CS3 Dreamweaver

My CS3 Dreamweaver won't load. I currently have CS2 & CS3
Version installed. I have to have 2 to use and I am trying to test
CS3, but I can't get CS3 to load dreamweaver. I'm sure it's an
issue with the two CS's on my machine, but I can't switch to three
until I test it with my system. AHhhhhh Please help.

> I'm sure it's an issue with the two CS's on my machine
I'm equally sure it's not. The box I am currently using has
three of them
installed MX2004, 8, CS3) (there was no CS2).
What happens when you try to start CS3?

  • How to download the older version CS3 dreamweaver into my new windows if there is no DVD drive

I took my older CS3 dreamweaver out of my old computer to put into new computer, windows 8.1, but this computer has not drive how to get it to this computer.

    Hi Ladyweed,
Your query has already been answered on the below thread

Thank you for posting on Adobe forums.

  • CS3 Dreamweaver will not launch.  Licensing has stopped working.

Unable to open my CS3 Dreamweaver and other CS3 products.  Keep getting a message indicating that "Licensing for this product has stopped working."  Help!

    Which operating system?
    Try
    Win: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-licensing-stopped-windows.html
    Mac: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-mac-os.html

  • CS3 Dreamweaver no longer works

I have installed lion (10.7) since the day it comes out, and have no problem on my MacBook Pro 17" Dual and had upgraded to 10.7.1 with no issue at all.  I just got a PowerMac 17" with i7 Quad, and when I migrate it to the new computer, everything works except CS3 Dreamweaver.  Whenever it starts end up with a empty box error.  Any idea what to do to get it back to work!  Moving to CS 5.5 is close to $1000.00.  My current budget just cannot handle it.

As I am using Lion, the installer will not work.
CS3 was an Intel app it should install.  CS2 was the last PowerPC app ( http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/faq.html#lion-os ).  And Resource cannot be found sounds more like an OS issue.  Have you tried just doing an uninstall with the Adobe Clean Tool ( http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html ) and then do a clean install of CS3 on the new machine.  Then bring over your settings manually without the Apple Assistant.  It's possible something is not being brought over properly and causing your issue.

  • CS3 Dreamweaver is asking me to register

I just bought creative cloud and when I open my CS3 dreamweaver it is asking me to register it. I clicked "register later."  Is this going to keep happening? Do i really have to re-register it? Will it stop working when i start using the dreamweaver that I download from the cloud?

    Hi Mike,
Registation isn't required to use the software like activation. Registration just confirms and records your ownership of a product in our system. If you own the copy of Dreamweaver CS3 you can still use it. The registration prompt shouldn't be related to you joining Creative Cloud. You can have both Dreamweaver CS3 and CS6 installed and usable on the same computer.

  • CS3 Dreamweaver FTP errors

    connection: CS3 Dreamweaver>MacPro(10.4.10)>Airport
    Extreme>SBCmodem>Yahoo Web hosting
Since upgrading to intel mac w/ CS3, I am constantly getting
FTP errors. All client accounts are set to passive. Usually it
takes 2 or 3 attempts to connect to server. On one client account
that is set up for Contribute, I get error messages at the end of
an 11.9MB podcast upload saying the file was skipped–so I end
up using fetch to upload the file.
Most of the accounts are legacy and never had a problem
    ftp'ing to server w/ G4 rig.

Here is the message I get when my upload completes. The
status bar goes to 100% so it appears that the upload is complete,
    but not to be.
    Started: 11/5/07 8:22 AM
    Operation timed out. Cancelling...
    podcasts:broadcast162.mp3 - error occurred
    Connected to ...
    podcasts:broadcast162.mp3 - skipped
File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not
    completed.
    Files skipped: 1
    Files with errors: 1
    podcasts:broadcast162.mp3
    Finished: 11/5/07 8:30 AM
If I then look at the remote directory, I see the following
file: "broadcast162.mp3.new" and the file size is correct, 11.9MB.
So then I resort to using Fetch to upload. Adobe, please fix
    Dreamweaver FTP!

I am trying to create a photo album on my website in dreamweaver and cannot...what are my easiest choices on building that ... CS3 program

  • Error when making tables in CS3 Dreamweaver

We are using Dreamweaver CS3, it has been working fine for years, just recently we have found we are unable to create tables, not only in new documents but also in old ones. We are getting the following message:
"while executing onLoad in TableCommands.htm, a JavaScript error occurred."
    Please help!!!
    Thanks Simon

The answer is in the Dreamweaver FAQ. See Deleting a corrupt cache file.

  • Has CS3 Dreamweaver caught a Vista bug

I switched on today and found that whenever I browse for a
file to insert a link in an existing file, Dreamweaver crashed. The
same happens when I tried to fill a dynamic list/menu from a
    database file.
It applies to all sites on my system, so I cannot do much
    with any of them.
    http://www.adobe.com/go/kb400788
decribes this fault exactly, but states that it is a Vista issue,
and has been fixed in CS3.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, have they found
    a work around?
    Howard WAlker

No - it has not. Deleted the configuration file and
re-started the progarm and all is well. Sorry to have troubled
    anyone.

  • CS3/Dreamweaver 9 won't load

I've had the CS3 version of Dreamweaver on my computer for a while now, but all of a sudden the program won't load when I click the icon to start it. I'll get the hourglass for a second and then nothing, just a regular mouse pointer.
I used the disc to reinstall it and fix any errors, but the same thing happens.
Looking at the FAQ I've deleted a corrupted cache file and the only file that could be causing the 8KB bug is the 32KB HTML "Configuration Read Me" file.
So the question is -- what can I do to get Dreamweaver to work again? Do I delete the read me since it's the only file that could be causing the 8KB bug or do I do something else?
The system info: Windows XP-Service Pack 2, all the updates are current, firewall/virus scan is Kaspersky 8.0 (Dreamweaver and other Adobe products have full access/all permissions), 1GB RAM.
    Thank you.

    Hi Jessica,
Can you check the Help menu and sign in information?
If your Adobe id is shown there, then please try below steps once
    1. Sign out from DW (Using Help menu > sign out)
    2. Quit Dreamweaver
    3. Wait for 1 minute and restart Dreamweaver
See if this helps. Also share Help > About Dreamweaver snapshot and error snapshot as well.
    Thanks,
    Lalita

  • Flash CS3/ Dreamweaver 8 integration

I bought CS2 right before it was packaged with Dreamweaver.
So I bought Dreamweaver 8 right before CS3 was announced. (yes,
there's a pattern here, I bought a new computer as a student right
before USB was announced, and a new Mac soon before the Intel chip
model was announced- I just don't have time to research!) I am
being laid off in September, but just picked up a one-class
teaching job at a community college, and they just installed CS3 in
the labs yesterday. My question is- if I buy Flash CS3 for my home
computer, will it work as seamlessly with Dreamweaver 8 as it would
    with Dreamweaver CS3? TIA

    geekchick1,

You'll be fine. :) The only time the two applications ever
    meet is
when you embed a SWF into an HTML page. That one pinpoint
    hasn't especially
changed, so far as I can see -- though of course each
    application on its own
has gained all sorts of new functionality.

  • Contribute CS3  & Dreamweaver CS3

I do volunteer work for a pet rescue website. I started out
editing their pages with Dreamweaver CS3. When the work load got
out of control, one of the rescue members decided to help out by
using Contribute CS3. After a few months, I noticed there was a lot
of lag loading this one page we were both updating on a daily
    basis.
In Dreamweaver, in design mode, the page appeared to be fine
but when looking at the source code, there were thousands of empty
lines that had been generating for who knows what reason. The
amount of lines was over 50K. I manually went in there and deleted
all the empty lines and ended up with about 600 lines total of
code. Everything was back to normal and my helper continued using
Contribute CS3 and I used DW, until a few days later when I noticed
the blank lines were back. Not as many as there were before but
they were certainly adding up and were definitely adding to the
    loading time.
I did what I could to clean up the code and although there
are some empty lines left at the top of the file, the rest of the
file is ok now. I asked the Contribute helper to not make anymore
updates for the time being. I haven't seen any more blank lines
added since she stopped. So my best guess is that Contribute CS3 is
    causing all the problems.
Is there something in Contribute CS3 publishing preferences
that may be causing this problem? I couldn't find anything in the
manuals except something about Line Breaks but that didn't have
anything to do with the code. Could it also be a server problem?
Not sure where I would begin looking. Any help would be
    appreciated.
Here is a link to the file I am referring to:
    http://www.norcalgsprescue.com/adopt.shtml
    Thanks!

I've had similar issues, but not to the extent you seem to be
getting it. I know if you are using templates or server-side code,
the lines that do not propagage to your web client are removed, but
the source code lines are not collapsed...
Anyway, when I had a similar problem, it would putting an
extra line for each line in the html code... If you are on a
Linux/Unix Web server... go to Administer Website...Edit Role
Settings...Select the 'Editing' option on the left side of the
panel... at the very bottom, make sure 'Line Break Type' is set to
    'Unix (LF)'
    Hope that helps

  • Cs3 dreamweaver will not start

After multible installs that failed .... I click the dreamweaver.exe from Program Files /Adobe Folder and nothing happens. Same with command line.  Occassionally a small screen opens, telling me I have an error and asks if I want to notify MS about this and  telling me  to close (dw application  does not open at all now, but I get the small error screen).
I was able to open cs3 dw for a brief time in past,  but I got the same screen telling me dw must close and sorry about error.
    One  error refered to adobelm_libfnp.dll
    AppName: dreamweaver.exe     AppVer: 9.0.0.3481     ModName: adobelm_libfnp.dll
    ModVer: 11.3.5.1     Offset: 000eeb6d
What I am trying to do is move all my applications to a new computer (well newer).
I have run dw mx 2004 with CFMX 7 and coldfusion 9 on this newer computer.
I have removed all traces of dwmx 2004 and all coldfusion files.
    thanks

  • CS3 Dreamweaver install issue on Mac

I have uninstalled CS3 from my old MacBook pro and reinstalled it on my new MacBook Pro with 10.8. All applications work except Dreamweaver. When launcing Dreamweaver I get a warning message (has an ! icon) screen that has no words in it and an OK button. When I click the OK button, the program quits. I thought maybe using the disk to install would work, but I get the message that resources are missing and it won't install. What do I need to do to get Dreamweaver to work? Thanks

Thanks Samantha for posting back a soution - I'm sure it will be helpful to others in the future  :-)

  • CS3 / Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox

    Hi All,
It is very likely that I'm lame when it comes to finding this
info, but I'm still confused about the following and was hoping
    somebody could tell me:
    1. Eaxctly what is NEW in CS32
    2. Can it be installed alongside of DW8 - can they co-exist
    on the same machine?
    3. Exactly when will it be available?
    4. Is the Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox simply a
compatibility rewrite of MX Collection or has new functionality
    been added?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Richard

    > 1. Eaxctly what is NEW in CS32
I assume you mean CS3. Did you check the Adobe site? It's all
    there.
    > 2. Can it be installed alongside of DW8 - can they

Yes. You cannot run them simultaneously, however.
    > 3. Exactly when will it be available?
Now. In the US at least.
    > 4. Is the Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox simply a
    compatibility rewrite of
    > MX
    > Collection or has new functionality been added?
    I don't know.
