Cs2 premium - Middle Eastern version- InDesign and reverse hebrew - windows vista

i have cs2 and after installing the package, i have a very strange problem
in indesign, when i want to write text in hebrew, i get the word reversed, so for example(in english now) if i write in hebrew: moshe, i get ehsom (reversed word)
the example is in english, but the english is fine. i did it in english so you will understand what i get in hebrew.
CS2 is installed on windows Vista
also i installed illustrator(part of the CS2 package) and there, there is no problem at all!.
the hebrew works great.
no reversed words.
i dont know what to do and how to solve this problem.
i tried to uninstall CS2, and then reinstalling it again, but the problem stays.
how can i fix this problem?
thanks for your help!

i dont have an option to chose between RTL or LTR languages.
That's the whole point of the ME editions
I stole this screenshot from Winsoft's site:
So, at least in CS3, that's where the paragraph-direction button is; it's on the Paragraph palette, which you can find in CS2 by going to Window -> Type -> Paragraph (if you don't know exactly where it is already). I think it's in the same place in CS2 but it's been a looooooong time since I've looked at CS2ME.

  • Adobe InDesign CS4 ME (Middle Eastern Version) AND fonts

    hello,
does someone know, which Fonts are in "Adobe Indesign CS4 ME (middle eastern version)"  out-of-the-box (without Tasmeem!)?
We have real trouble to find out in advance, what kind of fonts are included or supported (or not).
    thank you.
    knuth

I'm not 100% sure on this answer, but this should at least be helpful:
The fonts in the InDesign fonts folder in CS4 are:
    AlQudsWide_Bold.otf
    Hasan_Hiba_Alef.otf
    EMIRI.otf
    Basim_Marah_Beh.otf
    Nassim-Semibold.otf
    Arabetics_Mehdi.otf
    Nassim-Bold.otf
    AlQudsWide_Regular.otf
    Nassim-Medium.otf
    DT_Qarandash_Beh.otf
    NASKRG.otf
    Nassim-Regular.otf
    Hasan_Noor_Alef.otf
    Nassim-Heavy.otf
There are others in the Adobe general fonts folder (most notably the extended family of Boutros Ads Pro), but I don't know if this was installed by CS4 or a previous version of InDesign. Here's a screenshot of the Arabic fonts currently installed on my system (none of them were purchased, and probably mostly installed by one of the Creative Suites).

  • My InDesign is Middle Eastern... and shouldn't be

Hello, all. I purchased Design & Web Premium CS6 (note well: the suite, not Creative Cloud) on Dec 31 and used most of the other apps, but have been working mostly in InDesign only in the last few weeks. So I was late noticing something weird: I have the Middle Eastern version installed. I'm licensed for English, but somehow that's what I've got. I don't know if it affects other apps, but with InDesign, it messes up a lot of stuff (documents are set for right side binding by default, text flow is wrong direction etc).
I should add that I downloaded via the FTP link from Adobe, rather than with the Download Manager, which I never was able to get to work for me (it would get to the end of the download and fail—tried oodles of times).
I have been given to understand though that it's the same download, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Is there any way to force my InDesign to serve me the USA English version?
I've tried Adobe chat support for help with this, but didn't receive much help (he wanted me to call InDesign product support, but my 90 days are well past).

When I installed my Adobe Design and Web Premium CS6 several months ago, I followed levleo's advise and managed to turn it into the ME version through Adobe Applications manager. Now I have a new machine with Windows 8 to which I am transferring my software. However, I can no longer apply the same instructions for the change of language to turn it into the ME version like last time. The Adobe Application manager does not work for me when I click on its icon, though I can access a smaller version of it through the update link of a program. However, there are no language change prefs there.
Can anyone tell me what has changed or am I missing something. Please help.

  • Request for feature of Next Version of Indesign Middle Eastern Version

    For Adobe Team,
Request for Feature of Next Version of Indesign Middle Eastern Version
About Character and Paragraph Style Sheet in Next Version of Adobe Indesign Middle Eastern Version
Make an option for Latin Font style and Unicode/arabic font style.
We have work in both language English and Arabic or Urdu with same document or same paragraph.
For Guidence see this image of InPage Urdu Programme.
    Thanks
    Safwan

Ooh, InPage! I'm so glad that I don't have to work in InPage anymore.
However, that feature that you're looking for was actually a good one. It won't do you any good to ask for it here, though; you want to go straight to WinSoft. They make the ME edition, not Adobe.
However: World Tools suite from in-tools.com has the feature "Apply Latin Character Style" which does what you want, more or less. The main paragraph style would be an Urdu RTL style, unlike your InPage example. Unfortunately, going in "the other direction" World Tools only has "apply Hebrew character style." It's still worth a look for you, I think.

  • How can I download the extended Middle Eastern version of inDesign, called "Tasmeem"?

    Hello everyone,
I would love it if someone tells me how can I download the extended ME version of inDesign, it is called "Tasmeem" and it is made for Arabic Calligraphy.
    thank you,
    Rayan.

Peter, Tasmeem is not just the regular ME edition of InDesign. I think
it is an InDesign extension published by Winsoft, the French company who
originally developed the Middle Eastern version of InDesign before Adobe
    took it over.
So the OP should probably check out the Winsoft website to see if it's
still available, and for which versions of InDesign.

  • InDesign CS6 Middle Eastern Version an 32 bit

    1. I want to purchase InDesign CS6 Middle Eastern Version, but I cannot find this version on the Adobe Web site under the "Buy" tab. Where can I purchase it?
2.Does InDesign CS6 run under Windows 7 32 bit or I need to install the Windows 64 bit version?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I think you can find it if you switch to one of the online Adobe stores in the Middle East region, and yes, it will run on 32-bit.

  • Middle Eastern Version CS6

    Hi all,
I'm in the process of upgrading my Photoshop CS5 (yeh, i know...) to CS6. I need the Middle Eastern version because some of my designs include Hebrew. My Q is: at this point Adobe lets me choose Arabic-English BUT no Hebrew!! - Is that the same thing since both languages are written RTL? or do I need to search for an only Hebrew version?
    Cheers'
    Vered

In the CC you can add any language without additional cost and change the platform any time you want.
You have to install the CC.app, in the gear symbol of the program window you find the preferences. In the preferences you can choose your language. You can install first in one language, then in another one. Later, in some applications like Photoshop, Bridge, Acrobat. Lightroom and others, you can choose your language of the app in preferences > UI, other programs like InDesign or Illustrator choose the language based on the OS language, but if other languages offer additional funcitionality like ME support, it is also available in any other language. E.g. I have here German OS, but I have installed Arabic and Hebrew versions (I don't speak these languages, but I get sometimes text to bring in from these language and so I need these functions) and get this functionality. Some function are not translated, probably exists no German expression for it.

  • Middle Eastern versions

Hallo people from Adobe or whoever can help us in this matter.
Previously, Middle Eastern versions were supported by third-party companies (WinSoft).
In CS6, Adobe has taken over development, support, and sales of such versions.
However they have not been released yet (at least not all of them). Although the underlying support for RtL languages (right to left languages including Hebrew and Arabic) is in all CS6 language versions of InDesign (World-Ready Composition) but unless you have the ME version, it is not directly accessible.
At least I can confirm that  Adobe InDesign CS6 ME and Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 ME are released.
You can download the trial version of them from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/mena_ar/downloads.html
    My Questions:
What about Adobe Illustrator CS6 ME?
Will Adobe build the RTL support also in other Adobe products such as Premiere or After Effeckt?
    Thanks

    Hi Guy,
I know there have been improvements related to middle eastern support of text with this release, per the system requirements for all three of the products you mentioned.
    * Arabic and Hebrew supported in a Middle Eastern version with full right-to-left language support, Arab/Hebrew features, and an English interface; also in a North African French (Francais*) version with full right-to-left language support, Arab/Hebrew features, and a French interface
I don't believe Creative Cloud Membership is available in Israel unfortunately, in the FAQ see this question
In what countries can I buy a membership to Creative Cloud?
    Hope that helps,

  • Please - Muse, Middle Eastern version, Hebrew site design.

I've been trying everywhere to get the answer to this question, alas, with no luck. The (very) simple question is this:
Can I, or can I not, design with Muse a website that is all in Hebrew? Is there already a Middle Eastern version of Muse that supports Hebrew, similar to the InDesign version that I so love and cherish? Please? Anybody?

  • Do we have a Middle Eastern version?

I wanna buy Creative Cloud but I don't know if I can use Persian and Arabic font on it. I had Middle Eastern version of CS2, do we have the same thing with new Photoshop?

    Hi Farzan,
You have access to Middle Eastern Languages in Photoshop Creative Cloud.
Please refer to link below how to activate it once you have purchased it.

Photoshop CS6 does support Arabic (and Hebrew).
It's the same in the final release as it was in the beta.

  • How to download middle eastern version of dreamweaver CS5.5

    Hi everybody,
I have purchased a licensed Dreamweaver CS5.5 Middle Eastern version along with the CD. Now, I have lost the CD but I still have my license serial number for the activation. I searched in your website but I only found the standard version (Not Middle Eastern version).
    how can I download it?
(Some times the Middle Eastern version is referred to ME.)
in case there is no way to downlod it, will I be able to activate the standard vesion with my ME key?

Amaf_dubai I am sorry I am not aware of any public links for download of the Middle Eastern version of Creative Suite 5.5.  If you purchased the software from Adobe directly, and you choose the download option at the time of purchase, then the installation files will be available under your account at http://www.adobe.com/.  You can find more details at Find a download link on Adobe.com.

I have regular versions installed but if I go to reinstall them I dont see ME vesrions.
    Please Help!
p.s. I'm in Canada and I really hope those versions are not available only in Middle East!

Kanda the process of changing the input language is going to be different for each application.  I would encourage you to post to the forum applicable to that software title.
I would recommend posting in the following forums:
    Photoshop General Discussion - http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop
    Illustrator - http://forums.adobe.com/community/illustrator
You may also want to search in each of those forums before creating a new inquiry as this topic has likely been raised by someone else previously.
