CS2 , Several Filter groups no longer work, freeze program when starting them

I have a
b MAC OS 10.4.11
and when i am applying filters on a
i 8 bit image rastered
I get an audio error beep with no message. Photoshop then freezes.
The following files have been trashed before installing CS2 again:
> CS2 application folder;
> Preferences: Paths & Settings
> Com.adobe.photoshop.Plist
I have
b loaded the Mac OS
over again, but am avoiding formating the hard drive and loading all programs again.
What am I missing,

Actually there seems to be no problem now. My issue with the docking bar was one associated with having two monitors and one of them turned off (thank you to the person above who mentioned that). The reset of the preferences set my cinema screen to the left of the flat screen, opposite of my set up. Monitor preference adjustment corrected that.
One day when I get out of poverty, I will fill out the memory. But I have to say that I have had no problems so far with working with files vary large, up to 30mb, 40mb with lots of layers also.
Gotta say, Mac new OS is the smoothest most content operating systems I have ever used. So much so that I forget some of the technical system stuff over time from rarely having to use them.

As expected, cdm-git also works fine since DMs only work in the root mode as of now.
Just for the record, both type commands output "/usr/bin/startx" and pacman -Q gives "systemd 215-4".

Filter list no longer works correctly in 4.6

I have been using the classic filter function for array collections since 4.0. With the recent 4.6 update my filter no longer works correctly.
Example of classic realtime filter:

While the filter works and updates the list just like it used to, the underlying arraycollection doesn't get updated.
For example:
Pretend I have the following AC

So its like there are two lists.
1. filteredlist (auto generated)
2. list with mydata before filter.
The IndexChangeEvent is giving me the selectedindex of the filtered list (item 0) but resolving item 0 with the unfiltered list and the data does not match up.
Now I can no longer get the correct name of the list after applying the fiilter.
Is this a bug that was introduced in Flex 4.6?

galleherjazz, a little research would tell you a lot. Palm sold the rights to Palm Desktop years ago to a company called "Access" from Japan. It was their responsibility to come up with a version of Palm Desktop that works with Vista. They produced one version, then updated it to 6.2.2 to fix some bugs. After that, they abandoned the project! Palm Inc. moved on to a wholly new operating system (webOS).
"Palm programmers" had nothing to do with the decisions made. Access' version came with no color categorization. Pleas for improvements and bug fixes have fallen on deaf ears.
Palm Inc. appears to have no interest in supporting Windows 7 with their legacy (read: discontinued) devices. Any hope for 64-bit USB compatibility appears to be gone.

IOS6.0 iPhone 4s Groups no longer work?

I just updated my iPhone 4S with iOS6.0 and now the groups function in contacts no longer works? ie I can no longer select a group to only see those contacts in that group. Please fix this asap as I use this function a lot. I have checked on my mac and it's fine there and in iCloud its fine also.
Seems it was just a case of stupid user syndrome by me! The interface has changed so that when you enter the groups list each list has a tick next to it, and if you uncheck all the groups except the one you want then hit done that list comes up. With the old method you simply tapped the group and the list was displayed. Not sure why this was changed but simple enough now I worked it out.

That doesn't work for me. All I can do is either tick the group, or untick it. I cannot access any group's contact list, and I have tried and tried. If I un-tick all the groups but the one whose members I want to see, and then touch the one grouop that's still ticked, all that happens is that the remaining group gets UN-ticked.
I wonder if this has to do with how the groups were created; mine were originally created using an obsolete app called Contact Grouper, which worked through iOS 5.xxx, and no longer is functional. It seems that on the iPhone I have no ability to access a contact group, without finding a new workaround.

Several keyboard shortcuts no longer works

I went from an iBook G4 with MacOS 10.3.9 and Final Cut Express 2.something.
I now use a curent MacBook Pro with macOS 10.6.2, Final Cut Express 4.0.1 and all the latest updates and patches.
Several keyboard shortcuts that should be there are not working. The Mark IN "i", the Clear In and Out, and maybe others as well are not responding, I have to go in the menu with the mouse which is a pain and a waste of time!
Other keyboard shortcuts are working, like the space bar, the arrow keys, the Snapping control "n" and the Mark Out "o". Go figure!
Anyone experienced this?

To my knowledge Leopard has (or had ?) a bug that prevents FCE and FCP keyboard shortcuts to work correctly with non-US keyboards. Since I still run 10.5.x I cannot say if this is a problem with Snow Leopard, but in my experience some version of 10.5.x fixed it for Italian keyboards.
In any case the following workaround worked with me, when I had this problem.
You might try it and see if it works with you too:
- Open the International panel of System Preferences
- click the Language tab
- drag "English" to the top of the list (on top of the current language)
- drag back the current language to the top of the list
- close System Preferences
- (close if necessary and) open FCE or FCP: shortcuts should be fixed.
This seems to work till the next system startup; then you have to repeat this procedure...

Widgets no longer work, how can I get them back?

My favorite Widgets no longer work in OS 10.8.2. I miss them. I have repaired Permissions twice and restarted computer twice, but no joy. I have downloaded them again, but no luck I want Stocks, Wunderground Weather ESPN and Radar in Motion.

Problem SOLVED!! Ran Repair Permissions and restarted the computer twice, Widgets back and functioning.

N96 freezes/stuck when starting up and screen prob...

Hi, I am new and i would like to know why my N96 stucks at a blank white screen when starting up, is this what they call the "White screen of death"? I currently uses firmware version 12.043. Sometimes when I remove my microSD card and then turn on my cellphone, it starts up normally, is there something wrong with my microSD card? or is it my N96? If so, is there a way to fix this problem? Also, sometimes when I leave my phone on standby mode and it's backlight turns off, i can't turn the backlight back on or even turn off my cellphone, I tried turning off the lockguard, but it gets stucks with backlight off and only showing the battery status, and the time, is there something wrong with my cellphone? Any solution? Thank you in advance!

If the phone refuses to start correctly when the microSD card is inserted but starts up normally when you remove the microSD card, then it certainly looks like the microSD card has a problem.
It could simply be data corruption, in which case reformatting the memory card (in the phone!) should put things right. This might also have something to do with the other freeze-ups you mention.
If formatting the card doesn't solve the problem then leave it out of the phone for a while and see if the phone carries on misbehaving. If there are no further problems with the memory card removed altogether then it's a fairly safe bet that the card is faulty.

Safari No Longer Working, Freezes, Won't Load Pages, Can't Find Server

I recently encountered a problem with Safari. I upgraded to version 3.1 last week, and since then Safari has been hanging some. I upgraded to Safari version 3.1.1 last night, hoping this would help. Now things are worse.
Safari is essentially unusable. It freezes when I first open it. My home page is apple.com, and it won't ever load this page. If I click to open another page, it will work rarely. If I click to open the same page several times, it will load but very slowly.
I have a Windows machine on the same router and it works fine. It's a hard wired router, not wireless. I am using the Ethernet port. I haven't added any new software or plug-ins in the last week. I also tried to download Firefox and it wouldn't work either. So it seems to be something on that computer.
Any idea what it could be. Every other programs seems to work fine. I like Safari and want to continue using it. Please help.

Lets try a couple of things (in sequence, try the next if the one before does not help):
Run repair disk from your software install DVD
Run permission repair from your internal HD
Clear the safari cache, trash the preference file (com.apple.safari.plist) and restart.
If none of that helps, it is probably time for an archive and install:

An archive and install will install a fresh copy of OS X while preserving your files, programs, and settings. As always, a good backup before software changes is recommended.

Since firefox upgraded to to 3.6 version, google video chat no longer works - freezes and sound is distorted.

The sound now on google video chat is distorted and I freeze - very annoying as use it every day and used to work perfectly....no answers from browsing your supposed help section.

You need update your Firefox up version 3.6.6 and if your problem till occur you can try disable all add-on.
If this erros still I think you need re-install Firefox with lasted version. Good Luck !!!

Cannot download updates, and I can no longer work with RAW files without them. Help!

I used to be able to get Bridge to read RAW files, but I cannot any longer. I think I need an updated plug-in, but when I try to go to help-updates and download them, the message I get for all three (Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.5 update, Photoshop 12.0.4 update for Photoshop CS5, and Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update) is this: "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." I have tried shutting down and restarting the computer a few times over the course of several days, and have even tried updating my mac software. I always get the same message. Please help! Thank you!!

Ok, Adobe. I'm having a huge problem with your customer service here. You list no email or phone to contact you, yet I have spent hundreds of dollars on a product I can't use unless I can get an answer to this question, which appears to be a problem with your system. Why are hyperlinks no longer working in PDF, when converted from Word?

I have Acrobat Professional 11 and have recently upgraded my PC with a new operating system (Windows 8). I can't remember how to find out what version of Word I now have, but it should be a fairly recent version, given its new. Since the upgrade, when converting Word documents to PDF using the "Create Form" function in Adobe Pro 11, only full hyperlinks (with the @ symbol) are working in PDF, not other hyperlinks that we've renamed. Under the old operating system, ALL hyperlinks used to transfer & work when converted ... am I missing a checkbox somewhere?? HELP please, I have loads of word documents to convert and it's very time-consuming to have to do weblinks manually!!

First off, Word should show you the version on a splash screen when you launch it.
Also, what happens to the links if you just open the document in Word and save it as a PDF?

My Droid DNA's home, back, and app buttons no longer work or react when pressed. This happened randomly when I was using the phone Saturday afternoon and have since no longer worked. Can anything be done?

This is the second major problem I have had with this phone (first was the SIM card issue where I had no service because the software of the phone wouldn't read the SIM card, has been fixed by an update I downloaded in December).
I really would like to know what my options are, and if I am eligible to get a new phone. This has been by far the worst phone I have ever experienced and am disappointed that I am forced into a two year contract with a phone that has consistently failed me. I am a college kid who is going through job/phone interviews and it is very important that I can rely on my personal phone.

If the home and back buttons are not working it has to be difficult to use the phone. Let's get that device working. Back up your phone and complete a reset: http://vz.to/1uBz20R . Before installing any applications test out the phone for a day to ensure it is working properly. Let us know how it is working.

My up and down arrows as well as page up and page down no longer work properly only when using firefox. Page up and down function more like the "home" and "end" keys as do the arrow keys.

Honestly I'm not sure if these began just after I updated FF to the current release, but it's been happening for at least 2 weeks. The arrow keys and page up and page down keys all work as if I'm pressing the 'home' and 'end' keys on my keyboard. This is only when using FF. Please contact me if you need more clarification. Remote Control OK button no longer works for program information

We used to have a home media DVR and when watching a show I could hit the OK button to see it's information at the bottom. We just switched to a HD DVR instead of the Home Media DVR since we don't need it any longer. I was able to set it up w/out any issues, but now when I hit OK nothing happens. I played in the settings menu, but didnt see anything regarding this. Does anyone know how to set this up?

Thanks for the advice but I've tried resetting network settings and also the reset by pressing home and sleep buttons until getting the Apple logo. Still have the same problem. To be clear (because I mistakenly typed black instead of blank in the title to this thread): If I press the phone button I get a BLANK WHITE screen for a few seconds then it goes back to the home screen. I doubt it's the SIM card as I can receive calls and make them directly from contacts. What I can't do is view my favourite numbers or missed calls or access my voicemail, i.e. all the things you get to via pressing the phone button.
