Cs2 Illustrator education version will not install on mac

I installed the education version of CS2. Illustrator and InDesign won't install. Photoshop, GoLive, Bridge, Acrobat and Version Cue install fine.  I completely uninstalled CS2 and re-installed it.  In the dialogue box that asks if you want to install the entire suite or selected components, I can't select entire suite and if I click Selected Components, Illustrator and InDesign are greyed out and not selectable.
Anyone have a good idea why this is happening?
Thanks

It will. You can't install CS2 after installing CS3 or 4. Doesn't work. Uninstall the CS4 and dump all files, esp shared libs. You may have to use the CS4 Clean Script to remove all the associated parts.

  • Download version will not install on MacBook

I purchased Version 2.0 as an upgrade download, but it will not install on a MacBook. Is there some trick. I have the multimedia version or so I thought.
    Thank you,

You can't install the App Store version of Mavericks because your model needs a special version. If you ever need to reinstall it, boot into Recovery.

  • Help!  Flash Player 14.0.0.125 (latest version) will not install?

Help!  Have been trying to install Flash Player 14.0.0.125 (latest version) on my MacBook Pro.  It will not install.  I've tried all the suggested trouble shooting, uninstalling and redownloading, etc., etc. and still get the same result, or non-result.  Appreciate any and all suggestions!

    Carl,
Do you get any error messages suggesting why Flash Player can't be installed? Did you already have it installed and, if so, did you try to update through the Preference Pane? Have you tried restarting and making sure that all browsers are closed before installing?
    Call back,

  • Filemaker Pro 6 trial version will not install on iBook

iBook G4 running OS 10.4 will not install the Filemaker Pro 6 trial version. I am attempting to use it to update files from version 3. I downloaded the trial version from their site, and attempted to open it (it is a .sit file) and it says it cannot open the file.
The filemaker site is useless, and I find it impossible to find out how to activate my sign in ID to ask a simple question and they do not have any answers that I can find.
The version 3 was on my G3 PPC OS 9 laptop. Those files I will copy to the iBook G4 and supposedly I can update them using version 6.
Any ideas on opening this .sit file?
    J

OS9 can handle archive file format .sit
OSX uses only .dmg file format
You have to search the web for a (trial or free) version of Stuffit Expander 2010 for Mac if you want to open  the file using OSX 10.4

  • ITunes new version will not install

Im using a fairly new Samsung laptop with windows 7 (installed from manufacturer) and the newest version of itunes stops part way through install and will not finish. I can not update my iphone without the latest version... whats going on with this?

    Hello there, pbrady2691.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some recommendations for troubleshooting:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

  • Visio 2013 32-bit trial version will not install even with other 32-bit MS products only.

Trying to load MS Visio 2013 Trial to determine if it works so I can purchase full version.
Environment: MacBook Pro, w/ VMWare Fusion 4, Windows 7, running only MS Project 32-bit on the VMWare side. MS Office is not installed only MS Project.
Downloaded Visio 2013 Trial img file and attempted to install. Received 64-bit conflict with 32-bit software error message. Deleted Visio 2013 64-bit version and redownloaded Visio 2013 Trial img this time in 32-bit. Tried to install but the same 64-bit
conflict message is appearing.  As the only software I have installed is MS Project 32-bit it does not appear that there should be a conflict.  I have scanned TechNet and Googled to try and understand how to determine and resolve the conflict but
there are no threads to address this specific problem.
P.S. I cannot uninstall and reinstall MS Project as I spent hours on the phone with Microsoft and VMWare Support to get it installed the first time so I don't want to mess with an existing environment that is finally working.
Microsoft online chat recommended calling MS Support and they have now sent me to you. Can you please help?

    Dear Smith_123:
Thank you for your reply. However, Office had never been previously on the OS as it was never purchased.  I do have Office for Mac 2011 but that is 32 bit and is not on the VMWare / Windows side of the machine.  But even if I had, I would not know
how to clean up the residual file or registry keys without assistance.
After 1 hours and 20 min on the phone last evening and being handed from person to person through literally 9 different people, I finally reached someone that seemed knowledgeable in MS Support.  But all they would give me was a circular answer:
We can't help you because it is a Trial Version for which there is no support offered. When I explained I wanted to be sure Visio worked on my machine prior to spending between $300 and $600 on a copy, Support could only say that I would have to purchase it
first before they would give me any help to see if it works. When I offered to purchase it right then since I had finally gotten to someone who appeared as though they could help, he told me that he was Support and not Sales so I would have to go elsewhere
to purchase the product.  Very frustrating.

  • Flash will not install on Mac OS X.5.7.

Attachment will not open without Flash. Download is successful. menu indicated installation was successful but app does not show up in APPs, therefore attachment will not open.  Apple help said Adobe would have to solve.  This is a MacBook, OS 10.5.7.  I have tried Safari and Firefox.  Same result.  I tried browsing for help but nothing fits.

Hi everyone, I have been having similar problems, I kept getting this message when I'd open a window in safari on mac osx.5.7
"need MINE type plug-in for Adobe plug-in shockwave flashplayer"
I was sent to a bunch of sites. I tried downloading flash player 10 but had no success
hardrive, applications, Utilities folder, Disk utility, then selected the hard drive and clicked "repair disc permissions". apparently this repairs parts of HD and I wanted to try to install FP10 after. Still didn't work, and I got the same message. SO I WENT AND GOOGLED "shockwave flash and went to the Adobe page to DOWNLOAD SHOCKWAVE PLAYER.

  • My java app will not install on mac.

Ok guys, I am planning on getting a new mac soon, but my java app that I use alot will not run on the mac. It comes with an install.sh that does not work. Any idea on how to convert the .bat installer into some shell script? I have uploaded the java app at the link below
    http://rapidshare.com/files/79109307/lite1750.zip.html

    mosesdog2 wrote:
    The install.bat code is:
    @echo off
    cd %~dp0
    java -classpath ./;./jars/tools.jar;./jars/nexus.jar impsoft.nexus.installer.Install
    pause
I need to somehow have some shell script to do that.
This is just an installer, so you only need to run it once. Run Terminal.app, "cd" to that fodler, and type:
    java -classpath ./;./jars/tools.jar;./jars/nexus.jar impsoft.nexus.installer.Install

  • Desktop 4.7 (or any other version) will not install

I'm a newbie, but not illiterate. Love my new Storm, but the Desktop software just WON'T install, either off the CD or from the download (same for versions 4.5 and 4.6, which i tried).  Running Vista Ultimate.
On execting 470_b050_english_nomediamanager, the deocmpression is fine.  It goes thru the script fine until it tries to actually install the program.. it freezes, just sits there (until it times out).  I've scoured the Internet trying to find what might casue this problem.  But most people are reporting "sync" problems AFTER they've installed.
I don't think it's another process running.  I don't think it's contention with a Vista Service (tho i can't prove that).  Other InstallShield apps install fine. And i don't think it's Norton Internet Security. But it's something.  Will somebody more knowledgable please ask me questions?  This is driving me nuts!
Thanks! And Happy New Year to all who answer this post!

    Hi,
Are you saving the file to a separate directory like c:\temp then executing the file?
or are you executing the file from the download screen. I recommend the second.
    Thanks,
