CS3 Activation - no Connection

Whenever I try to retry activating over the internet the same window keeps reloading.

    Due to the crash of the PC, I have to install the license of Photoshop CS3 on to a different computer. Unfortunately, the on-ine activation seems not to be more available. I have a valid license and I need to use my CS3. How can this trouble be fixed ?

    OK. same problem here.
    - Installation of CS3 premium without problems. (one license is available and this is my legal private version)
    - key accepted without problems
    - all programms (of CS3) are running very well on my new computer without problems (but only as testversions)
    But activation is not possible
    Message: Activation - no connection 
    (in German: Aktivierung - keine Verbindung)
    I'm confused.
    The internet connection is stabile.
    I can login at all adobe sites without problems.
    What I tried before asking here:
    I searched here in forum and in the web.
    I did follow this instruction:
    Contact Customer Care  (only possible while logged in)
    and
    Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CS5.5 and later
    (I didn't found direct advices for CS3)
    All is ok
    - connect to the internet
    - access to secure sites is possible
    - hosts file is ok
    - certificate is ok.
    But:
    grateful for helpful advices (custumer support is only available from Mo till Fr 9 to 17 clock and activation by phone is not longer supported)

    yesterday I opened a chat in the english chatoom. The first supporter was very friendly the whole time.
    A short time later the chat was transfered by the first supporter to the technical support chat. The second supporter was very friendly at the beginning while "to verify your account and to review the details of your request". Friendly at the middle of the chat - till the offerte "to start sharing the screen" with Adobe connect. Because I have a new computer, this try failed (no Flash player was installed). I asked the supporter how  I can reopen the chat after installing the Flash player ( I thougt this will be need to restart the computer.) But the answer was: " No problem, chat screen will remain there."
    And such is life - without an restart Flash player doesn't functionate correctly - no possibility to do something with Adobe connect. And now - a friendly expulsion:
    Here is the last part of the chat (I only changed the names to Supporter, Me and Questioner)

    After the chat I installed my standalone version of InDesign CS5. No problems to activating this programm.
    One more try to activate the CS3 - no connection.
    Finally I copied the hosts.file from my old computer to the new one and tried to activate again - no connection. I was frustrated!
    I do not have the windows closed and not shut down the computer. I just went to sleep.
    Today in the morning: the failure message was still open in Photoshop CS3 - I clicked on try again to activate - and one minute later -------> Activation succesful
    Without any new changes on my system. This sounds like magic.
    Summary:
    CS3-programms runs on a Windows 8 computer without problems.
    But the activation is a matter of luck!

  • Dreamweaver CS3 Activation Issue

    I have tried Phone and Online support to no avail. I have a copy of Dreamweaver CS3. I just got a new PC and need to move everything over to the new machine. Both are Windows 7 PC's.
    On the New PC, when I install everything it is not able to authenticate via the Internet for some reason. So, when I contacted support for the Authorization Code the two he gave me came up invalid and he told me to post my problem here that he could not help me any further.

  • No Tables in DW CS3 Remote MySQL Connection

    Hello All,
    I was hoping forum members would be able to troubleshoot a
    Dreamweaver CS3/remote MySQL Connection issue I'm having.
    I am successful in connecting to the database but the table
    data I created in phpMyAdmin 2.6.3 does not appear in the
    Application/Databases menu in DW. Instead of the name of the table,
    I get "none".
    Since I am new to databases, any help is greatly appreciated.
    I did view older posts before submitting this one but the advice
    recommended (re-installing the entire MySQL application from
    scratch) is not an option. Server is SunOS running PHP 4.4.7 and
    MySQL 2.0.20. I'm on Windows XP. Thanks once again.

    I have the same problem now. DW was working fine the one day and the next when I started it it had this connection problem.
    I am testing on my local PC. My sites is at http://localhost/
    All my connection are working because if I go to http://localhost/index.php I can see my site and if I go to http://localhost/register.php I can even register a new user. It will include the new user details in the data base and everything is working fine. So there is nothing wrong with the connection.
    In DW I do have http://localhost/ on the Local Info screen. As I said, all was working fine on the current setup the one day and the next day it did not want to work.
    Seems like a very common problem.
    I want to buy CS4 and surely hope that the problem has been fixed by now.

    <strong>Problem</strong>
    - Number of active JMS connections and current JMS messages increases until the Weblogic instances crash with an OutOfMemory exception
    <strong>Setup</strong>
    - Weblogic v9.2.3, Cluster with 4 Nodes
    - A JMS Message is sent from a MDB in Weblogic to a distributed queue which has a member on each of the 4 Weblogic nodes. The session is created as follows session = connection.createSession(false,Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE), the message delivery mode is set programmatically to persistent and the delivery mode override of the queue setup is set to persistent too
    - Standalone JMS client processes: each one is attached to <strong>all</strong> 4 nodes. Each one uses a unique JMS message selector so that we have more than one queue consumer for one queue but every message is exactly dedicated to one queue consumer. We us weblogic.jar for the clients.
    - Use of Weblogic auto reconnect feature. JMS client code:
    Connection connection = this.connectionFactory.createQueueConnection();
    final WLConnection wlconnection = (WLConnection)connection;
    wlconnection.setReconnectPolicy(JMSConstants.RECONNECT_POLICY_ALL);

    - There are no pending JMS messages which is good
    - In our setup, each JMS client is connected to all 4 nodes as the messages are not distributed to all nodes: if a message is put to Queue A but the client is only connected to Queue B, the message is NOT transfered from Queue A to Queue B. We set the parameter "Forward Delay" to 5 seconds with no effects. Is this the normal behavior?
    - Not all JMS clients are visible in the Weblogic console under JMS Services -&gt; JMS Servers -&gt; [Server] -&gt; Monitoring -&gt; Active Connections. Which one are visible? Which one are not visible? There are also clients where the number of connections is not zero but stays constant; we know that as several independent clients on different hosts are started and the IP adress is visible in the Weblogic console. Why....?
    - What reasons can lead to increasing connections? Is this due to client or server problems? Do we have to acknowledge the message in the onMessage(Message) method of the client JMS consumer? So far as I know, we don't have to.
    - Are the increasing number of current messages due to the increasing number of JMS connections?
    - May the RECONNECT_POLICY_ALL policy produce this problem?
    Any hint is appreciated.

    To answer the question about the forwarding of messages from one queue to another myself: As mentioned at http://forums.bea.com/thread.jspa?threadID=400000611, the forwarding for queues does only work if all queue consumers are attached to the same queue. This means that our setup is OK.
    But the main question is still unanswered: why do the number of active JMS connections increase? I forgot to mention that
    - all messages arrive at the clients and that no exceptions are visible in the log
    - if you kill the client, the connections are still visible in the Weblogic console!?
    Please help as this problem is very urgent.

  • ADF 11.1.1.2 Application Timeout with Active DB Connection

    Hi all,
    just a query really; are we able to set a timeout for an ADF application that has an application module and an active database connection for an extended period of time, such as 10 hours?
    We have previously changed the value in the applications web.xml file to the correct value (600) but when we come to test the app after waiting about 5-6 hours, the application whirls away and throws an error:
    JBO-30019: An unavailable cookie state is detected while attempting to use a cookie from the application SJFG..., session 109imtacg62_...
    Is there another setting we have to apply to Weblogic to increase the cookie state timeout?

    I had the same problem and solved it by checking the Secure Admin Enabled check box and writing the full computer name (domain included) in the Configuration tab of the Server Connection Properties dialog in JDeveloper.

It works fine but it shows me a windows with the list of active essbase connections and I have to select each essbase connection and click disconnect.     When trying to use my banking apps I get the error "Network Required  This application requires an active Internet Connection.  Please try again".  This happens with two different apps from two different banks.  One of them works occasionally and have not figured out why.  I have cell signal and I am on a strong WiFi network.  Same thing happens when I turn off the WiFi too.    I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the app with no improvement.   I can't seem to find any setting that would cause this.   Does anyone have any suggestions?  

    I can access the internet just fine in the browser and i can use any other app i have.

    Hello Dear assistant,
    Since yesterday morning I have been facing with an activation issue. I have been using the same Master Collection CS 5.5 for more than 1 year now and yesterday I had an error that I have never saw before.
    "!We are unable to activate CS5.5 Master Collection Subscription Edition
    Product activation is required to use this product
    You must have a working internet connection to activate this product. Please check your connection settings and choose try Again!"
    I have checked my hosts file under the system and it is clean. I am also able to connect to all adobe servers. So I can assure you that my connection settings are perfectly working.
    When I install Master Collection CS 5.5 it is only working with Photoshop now. However, if I attempt to open any other one like Illustrator, the activation screen coming up.
    Yesterday, I had a conversation with Customer Service here in Chat again. They have mentioned about using multiple accounts might cause this problem. They have canceled one of the accounts and said this issue will be solved within 24hr. So it is almost 24hr and the second day of my working business that I cannot use the prior software to run my business.
    Can you please check out the same issue repeated on someone else's case. So you guys can save time to help me.

    Hi, My boss got a new computer and I'm trying to set up Contribute CS3 on it and I can't get it to connect to the server. It keeps saying the server isn't available or is down, but that's not the case. I have CS4 on my computer and I can connect. He's connected to the server in every other program he uses. Adobe doesn't support CS3 anymore, so if anyone has any ideas on what I should do to troubleshoot this, please let me know.
