CS3 Serial Numbers no longer in splashcreen... where have they gone?

Once upon a time adobe products displayed their serial numbers in the "About" splashscreen... but it seems no longer!
I need to reinstall my InDesign (since I installed an update. Arghhh) and want to make sure I'm entering the correct serial number for this copy, as we have 2 in the office, one of which has not had it's "spare" or "laptop" serial used yet. So I don't want to use that one on the reinstall, incase we get another laptop.
My receipts from purchase don't have the serial listed on them.
Should I assume the lower serial number is the older?
Or is there some new secret place within the applications that show the serial?

You can't find the serial number in the application or on the computer. If you've lost the original box with the numbers, you have two options:
- If you've registered the products you can log on to adobe.com and retrieve the s/n. Or, you can call Adobe and ask them to give them to you (you will need to prove that you are the one who registered them).
- If you still have the original receipt, you can contact Adobe Customer Service and ask them to provide you with the s/n for the product.

Give this a go:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

Lost 2500 photos last night. Mt wife cut and paste a photo into power point for editing. then saved it as a photo. Now in iphoto there is just this one photo and the other 2500 have gone. Where have they gone???????

To answer some basic questions posted to aid people in helping me. These are
I believe it is version 11 of iphoto as i tried to update but it says it has the latest update and Mac is 2 weeks old from new.
OS is Lion.
I have just tried to look everywhere on the Mac to see where the photos might be.
There are no error messages showing on screen and it was fine before my wife did what she did. Even though we have back -ups of 95% of the pictures. I would like to know what happened so that it won't happen again.

Albums are logical entries in the iPhoto database - you need to restore fromyour backup to get them back

Why has Notes deleted all but the very first note I made. I was keeping two diaries and they both disappeared, why? Where have they gone?

When I went to update my notes I found that all entries had gone and only the first note i made at the beginning of March had been retained. Only the one note appears on all devices

i did go to notes in gmail and none of thm where there but i havent connected my ipod to a computer for about a month so majoriy of the important ones will be backed up i hope to god thank you

I built a web site with dreamweaver mx 2004 and all worked
well on my pc.
I uploaded it to my web host and all of the index page is
there but with no photos ? the style sheet is there all text is
correct but theres no photos or colours / and backgrounds are
missing as well,...well actually there is 1 photo which was in
another file, i deleted the photo and tried again and that photo is
ok,it reapeared. i moved a photo from my image file to the good
photo file but that does not appear on the site ? Ive spent hours
and do not know what to do and i need some sleep !

No - the images can in theory be in any folder - but most
people seem
to put images in one folder - something like "img" or

that's a good way to do it and what most sites seem to do.
For a small site with just a page or two and a few images -
you could
keep all files in the one root folder - but to create some
sort of
order and make it easy to maintain sites have a number of
folders.
Even the html files will have a variety of folders to
logically
organise the material.
Dreamweaver manages the links - so if you move files around,
create
new folders etc - it updates the links. .

After pushing the 'back up now' button on my itouch, i seem to have lost 50% of my photos and videos. Where have they gone and how do I access them again?

I've been using my itouch for ages now and signed up to icloud about 2 months ago (UK based).
It's got photo stream enabled, so presumable has been backing up automatically. Yesterday for some reason I went into the storage and backup function in the settings menu of icloud, and clicked on back up now. Since then, I can't view about 50% of my photos and videos and I don't know where to find them.
Can anyone guide me in how to find these photos again?

Where have they gone

Two weeks ago I was at iTunes and saw what I thought they called imix which were a group of songs that someone selected and put up on the site. Since then I cannot find where they are.

Click on the Music link under the iTunes STORE header. Then look down the left side of the page; you'll see the iMix link about half-way down, under the MORE IN MUSIC header.

IPhoto Themes - Where Have they Gone?

Recently had to reinstall iLife 09 so iPhoto was also reinstalled. When trying to print a photo the computer states that no themes are located. I go into the HD, library and delete com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. Tried to print but still no themes, reinstalled iPhoto 09, tried to print again but again no themes are located.
Had a similar problem with iDVD but fixed that up but unable fix the iPhoto themes problem.
Any help/tips would be greatly appreciate as none of the forum advice has fixed the problem so far.

Look in your User/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder for a Themes folder. If you find it there move it to the HD/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder and reboot. Then try iPhoto again. That may save you having to go thru the reinstallation.

Found I can see more when a reminder appeared at the top of Notifications and I clicked on it. It opens a Reminders App which can then be kept in the dock.

How can i find my serial numbers for my products since i have bought the NGO version of Adobe creative suit 6 master collection?

i get a box of products but i cant find any serial numbers at the back of CDs or the box, so what should i do?

Only series 5&7 are available on demand. All series were supposed to be available until the end of March. I take it this was a mistake. We are in the middle of series 6 so please please do not disappoint us!! Can you bring it back ASAP please??

I had the same problem with my iPhoto library of thumbnails. I found them, but when I am unable to drag more than one at a time! I can highlight more than one file in the list, but when I hold the command key or the option key or both (I tried various combinations) only one file will drag over. I could do this, but it will take a long time since I have a lot of photos.
Is it possible to drag a group of files or do I have to drag each one?

I found it (well the solution for my problem ;-).
Just comment out the searchroot parameter and ZENBuddy starts searching
from the root of the tree.

Where have downloads gone under Lion?

Hi....just updated yesterday to Lion and I cannot frind the folder for downloads any longer. There is no listing in the finder for my main disk

Click on the Desktop, select Preferences from the Finder menu. Check the boxes for what you want displayed on the Desktop in the General section and for the sidebar in the Sidebar section of the preferences dialog.
Your downloads always default to the /Home/Downloads/ folder.
