CS2 Crashing on my Macbook Pro

I do a lot of image editing using Photoshop CS2 and just recently it has begun crashing on me a few minutes after I open the application. What steps should I take to get this repaired? Do I need to reinstall it? Dowload a plug-in?
I have the Creative Suite and have not had any trouble with Illustrator or InDesign Crashing. Also, I recently downloaded some new fonts for Illustrator right around the same time that Photoshop began crashing on me - do you think this could have something to do with my Photoshop troubles?

Pre-CS3 releases are a pain in the neck, as they're "not supported" but may work.
If it is working, there's no telling when the next system update will change that for you, and it runs slower at that.
I bought a copy of CS just for the sake of enabling the cheap CS4 Extended upgrade, so I checked google to research peoples' experiences with older-than-CS3 versions, and it's very much hit or miss.
I'd honestly try and rule out CS2 if you can afford to upgrade.
A PPC-equipped Mac may actually cost less than that option, but, eh... it's Photoshop for ya.

If you subscribed to iTunes match the songs are kept in icloud. If you didn't but you did save the actual iTunes library folder which should include the music, video, etc. you should be able to just drag this file back to your machine in the same place and when you open iTunes it will give you a chance to identify the iTunes library folder.
You can test this to find out if you saved the media files or not and don't need to attach your nano to do it.
You are correct that once you connect the nano it will clear the existing files from it and sync it with the new iTunes library.
If you don't have the media files i'm not sure if/how to get them back on a windows ipod. I have everything backed up regularly because of the horror stories I have seen & heard.

I think how you understand the value of having backups. All you can do is:
General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten by using recovery software such as MAC Data Recovery, Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro. Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive. Two free alternatives are Disk Drill and TestDisk. Look for them and demos at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads. Recovery software usually provide trial versions that enable you to determine if the software would help before actually paying for it. Beyond this or if the drive has completely failed, then you would need to send the drive to a recovery service which is very expensive.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

You will need an external enclosure for the old drive so you can connect it to the computer in order to try the recovery software before you buy it. But if they don't work then you will need to send the drive to a recovery service such as Drive Savers.

You probably downloaded the Lightroom Creative Cloud version. Your Perpetual License key will not work.
Uninstall the existing version of Lightroom, this process will not affect your Catalog, Preferences or personal files.
Then download the correct version from the link below, install and enter the license. Every thing should be just fine. (Also by displaying your License Key for all to see anyone can use it to have a free copy of the program)

What is the crash notice you receive? OS X is very good about keeping extensive, detailed crash logs. If you launch Applications > Utilities > Console.app and open the "User Diagnostic Reports" group on the left, can you drag the most recent Audition crash report into an e-mail to [email protected] ? The contents of that file should make it more clear to us why Audiiton or the OS thinks a crash is happening and will help focus troubleshooting.

Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC crash on my MacBook Pro 15" Retina (2013)

I have a Mac Pro 12-Core (Late 2013) and a MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Late 2013). While there is no problem with the Adobe Creative Cloud products on the Mac Pro, I can't work with Photoshop and Illustrator on the MacBook Pro, cause it always tells me "undefined error" or that I wouldn't have the write-rights for the hard drive or file, even when there's no file opened. Illustrator crashes constantly while starting the program.
I tried to do a new installation by de-installing the programs including cloud desktop program with the Adobe de-installers. Didn't help at all. I tried to delete the programs including all hidden files manually, but it didn't work. After the new installation of the programs I still get the same error information. What else can I do? Other Non-Adobe programs like Final Cut, QuarkXpress aso work without problems and I really don't want to do a new setup on my Mac just because of the Adobe problem.
So, who can help me? What can I do to solve the problem?

Maverick keeps crashing on my macbook pro.

Hi, I upgraded the OS on my macbook pro back in December to Mavericks. I needed to update the firmware on a unit I was installing and it required Windows, thus needed to bootcamp. The crashing started there after and has progressed until now it crashes about 6-7 times a day. I've both upgraded the RAM and had the hard drive replaced since then (neither really helped with the crashing). I'm reasonably computer literate (B.S. Physics, tech geek, programming a 3d Vessel Simulator and the hydrodynamics for the model), I'm just not that familiar with Macs. Please find below the ethercheck printout. Mac App Store keeps crashing on my MacBook Pro

The App Store on my MacBook Pro shows I have updates that I need to install but I can't do that because everytime I try to open it, it crashes. I can't even fool it by going to get the new software update. I have OS 10.8.2 and the error message I get is:
Any help on how to get my neccessary updates? Is this a bug? I've not updated my iPhone or iPod yet to the newest iOS because I'm afraid it might do the same thing!

Mac OS Mavericks is crashing on my macbook Pro

I have a Macbook Pro Processor: 2.66Ghz Intel Core i7 Memory: 8GB DDR3i recently upgraded to mavericks after that my laptop got very slow, also now it has started to crash a lot of times. while running the screen just becomes white and there is this message comes: "your system has been restrted due to some reason" .. blah blah blah after that when i restart my laptop it takes a lot to time to come back to senses as it does spotlight indexing and all that all over again.
Also i am facing many issues with USB evga connector(USB to VGA); the monitor which is connected via EVGA is runnig very slow with quite a lag, after installing mavericks which was working prefectly with mountain lion.
After facing all these problems I believe that the number of issues that have been introduced are more that number of features in mavericks. People at apple just can't keep up the quality without "Steve Jobs". Its all over windows again.

After Install tried to sync with my iPhone and a dialog box pops up stating "this iPhone synced with another iTunes library, erase and sync?". I checked the manually manage music and videos box because I don't want all my wife's pics and music on my iPhone. How do I Sync without erasing what I have on my iPhone???

Why not simply make a playlist with the songs you want on the iPhone?

Why does iPhoto 9.43 update crash on my MacBook Pro

I recently updated iPhoto to 9.43 on my MacBook Pro. When I open iPhoto it tells me that it needs to upgrade the iPhoto library to work with this upgrade - when I click on Upgrade - it goes for a split second and crashes. I have un-intalled iPhoto and re-installed another copy - same problem. Any help is appreciated.

Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database
