CS4 angry with decimal values

Hi,
I can't find the answer to my problem :
I'm on Indesign CS4 (french) and Windows XP. Constantly, without no (obvious) reason, the fields x, y, height and width (top left) suddenly doesn't take decimal values anymore.
It drives me crazy!
I work for a printer, I daily use Indesign so it's important.
Apparently, the problem disappear when i restart the soft.
I tried with point and decimal point,
I tried to change one number when the value is already a decimal,
I checked my keyboard (AZERTY),
but nothing at all….
Each time, the soft display "Valeur numerique incorrect" (Incorrect numeric value).
Did someone already had this problem ? An even more important, does anyone have a solution?
Hope you can help.
THX

Are you using the correct separator for the decimal (comma vs dot -- not sure which would be right for you), and are the files all French in origin (not sure tht matters).
Check the Language settings in Windows under regional settings, and diable the keyboard shortcut to switch languages if you have multiple languages installed. That screws things up all the time becasue the OS interprests one of the common ID shorcuts as a call to switch languages.

  • Write all digitall ports (Channels) with decimal value

    Hi,
    it is possible to write all digital port with a decimal value for a device with 96 channels in the same time?
    I have a USB 6509 device and I want to write each bit whit value 1 in loop (for the first port I write 0,1,2,4,8,16, 32, 64 and 128) with line "Dev3/port0/line0:7", but if I want to write all the ports in the same time how to set the line and the "DAQmx write.vi"?
    Thank you.

    You can setup reading and writing in 8-bit ports with the 6509.  So you could just write 128 to "Dev3/port0".  If you want to write to all 12 ports, I recommend making a task that is multiple channels on the 6509 module, each channel in the task being a port.  You can then use the Multiple Channel, Single Sample to write your values.  Your values will need to be in an array of U8.

  • Purchase order with decimal values in held status.

    Hello, i have a SC. The quantity is decimal for the line item.When it was approved, the PO got a 'held' status.How do i release the PO and what can i do in order to accept decimal values in my SC ?

    Hello,
    Are you sure this is not a workflow issue?  If it is held, someone either placed it in hold status or something like that.  Since, there was nothing to suspect an application error, I don't think the decimals is your issue.  If you feel that it is, have you checked OSS.
    More information would be helpful....

  • Problem with decimal values

    Hi
    I need to store a very long decimal value. something like
    0.123456789012 in to the SQL data base.
    However after doing some calculations , my value is trim to
    0.12345
    float value = v1 v2v3;
    v1 is long and v2 is a float and v3 is in double.
    anyone noes y? I need the value to be in full lenght (as in all the numbers after the decimal point).
    many thanks !
    yan

    but my SQL database is designed to store float
    value.
    I haf no control of the SQL database..Don't assume that float in the SQL database is the same as float in Java code.
    SQL-Server 2000's float is the same as a Java double. Depending on the RDBMS you are using, the same words may have a different meaning between the RDBMS and Java

    Hello,
    when i make an update on a numeric column [numeric(38,15)] of a database table residing on a MS-SQL-Server 2005 it works fine when the value has no decimal part:

  • Editable alv not update with decimal values

    Friends.
    i have editable alv, there is a editable field is with 3 decimal places.
    my problem is when i changed there value as  15 its take 1.5 and if i change as 150 its take 15.
    can you please help me to solve my problem?
    thanks in advance!

    Hi Friend,
    This Problem will be solved in below method.
    Define Your filed type in currency.
    Eg. vnumber TYPE CE1SAS1-KWABLK (kwablk is a currency field).
    In FIELDCATALOG add currency.
    Eg:
    lw_fcat-fieldname = 'VNUMBER'.
    lw_fcat-edit = 'X'.
    lw_fcat-datatype = 'CURR'.

  • Issue with Decimal Values in Bex Reporting

    hello gurus,
    I have extracted data from 2LIS_13_VDITM. In the ODS when I look at the Active data, column Billing Qty Sls Units - it shows "13,190 " and the Sales Unit is "KM".
    ITEM   SALES UNIT  Billing Qty :Sales Unit
    10       KM          13,190
    20       KM           0,500
    In R3 table VBRK also it stores in the above format.
    But while reporting it rounds of the data as 13,000 and 1,000.
    How can i get the actuals, in reporting also.
    Pls advise. thanks in advance.

    Hi Eugene -Scaling it to 1 did not help.
    Hi Roberto -> I had a look at the entries in T006 for KM (kilometers)and M(meters). this is what i got.
    [Int. meas. unit] [Decimal.pl.rnd.] [Decimal places]
    KM            |       0       |            0
    M             |       2       |            0
    And in SPRO in Src System and BW Sytem there is no mention of KM and meters.

  • Download file with fields with decimal values.

    Hi,
    I need to download infotype records to a file.
    I need a comma deleimited file.
    I have got all the details from Infotype to my internal table 'IT_OUTPUT_OPR'
    my code is as follows:
    LOOP AT IT_OUTPUT_OPR.
        CLEAR IT_FILE_OPR.
        NUM = 0.
        DO.
    Get name of next structure field into <f>
          ASSIGN COMPONENT SY-INDEX OF STRUCTURE IT_OUTPUT_OPR TO <F>.
          IF SY-SUBRC <> 0. EXIT. ENDIF.   " No more fields in structure
          LEN = STRLEN( <F> ).
          IT_FILE_OPR+NUM = <F>.   " Write field to output table
          NUM = NUM + LEN.
          WRITE: ',' TO IT_FILE_OPR+NUM(DELIMIT_LEN).
          NUM = NUM + DELIMIT_LEN.
        ENDDO.
        APPEND  IT_FILE_OPR.
      ENDLOOP.
    my internal table contains 'decimal' fields too.
    so I am getting the following runtim error: 'OBJECTS_NOT_CHARLIKE'
    at the position:
    LEN = STRLEN( <F> ).
    Please could anyone tell me how could this issue be resolved?
    any pointers in this regard would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Saher

    Try something like following
    LOOP AT IT_OUTPUT_OPR.
         CLEAR IT_FILE_OPR.
         NUM = 0.
         DO.
    *  Get name of next structure field into <f>
           ASSIGN COMPONENT SY-INDEX OF STRUCTURE IT_OUTPUT_OPR TO <F>.
           IF SY-SUBRC <> 0. EXIT. ENDIF.   " No more fields in structure
    *       LEN = STRLEN( <F> ).    "DELETE
           DESCRIBE FIELD <F> OUTPUT-LENGTH  LEN. "INSERT
           IT_FILE_OPR+NUM = <F>.   " Write field to output table
           NUM = NUM + LEN.
           WRITE: ',' TO IT_FILE_OPR+NUM(DELIMIT_LEN).
           NUM = NUM + DELIMIT_LEN.
         ENDDO.
         APPEND  IT_FILE_OPR.
       ENDLOOP.

  • Writeback with 'NA'  and decimal values

    Hi All!!!
    We are making some tests on the writeback with the BIBeans; we migrated a db from express to 10gR2 and converted it in
    standard form and we try the writeback on this aw.
    We found some problems when in the worksheet there are one or more 'NA' values to writeback.
    In particular when we call the submitChanges method on the crosstab object (like in the BI sample) if there are one or more
    'NA' values the submitChanges fails and return false.
    We solve this problem implementing the cellSubmitting method and catching the cellSubmittingEvent; in this method we
    substitute the values 'null' for the QDR with an "NA" string.
    We also found that the decimal values (like 180.4) make the writeback to fail; we think it is due to the fact that the
    writeback engine add a '.0' to all the values that we try to writeback so for decimal values we have two character '.'; we
    solve this problem with a support's variable for converting the value to a string and pass it to the set data to the QDR to
    writeback.
    Is this the rigth way?
    Is this a bug?
    Following We report the code we implementing for this method
    public void cellsSubmitting(CellsSubmittingEvent e)
    String app;
    ArrayList qdrCollection = (ArrayList)e.getQDROverrides();
    if (qdrCollection != null)
    int iSize = qdrCollection.size();
    for (int i =0; i < iSize; i++)
    QDRoverride qdrOverride = (QDRoverride)qdrCollection.get(i);
    if(qdrOverride.getData()==null)
    qdrOverride.setData("NA"); //for the problem with 'NA' values
    else
    app=qdrOverride.getData().toString(); //for the problem with decimal values
    qdrOverride.setData(app);
    Hi!
    Daniele De Faveri

    Thanks for your post, it is great solution and it's work for me. I'm supprised that those oversights are still in bibeans and nobody from Oracle havent answered your question.

  • Decimal  values for a field in ALV

    Hi,
    I created an ALV report.
    It has a field which will display the calculated value as '103,839,389'. This should be dispalyed as '103,839,389.00' with decimal value, I mean with 2 decimal places, how can this be achieved?
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    hi check this..
    use these in populating the fieldcat..
    it_fieldcat-decimalsfieldname = fieldname
    it_fieldcat-decimalstabname   = tabname
    it_fieldcat- decimals_out   = 2.

  • Decimal Value for Percentage distribution on Account Assignement in SES

    Dear Experts,
    While creating service entry, the qty should be distributed on percentage basis for Account assignment with decimal value.
    For Example
    Say Service 100% done but value is 10,000..but there is distribution to different cost center say K, L , M, N
    K - 21.25%  - value 2125
    L - 32.70%  - value 3270
    M - 28.93% - value 2893
    N - 17.22%  - value 1722
    So i need to customize decimal values for Percentage distribution for Service entry sheet creation. Please advice me, if you know the solution for this
    Regards
    Saravanan

    Hi
    In Transaction CUNI, as lot is a created Unit of measure wuth no dimensions select No Dimensions & continue
    Now change the decimal places for the Unit from3 to 5.
    In the service entry sheet you will be able to maintain the lot upto 5 decimals....
    But there is again aproblem in that as the standard field Quantity MENGE  has only 3 decimal places allowed, so agian you will encounter a problem.
    So the best method to follow is advise the user to go for a 3 decimal reounding off the work.
    Hope you understand the Problems that arise when decimal places are changed we need to take a lot of things into considertaion before going forward
    Thanks & Regards

  • Webi Report ignores decimal values

    Hi,
    I have a report which takes data from a BI Infocube. I have BOE XI 3.1 installed on two systems. When I run this report on one system, the report works fine and numeric values are displayed along with decimal values ( ex 100.25). However the same report when executed in the other system ignores the decimal values (ex 100).
    I check the preferred viewing locale in the preferences and it is set to default values in both the systems.
    I have no clue what could have gone wrong.
    Any inputs on this issue will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rahul Mainkar

    You are right. No Fix Pack is installed.
    Probably the system, which is NOT truncating the decimal part has been installed on a Windows server where the local system account has EN-US regional settings. This should not be the case for the system which is truncating your numbers.
    A work-around is to create a domain account which is member of the local administrators group on the BOBJ servers. You should log on once on each of your two servers using this account and adjust the Regional Setting (Start->Control Panel) to English-United States. Invoke the CCM utility and open the Properties window of your SIA and Tomcat. Enter the credentials of your new user in  the "Run as"  area and restart your services. This will solve your problem.

  • Working with Time Values

    Hello,
    I am constantly working with time values of the format Minutes:Seconds.Tenths of Seconds. So usually the values look like 2:01.8. I need to average these values, find standard deviations, etc...
    I'm having lots of trouble doing this in Numbers. Any advice?
    Henry

    In any spreadsheet I would suggest working with decimal value representations of the actual data for finding Deviations etc... just make a column that can be hidden after you've gotten your formulas figured out. Base your formulas on those numbers and convert back into your preferred format for the final answers.
    Hope this gives you some ideas,
    Jason

  • Get width/height or layer bounds with decimals values

    is it possible to retrieve size or bounds of objects with decimal values?
    Thank you

    A shape layer or any other layer with a vector mask could have decimal pixel values if you only want the area defined by the mask.
    But if the paths are curved it might be difficult to determine the extreme values.
    The points’ coordinates are easy enough to determine but determining the most high, left etc. expansion of a curve seems difficult to me.
    The only work-around that I know is calculating a number of points along the path and evaluating those.
