CS Live - Updating your account...

When I sign in to CS Live through inDesign I always recieve the error: "Updating your account" - it has been happening for days and it is stopping me using Folio Builder. - how can this be fixed?

  • CS Live constantly displays "updating your account"

    From Photoshop 12.1 x64 (on Windows 7 as part of CS5) the CS Live pane never connects fully, it just constantly says "updating your account - we are currently updating your account, please wait a few minutes and try again" (see attached screenshot).  This has displayed ever since I installed the software four weeks ago.  IT was a clean install with no previous version of Photoshop installed.
    The firewall is not blocking it, preferences are set to allow extensions to connect to the internet, other extensions (i.e. Kuler) connect, and I can log into my Adobe ID through the portal.
    No idea what is going on, please help.

    I am getting the same issue.  I'm on a Mac using CS5.5 Photoshop and get that same "We are currently updating your account, please try again in a few minutes" message.  I noticed you posted this back in June and haven't seen a response so hopefully me commenting might grab an Adobe Support person (or anyone's) attention.

  • Error "There was a problem updating your account" and now I can't use editor.

    I've owned my adobe for 4 days now and yesterday I tried opening/editing a photo and it froze up and now will not allow me to do anything because of the error "there was a problem updating your account".  After 4 phone calls of waiting a total of 74 minutes now, I'm a little disappointed at my new purchase & just need help.  Anyone???

    It's a rare day when Windows comes up with an actual solution to an error.
    So, the editor is still shutting down  but the message is now a general "an error has occurred and Photoshop Elements needs to shut down" message?
    See if a reset of your application preference file fixes it.

    Also it's good to look at what the splash screen is saying as it crashes. Usually, it's a good clue.

  • There was a problem updating your account

    I'm trying to startup Elements and when I click on the OK button on the startup screen I get this message "There was a problem updating your account."   So now I can't take advantage of posting my pictures online anymore although I can still edit photos.   I'm using Elements 7 with Vista home edition.  I have all the latest service packs.   Does anybody here know how to fix it?

    It's not clear exactly what you're doing or how PSE is responding at startup.   But it sounds like you might be experiencing similar symptoms as these people:

    Their workaround was to go directly to Photoshop.com in their browser and log in.
    If this doesn't help you, please come back with more precise details about what you're doing and what you see.

  • TS1424 IOS 6 update completed.  Can't update apps now because I get warning stating "Your account is not valid for use in the Japanese store.  You must switch to the U.S. store before purchase."  How do I switch back?

    Ysterday I updated to the new IOS6 on my Iphone 4.  The phone service is provided by the Softbank carrier in Japan but I am an American and my Itunes account is U.S.  After the update I get this warning when trying to install app updates "Your account is not valid for use in the Japanese store.  You must switch to the U.S. store before purchase."  This is something that must have occured during the the IOS6 install so my question is how do I get my Iphone 4 to recognize the U.S. store again?

    Open the App Store and tap "featured", go down untill you see your Apple ID... enter there and tap "View Apple ID"... it should automatically ask you if you want to switch the store. Switch and thats all.

    It's a phishing attempt to get your account id and password, the 'validate' link on that page isn't an Apple website (there are similar phishing attempts regularly posted on here) - you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]

Is this them suggesting that I may be getting a CLI in the near future?     Is there any way of live updating your ipod whilst not connected to your computer. Especially with Smart playlists, e.g. Recently played playlist

    Unfortunately, the iPod Classic need USB cable, to connect to PC and iTunes to update.
    It is not a IOS device like iPod Touch or iPhone, that has WIFI hardware and software.

    hi i received an email (twice) apparently from apple (title "upgrade your account"). It reports that the system detected unusual charges to the credit card. They ask for all details after clicking on a reference number in the email. All looks like apple. Is it a fraud? Have you ever received such msg?

    We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
    I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather .

    Whenever I updated or downloaded a new app from the App Store, a message appears saying:

    I made some research online and asked a few of my friends with the same problem. All they did was sign out of iTunes from settings>iTunes & App Stores or from the App Store itself and signed back in. It worked for many of them but not with my iPhone 4s. It really does get on my nerves to always sign out and back in to the App Store as it sometimes works and allows me to update and download or most of the time it doesnt.
    When viewing my Apple ID account on my iPhone (after entering the password) it either views my account or says:
    "This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the U.S. iTunes Store. You will be switched to that Store. Try your purchase again."
    So I press on OK then either switches me to the App Store app of its choice, or says "Cannot connect to iTunes Store".
    I tried restoring iOS6 hoping it was a bad installation, but i still have the same problem.
    Can anyone help me please?

    Are you sure your AppleID is NOT tied to the US store? If you are trying to buy an app from the Swedish store you will be unable to do that. Some apps are only available on certain stores. That is why you get the "Cannot connect to the iTunes store" message when trying to buy that app. Your updates are being done from the US store ; thats why you can update sometimes and sometimes not.
    If you keep encountering problems contact iTunes support. They will help you sort it out.
