CS3 Export Settings Menu Not Appearing

I've had CS3 for a few years now and have never had this issue before. When I go to export through Adobe Media Encoder, the Export Settings window never pops up. Instead, CS3 somewhat freezes in the sense that if I try and click on something, I get a little ding from Windows and nothing happens. If I push ESC, I'm able to click on things within the program again.
I'm thinking the Settings window is trying to open,but it's hidden somewhere that I can't see? That explains why I can't click on anything after I do and explains why I can after I push ESC. I tried restarting CS3 a few times, putting the file into a new project, and restarted my computer, but nothing has worked.
The problem may lie within the file. They are originally .mp4's, but since CS3 can't handle those, I changed all the extensions to .mov. They import with no problem and after rendering the files, I have had no issues while working with them.

Since mp4/mov is merely a wrapper, use the free http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ to find out what is really inside that file... and use that information to create a new project with the correst settings
Or, convert to DV AVI Type 2 with 16bit 48khz sound

If your Mac is one year old it did not come with Lion, so you must have purchased and installed it yourself, or it is not installed.

When creating a new project, the step "new sequence settings" doe not appear automatically, what to do?

I have a question I am doing product videos for a comany they would like me to do this in a format that is 16:9 and in HD. Since they don't know on which channels they want to publish it but it is certain they will publish it on youtube I wanted to do it in the settings HDV and then DVCPROHD 720p24 or even 1080p24. I have bought the license of Premiere online and for some reason I do not have the option in the beginning when I create a new project to change the sequence settings. They do not appear and afterwards I cannot change them. Do you guys have an idea what can be done in order to access this setting before the project ultimately opens?
I'd highly appreciate any kind of help on the matter!

Third generation ipod shows incorrect language and settings menu not avail.

I finally found that "settings" menu by trial and error and I was able to change the language back to english. It was a royal pita lol.

Re-installed CS3 and Bridge does not appear...?

I was having major issues with Bridge (slow-moving, then crashing and finally an inability to open altogether). I tried a c number of things like clearing caches, repairing permissions etc. In the end, I uninstalled Photoshop CS3 and deleted all Bridge files, and reinstalled PS from the CD. However, after the re-instal, Bridge does not appear in the Apps folder and does not seem to have loaded at all. How do I get Bridge back? Any ideas? Clearly I should not have simply deleted the faulty Bridge app., but I assumed a clean re-install of PS CS3 would re-load Bridge. Any suggestions? Thanks....

Don't know why Bridge application was still there while having uninstalled
PSCS3 using the uninstaller that Adobe provides in either the utility folder
or in the application folder itself. (or did you you remove the application
by dragging it to the trash, usually a very bad idea when an official
uninstaller app is provided for this task)
However reinstall should by default install Bridge again in the default
application folder on root level. That is if you have not chosen anything
else when installing from DVD (you mention CD? but the original CS3 was
delivered on a DVD)
You also should check if the installer has a checkmark in font of all
application, I think to remember also in CS3 you have the option to choose
for a custom installation without Bridge. Could you check that.
And can you also confirm you have a install DVD and PS is in the default
application folder, that is not in the user account but on root level on
your system.
Clearly I should not have simply deleted the faulty Bridge app., but I assumed

Flash menu not appearing in Captivate 4

Gentlefolk;
I am evaluating the Captivate 4 trial version and ran into a problem.
I cobbled together a quickie menu in Flash which works fine in C4.
However, seeking a more elegent solution, I created another menu using a Flash menu generator (Antssoft) which works fine in a browswer and in a Flash player, but does NOT appear in C4. I see a Flash bounding box on the page, but when viewed in browser mode or by a standard preview, there is just a blank page.
I have tried variations on my theme with the menu: changing the filename to .flv so it could be imported as a Flash object, I have used the original .swf extenstion and imported as an animation, but all with the same results.
Suggestions? Is Captivate a beast in which one needs to build any type of menu within a Captivate project itself,and it really doesn't like external menus?

What do you mean cobbled together a quickie flash menu?
Was it something you actually built in flash to control the captivate swf, such as an animation you placed on the stage or a widget object you built?
Yes...Captivate is a beast, well at first. There are only so many variables/functions you are allowed to play around with, although with some more digging you may be able to find some more in the class files for captivate.
I am not sure if you are stil in need of help with this or not, let me know.

AddIn menu not appearing

CR - 2011 V.14.0.0.760
I have a .dll that I have created in .Net that should work as an AddIn. It worked for an evaluation version of CR that we had installed on our server. I now have a full licenced version on my XP computer, and the AddIn menu does not appear.
After creating the AddIn folder in the appropriate place (I assume), on restarting CR a pop up mentioned that the AddIn folder was being set up, but I can't yet see the menu. Computer has been restarted since then.
Any ideas anyone? I haven't answered my own question with the server/computer statement above have I?

Got back from a holiday yesterday. Don't know if you can still help me.
I've installed the newly downloaded version of CR 2011 back onto our server. I have built the demo project supplied in the link you gave me. It complained that I was missing a call to getMenuType as follows:

So I put that function into the code, and it compiled and I put the .dll onto the server in exactly the same place as my PC.
The newly created .dll Addin appears in the menu on the server.
However it just doesn't on my PC still.
Don't know if you have any more ideas? Don't worry if not, I'll keep plugging away (as usual.... ;O) )
FYI: The DotNetExternalCommand.dll I have referenced in the project is via the path
C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86

Menu not appearing

I have a flash site which I am trying to update. After I have
finished editing the site I do a flash preview and certain text and
the menu which I didnt edit do not appear. Any ideas?

Your description is a bit vague - but here's something you
can try
If your using Text inside a MovieClip then you need to Embed
the Font.
Select your text and click the Embed button on the Components
Panel - select all the Characters that are likely to appear in your
text. Save and Run - See if there's a difference.
Check your Alpha also you never know.

E65 Settings menu not accesable

I cannot enter the settings menu (tools > settings)
Every time I try to enter screen goes blank and after a couple of seconds the Tools menu pops up again.
Actions taken before this happened:
Changed the language from automatic (Spanish) to English in the settings menu.
Actions taken after this happened:
Have reset several times using both *#7370# and *#7780# but nothing seems to clear the problem.
Settings works fine after resetting but after changing language again, the problem returns.
Anyone got an idea on how solve this????

i had the exact same problem with regards to phone kicking me out of settings, however it only happened when i went into the call settings.
although when i did a hard format on the phone it fixed this issue and a few others
i don't really know what to suggest.. maybe RMA the phone?
this is another reason why nokia need to release an updated firmware.

Dreamweaver CC 2014 Sync Settings does not appear to work for me...

I synced all of the settings from one computer to the cloud with all options checked.
Then when I import those settings on another computer that I installed dreamweaver on, it appears as though nothing is coming down. Sites info does not come down, my application preferences (code coloring specifically) don't come down.
I am at a total loss...

Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing. The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as). The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue). However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens. It will not change to highlight that user.

Spry Drop Down Menu not appearing in I.E.8

I have created a spry drop down menu in Dreamweaver CS5, brought it to my webpage in Macromedia Dreamweaver, uploaded it and when I view the website in I.E. 8 only the top tabs of the menu appear. When I scroll over it, no drop down menu shows. Please help.

Apple drop down menu not appearing.....

Recently had to do a complete restore from my back up to my mac mini.
Seems to have sorted out most of the problems I was having (but not all).
However the Apple Symbol drop down Menu in the Menu bar turns blue when clicked on, but no sub menu appears.
Very inconvenient.
I'd be grateful for any thoughts on a solution to this.
And while I'm on the subject of weird things that the restore has produced......
I use iWeb to create a number of websites but now, after the restore, the icon in the dock is grey and when I try to open it I get a message that says
You can't open the application iWeb because it may be damaged or incomplete.
Any suggestions or possible solutions gratefully received.

Dynamic menu not appear in level in jdeveloper 11.1.1.6

version 64
i create menu from task flow and this menu have 3 level
0 ,1 ,2
after creat template and navigation pan and nod stamp and navigation item
when i set level to navigation pan to 0 it appear
and when set it 1 it not come any thing
may be create menu in my version 11.1.1.6.0 different from 11.1.2.1 or what ?

CS3: Exporting to .mov not rendering the correct size??

I'm using Flash CS3 and trying to export a Flash movie I made
as a .mov file. The file size is 1020x574. I export with the
"Render width" set to 1020, the "Render height" set to 574, and
"Maintain aspect ratio" is set (this is the same size as my stage,
fyi). However, every time I export it the resulting movie is some
completely different, distorted size, like 800x150 or something.
It's the same size every time.
Any ideas what's wrong here?

Okay, I found part of my problem: the "render width/height"
has nothing to do with the output size. I clicked on the Settings
option, and saw that the Size was set to that strange size. I
clicked on Size to change it, and saw it was set to "Current" -- at
this point I realized that I had changed my stage size. The size
was incorrectly reporting the "current" size as the old stage size.
So I switched to a different setting, then back. However, that
didn't fix it. Switching to a different compression type did for
the "current" size to update, though.
However, I have another problem: my exported .mov file plays
very slowly and choppy. My timeline framerate is 30, and so is the
export setting. However, it plays very choppy when the .mov file is
played back.
Any ideas there?
