CS3 master suite installation complete Finally

Finally I Was able to get CS3 Master suite installed . all of it.
by just doing it one to two programs at a time. ( or a complete suite) which worked perfectly.
after months of playing around with this program which was poorly designed as a suite for total installation.
the installer always would hang up, or if it did complete it would install a shell of the program but not the program.
so one day i decided to go into the cs3 setup folder and unchecked all the boxes and just installed one at a time. if they were the same suite i would jus do the complete suite. and this process worked perfectly.
the licensing went off with out a hitch as each program asks for the license which is called for at the beginig of installation. so far each component works perfectly..
I just wish Adobe would get its developers together and design an install program that will install with out problems. just like i hear the business one does.

insert DVD.
do not choose install.
choose: browse DVD content
choose: in the right panel choose: adobe cs3 (file folder)
in right panel choose setup.exe.
You will see initializing adobe cs3...
next popup will be"Manage Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection Installer: System Check"
from this point it will check any adobe products on your system and show you its status,
*now a box will pop up : choose install \ reinstall. or remove components.
Choose install \ reinstall
another window will popup with check boxes already checked just uncheck all and chen check one or two at a time ( experiment a little here)
and install in groups of two or three, or as a single app.
upon each install ( groups or single) you will be asked to restart, and do so.
again you wil have to navigate to the folder as before, but this time
by the time i finished this over a three day period i had all suites installed. ( dreamweaver had already been installed with no problems) and registered most so far. still have a few more registrations to go..
good luck and you can email me if any questions as i have spent a lot of hours as most have installing, uninstalling, cleaning up and over again.

OH a side note. since I had an email address added here ( and now removed because some folks just cannot grow up.)
(My Government email address was removed from this posting, (which I forgot is added automatically when I respond from work) and to those that spammed me, and said they should, you might just expect a response from a government employee That traces illegal activities like this. AND in case you did not know it is Illegal to post SPAM to a Government agency and its employees.The folks I work for do not take to kindly at that.

Reinstall of CS3 Master Suite and Photoshop CS5

I recently had to reinstall my OS and now need to reinstall both CS3 Master Suite and Photoshop CS5. Can I install Photoshop CS5 first since I use that every day? And then later install CS3 Master Suite WITHOUT Photoshop? Or do I have any reason to install them in order, i.e. CS3 Master Suite WITHOUT Photoshop and then CS5?

I assume your Photoshop CS5 is the full retail standalone version?
I see no reason why you cannot install Photoshop CS5 then Master Suite CS3 (and uncheck the Photoshop CS3 option when you tell the installer what to install).

I have 2 users that have CS3 Master Suite installed. Adobe Acrobat was on version 8.1.6 so I updated both to the latest patch. Seems that their ability to search a network drive with windows xp search has been crippled. Previously they were able to search the contents of all files on a network drive in about 5 minutes. It now takes 24 hours or more. Other users who only have CS3 Standard or Premium that also received the Acrobat updates do not seem to have the same issues. This issue occurs locally as well as on the network using the same set of files. If you try to do a search from a computer that doesn't have Master Suite it blasts through the search in no time so that leads me to think that its some "feature" in the master suite but I cant pinpoint it... Anyone have any ideas on why this would have happened?
I am aware of the built in Acrobat search and its index but it only indexes PDF's. I know the windows/google desktop indexers they would work but slow the systems down during their scans.

I wish to activate my cs3 master suite

I have tried to activate my cs3 master suite but the process errors with the code 194:13 however when I contacted the help chat I was told "You will have to refer Adobe forums for more help on this issue so that our technical experts can help you.".
So please, can you help? I really need to use this software and also really feel that I should be able to as I own license to it.

CS3 Master Suite single use - How do I uninstall or upgrade the unsecure version of Acrobat without compromising the rest of the software?

I have CS3 Master Suite single use software, which serves me well. If I uninstall CS3 then I will be prohibited from using all CS3 products going forward. Thus far I have ignored the security vulnerability of Acrobat, but i"m growing concerned that I might get hacked. Is there a way to upgrade just Acrobat, or to uninstall it so that the security vulnerability no longer exist?

CS3 Master collection installation problem on Windows 7 64 bit

Please can you advise
I am encountering problems with the installation of CS3 Master Collection on Windows 7 64 bit, initially my hard drive crashed and performed a dump.
Subsequent attempts to install CS 3 has resulted in failure to install 12 components, essentially the individual software products including photoshop, encore, illustrator etc.
I have re-performed the installation several times with the same installation error.
I believe CS3 to be compatible with Windows 7 64 bit
Any thoughts, guidance on how to rectify the problem and achieve successful installation.
I do have Adobe Reader X and Flash player X already installed. I assume these should not cause an issue with the CS3 installation

Na, you have it all backwards. CS3 is neithe officially tested nor endorsed, certified or supported on W7. Many users still use it succsfully, but there ae no guarantees whatsoever. Furthermore using Acrobat X ma exactly be the problem due to certain PDF components being shared acoss apps and newer versions not being compatible with the old installer. Therefore removing those parts and reinstlling them later is advisable. Beyond hee's a procedure that should work:
- use the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool
- install CS3
- uninstall CS3 via the Add or Remove Programs system control panel
- install CS3 again
This convoluted procedure is necessary due to bugs in the installer which otherwise prevent things from working.

CS3 Master Collection Installation Tips for Mac G4?

Hi,
I just acquired a copy of CS3 Master Collection, and I'm wondering if I should be aware of any concerns/trouble before installing InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat on my 400MHz PowerPC G4, OS X 10.4.11, 512 MB SDRAM.
I don't currently use the other programs in the collection, like Flash and DreamWeaver. At least, not at the moment.

I'm looking at the Master Collection requirement for Mac and this is
what it says:
1GB of RAM for DV; 2GB of RAM for HDV and HD; more RAM recommended when
running multiple components
The individual apps will install at 512 (256 for InDesign on a PPC) but
the suites and collection all call for at least one gig.

CS3 Master Suite (Mac) to CS6 (PC)

A few years ago I bought the CS3 Creative Suite (Master Collection) Student Edition, however my Macbook broke and I will be switching to a PC. I've read that you can transfer your key to PC however you need to upgrade to the PC - are there upgrade prices for Student Edition purchases? If so, where can I access those upgrade prices?
If not, I have a second question. I'd like to re-sell the edition, however I've read that you need to deactivate the license to a certain account so that the new owner can register it to their account? Where can I email or message someone for this? The only options I've found is to do it over the phone (I have anxiety issues and I'm not good with phones) or through chat, and it's something that I don't really want to do over "instant messaging". Also, are there any extra regulations (like proof of the buyer being a student or something similar) with selling the old edition?
I'm sorry if I've got anything wrong and please tell me if I've said anything confusing.

You cannot sell or otherwise transfer a student version so forget that.
You can use it for the basis of an upgrade to CS6 but you only have until the end of the month to do so. You'll need to contact Adobe for a cross platform upgrade.

Cs5 master suite installation error

I've been trying to get Adobe Cs5 installed on my Windows 8.1 pc for a month now, so any possible help is much appreciated. I've downloaded Cs5 master suite file 1 & 2
The exe. file is 1,200 kb
The 7Z file is 4,669,129 kb
When i run the exe.( even as administrator) I get this error.
"The file archive part of Adobe Cs5 Master Collection is missing. You need all parts in the same folder( which they are) in order to extract Adobe Cs5. Please download all parts."
Do I need to re-download the files again? Should I just go buy an optical drive just to install this darn thing? Is it even possible to run Cs5 on windows 8.1?
Hope some one can help me out, this is hurting me financially

CS5 has not been tested on Windows 8 and it's not mentioned in the system requirements, but you can give it a try.

New CS4 Master Suite Installation fro Students

I am a student in San Diego, and am taking an online class. I purchased the student version of CS4 Master Collection and did (what I thought was) a complete installation. However, after the install I noticed it did not install all the software that was listed in the description on the back of the box. The programs that were not installed are: After Effects, Premiere Pro, Sound Booth, On-Location, and Encore. I've included a screen capture of the programs that were installed. Am I missing a disc or ?

Master Suite installation not recognising disc 2

Title sums it up. When I put disc 2 in the installer does not recognise it and coninues to ask for disc 2. Disc is in almost perfect shape. Any help is much appreciated.

CS3 problems with Master suite Dreamweaver CS3

Hi all, I've just activated my new CS3 master suite and there are a few problems so far. I cannot make dreamweaver my default
program for editing html files of any kind. I cannot also select any cs3 program as a default program for any file. I am using windows 7. I also cannot add the software package to my netbook as it keeps asking for the disc and I do not have a disc drive in the netbook. I have tried copying the
installation files onto a memory stick but I still cannot activate the CS3 on my netbook?
Any advice appreciated

This is where I am now - I found out from Adobe that these 2 licences we fake keys so after I picked my jaw up from the floor I contacted customer services at Adobe and asked them to take action against this seller and they have told me I will receive an email soon with an update. To be honest they didn't seem that bothered so i don't know if they will do anything. I should have seen the signs really because the seller has a PO Box and that is usually suspicious.
Anyway I contacted the seller and told them that they had sold me an en illegal software package and demanded a refund. I then contacted my credit card company and blocked the transaction with them. As soon as I got off the phone from the CC company (10 mins ago) I checked my email and I had a reply from the seller, here it is .....
"the keys i sent you over the email are for trial only, since the real keys are on the way in the mail.
i did not send you your keys since i do not keep keys once i mail them out.
have fully refunded in any case for the trouble, take care Steve and have a nice day"
Now I don't know who Steve is because it certainly isn't my name so maybe this guy has this standard message on his clipboard for all of the refunds he has to issue. I don't think the line about a trial key sounds very likely but I am no expert with Adobe products so maybe you could shed some light on this.
At least I got my refund so now all I have to do is make my mind up what to buy from here in but I will make sure it is from a company I have heard of

"please insert CS3 Master CD" when attempting to install.

I already had the CS3 Master Suite Installed. I ran installation again to add the Encore application and about 1/4 of the way thru I got the error message to "please insert CS3 Master CD" into the drive to continue installation. However, the CD is in the drive. I made the mistake of removing the entire suite, running an Adobe clean up tool, and then attempting to reinstall. Now i get the same message and can't install the suite back on the pc.
ANy thoughts?

Hi. Thanks for the replies. It's not a bad drive, as I have had no issues using it in any other capacity. Also, I am trying from the same exact drive as before. I have looked around and this seems to be a known error...but no known resolution as far as I can tell...
