CS3 Illustrator Installation Alert asks for Adobe Updater inserted to drive?!
While attempting to install CS3 Illustrator to Snow Leopard (Mac OS 10.6.8) an Installation Alert popped up saying, "Please insert Adobe Updater Manager 5.1 to continue installation."
I already have Adobe Updater 5.1.1.1113 installed, but apparently the installer doesn't recognize it. The installer gives me the choice of OK or Cancel. OK results in the pop-up blinking and staying up. Cancel results in the installer not installing Illustrator. I looked around and I could not find a download of 5.1 available.
Does anyone have a solution here?

I personally feel bad for those of you, who have had issues with your software because Neil is right about the fact that there are so many other Adobe Mac users who are not having these critical problems with running their Adobe software with Mac OS X version 10.5 and higher. I know this by speaking with fellow design students at my college, and by reading through hundreds of topics here in the many different Adobe Mac forums. I'm wondering if there might be something more going on with your machines, which is causing some of you to have issues with your software. I personally have been fortunate not to encounter any issues with the combination of Adobe software and Apple's operating system both with my personal set-up and with the set-up I use at my college, but again I'm still only using the Adobe CS3.3 Design Premium Suite and Mac OS X version 10.4.11 on my personal MacBook Pro 2,2.
However, I do have the CS4 Design Premium upgrade that I'm waiting to install once I get a new IMac. I'm hoping that I don't end up having the same bad experience that some of you have mentioned, but if I do I know I can get some very helpful and honest advice from individuals like Neil, Bob, and Buko, who are just a few of the very skilled Adobe Mac users that are constantly trying to help out other users here in the Adobe forums. If nothing else I will be sure to contact both the Apple and Adobe technical support staff. I wish all of you better luck and I hope your future experience with Adobe and Apple products improve.

Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, reinstall everything from scratch.

I received a pop-up telling me that OSX 10.8.3 was available. I started the download/ installation, but something interrupted the process and it was not downloaded and/or installed. Now when I ask for software updates, I det the message that "no updates available." What do I do to get thei update?
If the installation didn't finish, maybe OS X 10.8.3 was installed partially, and it doesn't show up because the updater already updated the OS X version to 10.8.3, although it doesn't mean that everything was installed and updated. Just to make sure that everything is updated to the version included in 10.8.3, reinstall it with the Combo installer > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1640

Why has my Pandora stopped working and is asking for Adobe Flash V 10 or better
When trying to access my Pandora Music account, it will not load, asks for Adobe Flash v10 or better. It has been working in the past but suddenly puked. I have been trying to download the latest flash player and it seems to download ok but times out on the upload, gets to 25-30% and loses connection. And I hate to say this but I have Hughes Net satellite. But like I said it worked before. As usual Hughes says that there is not a problem with their equipment. Speed tests have been all over the place, in other words not very consistent . I just had the Hughes Tech here at the house and he pretty much did everything that I have done with their customer service. And like I said everything has slowed down drastically.

The Flash Player version you need is currently 16.0.0.305 and is only 15 MB which should take very little time to download. Moreover, there is nothing to upload, so it's not clear where you're getting the installer from. You should get it only from Adobe, such as this link. Download the installer file and run it. -

Oh I see,
The window looks so similar to other activation windows, I had only ever seen the DPS login for CS5 which was in the Panel.
Be good for this window to have some text that relates to DPS. Maybe Sign in to DPS or you must sign in with an Adobe ID to use the Digital Publishing Suite and the Folio Builder.

I bought new i phone 5 3 days back, after that asked for new update which is 6.1.4, after updating my iphone i am not able to use cellular data services. I called up data provider, they says its the problem with new software update. There is no option add APN. Now when i switch to safari its showing you are not subscribed for cellular data. But I am able to use data on other phone.
Will you please help me in this regard?
Another issue, since i bought my new iphone there is dust inside back main camera.

How can I see a website that asks for adobe flash on ipad?
My son is trying to using a website in ipad and he cannot connect to it, because it asks for adobe flash. Is there anything we can do to upload adobe flash? Any other solution?

I bought my ipad3 in the Philippines and have my settings, after 5months of usage my ipad3 is asking for an update "ios6". I updated it in japan because im working here. After updating i cannot install or update all my apps and whenever i try this statement appears "your account is not valid for use in the japanese store. You must switch to the philippine store before purchasing. What should i do? Do i need to come back to the phil store every time i update?
Before when its still ios5 i can still download and enjoy apps even here in japan, but now after updating ios6 here, its stock, itunes store no more use from me.

That message is NOT from Adobe, and has nothing to do with Adobe's approval for anything.
Quite the opposite: Adobe Reader is NOT YET RUNNING, Adobe aren't involved. Some other app or program is putting out that message. Have you tried giving that permission? -

First, you do not have a 3G if you could upgrade it to 6.1.3, because 4.2.1 is the last version that will work on the 3G. So you either have a 3GS or you somehow hacked the phone to install an incompatible version. Assuming you have a 3GS the most likely reason for your problem is you have a gray market phone that was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it. When you upgraded it you removed the hack, so the phone is now locked to its original carrier. -

You could try a third-party browser app such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon which 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

Had problems with having the serial number acknowledged by the Photoshop Elements 12 (Organiser worked fine but Editor wouldn't open).
Chat support suggested I delete and reinstall program from an Adobe website download link. Have done that and now have slightly different problem.
Organiser still works fine but Editor asks for ADOBE ID which I enter but editor program does not load.
ADOBE website clearly confirms the product is registered against my ID.
Chat support now saying that they no longer provide support for PE12 Editor - only 13!
This is in direct conflict with the support advertised in the product's "Getting Started" brochure.
Only purchased PE 12 a couple of months ago (just prior to PE13 release) - find that this is pretty poor service.Sandeep,

I just uninstalled PSE 12 through control panel and yet in Windows Explorer I see it listed under the Program Files (x86)/Adobe. Photoshop Elements 8.0 is also in that directory. I have been trying to uninstall PSE 8 but keep getting error 1316. To further complicate the situation when I tried to reinstall PSE 12 yesterday I got a message that I needed to create a new folder. So I have Program Files (x86)/Elements 12 Organizer now even though I just uninstalled PSE 12.
I am so confused and frustrated! I have wasted 3 days trying to resolve this. PSE 12 was working great until a few days ago. I do have a backup of my catalog on an external hard drive. I just need to talk to someone on the phone or a live chat. -
Just installed OS Yosemite, and now I can't open Illustrator CS6. Asks me to update my Java, but I check and my Java is up to date. Please help!
Some people have reported reinstalling the Apple 2014-001 Java update has helped.

There are no keys, there is no trial version of OSX (ML or Mavericks) and Mavericks is free
