CS3 not available CS4 won't work?

I am running a PowerBook PowerPC G4 1.5 gHz with 1.5 meg ram running OSX 10.5.6. My PhotoShop 7 is dead as discussed in other topics. The CS4 requires are a G5 1.8 gHz. I can't find CS3 anywhere to purchase either as a upgrade or full.
I want to get PhotoShop running again but what are my options?

Upgrade your Mac might be the best thing to do.
I actually have an extra license to CS 3 Production Premium Suite which I have for loading onto a Windows laptop which I never actually purchased.
But how do you upgrade that to a Mac version since they do not sell CS 3 anymore?
Plus I do not think this is going to be beneficial to you trying to run CS3 on a G4 and then running it on OS 10.5.6 as well. What you are doing is making everything very hard for yourself and you will be running the programs is a very undesirable environment even if you could purchase CS 3 for the Mac.
I have a simple solution like you I will simply have to buy a MacBook Pro and load the CS3 on that or probably upgrade to CS 4.
Neither one of us have a choice, upgrade is the way.

Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

JSFL - Commands working in CS3, not in CS4 / CS5 (library.selectItem / library.expandFolder)

I have a script that works perfectly fine in CS3, but does not work in CS4 and CS5.
This script is called "selectInLibrary".
You guessed it, what it does is select/highlight in library the symbols selected on the stage.
My issues are with the "library.selectItem" and "library.expandFolder" methods. They are simply not working in CS4 / CS5.
If anyone can help me with this, it would be awesome.

Need to activate Adobe Photoshop CS3 again but it won't work

Hello happy Photoshoppers,
I've been using Photoshop for a while now and never felt the urge to upgrade to a newer version. So I'm still using CS3 (Extended Edition), which i bought back in 2006 or so. Since then it's been working perfectly.
Last week it prompted me to activate my copy of the program again, which wouldn't work eventually; I entered my serial number but the connection can't be established, which I find weird since I can access the internet without any issues. I also tried to deactivate my firewall (Avast + Malwarebytes), no success either. Tried it on another PC, nothing.
I'm using Windows 8.1 (on both PCs) with the most up to date hardware drivers and flash and stuff.
Please help me :-) Thanks for any ideas in advance.

uninstall ps cs3, clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and reinstall using your serial number and the installation files.

Disc image file exported from Encore CS4 won't work

Hello,
I have a problem concerning the export of a disc image file in Encore CS4. I recently upgraded to CS4 and wanted to continue my project which I started editing with CS3. While working with CS3 I already did image files from this project for burning and testing the DVD. Back then it worked with no problems.
However, since using the CS4 version Encore does the image without any problem, but I can't use the image file in any way afterwards. I mounted it with Daemon Tools as I did before, but the DVD won't play in any software DVD player I have installed (Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player, Nero Showtime) nor can I access the file structure over a file manager. Nevertheless NeroInfoTool and ImgBurn say there is a DVD in the virtual drive. Then I exported the DVD project into a folder and now I can see the files in the file manger but again no player will play it.
Has anyone experienced this before and is able to help? It would be very appreciated since I don't want to downgrade back to CS3 :-)
It's Encore CS4, Version 4.0.1.048 on a 2,8 GHz HT CPU, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce 6800 UT, lots of HDD space, XP + SP3.

thank you both. As I said no player accepts the project exported to a folder. It doesn't matter if I point the player to the video_ts.ifo or just the folder - it won't play. As a consequence I re-installed Encore CS3 in which exporting worked fine and guess what - the exported image and folder output doesn't work either. Since it worked before in CS3 it comes down to the conclusion that either I did some editing to the project that screwed the project or Encore CS4 did. Checking for mistakes in the project and previewing in inside CS4 everything seems fine. So might it be CS4 that ****** up the project file??? I mean it's full of strange bugs so it could easily be that. I even updated my Daemon Tools yesterday and it won't make a difference.
Or could it be something else I haven't considered yet? Any ideas? I just don't want to build the whole project again which might not even work if it's some other error. This is a desperate call for help

Will Square Mac Pro be available - round won't work - want different shape

While it's pretty and sleek looking, the mac pro that was annouced on Jun 10, 2013, just won't fly for me. I have to agree with the ad on the apple website that the design is a radical change. But I disagree with the claim that it's logical. Round doesn't fit in with a working world made of square objects. square books, square file, square boxes, square containers. I have very limited space and I need my computer to be functional in shape more than I need it to be pretty. Round will not work as I need to be able to lean books and files against my computer on top of my desk. The smaller size is great. But still square would be better.
It's time for me to upgrade and I was holding off until after the announcement. But I"m kinda disappointed that my tool of choice extrenal enclosure design is going to be altered so significantly. I"ll have to rework my workspace (which is very limited) and I don't want to.

In case you didn't read carefully the product isn't available until Fall. How would we know any more about than you do? Furthermore, there was no announcement that it would be available square.

CS3 video - great; CS4 - no video works?

I've been publishing flash videos with CS3 with no problem,
but none of the videos I publish with CS4 work and I can't figure
out why.
CS3:
Import video into Flash, it converts to flv, places it on
stage. I change parameter for autoplay=false, publish, ftp to the
server and it plays.
CS4: Import video, Adobe Media Encoder opens and creates the
flv, and it's on stage. Change autoplay=false, publish, ftp
everything to the server, and it doesn't play. I get a blank screen
- the movie, the swf player control bar - none of it shows up. I
can right-click and get the usual options menu, but no "movie not
loaded" message.
So I'm trying to figure out who the culprit is - Flash, the
media encoder....?? The encoding options are different between
versions so I've tried various flv settings but no luck.
If I create an flv with the CS4 media encoder and then import
it into CS3, all I get in the browser is the swf playback controls
doing the barbershop pole thing where the buffer progress is
usually displayed.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Is the AVR set to 720P or 1080P for output? Use the resolution button on the front of the receiver to adjust.
Depending on what it is set to, the ATV needs to be set to the same setting.
The ATV does not support 1080i, if the receiver is set to that, change it.
Might be as simple as changing the HDMI port the ATV is connected to on the receiver.

Keyboard shortcuts in CS4 won't work! Please help!

In the last month I have lost all of my keyboard shortcuts in my CS4 program. I was using Windows Vista Professional - and installed CS4 in August. Everything was working great. Then last month, all of the shortcuts disappeared. I uninstalled/then reinstalled CS4 - still nothing. Have done that several times, and looked on the forums for similar issues, in the Technotes - nothing. Yesterday my office upgraded my system to Windows 7. I am on a new HP Elitebook - also purchased in August, so my system can handle the program with ease.
Anyway, I had the IT guy do a 'clean install' per most of the chatter online, so i went to install the program and the install came up with 'errors' first was that Adobe 9 was not installed, nor was Photoshop. When i opened up illustrator - poof - no keyboard shortcuts again. Please if anyone knows of something that I could try, I would really appreciate it. This is seriously making me behind in projects and am ready to throw my new computer out the gigantic window that is in front of my desk.
Oh, since this - I updated my graphics driver (per suggestion for Photoshop), unistalled CS4 - AGAIN - and am in the process of reinstalling. But I am pretty sure that the shortcuts will be missing.

CS3 fireworks trial download won't work, why?

when i try to launch the trial it gives me this message.

Premiere Pro CS4 Won't work on my Macbook

My hardware:
Macbook / OSX 10.5.8 / 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / 4GB RAM / 106 GB of free hard drive space
I just purchased the master collection (with student pricing, dunno if this matters). I try launching Premiere Pro CS4, and imported a clip, and it immediately crashed. Subsequent attempts to even launch the software without a hardware reboot simply crashed the software. Now, a week later, I seem to be able to launch Premiere and start a new project, but after I'm prompted to name/create a new sequence, the screen "hangs" on a 100% dark greyy screen with no content and I have no ability to do anything. At the top of the screen I can see the document path (Documents/Adobe/PremierePro/4.0/test.prproj), and thus I'm now stuck. Any thoughts? Is my hardware not robust enough to run Premiere? I have no trouble launching After Effects or anything else. Thanks.

Serial number for InDesign CS4 won't work.

I have Creative Suite 4. Everything was working until I took my computer to a shop to have it worked on. Now everything works except for Indesign. When I put in my serial number it says it's invalid. I deactivated Illustrator and tried reinstalling creative suite and still everything is working except for Indesign. What can I do?

That is patently not true.
You should be able to look it up yourself as I described above.
My serial numbers go back to a copy of Adobe Persuasion I bought in 1993!
Does your serial number has 24 digits?
If necessary, call Customer Service and ask for a supervisor to get satisfaction.
