CS3 video component - which files to upload

When using a video component in CS3, and the movie is
rendered, does it, or does it not
take all 4 files to show the movie on the web.
1 question - may I please get an answer to this.

(along with QT)
that won State, Federal & special Congressional
recognition & awards . . .
Flash 5 was very easy for me to learn, and produce content.
After investing in the CS3 Software, the training, and the
new computer to run it all on - I'm absolutely no further along
than I was when I started.
This has been a freakin nightmare - with VIRTUALLY no support
and a complete indifferent attitude.

Flash video component problem

I used Flash CS3 to create an .swf that links to a .flv and
plays in a video component. When I upload it to my website created
in Dreamweaver MX, the video plays, put the component does not
appear.
My question is this: Is the Flash CS3 video component
compatible with Dreamweaver MX?

Have you tried adding a "trace" message to let you know when cue point is reached?
Have you tested the functions separately to varify that they work?
Also I wonder about using
if(evt.info.name == "01CreditIn")
The .info part...
Here's a working example that on a certain "event" type cue point, fires a trace message and then loads a second movie

Why is the phone taking video with this file instead of something like .mov or mp4. How can I change the extension after the fact and avoid it in the future?

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

Web Dynpro component - Flat file upload

We have a requirement to upload a flat file to Planning cube (real time cube) through Web Dynpro component.
Web Dynpro component which we have developed is able to read the records from the flat file.
Now, the issue is u201CHow can we save the records read from the flat file to planning cubeu201D?
If anyone has worked on the similar requirement, pls reply. Thanks in advance.
Note : We have a planning sequence which will be executed on the click of UPLOAD button.
This planning sequence has a filter on Infoprovider (cube which we are using for planning) and a planning function of type u201CFile uploadu201D in which we have defined the flat file format.
Aggregation level is made on Multiprovider which has 2 underlying cubes (One is realtime and other one is standard).
Is there any function module in which we can pass the name of the flat file so that it will be uploaded in planing cube?

AVI files delete video component

Hi... New problem. Pretty significant as it brings my current project to a stand still. I capture video files of my screen with "Debut". It is a trial version but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I get great video clips from it, one of which is attached. They are AVI files. When I import to Elements there is no video component, just the audio. It makes them an audio file in Elements.... Hmmm....

At this point, not sure what that conversion program is, but check your project preset choice and make sure that you render the Timeline by pressing the Enter Key of the computer main keyboard to get the best possible view of the Timeline content...you could also just press the Render button above the Timeline. But if you have no colored line or a green line over the Timeline content, no rendering of the Timeline is possible. The rendering is to get the best possible preview of the Timeline AND non colored line or green line over the content means you already have the best possible preview.

CS3 Video Encoder w/ .m2v and .wav files

Hello - I use the CS3 video encoder to prepare Youtube videos. I usually input an avi file and it works great. However, I have a few videos which are seperate video (.m2v) and audio (wav) files. What is the easiest way or best program to use to enable me to convert these files for use w/the video encoder?

CIFS UNC File access in Video Component

Does the FLV video player component support file access via CIFS (windows file share) using UNC path \\server\share\filename?
If Yes,
Is that considered local file access? or Network Access?
Do the Cross Domain Policy restrictions apply?

The applet works perfectly if I use that function, but I have another question.
If I want to use something like:
Img1=getImage(getDocumentBase(), "s01.jpg");
it works perfectly.
If I do the fillowing:
Img1=getImage(getDocumentBase(), "pic/s01.jpg");
it also works.
But is it possible to go a level up?
Like:
Img1=getImage(getDocumentBase(), "../pic/s01.jpg");
That is if an applet is in one folder and the pictures are in another, but to get to them I have to go a level up and then enter another folder.

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folders. In OS X 10.9 there are two sandboxes, while in earlier versions there is only one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Log out and log back in. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Repeat with this line:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combinationcommand-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

Which file to convert in a video (movie) CD?

in a movie CD, there are 4 folders
1. EXT - LOT_X.VCD, PSD_X.VCD
2. MPEGAV - AVSEQ01. DAT
3. SEGMENT - ENTRIES.VCD, INFO.VCD, LOT.VCD and PSD.VCD
4. VCD and there is separate 'Auto run'file.
I have videora ipod converter.

Video Component in 5.5

Hi -
I am trying to use the OOTB Video component in 5.5. I have installed ffmpeg. I am overriding the arguments to it by using the custom arguments only in the etc/dam/video/hq.html. This is what I have in custom arguments --b:v 64k -threads 2
When I upload a test video to hq.html and run the transcoding, i get no errors. When I add that video to DAM, it also transcodes properly (atleast it throws no errors) and I see ogg,flv and the thumbnail created. However, when I drag that video into a video component on a page, it drops ok, but does not play at all. Is there a problem with the transcoding (even though I get no errors)? The documentation does not specigy which version of ffmpeg to install, so i have installed the latest. I have also tested with mp4 and a .mov file and get the same result. Is there something wrong with the codecs I am using? What codecs should I be using? Thank you for your time.

I noticed that you did not mention the h.264 (m4v or mp4) rendition (from the High Quality H.264 profile) being generated. Might be an issue with ffmpeg for just this encoding - but you should see that in the error log. You'll need this profile rendition for Safari and Chrome (and for the hq Flash fallback for older browsers).
Otherwise: did you define the profiles to be used for the video component in the design dialog of the video component? The ootb geometrixx design uses "High quality h.264" and "Firefox HQ ogg".
