CS4 Deactivation Denied Error Code: 194:3

I have Illustrator CS4 that I'm trying to deactivate from an old Windows Vista 64-bit computer. I have internet access and all my anti-virus software is up-to-date, but I keep getting "Deactivation Denied" and Error Code: 194:3. I've never deactivated this program before and I've restarted my computer and AI a couple of times with no success. Any suggestions?

Did you try to install from a back up with other software or the actual DVD? Full reformat of all your hard drives should have left nothing on the hard drives. You only installed the software one time meaning that you still have one install remaining.

For the record I've only previously deactivated this particular piece of software once in the past, and this is the only machine that it's installed on. I have the same error when exporting a keynote presentation with audio or vidoefiles embedded.
The lock & record workaround did not solve the problem.
So I rejected all the audiofiles, and exported the "mute" presentation.
I imported the m4v into a video edt software and combined it with the audiofiles.
A lousy workaround, but it seems to be the only solution for now.
Hopefully apple will solve this export error

Ok, I don't know if I should make it public and it pains me that I had to stoop so low to get my apps working, but there are other people with this problem, so I guess I should post how this issue got resolved.
I'm angry at myself for trying to settle it the legal way asking the customer support one after another for more than a month. Some of the staff were really kind and if nothing, I learned some new things, but they were downright useless because phone activation is probably some kind of taboo or what. They would persistently force me to unistall the CS3 and install to no end, even though I told them that I had formatted my harddrive and run a different OS...
Whatever, long story short, the only known solution to this problem is to download a keygen and activate the CS3 with it through phone activation. The only problem is that you don't have the serial number you purchased in the application itself, but don't waste your time trying to be all good asking the support questions they don't know or are forbidden to answer.
I still would like to report somewhere that I'm using an illegal serial number due to those circumstances and post the Software Licence Certificate I received upon purchasing the CS3 somewhere, so that nobody comes to bother me about that in the future, does anybody know how to do it?
Last note: I'm really curious how the Adobe wants to manage the CC versions when they have to go through this kind of activation every month or so. I'm glad I bought the boxed versions.

I get this code every time I try to activate my copy of Photoshop cs3. What does it mean?

Nobody knows the real meaning of these codes. It's all super-secret stuff. I recommend you call phone support and have your serial verified. Maybe it's blacklisted, maybe you have forgotten to disable an activation on another system, maybe one of the other 5 million things is gone wrong with your license. Also simply try to uninstall everything Adobe, use the CS3 clean Script and re-install...

De-activation denied : Error 194.1

Last Friday I set out to re-install Windows from scratch as it had become bloated with many changes over an 18 month period. This included updating from Premiere CS2/Matrox RTX100 to Premiere CS4/RTX2. I also had Premiere CS4 installed on my laptop.
To avoid problems I tried to de-activate my out-going Premiere installation. This was repeatedly refused, with the message “De-activation denied” coupled with error code 194.1. I tried with my laptop and got the same message. I though it might be a temporary glitch so left it a while then tried again several times, with identical results.
An internet search revealed that I was not alone, and that Adobe themselves seem to be unaware of the problem:

though I was nowhere near that limit. My two remaining CS2 programs both de-activated straight away, as they had on a number of occasions in the past.
I knew that in the past I had done re-installs of the CS2 products without de-activating first, even when there were wholesale changes in my computer system, e.g. new motherboard, etc. So, in the event, I formatted the partition, and went ahead with the re-install hoping all would be well. It seemed to be; Premiere installed and was activated unobtrusively as usual. On Saturday morning, I set out to do some editing, and was almost immediately confronted with a warning that I had exceeded my activation quota of two installations of Premiere, and that I had 29 days to contact Adobe and purchase an additional licence.
A further search of the internet uncovered a post from someone who had experienced just this scenario, and they had discovered that once you had three active installations, you could de-activate with no problem. The problem occurs only with the permitted two activations. I tried with my laptop, and sure enough de-activation came through within seconds, as it did with my new desktop installation.
I slept on the problem and this morning re-activated both desktop and laptop, and then installed an image of my old desktop installation on a new partition on the desktop. This was then de-activated without problem, so I removed its partition and now all appears to be well (touches wood).
I can readily understand publishers such as Adobe resorting to measures such as activation, and imposing a limit of two installations is more generous than most, though I prefer the Procoder USB dongle. Denying de-activation seems to me to be sheer lunacy. It also leads to the question of what would happen if Adobe were to go bust? Alternatively they might hand over activation to a third party company as Canopus did with Procoder Express when they ceased to support it, potentially increasing the risk.
It is easy to avoid the activation problem if you are so inclined – simply visit one of the many dodgy internet sites, and away you go. Annoying your long term customers seems foolhardy – I have been using Premiere for a decade now, and over that period I have purchased something like 5 full versions of their products and many more upgrades.

Very recently, there have been several other, similar reports. Do not recall the exact version numbers involved.
I would contact Adobe TS and discuss this with them. Only contact that I have had was very quick, and resolution within 5 mins. Now, TS was in California then, so YMMV.
Good luck, and please report. If I run across some of those other threads, I'll link them to your post. Maybe with people in several Adobe fora looking into this, there will be resolution outside of Adobe TS.

When opening up CS4 I receive Error Code 150:30, what is this??

If you upgrade your OS (most likely OSX) or recover Photoshop from backup, this breaks licensing.
The simplest advice is to reinstall CS4 from your discs.
If this is a problem, please get back to me.

Access denied error while trying to install graphics drivers

I have a new toshiba laptop P70-A. I have installed windows 7 and the pc was working excellent up until now. Noticed yesterday that the nvidia automated system failed to install the new update. When I tried to install the new driver manually, even from the
device manager, I got the access denied message.
A day now wasted reading all the possible causes and solutions but with no luck. Read all the forums and all the posts, tried almost everything. Below youll find everything I tried as a solution and failed.
1.Disabled UAC
2.Enabled the administrator account and trying to take control from there
3.Run the subinacl and the reset.cmd
4.Tried manually to take control the folder windows (and access denied while changing the rights)
5. Scanned the system with everything there is available ( Kaspersky, MalwareBytes, RegCurePro, Tuneup Utilities, CCleaner) The system came out clean.
6. Tried restoring the system to an earlier time (got again access denied error code 0x80070005)
7. Checked all the group policies (all seem to be fine)
8. Run a script to take immediate ownership over all of C:

Thanks for the replies, i much appreciate it. I tried all of the above with no luck again. Safe mode allows me though to install drivers but thats reverting the moment im entering windows. Im always running commands and programs as a administrator or in
the Admin enabled account.
It seems the problem is solved today. Via tune up utilities I disabled most of the startup programs and services and it seems that 1 service is causing this issue. Although I havent played much with the disabled services but 3 remain to be checked. One of
the three is causing this.

Getting error code 150:30 after transferring data from iMac to iMac

Hm, it looks like the file might be open in another application. If you see that file accesss is intermittently denied, you should try disabling the Microsoft FindFast utility.
