CS2 upgrading to CS5.5 design preimum & Resources to learn the new program

Question

I Have CS2 upgrading to CS5.5 design preimum.
I have a Mac Version 10.5.8 laptop
Hardware Overview:

  Processor Name:    Intel Core 2 Duo
  Processor Speed:    2.66 GHz

is that good enough?
Also I'm stepping up from CS2 to CS5.5 will all my files open from CS2? Such as Photoshop, Indesign, and illistratior files? This is really Important.
I know when it comes to InDesign older versions aren't so good at upgrading, all files have to be made open in a new one.
Also I'll need to learn the new programs how different are they? Like are the basics the same?
Any videos on line to help any of these issues?
