CS3 Won't Open Any More

I have had CS3 on my computer for about 1 month now and I was using it just fine. I went to start the program and now it cycles through with the intro screen when the program is starting, then the top bar shows up at the top of the screen and then it shuts down unexpectedly. (It show up in the task bar and then disappears when it closes right away.)
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling. I tried running the 3.1.1 update patch and it still won't work. Please help! I have a time sensitive project I am working on.

Firefox won't open any more and won't reinstall

My Firefox browser suddenly won't open at all. I tried to reinstall but when I clicked the 'run' button, all information disappeared but nothing happened. I went to my 'downloads' to try again but the same thing happened. It will not reinstall. I have an HP Envy laptop with windows 8.

Updated iTunes to the newest version and now iTunes won't open any more.

Yesterday, iTunes was working properly. Ran spy sweeper and PC has no viruses. Opened iTunes today and it asked if I wanted to update to the newest version. I did. Newest version never installed properly. Said a file was missing 2/3 through with installation. Tried to uninstall and reinstall completely and its telling this same file is missing. Any ideas? Using Windows 7. Trying to connect with my iPhone 5.

The error message I am receiving is:
iTunes.exe - System error.
The programs can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer.
Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
(Which I have done.)

Adobe Acrobat 8.0 won't open any more.

I have a registered version of Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Pro (with the Creative Suite) running on a computer with Windows 7. Until today it worked fine and since checking for updates it will no longer work - the program won't even open. The other programs all work fine. I also noticed that 8.0 is not eligible for an upgrade. How can I get Acrobat opening and running again? I've tried everything that I've seen on here including deactivating other programs and reactivating and running the repair.

We do not recommend to use to Acrobat 8.0 on windows 7. I would suggest you should upgrade to latest version of Acrobat.
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the Acrobat 8.0?

Attachments won't open any more

I used to be able to open email attachments on my 8800, but last week this suddenly stopped working. Mostly I'm trying to open XLS files sent from my gmail or yahoo accounts, but I don't think any attachments are working. Sometimes I get an 'incomplete input data' error, but most of the time it shows the 'viewing document' progress bar but then doesn't actually open it.
On the advice of a few other forums I've tried rebooting the BB, clearing the logs, deleting old emails, verifying that there's enough space on the device, and having the service books resent. No luck so far. Has anyone else run into this?

Try this in the correct sequence:
Go to options, advanced options, Host Routing Tables, click to enter. DO NOT click on any listing.
Press menu key, and select register now.
You will get a verification email. Then go to email settings and send service books.
Some models like the Curve 8330 and Pearl require logging into the carriers BIS site
via PC. You will get an email per account for activation.
Do a battery pull as listed, then check the attachments.

Pages won't open any more.

It's Pages version 1.7.2 on a 1st generation iPad, and it used to work fine. When I tap the Pages icon, the app crashes right after the background pops up along with the word "Pages" at the top. I was going to uninstall and reinstall, but I get a warning that uninstalling the app will delete all of its data. My data is not on the cloud. There is 48GB of memory left, but the diagnostics feature records a low memery error when I try to open Pages. Any suggestions?

Before the uninstall/reinstall, try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.
If you do have to resort to the uninstall, activate iCloud first and make sure your files are loaded to it.

IDVD won't open any more?!

Hi there,
My mac has stopped opening iDVD. It opens and the dock icons jumps as per usual and I am presented with the splash screen. From there, if I open a project or create a new one, the program either freezes and I have to force quit it or it just closes all together without any warning. I can create a new Magic iDVD however, when I click on "Create Project", the same happens as above.
My mac has 2 hard drives in it, one of which I recently changed. Originally I had a 200GB HD however I have recently changed it to a 40GB HD. The 200GB drive had nothing on it at all and so I am fairly sure that hasn't had anything to do with iDVD not working. Since then however, I have filled up the 40GB drive and so I am wondering if it could be due to a lack of memory that iDVD isn't opening. (I could however be totally wrong as I don't know if iDVD would use the second drive at all.)
My question is could the lack of memory be responsible for the program not opening and if not, is there anything else I could try?

You got it. iDvd needs working room on the boot volume (your main HD). I recommend 20-25 GB and above.
You could do what I have done in the past and take that 200 GB and use CCC or SuperDuper to clone the 40 GB to the 200 GB. Once you know it's fully operational and you can successfully boot to the newly created mac volume, then reformat and use the 40 GB as a scratch disc for iMovie or other apps like FCP, DVDSP, etc.
Hope this solves the issue but if not just come on back ....

I recently updated to vista service pack 2 and I updated to itunes 10.2.1 and ever since I did that my itunes won't open any more. Itunes starts but before anything loads a window pops up saying that the prograam has encountered a problem and shuts down.

I've tried uninstall/reinstalling it, disabling bonjour and the icuuc40 swap out to the older version but nothing has worked, yesterday I upgraded to 10.2.2 and still nothing. I haven't been able to open itunes for about a month now without it crashing.

It fixed my issue!

My final cut pro 7 won't open any more

it jumps up and down on the bar at the bottom then a window pops up saying that it had to close unexpectedly. All the other features work(Compressor, dvd pro, cinema, soundtrack) and i would love to have the program back.

ITunes doesn't open any more

My iTunes doesn't open any more all of a sudden, though Task Manager has listed it in "Processes". Quicktime and everything else works, though.
I've tried de-installing and re-installing serveral times.. Even older Versions (iTunes 10.5) won't work.
Can you tell me what to do?

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

Help! PS won't open any files!

Well i did a system restore and now PS won't open any file, it was working FINE before i did the system restore, I have flash and dreamweaver also installed and they're working fine!
I open PS everythings fine, but when i try to open ANY file i get this error

Then when i clicked "Ok" got this error

I don't know what to do anymore, i've reeinstalled it again probably 15 times by now and it still doesn't work.

But it still doesn't works!

Color & RAM use: Won't open any files

I'm using Color on an Intel iMac running 1gig of RAM. It won't open any quickimte movie clip, exported xml version 4 files and if i export a clip from my FCP timeline, the program will launch, but nothing happens. all the screens appear but the video never appears. Is this a RAM issue or a faulty install? I have an identical machine with the exact same specs and it runs perfectly.

COLOR doesn't care much about those things. Well, a little, but the most important deal-breaking item is the video card/display. There are some GPU's that COLOR will NOT run on, and some that it will boot in a crippled configuration. Check in your About this Mac to make sure that you don't have an incompatible video display device. There are more of those than there are compatible ones, which is pretty narrow. It is not for nothing that a PCIe device is recommended.
