CS3 programs installed but wont open.

Most of my cs3 programs wont open. I am running Windows Vista and have the Adobe CS3 master collection.
It appears as though Bridge is the only one that will open. Photoshop for example, will open the grey background with "file" "tools" etc. but will not go any further.
I have a new HP Pavilion dv5 with 2Ghz core duo, and 2GB ram.
Any help will be appreciated.

I had CS3 installed on my old computer running XP and everything worked fine. Then the motherboard (or something) on that computer fried so I bought a new one that has Vista Home Premium.
I've tried everything I can think of. I loaded it, the repaired it, then uninstalled it and reinstalled it in the "Program Files" directory (before it had been loaded in the "Program Files (x86)" directory) and repaired it in that directory.
I've tried opening every one of the programs, all except Photoshop end up doing nothing. When I look under Task Manager, there is nothing going on the "Applications" tab. But under the "Processes" tab, I see the exe file is loaded and going.
The main program I'm trying to use is AfterEffects - I tried to open it earlier so right now in "Processes" the pogram "AfterFX.exe *32" is loading and running but it's not working!!
It's driving me NUTS! I really have ton of work to do and I'm wayyy behind as it is with the stupid computer croaking. Now I can't even try to catch up because I can't open the program!

Sorry guys,was doing some more testing and there have been some new developments.
First, my database is version 10.2.0.4
secondly, on all client machines they have installed Oracle Forms 5.0.6.8.0
Interestingly, i can now open the form by connecting to the 10g database.
But when i try and query for data , run a report and things like that, am getting
the below error.
REP-0501: Unable to connect to the specified database
ORA-12637: TNS: Packet recieved failed

How to reinstall iphoto on my iMac. it is currently installed but wont open and says i need to reinstall from appstore

my iphoto is not working and it says to reinstall from appstore but in the appstore it shows already installed and there is no option to reinstall. do I need to try to move my current iphoto to the trash? if so what about all my pictures

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

IReader installed but wont open Urgent help needed please!

I have installed Acrobat Reader X.
When i try to open files I get a problem saying Microsoft and Adobe have encountered a problem and need to close.
I get an option to Debug, Send error report or Dont send.
The information which comes up when I look for more information is the following::

It was previously working then the next time I came to use it I got this.

1. camera loading - have you tried updating or reinstalling your firmware?
2. keyboard - define strange
3. slow - how much is phone memory and what apps are running in background (see taskmanager, hold menu key until it shows)? turn off theme animations. it helps.
4. handwriting - have you set the handwriting recognition to recognize your particular penmanship? Go to menu>settings>phone>touch input. Set writing speed to very fast, calibrate your screen and take handwriting training so the phone will recognize your handwriting.
5. qwerty - what things? how so? have you set it to qwerty?
6. cannot scroll in file manager - its not a problem. Thats normal for the OS. Use Nokia Photobrowser or the Gallery for viewing pictures. File manager is for managing files, not viewing them.
7. Motion sensors - read #3
8. Phone feels hot - how hot? Batteries heat up when charged. Its normal. However it depends on how hot exactly.
9. Depends maybe on how long the video is. My 5800 feels hot when watching an entire movie. Also this would be reflected on #3 as well, as the phone may be working overtime.
10. Music when unplug headset - Its normal for almost all Nokia phones (heck even some other brands this is normal), try to use an alternative player if you like

13. Use Nokia Photo Browser download from ovi store. It shows pics only and looks real cool. Anyway, you can put all your videos in the gallery into a virtual folder so that it is separate. Its the way the gallery is designed, to show both pics and video. As you can see, it is written Images and Videos, so they're supposed to be together in there.
14. Adobe still hasnt caughtup its mobile solutions for its PC solutions. Its their fault not Nokia's or anyone else's.
15. Depends on extension. Built in office reader only reads .doc, not .docx.

My "os" is windows 8.1
When I clicked on the PHOTOSHOP 13 executable the photo editor popped up
along with an install option. Then I clicked install and then a update
failed message popped up. (I've attached a screen shot photo of that) Then
I clicked on error log and a "please quit and try again error code" message
popped up. (I've also attached a screen shot photo of that as well) so
after all that I closed everything and restarted my computer and clicked on
the PHOTOSHOP 13 executable again and it went straight to the photo editor
not the welcome screen (where I can choose either organizer or photo
editor)... why isn't there a welcome screen like before?
When I clicked on the executable for PREMIERE 13 there was two executable
options.. one that was labeled (PREMIERE 13 exe) and another that was
labeled just (PREMIERE exe) without the "13" so first I clicked on PREMIERE
13 exe and it took me to the welcome screen so then I clicked on video
editor the new project but nothing happened. ... the loading bar moves then
stops. So after that I closed it and went back to click the PREMIERE exe
and it took me straight to the video editor, again no welcome screen (were
i can choose either organizer or video editor) just like the photoshop....
so in the end I am able to click on the executable options for both
photoshop 13 and premiere and it takes me straight to the editor but
without the welcome screen...
Clicking on the shortcut icons on my desk top still won't launch though....
So does this mean it's working because clicking on the executable options
takes me straight to the editor? Or is something still not right because
the program won't open/launch when i click on the desktop shortcuts and
welcome screen won't pop up when clicking on executable options?

At last i did some experiments and it solved my problem... heres the solution :
1. Install the reliance drivers and software from their website.
2. As the reliance software is not supported my mavericks it wont open, but dont worry.
3. Now after installation go to system preferences->network->and select "ZTE Wireless Terminal".
4. Configuration: Default
     Telephone number: #777
     Account name and password should be the owners number.
5.Finish ! press apply and click Connect...
   Enjoy browsing !!!

Have upgraded to Snow Leopard. Pages icon still there but wont open, and i cant open my pages docs. Any ideas

Home sharing registers my library but wont open it

on my main computer home sharing will register the new computer but on the new computer it will register that it can "see my other library but wont open it. if i click on it to open it trys to load but then just stops and goes back to the Music part of itunes

my computer is showing full connection through the airport but wont open any web pages it says it is not connected to the internet... When i hard wire the internet in with the cord it works just fine so i think i somehow messed up or turned of my wi fi capability but i show my airport is on

Your computer is showing it's connected to the Wifi router all right, but perhaps the router isn't connected to the Internet.
If your connecting the Ethernet cable directly to the modem and resetting it, bypassing th erouter and then getting online, fine that's good.
If your connecting to the router directly and getting on the Internet fine, it means the router is connected to the Internet.
If the last one is true then likely what has occured is your DCHP lease is expired because your computer doesn't have the right time and date as the router, it's showing a good signal but your not connecting.
Open System Preference and check the date and time and set it to update to Apple's time server for your location.
Sometimes Apple's time is off, as third party routers get their time elsewhere and sometimes the two don't match and thus DCHP lease is expired.

After closing firefox 7.0.1,win7 64bit,and reopenning,tabs on toolbar are there but wont open (something new).

Something new today. I am getting recently viewed tabs on the task bar (each of these may have a few tabs) which appear on the taskbar but wont open. In order to get something to open I have to reclick on the Firefox icon on the desktop. Then that session opens okay with multiple windows and tabs...but those other tabs remain unopennable .When hovering over them on the task bar they show blank boxes, whereas the others look ok.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

ITunes installed, but dosent open

I have installed the new iTunes 7.0 but the problem is it wont open. Theres no error, no sort of problem notification, I just double click on the icon like normal and the hour glass shows, but then nothing happens. Is there an installation glitch?? I would figure if there was a problem with my computer being able to load or install the program my computer would notify me some way but it dosen't.

I have a similar problem, i just bought a new pc and one of the first things i installed was itunes. But i had some problems with drivers and and other programs so i had to use system restore (5 times...) so i can install itunes but it wont open and i get an error message. I think my problem is with quicktime cos i cant find it anywhere in my folders, there is a quicktime folder but its empty (0 bytes) so i downloaded quicktime from this site seperately and installed it, i got a message saying that a newer version of quicktime is already installed... i have no idea how i can fix this, quicktime isnt listed in the install/uninstall function in windows, its not visible in any folder, its not thereeeeeeee =(

HT1451 itunes 11 is deleted and itunes 10.7 reinstalled but wont open because the itunes library .itl was created by a newer version ???
