CS2 and Xerox page positioning errors

Hi
I am having problems with positioning my drawing on the page. On screen it looks fine but prints out 3mm to the right. It could be a problem with the firmware on my printer (Xerox) however our other office has the same model printer and this problem has never occured.
Has anyone had difficulties with Xerox printers or can the page settings in Illustrator be changed, baring in mind files have to be transfered from office to office.

This is the problem, I have set using page tiling the position of the drawing. When printed it moves 3mm to the right (only with A3 incidentily).

I just updated to Leopard andexcept for a few minor burps, most everything is working except printing from InDesign CS2. When I try to print to my Xerox Phaser 6120, in the printer queue window I get the error:

It looks to me like xc6120pstops is crashing and dumping core. Or maybe the issue is with pictwpstops . If I switch over to the "Generic" PostScript printer everything works just fine (but I loose duplexing). And no problems printing from other applications, at least yet.
Has anyone else seen a similar problem?

I seem to be having the same problem with my Xerox Phaser 6120 although it is not application specific. xc6120pstops crashes even if I just print a test page. Generic postscript printer works fine. I've managed to set the printer default to use the duplexer via the web interface, but I'd still rather have full access to the driver.
The Crashreporter log (which oddly reports that xc6120pstops is PPC even though it should be Intel) indeed shows a crash, but I don't know how to interpret any of the detailed information:

Mavericks Reboot, and Safari Page Loading Errors

I've had my iMac (21.5" 3.06 i3) for about 3 years running just great. Never an unexpected reboot or any problems related to web browsing with Safari. I upgrade the software to Mavericks when it was released.
Now the problems have set in. Daily, Safari gives me a warning that it had to re-launch a web site because it failed to load properly (a first its ever done that). There is no reson or consistancy with the pages/sites that it dose this on. And worse yet, within the last two weeks or so...the iMac just shuts down, and reboots (PC Blue Screen of Death) syndrome. And now this is becoming repeat offence.
I have Avast as an anti virus and completed full scans, nothing seems to be the problem there.
So is anyone else having issues with these two problems as they most likely are related to Mavericks...at least thats the only thing thats changed since the problems have appeared.
Any thoughts?

Enable Gatekeeper to prevent malware.
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected. If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

I was able to get part way through cs4, it showed up in my downloads but never got as far in the process as to ask for serial numbers. I tried with cs2 and I got an error message that some bit of information was incorrect. I currently have both downloaded on two other lap tops I own. One is operational and one is dead. I cannot access the dead one to remove the program. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Page Setup Issue with InDesign CS3 and Xerox DC240 w/ external Fiery

Running on OS 10.4.11
Printing to Xerox DC2400 w/ External Fiery (driver v1.1 v3016.102)
Application InDesign CS3 v. 5.0.2
When I send a document in CS3 to print, I have to constantly go to the page setup and select the proper paper size and orientation in order to print properly. In CS2, I was able to set all this by simply going to the Setup window and designating my paper size and orientation there. Does anyone have the same or similar issue? Were you able to resolve it? All suggestions are welcomed. I have contacted Xerox and they say that this is not an issue with their driver, they say that this is an application level issue!!

I think I may have figured it out by trial and error. In the Pages palette, there's an option in the pulldown called "Panel Options". I set both sizes to "Small" and turned off "Thumbnails". Seems to have worked - knock wood. Presumably when thumbnails is turned on, InDesign is updating the contents of the document AND the pages palette thumbnail simultaneously. Anyway, that seems to have fixed it. Just wanted to post this solution FYI for anyone else who may be having this problem.

When you go to the download page, you must do two things:
Download this file: PhSp_CS2_English.exe on the download page.
Use the serial number on the download page in order to install your non-activation copy.
Do not use your old CD or serial number. It no longer works.
If you have Windows 7, the advice is to turn off UAC and run the installer as Administrator.

Partial page printing with newer HP Laserjets and Xerox printers

I have been using Cyrstal Reports Developer 9.2 with .NET 2003 for a couple years now with no problems. We recently installed some new printers. HP Laserjet 4250 and Xerox Phaser 6300N. On both of these new printers the crystal report printout comes out as only a partial page. The area of the report printed is only about 4 inches x 4 inches in the upper left hand corner. The rest of the page is blank. It is not a margin setting on the printer. All other printouts work correctly from web, office products, etc.
If you force the 4250 to use the older 4100 printer driver the problem goes away but that is not a good long term solution. What do I need to do to get my Crystal Reports to work on these newer printers???

Had similar issue with my HP Deskjet F4500C All in one printer, here's what I did:
make sure these packages are installed or install them
pacman -S cups cups-pdf hplip pyqt3 python2-pyqt
pacman -S system-config-printer-gnome
rc.d cups start
To add device and install hp driver:
1. Run ‘hp-setup’ as root.
2. Click ‘Show Advanced Options’ button and check-enable ‘Manual Discovery’.
3. Enter IP address 192.168.59.63 in the ‘…device ID…’ entry and click ‘Next’ to install driver.
run system-config-printer as root, to add printer
# system-config-printer
click “Add”， Select Device -> Network Printer -> input the IP address of the printer such as “192.168.1.3″, click “Find” -> “Process”
you should be ok from here, if not some further steps:

These files will often open in Photoshop 7.0.1 or in CS1 but not in CS2.
The trouble may be caused by bad dates in the EXIF data and can originate from an incorrectly-programmed digital camera; or from a scan that was created after after Jan1 of this year (because of a known bug in some scanner software).
If someone runs into the "Could not complete your request because of a program error" problem, and does not have CS1, try opening the Tiff in TextEdit.
The EXIF data is right at the top. Check the EXIF data for bad creation dates and change any incorrect ones there.
Save and close; and then the file will probably open in CS2 without a murmur.

Trash/archive Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store.

Hello PW, I am having this problem and all suggestions haven't worked yet. Where is the Preferences|Documents you are referring to? I am on a PC and using Windows.

And it is only a problem if you want a blank first screen. Personally, it would drive me nuts always having to swipe over one page to get to my apps - the only time I unlock my iPhone is to use it or run an app, so no, I have no need nor desire to have a first screen with no icons at all.
But, if they'd put it in as an option so people like yourself can also have what they want, that's fine too So send them your feedback (they actually do listen - iOS 5 includes a number of things people have been asking for on these forums, like being able to delete individual entries from the call history, inproved alerts/notifications, being able to opt out of all the location based data they collect,...).

I read some of the questions and responses here and went to ~/Library/Safari and threw out the webpages.db file and emptied the trash and rebooted.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. MySQL Sytax error with master and detail pages

Master and Detail pages.
I get an SQL error when I click on an Item in the Master
page.
“You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual

If I try to open the detail page I get

Sorry I have solved it myself.
I had accidentally put a space in a table header in the mySQL
data bank.
All works well now.
