CS3 crashes & CS4: CAN I TRASH Snow L and reinstall Leopard.
I never had problems with Leopard. I bought the hype on Snow Leopard and now I'm sick. PS and Illustrator crash all the time, whether going to print or just because it wants to. How can I reinstall Leopard and get rid of Snow Leopard?

Backup any/all of your data that's important. Insert the Leopard Installer Disk. Restart and hold down the 'C' key. Format and Install. Get it fully up to date running SU before doing anything else. When done install all relevant 3rd-Party software. Get these fully up to date and when done reinstate backed up data.

I had a very similar problem, error 4251. (look in your log you will see that error) Since I finally fixed my problem, I thought I would see if I can help someone else.
What I found is that I lost burn ability in both iTunes AND Windows. Like you did. I did some digging and found that this wasn't hardware related at all. In fact, this boils down to a registry key getting messed up. (sigh) Yeah. It causes the system to get a bad 'handle'.
OK, here's what to try. Go to this Microsoft KB article. Scroll down and find the *manual* instructions for Vista. Delete the registry key that it specifies. Reboot. Now verify that you can burn in Windows. (If you have a RW disc, do a disc erase, or just try and burn from Windows Media Player.) If that is working now, you're on the right track.
Now the issue is that iTunes will still be broken. Go and install the latest Gear driver. (I know you may have done it, but do it again.) Now follow the intructions in this Apple KB article to verify the "GEARAspiWDM" info is back there in the registry. Now reboot. Try and burn in iTunes.

I have windows 7 64 bit but the new itunes will not install because it can't find itunes64.msi. I have searched evertwhere on my pc. In addition, I can't uninstall the itunes and reinstall for the same reason. I can't upgrade for my icloud account.
Try the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch -

Assuming you installed Windows in a Boot Camp partition, start up Boot Camp Assistant and select the menu item to remove Windows and return the drive to a single partition. Then run Boot Camp Assistant and select the menu item to install Windows 7.

There is no "uninstall." If you have a backup (hopefully you do) made before you moved to OS X 10.6, restore that.

I can see the Safari icon on my iPhone screen, but the program doesn't run. I have checked the settings and it is on and not restricted. It seems that the application has simply stopped running. The little "searching" icon just spins and spins. Can I delete the application and reinstall it?

CS3 crashes when opening or placing a file with Mac Leopard
I recently installed CS3 Design Premium to my iMac (OS = Leopard). I did the updates as well after installation.
I can start up Photoshop (Extended), and open up files from Bridge application but not from Photoshop itself. When I try to open a file, it crashes. I checked the forum, and find out one more instance like this (it was due to incomplete Version Cue installation). However, I followed up the technical doc but it still happens the same. I actually disabled Version Cue at the preferences but still no luck.
Any help, suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

AsliI've not seen Word crash when selecting a smart folder - but it doesn't 'see' what's inside either. In other words when I select a smart folder in the file selector it appears to be an empty folder. And this isn't just a Word thing - lots of programs behave this way.
I use smart folders from the desktop. I have a folder in my Dock which contains all my smart folders. I open a smart folder from there and then double-click the document I want to open. It is a work around obviously but it works -
Adobe After Effects CS3 crashes with Codecs such as Motion JPEG and Avid DnxHD

I'm having a problem with After Effects CS3 crashing with .mov files (exported from Adobe Premiere) with codecs such as Motion Jpeg A and Avid's DnxHD. Its driving me crazy.
If I import a Motion Jpeg A file, AE crashes immediately. If I import a DnxHD file that works fine with Premiere, it seems to import ok. However, when I try to play it in AE it comes up as a plain white... thing. If I move the slider across it previews one or two frames before AE crashes. Its driving me crazy.
AE works ok with H.164 and animation files.
I'm reinstalled quicktime and Avids codecs, uninstalled ffdshow, disabled Open GL and multiprocessing, changed between 10bit and 8bit (whatever that is all about) with the dnxhd and I'm really stumped. If I can get Dnxhd working I'm fine with that. I thought I'd mention the Motion Jpeg A codec to see if they're a result of the same problem.
I've also tried Avid's RGB packed Codec with the same results.
I'm running Windows Xp 32 bit with 3gbs of ram, a GeForce 8600 gt with a Intel Pentium Duo Core Processor 2.00 GHZ.
Can anyone help me please?I'm mistaken, Animation files don't work either!
I tried that with no luck. I even tried a few more Quicktime codecs with the same results.
Only H.164 and some png compressed .mov files seem to work. Very frustrating.
I'm surprised thats the case - I am defintley due for an upgrade. Even though this system seems to work ok, struggling a little bit with HD .mov files but yeah, I've been planning a new system for a while. -

Many apps don't support that method of uninstalling. See the quote below from OS X Yosemite: Install, update, and uninstall app

How can i deinstall iPhoto '09 and reinstall iPhoto '08
iPhoto '09 is a mess, it doesn't do what iPhoto '08 did for me with albums and info associated with those albums. I bought iPhoto Library Manager and now i've spent three days trying to get '09 to do what '08 did. What is the best way to get '09 out of my life and off my computer and reinstall '08. Advice? yes i actually have nothing in the library right now-it is all on disc as backup-i've wiped clean the library. My issue is importing and maintaining albums with their meta data. I teach art history and have thousands of albums for lectures with much data that i import/alter and then burn to carry to class computer. None of the albums and their data imports/exports into '09. I really don't need anything '09 has to offer and so far i've spent days just trying to do what i can do before. iPhoto library manager is complicated for my purposes and causes more problems than its worth. Can i just trash '09 and install '08 clean? or will it be forever tied to rest of iLife '09. Thanks for you advice!

Well you first download the latest version of iTunes, after installing it restart the computer once and then try opening it!

Dreamweaver CS4 - Can't see table cells and borders
Hello you all. I just started using CS4 and whenever there is a white background I can't see any of the table cell or main borders.
I went to View>Visual Aids>Table Borders and it is on, but I can't seem to find the area I need to change the color to view it on white.I just remember the previous versions would allow you to change the dotted line color that indicated the table and cell borders.
Must say I can't ever remember that being a preference in any previous version of DW.
Sadly, it looks like I will be using tables to set up my site. Haven't adopted CSS as much as I'd like at this point.
Now's as good a time as any to start with CSS from the ground up.
