CS4: Complex Eastern languages (Arabic, Punjabi, Tamil, Urdu) render incorrectly on Mac?

Hello,
I am currently working on a localizing project.
The project is designed to read XML (in UTF-8) and use the text data to fill the dynamic TextFields placed across the stage.
The SWF shows English, French, and even Chinese with no problem, but when complex Eastern languages are used, (in my case Arabic, Urdo, Punjabi, and Tamil) i nticed that the translated text is rendered differently from how it is written in the XML file when the movie is tested on CS4/ Mac. When I opened the same SWF on CS4/ XP, the text in these languages rendered more closely to how they are written in the XML file.
I showed the screen captures of the SWF in Arabic and Punjabi to a native speakers of the languages and they confirmed that the text rendered on CS4/ Mac was indeed wrong but the one rendered from CS4/ XP was right. Even though I need to confirm with the translators for each languages, I already expect the same thing for other two. The Interesting and important thing here to note is that Flash is showing / using the right fonts for each languages, but the arrangements or location of certain letters are incorrect. Please see the attatched picture (left collumn > Mac).
It tells me that the text rendering capability for complex Eastern languages might be different on Mac from PC.
Are there any ohters out there who experienced the same issue? Is there any solution to this?

With CS6 you have to pay extra for these plugins.
With the CC you can download different ME versions to add their functionality.

Adobe CS5.5 no Middle Eastern English Arabic download

When i go to download Adobe CS6 here Download CS6 products
the Middle Eastern English Arabic is available
but when i want to download Adobe CS5.5 here Download CS5.5 products
the Middle Eastern English Arabic is not available
why its not there and from should i get it ?

Hamood_d10 if you made you purchase from Adobe directly, and choose the download option at the time of purchase, then please see Find a download link on Adobe.com for information on how to download your purchased software.
If you received the software on DVD and your current computer does not have an optical drive then you will want to copy the installation files to a USB drive on a computer which does have a USB drive. You can then install from the USB drive.
Finally if you need to locate your registered serial number please see Find your serial number quickly.

Middle-eastern languages

hi, we are not able to create content in middle-eastern languages.
We download the tutorials. we don't have the options that are shown there.
the Paragraph panel menu does not have "Adobe World-Ready Paragraph Composer" option.

Eastern Language Support

I'm running Win XP pro. I have the iTunes 7.0.2.16 and Eastern language support installed on my computer, but the Japanese, Chinese, and Thai entitled songs and artists on my computers still have little boxes. This only happens in iTunes. My Eastern language support works for everything else. Help please.

It might be that your ID3 tags are not in the right encoding. ConvertZ is a program that might help. Are you able to input the info in the correct script manually?

The switch should be straight forward but I would start by uninstalling LR 5. This is because there is no specific CC version of Lightroom and you can’t run the creative cloud version and the perpetual version on the same machine. Your catalog and images will be safe and will not be affected by uninstalling. CS4 will not be affected and will still work independently.
Then launch CC desktop and go to the Apps tab. I would recommend installing in this order:
Photoshop CC 2014
Photoshop CC (if you need this to run old plug-ins)
Lightroom 5
If you install in that order LR will automatically recognize Photoshop for external editing from the LR Library.

You can get a Mac version for free via download but your license will not work with it. CS licenses are operating system specific, so a Windows license cannot be applied to a Mac, and vice versa. You could install a Windows emulator on the Mac to try to get a Windows version working on it.

InDesign CS4 wrong UI language for non-admin users

Hi!
I work in the IT department of a large company and we have some trouble with our Indesign CS4 installations. We have all the adobe products in our local language (Swedish) and it works perfectly when logging into a computer with admin rights. But the problem is: When a standard user logs in the User Interface is in English instead of Swedish. All our clients have WinXP Pro SP3.
I found this TechNote on the site explaining the problem and what to do about it.

It didn't solve our problem though. I just tried Solution1 and it didn't work, no change at all. Obviosly the 2nd solution works but we can't really give all the users local admin privileges, can we? ^^
Any ideas as to how to solve this?

There were no user-specific "User Interface Locale Setting" keys but I actually did manage to solve this one on my own
The solution was in the key permissions.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\InDesign
If I set the permissions on that key to Everybody --> Full Control it works, it wasn't enough with just the Read permissions...
Doesn't make sense to me but hey, it works ,

Is there a native Swedish Illustrator? Mhh. If so, perhaps setting the default language and install language accordingly might do the trick. Otherwise of course setting those to en_US should at least give you a working English install...
