CS4: Desprately needing help-Box that appears in Indesign doesn't appear in exported PDF.

I put a box, which will be a frame around illustrations, in the master of this small book so that each illustration will be framed. The frame is colored. It looks great on the .indd file, but on the PDF, the frame is gone. I did it again, this time making the frame bigger (1 pt instead of .5 pt), and 100% color instead of 50%. Still didn't show. What's wrong? Of course I'm noticing this when I'm under a deadline and the printer is waiting. Yikes.

Richard: the master where I created the box doesn't have any other layers. But you gave me an idea. I made a bigger box on the master and by golly, there the box was on the PDF. I guess the illustrations on the book pages were covering the box, which was really only on the master. The bigger box looks OK, although I'd like it smaller; it'll work. Thanks!

I doubt it Doc Maik, but I am certainly happy to learn The image is this one (and a similar one). They would be beautiful portraits if not for the "extra mouth". The grey edge that I would like to remove is the excess of (grey) mouth that is actually my horse's chin, but that in the pictures looks like a wider, looping mouth. Practically, looking at the picture, the "extra mouth" to the left. What I would love it to be able correct that to look like a normal mouth, which means that half of the protruding edge should be removed. I am not sure I was able to explain myself, but here is one of the two pictures. I thank you for you kindness in being available to advise me.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

Using MS access 9.0.2720 visual basic proceedure to call Adobe reader to open a specific flle from a folder on my c drive.
useing the shell command , shellexecute is not available in the version I'm using.
I can call the Reader with this code: call shell "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" and it will open reader, but
I can't seem to get it to open a specific PDF file, I tried

How to eject a dvd that is stuck and doesn't appear on desktop?

I did insert a dvd a few days ago and now it doesn't appear anywhere and I can not eject it. But when I turn on the computer the disc drive makes strange sounds. How can I eject it?

Disc drive making noises is not good. Even standard media rejection tricks such as holding down the mouse button which restarting the computer might not cause it to eject if the drive is mechanically malfunctioning. You may have to look into getting the drive replaced and have whoever does it try to rescue to disc.

Ipod appears in Windows, doesn't appear in itunes

My ipod appears in windows--i have it in disk mode so I can find it in my computer. However, it doesn't appear in the ipod updater or in itunes. I've tried resetting it, and i have the latest itunes and updates. What should I do? My brother's ipod is also having the same problem. We don't have any of those weird icons when we start up our ipods--no sad face or folder w/ the ! sign. Both our ipods worked fine until we updated itunes.

CS4 Buttons - need help

I have a question....I saw on a website once (I wish I could
remember which site it was), flash buttons that were creatively
animated.
The button would appear just as text, but when you hovered
over it, an image would rise from behind it, then, when you moused
off, the image would go back down.
It did this for each of the buttons and I cannot figure out
how to get that to work, especially since in CS4 with AS3 you
cannot use AS on a button.
It's also really difficult to add a motion preset to a
button....can anyone help?
I've looked for tutorials on how to add a motion
script/preset to a button however, I'm not finding anything at all.
Am I making this more complicated than it needs to be?
Should I put the button inside a movie clip and animate it
that way? I'm not sure if that will work since I am trying to make
an image appear behind the button when it's in it's OVER state.
Is there an easier way for me to do this?

Whatever you do will require a movieclip playing a role
somewhere along the line. For the scenario you described where the
image slides out and back in, it is more likely entirely a
movieclip.
What you want to do is create a movieclip that has mouse
event listeners that cause it to go to different frames for the
different states of the 'button'. So in frame 1 you would have the
'button' in its normal state, and a rollover could send it to frame
2 where you have an animation movieclip play. Then, when you roll
out you send it to another frame containing the reverse animation
which sends it back to frame 1 as its last action.
I thought I best add that the 'button' is the movieclip
itself, there is no real button involved.

*Flash CS4* I need help...

OK, so...I tried to download a trial of Flash CS4 on my parent's laptop. I got as far as saving the AkamaiDownloadManagerInstaller to the computer's desktop, but when I click on the link (or whatever) it says "a program needs your permission to continue." I clicked "Continue," and it shows a loading bar for just a split second, but then goes away. Uh...I don't know much about computers, so please try to use *small words* when telling me what to do. My parents have a Toshiba Windows 7 (I think) Laptop.

i recently downloaded trails of flash cs4 and web premium package cs4 (took a day to download at high speed starbuck's internet). couldnt get the setup.exe to work or the uninstaller to work. surfing tech support over next couple weeks to try various agents was useless and expensive until i finally reached someone with useful info. all the agents had foriegn accents and read from scripts and web support pages until yesterday, when i reached a guy who told me two things i'll report to various forums addressing this same issue:
1. download windows uninstaller program from their website (google: windows ininstaller). this program is different from the one that doesnt work in the programs and features area of control panel when you try to uninstall adobe products from there.
2. windows explorer 8, the newest version, DOES NOT download adobe softare properly and leaves things out, causing all sorts of issues including the setup.exe program not working. download firefox browser from mozella (google: firefox) and use it for all adobe downloads. apparently the old windows explorer 7 will work, but if you already have explorer 8 installed its easiest to just use firefox.
i'm spending the next couple days downloading the 4.14 G web premium trail with firefox and will report if this works.

Need help installing apps onto iPad 2 (all apps appear as "waiting" ever since iOS 5.1)

Ever since I updated to ios 5.1 on my iPad 2, I've been experiencing a lot of difficulty in downloading and installing apps without the aid of my computer's iTunes. Every app that I've downloaded since the update has gotten stuck on waiting. Also, when I tap and hold apps (to sort and delete), I get the option to delete the waiting apps (it even warns me that I will delete all of its data off my iPad. What data?). Sometimes they show the icon, sometimes they just show white. Usually I get the icon after I reset, but still waiting. This also applies for any updates. What I have done to try to fix this:
-reset the iPad
-delete the waiting app and try installing it again
-check my Internet connection
-sign out and sign back in with my apple ID
-tap the waiting app to try to start it
-install only one app at a time
****I am well aware that I can sync to iTunes, so please do not tell me to do this. It does install the apps when I sync it to iTunes, but it's also very inconvenient to do every time, especially because I have so many apps (13 gb to be precise) and I'm usually away from my computer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did some additional checkin' ; the same behavior applies when powering off ...
when starting up again after few secs it normally starts up (approx 20 secs). When starting up after approx an hour it takes about 2-3 minutes to respond ... weird ...
anyone ideas ?
