CS Plugin failure on startup

Hi All - I have Photoshop CS. I just upgraded my computer from Windows XP to Windows Vista - 64 bit. I reinstalled Photoshop CS and it worked perfectly on the new computer. I then ran the Windows Vista Easy Transfer program to transfer my files and settings from my old XP computer to my new Vista computer. Now when I start Photoshop on my new computer, I get an error message that says -
"The application has failed to start because NkNEFPlugin.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the issue."
I reinstalled Photoshop CS on my new computer, but continue to get the error message. When I click the "OK" button at the error message, Photoshop appears to continue loading and seems to run and operate properly.
Does anybody have any idea what is happening and what, if anything, I should do to fix this. Thanks.

Dave - Thanks for your prompt response. That Plugin from Nikon is from an older transfer version that is no longer used by my current Nikon camera. It's nice to know that I can just disregard the error message.

Safari 6.0.5 plugin failure x Flash player

Hello,
Two days ago I've opened my Safari 6.0.5 like I do everyday and suddenly I have the plugin Failure problem, I can't watch any vids on youtube or anything. I've been reading solutions for it and I did all the troubleshoot I've found, but no positive result.
I have Chrome and it works fine since it has it's own plugin attached. But I don't want to use chrome since I actually like this version of Safari, but I might change my mind in the end if I dont find a solution for this

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

[bug-report] AI CC for Mac got "loading plugin error" at startup

Enviornment: 2012 late Mac Mini, OSX 10.8.6( English )
Just fresh installed adobe illustrator cc for Mac(Simplified Chinese), which is got "loading plugin error" at startup, even update AI or reinstall it after using adobe cc clean tool.
Finally I found it will be solved by selecting default lanugauge (North America English) at installer. Then I changed my OSX language to S Chinese then installed S_Chinese version AI CC that works without problem.
So, it shows AI got some language compatiabitily bug which is not happen on PS and InDesign (I installed Simplified Chinese version of both them on my english OSX without error)
Plz fix it in next version. Thanks so much.

Plugin Failure Mac

Out of the blue, I am unable to upload images. Facebook, photo websites- they will not allow me to upload. I get a 'plugin failure' message and that's all it says. I have uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled and restarted and it still doesn't work. I don't get it. I am having no other problems. Video, etc. works fine. It's just image upload. I'm running Safari on Mountain Lion -the most current version. Help! It's driving me crazy. It always worked fine before- I don't know what changed.

How do I disable the Plugin check at startup in 17.0.2 esr?

In testing the latest 17.0.2esr I keep getting the plugin check at startup. Even logged in as a Standard user with no Admin rights I still get this page which makes no sense since Standard users do not have permissions to install software. This is supposed to be the Enterprise version of Firefox which in my mind means that all updates and controls are left to the dicretion of an Administrator and not an end user. Is this a bug in ESR? How do I eliminate this?

This can happen if there are plugins installed that are block-listed by Mozilla.

After downloading and installing Adope Reader 11.0.6 I get "plugin failure" when I try to open a video link or watch a program in an archive. How can I fix this?

My browser is Safari in Mac OS 10.9.2. Don't know if they are Flash videos, but it sounds likely.

On Mavericks can't stream movies/shows on Netflix..Plugin Failure

Everytime I try to stream something from netflix I get plugin failure...My Netflix is basically worthless now. Never had this problem on Snow Leopard. It ****** me off. I have updated silverlight and still no luck! Can anyone help me.

I'm fairly frustrated, too. I have to imagine that between Microsoft's end-of-lifing Silverlight, Netflix and others wanting DRM to be embedded as a part of the web's spec, and how, at least in the US, we don't seem to care if we have network neutrality, I think we're going to face some interesting changes in services like Netflix and Hulu in the coming months. Unless we can convince our corporations that we really don't want DRM in our videos the same as we don't want DRM in our music and that some form of mandated network neutrality is fundamental to our freedom online; well, I think we'll still remain tied to these bloody proprietary plug-ins for streaming. Certainly, we're at the mercy of Microsoft, Netflix, Comcast, Apple, indeed most major content providers to grant we measly users access to services for which we already pay.
You can tell I'm most unimpressed, as well. Please let me know if you find a solution.

NTFS plugin failure

Utilizing version 10.2....I actually deleted the old search and created a new one because of changing one thing or another and felt it was better to begin from scratch. Actually was able to crawl the particular server and got fetch failures. So, I guess I've got the crawl issue beat...I probably just need to adjust a few more parameters to be able to get a full crawl. I'm actually very new at Oracle and kind of swinging in the dark trying things out.

Youtube Plugin Failure?

When i try to watch something on youtube on my macbook air it comes up with plugin failure. How can i fix the plugin?

1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

    Follow the prompts.
    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.

Can anyone help in fixing a Plugin-Failure when attempting to access youtube video

Having problems accessing video from youtube and other sites. What shows up on the screen is "Plugin-Failure". Tried going to Safari>Preferences>Security and made sure that Enable JavaScript and Allow Plug-ins are checked and Block pop-up windows is not checked, didn't help. What else can I do?

How do I fix my plugin failure problems?

I recently have been having problems with watching vids on youtube. None of the vids play. All I see is plugin failure. So I downgraded from adobe 13 to 12 But still the same problem.

    Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
                Press the”Details” button. A sheet will drop down.
                Enter YouTube in the search box at the top right corner.
                Highlight the YouTube entries that shows up.
                Click the “Remove” button at the bottom, then “Done”.
It is better to keep the Adobe Flash Player updated.

Lion browser plugin failures

Since upgrading to lion 7.3 keep having Firefox and Safari plugin failures/crashes when tryig to access embedded website files - ppt, pdfs,word docs, whatever.
Tried various fixes found on forums and no success.
Any suggestions please

4) chmod -R 755 /opt/ovm-console

Machine will freeze-up mid start, freeze-up and fail to shut down. Sometimes, just to keep things interesting it will get all the way to desktop and then the Mac version of the Blue Screen of death will appear and I have to restart.

I've run Onyx, Cocktail & MacCleanse with minimal success... fails a little less frequently for a brief period.
I'm fairly conversant with computers but I'm either missing something simple or I'm way out of my depth.
I've got no ego about this and would appreciate any advice.

I'm not real good with the log messages, but I would try a few things.
1. RAM
    a. Check to make sure that all the modules are firmly seated in the slots.
    b. What RAM was used, recheck the spec's?
    c. Reinstall the original RAM modules.
2. USB and FireWire devices
    a. Disconnect all of your USB and FireWire devices and see if it will startup normally.
    b. If so, then slowly start adding the devices back on one at a time and test each device.
3. Checking and/or removing some third party software and drivers
    a. com.eset.kext.esets_kac
    b. com.seagate.driver.PowSecDriverCore

OS 10.4.5 failure to startup-login window/ black screen/ blue screen-frozen

To anybody that can help me, I thank you very much indeed in advance.
G4 Powerbook, 1.5gHz, 2gb Ram (1gb kingston ram added since purchase date), OS 10.4.5, security update 2006-002 (v1.1 (?) recently installed).
My current problem is that i cannot log into OS X. It boots as far as the login window, which is unresponsive, and then it then flicks to a black screen with 2 or 3 lines of white text and then flicks to a totally 'mac-blue' screen with the black arrow pointer still active.
A history of my problem;
1) Yes, unfortunately I tried to get front row to work on my machine (the hack with the front row enabler etc), and subsequently removed all traces of it after it screwed up a few things (menu bar missing, failure to restart). This tidy-up involved doing something with system library, bezel services...etc.
2) I recently installed the first version of security update 2006-002. i am not saying this is the cause, but sometime after I did this, things started going wrong again. another thing i did recently which i hadnt in the past was to have itunes appear at startup and a few days later i emptied my hard drive of all my music and had this linked to a lacie 250gb via firewire 800. The problem at this was that login/startup was incredibly slow and sometimes the finder would keep relaunching itself on its own once the operating system was up and running. Also, when i tried safe boot, the login window would appear and then it would flick to a black screen. it would let me type in a username, but it would not let me input anything for the password.(I did use disk utility to repair permissions when i did manage to logon).
This whole problem seemed to go away for a day or two, but the login was still slower than usual the past few days.
I then turned on my powerbook this morning and login was extremely long and never completed fully- lots of pinwheel spins, menu bar not loading, itunes not appearing.
After a few forced shutdowns I left the computer for maybe 5-10 mins and it seemed to sort itself out after a few finder relaunches etc, and so i tried a few things;
3) I tried installing the newer version of the security update 2006-002 version 1.1 i think? At the same time i took itunes off the startup launches and also switched off auto login for my account (a silly idea it seems).
Since restarting from the security update, the operating system gets to the login window, which is unresponsive, and then it then flicks to a black screen with 2 or 3 lines of white text and then flicks to a totally 'mac-blue' screen with the black arrow pointer still active.(this is with the power adaptor connected only, no other cables etc)
I have tried Resetting PRAM, and using fsck, although I am slightly unsure as to whether or not this is useful to me anyway. I cannot reinstall the operating system until next week as my mum has my copy of tiger at home a few hundred miles away!
Any help at all would be so greatly appreciated, especially on the eve of my two year anniversary with my powerbook!

I've just encountered this problem with one of our computers at work. Hopefully this will help.
It's a Login Window Prefs problem. It's probably corrupted so you need to remove the prefs file.
1. Startup in safe mode (hold down shift). You should get a login window for the master admin account.
2. Delete the file: userName>Library>Preferences>com.apple.loginwindow.plist
3. Restart.
