Will CS2 load and run on a 64 Bit Windows 7 computer?

Which CS2 product exactly?
Should be OK though.

  • How can I do a manual install of ACR 7.4 in 64-bit Win 7 PSE 11?

I found detailed instructions on this forum that I think were for  32-bit Win 7 but I'm hoping 64-bit install is different since I followed them and still no success.  I know that 8.1 is supposed to be able to be manually installed and that would be ok too but I really only need to go from 7.1 to 7.4 and the update function is greyed out.  I started with a trial version on that machine so maybe that has something to do with it?  It is registered and activated.  Tried to uninstall/re-install and still no luck(didn't check the "de-activate" though so maybe I need to try again and choose this?
Not afraid to try a manual install if it is in fact different.
This is the thread I followed - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1266134
I have the PSE 11 on a Mac platform also and was able to update it no problem...can't get the Win 7 to work for the life of me.
    Thanks for any responses.

    Glad it worked.
There is one more thing you should install and those are the camera raw profiles for 8.1
Download the 8.1 DNG Converter and run the installer to install the camera raw profiles.
(those profiles would normally be installed if the updater in your pse 11 was working)

    Hi csco12434455 ,
Try to go to the following link, the name of the file is: Web deployment package for Windows platforms.
This file does support W7 32 and 64 bits
    https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286281272&flowid=72042&softwareid=282364313&release=3.1.06073&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
    Reference link:

And yes you can use ASDM to upload the file to the ASA flash , just go to  Tools > File managment.

  • Acrobat Pro XI and 64 bit Win 8.1 installation problem

When I try to install Acrobat Pro XI on my 64 bit Win 8.1 system it's not able to find some files.
    For example:  Xtras\AdobePDF\Amd64Vista
If I skip that file, and the others, it says "Installation Failed". If I try to run it I get error 16.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Dean

I would run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and delete any Acrobat folders that have been created, then try again. Be sure to log in as the administrator and disable anti-virus when you have problems like this.

  • Issues with 64 bit win 7 clients printing from 2008 R2 print server

    Hello All,
I have a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 64 bit server built with a print server role. My issue is  64 bit win 7 clients cannot add a new printer. The clients see the printer in the list, starts the printer installation, get to the point of downloading the
driver & then fails ' Windows cannot connect to the printer. ' the error is 0x0000012 or 0x000003ee. Any way I try to add the new printer I get the same result. The only way I can get the printer added is to do a local printer with the full path \\servername\printer_name
and then "have disk" and point to the driver folder on the print server to get the printer added.
Anyone have any thoughts on why the 64 bit clients will not add a new printer from a 64 bit print server ?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
Please check if you can ping the print server successfully from this Windows 7 client computer. Did you encounter
the same issue when add other printers? Or just for this one printer?
    Please type
regedit on Run to open Registry Editor and follow the path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Connections and check if there has existent printer connection on the registry key.
If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Justin Gu

  • 64-bit Win 7 and new Mac Mini

I have the newest Mac Mini (HDMI and 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo). Boot Camp's online PDF document says that Mini's can't run Windows 7 64-bit. I am assuming this is wrong now with the even more powerful Minis on the market.
Can you run 64-bit Win 7 on the newest Mini?

Yeah, I wrote this wrong. Its ITunes has stopped working and Windows is trying to solve problem, then shuts down.
I have un-installed , re-installed. Tried earlier version and that wont work any more. Changes firewall, pop-ups whatever...........nothing works. And Apple has been no help. Run test and it says all test are good even to Apple store??

  • Run PE8 (and PSE8) with 64-bit Win 7

    My hardware

64-bit Win 7 OS (full clean custom install)
dual-STI NVIDIA GForce 6800 video cards (w/64-bit drivers)
    6 GB RAM
What's the latest word on successfully running PE8 (and PSE8) with 64-bit Win 7 (particularly with my current very stable computer setup above)?

I haven't had any serious issues as such with my Win7 64 bit PC.

I am not certain how your post contributes to an understanding of the question asked.
Great that you have Premiere Elements 10 and 11 on Windows 7 32 bit, but you are not pointing out to the writer that, under those circumstances, your Premiere Elements 10 and 11 are 32 bit applications running in a 32 bit computer environment and as such have the limitations of 32 bit system, including max supported installed RAM = 4.0 of which typically 3.0 or less of that are available.
And you have not indicated how the writer of the thread would obtain a 64 bit version of versions 10 and 11 if that was what is wanted.
All of those points and more had been made in the thread before your post.
How is your post responding to the thread as titled and question described?

  • Install cs2 on 64 bit

any help out there for installing cs2 on win 7 64bit?

    Hi Michael--
Upon continued research we found your statement "CS 2 isn't compatible with Windows 7 32-bit no less 64-bit." not quite true. We grant you that, in it's raw state, Windows 7 will not install, activate, register etc. CS2 programs. That's been the Adobe position for quite a while.
Now that we have Windows 7 in hand and can play we found that if you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate edition you can acquire for $89.95 and download/install in an hour or so "Windows Virtual PC" and "Windows XP Mode".[Note: This feature is not available on Home editions].
We purchased the platform and once it is installed we had a "Windows XP platform" on our Windows 7 machine. From that point forward the installation of CS2 and many other of our old favorite programs was a snap. We've opened and worked with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign etc. with no problems.
And, by the way, Premiere Pro 2.0 intalled easily on Windows 7. We're testing it now with some sub-1080p projects.
As to the long nagging problem of Adobe Installer not recognizing the downloaded CS2 CAB files during installation, we worked around by just saying OK when the installer asked for the next disc and immediately clicked on the desired disc in a seperate exlorer window which contained all the download files.
So that's the workaround for us. Now we wait to see who wins the race to enchant users with 64 bit editing and imaging suites.
    Thanks for all your help.

  • Updating Palm TX to 32 bit Win 7 Pro from XP: use XP mode? Or Win 7?

I am really good at making fatal errors with technology and my Palm is too critical to risk,  so I bought a 32 bit laptop, with Windows 7 pro and XP mode installed.
I have scoured the forums  but all I can find are problems/solutions with 64 bits (which is what scared me off in the first place of course).
First, should I install in XP mode?  Or will installing in Win 7 in a 32 bit computer go smoothly?
Second, can I safely use my original disc with the 4.2 version of Palm Desktop?
Finally, for my peace of mind, would you kindly check my checklist for errors or omissions or danger zones.
    1) synch the device to Palm desktop
    2) backup to my SD card with NVBackup
    3) Open XP mode  - or do not open XP mode as you recommend
    4) install Palm desktop  (from disc or download as you recommend)
    5) enter the same user name as on the device/ xp computers
    6) change conduits to Handheld overrides desktop
    7) synch with the cable. Make tea. Be calm.
    8) check data on handheld and on desktop for errors.
    9) When somewhat confident all is well, return conduits to synchronize except for Backup which stays as Handheld overrides desktop. (nor sure why, but it is the default I guess.)
    Thanks,

  • How to install legacy (my original licensed) Photoshop 4 on new 64-bit Win PC, so I can then upgrade to current v?

I have used Photoshop for many years, starting with my original licensed purchase of Photoshop 4. I have progressively upgraded this to my current CS5. However, my first Win 7 64-bit PC will not install the legacy version at all. So I can't then upgrade. Stuck.
3 years ago I had help from an Adobe telephone service, and managed to do this. Now that support has ended (shameful!) and I am going around in circles.
I am vehemently opposed to going to the Photoshop CC/subscription route - like most folk - and a new purchase of CS6 is a shedload of money for a retired professional such as myslef.
So any assistance@ would be much appreciated!
    Thanks.

    Hi
    Thanks, that was quick!
Unfortunately, my PS4 was the only full version I ever purchased. I have upgrades only to take me to PS7, CS, CS3 and then CS5.
    Am I stuffed?

  • Dual Boot Win XP Pro 32-bit & Win Vitsa Ultimate 64-bit on same Hard Drive?

I have a Mac Pro with four HD's. One HD is running 10.5.4 and the another HD is running 10.4.11. The third HD is for Mac data storage. My fourth HD is for Windows. This fourth HD is currently running Windows XP Pro 32-bit edition (the entire drive is a single partition formatted as NTFS). Can I install Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition onto this same partition? I would like to be able to use boot camp to start into either Windows XP 32-bit or Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit. I suspect that boot camp can get me as far as the Windows bootloader and then I would need to select which Windows OS to load ino???
Has anyone actually successfully performed such a dual Windows OS installation using boot camp? This boot camp installation is also available with my Parallels installation. I am concerned that changing anything with break my ability to boot into Tiger (which I can right now) or my ability to load my XP pro system using Parallels.
Obviously my reason for wanting a 64-bit Windows system is to support more memory (2GB max limit that is well documented for Windows installs using the Apple Boot Camp BIOS emulator).
    Thanks,
    Thomas

Then you should be able to drop Vista on there...just a thought.
Hmm I have to say, that's what I was trying to do with my single Xp installation:
-Create a slot for it (partitionned FAT32)
-Then "drop" (install) Xp using the normal Xp installer
The whole process without using boot camp.
It looks like your case, your Xp installation being my OS X, your Vista being my Xp.
But it really didn't work at all. When choosing a partition to install Xp on, I just don't see my FAT32 space. Instead I see the whole drive as an unknown partition (mac partition are unknown to Win).
So really Boot Camp does something else other than just partitionning, partitionning like I would do it with Disk Utility (which I did).
    Any idea?

  • VISA file write works on 32 bit WIN 7 but not 64 bit

I've got an application that has worked for years on several XP machines. It works on WIN 7 32 bit as well. It does NOT work on WIN 7 64 bit.
I download a file as a binary, break it into 4096 bit packets and send each packet via VISA write to a UUT. I've tried setting the program to run in XP mode, run as administrator. I suspect it's the VISA drivers, and I've downloaded and installed NI-DAQ 9.8 but I'm not having any luck
