder is there a document matching like PhotoShop CS3 to version 10 as well as other products.
Thanks,

  • How to find Mobile device OS name and version using Flex?

    is there anyway to get device information like OS name and version using flex 4.5.1 or 4.6 SDK. i am developing a project in Flex which needs to identify the end user mobile platform like Android, iOS.. and its version like Android means 2.1,2.2,etc..
    Anyone can help me on this?

    I don't know that there is a proprietary driver. In fact, I'm sure there isn't because I never installed one. I figured there was some code file somewhere that dealt with keyboards. Yes, I have dealt with the developer, they say to tell Apple there is a problem. I have been putting it off and waiting to update since 10.6.3, so the problem is getting a little old. Do I even know there is a problem? I'm not sure what this means. I do know that when I update my operating system past 10.6.2 my keyboard no longer works, and I have to use a stock Apple keyboard to run a time machine reinstall. Why else would I be going through this?

  • Auto Save and Versions

    Where can I control Auto Save and Versions? I can't find it in System Settings.
    Can I control it by terminal commands?
    On http://www.apple.com/macosx/what-is/ Apple claims:
    Versions creates a new version of a document each time you open it and every hour while you’re working.
    While here http://www.apple.com/macosx/whats-new/auto-save.html Apple claims:
    Forget about manual saving and forge ahead with confidence. Auto Save in OS X Lion automatically saves your work, while you work, during pauses and every five minutes. And Lion saves changes in the background so you're never interrupted with progress bars.
    So I wonder every five minutes or every hour? Would be nice to make sure on each Mac itself whether it auto-saves every five minutes or every hour and to actually allow its user o set the frequency.

    It does both. It saves your work in the current version every 5 minutes. Every hour, it creates a new version of the document.
    I haven't searched for any version settings, yet.

  • Value Type and Version

    Hi,
    In most FI extractors, I see Value type (mapped to 0vtype) and version (mapped to 0version). Can anyone please explain the difference between them? Can you please share examples?
    Thanks
    Jason

    Hi,
    <b>Version:</b>
    Indicates which planning version has been used for the  data that has been posted to the Business Warehouse system.
    The default value is 0, that is, the most current version
    <b>Value Type:</b>
    Indicates which type of values should be posted to the Business Warehouse system. You can choose between:
    Actual figures
    Plan figures
    Target figures
    Hope this is clear.

  • Version 8.5 and Version 11.5 on same machine

    I've heard that loading version 8.5 and version 11.5 on the same pc can be done, but the loading needs to be done in a particular order.  Does anyone have experience with this?
    Thanks, Ashley

    Assuming you are talking about Crystal Reports and not the Enterprise product, then yes, they can co-exist, and without any "tweeking".  You should install Crystal 8.5 first, and then 11.5.  Naturally, at that point, the default program for any .RPT file will be the 11.5 product, so, if you need to maintain the 8.5 reports but not upgrade them, you will have to open those files within Crystal 8.5 instead of double-clicking on them from Windows Explorer.

  • Missing Software and version #

    Okay, how would you all handle this:
    In ZEN 7, we had JUST MSI And add/remove programs setup for software inventory. It actually did pretty good (example, it found a bunch of ESRI ArcGIS stuff).
    It would show ALL the SDK (ie, there's an SDK for C++, one for VB, etc.)
    It would also show the complete version and build number (ie: 9.2.134.21)
    Now we are using ZAM 7.5 (in addition to ZEN, but eventually will cutover to ZCM)
    Anyway, ZAM 7.5 seems even more limited in its software inventory.
    It doesn't find any of the SDK's (I've had to submit multiple fingerprint wizards in the past for missing software).
    It also doesn't report build numbers, just versions like 9.2
    Sooo, what's the best way to handle this?
    The missing stuff I'm either going to have to add more fingerprints (very time consuming as I have to go visit the PC's with the software to run the utility) or add local product (in which case I've gotta get the people to send me the .exe and whatnot). Either way, stinks, IMO.
    And how should I handle the missing version information? It's in the windows registry at the least, but I'm not sure about the actual VBR info in the file. Do I submit an SR, enhancement request, run the wizard?
    Version info is very important for us because it signifies the product patch levels (ie, it doesn't say like: Hi I'm ArcView 9.2 SP3, but rather, I'm 9.2.somethingsomethingsomethng)

    Recognition in ZAM - and ZCM - has been, over time, focused more towards business applications than development applications. In that environment, recognition out to the build number is viewed as less relevant; accordingly, most fingerprints tend to report at the "N.N" or "N.N.N" level. The recognition technology is quite capable of reporting out to "N.N.N.N" and indeed that level of granularity is utilized when requested and appropriate. (We pickup the build from the VRB.) Further, when specified, "promotion" fingerprints will automatically discover versions with new build numbers in them and create new products on-the-fly. This type of fingerprint must, however, be engineered by Novell.
    Generally, the recognition team has placed less emphasis on SDKs. We tend to make decisions towards products that will have impact on the majority of customers. But, as you've mentioned, we respond to requests for signatures.
    From the software local products perspective, if you are gathering "software file" (the ZAM name) or "file scan" (ZCM) data, you shouldn't need to have files sent to you to create a local product. In ZAM 7.5 you can create a local product from the Software Files report in the web console fairly efficiently. It works even better in the ZENworks Control Center of ZCM 10. On a project earlier this year, at a customer site where there is a lot of internal application development and a strong commitment to populating the VRB on every update, we created over 150 local products - with different product names and versions - in about a minute.

  • Date and version should be generating by

    Hello All,
    We are also using with IBM websphere portal in our environment.
    But this is a Linux question than a product.
    For our routine deployment we are doing export/import.
    I want to run export by script for both source and target.
    Regardless of how many time I run the same script I want export file will be generated by name,date and version #.
    First time script will create source_fulltest20091215_1.xml,
    if user runs scripts again it will create the name as source_fulltest20091215_2.xml.
    Third time script will generates file name as source_fulltest20091215_3.xml
    Please notice name of the file its increment by number.
    Below is a general format of the script,
    if I run exactly same script it will create the file called ‘source_fulltest20091215_1.xml”.
    ./xmlaccess.sh -in exportBase.xml -out source_fulltest20091215_1.xml -url http://hostname:port#/wps/config -user svc_wpsadmin -password 'helloworld'.
    I want date and version should be generating by auto script.
    Thanks

    Review the output formatting of the date(1) command:
    $ man dateand use it to compose part of the filename:
    fn=fulltest$(date '+%Y%m%d%H%M')The version number is a bit tricky, there are so many choices about how to do it. One way, assuming you just want the filenames to be unique is to:
    if [ -f ${fn} ]; then
       seqno=1
       while [ -f ${fn}_${seqno} ]; do
            seqno=$(expr ${seqno} + 1)
       done
       fn="${fn}_${seqno}"
    fiThere are more succinct ways of expressing this, but this way will work everywhere.

  • Operating system name and version

    HI, I was wondering where SCCM gets the value for "system resource - Operating system and version" from.
    I have created a limiting collection for servers based on "%windows server%" query and a limiting collection based on "%windows workstation%" for workstations.
    Now I noticed that there is also a value "Windows 7 Entreprise 6.1" for system-resource - Operating system name and version.
    Therefore I would like to know where this information comes from as I can no longer be sure tat every device is covered by using "%windows server%" and "%windows workstation%"

    WMI: Win32_OperatingSystem or from AD (don't have a console next to me right now to look that up)

  • Find product name and version using JNDI

    Is there any consistent way to find the directory servers product name and version using JNDI. Our software is being used with iPlanet 5.1 and SunOne Directory Server and I need to distinguish between them. Currently I use some code (see below) to look for an object under o=Netscape root branch. But the object I am looking for is apparently (so my sys admin tells me) created as part of the administration server install.
    public static String[] getNetscapeFamilyDirectoryServerDetails(String ldapHost, int ldapPort, String principalDN, String principalPassword) throws NamingException {
    try {
    NamingEnumeration result = performLdapQuery("ldap://" + ldapHost + ":" + ldapPort,"o=NetscapeRoot?nsproductname,nsproductversion?sub?(&(objectclass=nsApplication)(cn~=Directory))",principalDN,principalPassword);
    if (result.hasMore()) {
    SearchResult sr = (SearchResult)result.next();
    Attribute attribute = sr.getAttributes().get("nsproductname");
    String productName = (String)attribute.get();
    attribute = sr.getAttributes().get("nsproductversion");
    String productVersion = (String)attribute.get();
    return new String[]{productName,productVersion};
    catch (Exception e) {
    if (e instanceof NamingException) {
    throw (NamingException)e;
    return null;
    }

    SELECT i.instance_name, i.host_name, f.release_name RELEASE, i.version, k.patch_level FROM
    v$instance i, fnd_product_groups f, fnd_product_installations k WHERE
    UPPER(SUBSTR(i.instance_name, 1, 4)) = UPPER(SUBSTR(f.applications_system_name, 1, 4)) AND
    k.application_id = '200';

    All,
    Applogize for posting non-oracle questions.
    1.How to find out the host name and version of the OS on Linux and Solaris OS.
    2. How to find out the free space on Solaris in terms of GBs.
    Thanks

    For question 1 on any UNIX system you should be able to use the uname command like in uname -n or uname -a
    For question 2 do you mean memory or disk when you ask about free space?
    Look up sar and df and du.

  • Extension name and version

    Hi,
    I built an InDesign Extension using Flash Builder 4 and CS Extension Builder libraries.
    Extension works good, I just want to change its name and version as I see it in the Extension Manager CS5 (under Extension column I see: "com.example.exampleExt"...).
    How can I do?
    I tried editing the manifest.xml file but it didn't work.
    Thanks.

    Yes. That's the easiest way.
