CS4 DV capture timecode keeps adding

I have weird problem with DV capture. During the capture, timecode display is normal - it shows exactly the same timecode as in tape.
But after a clip is captured, the timecode in the clip is like added each time.
Lets say that I record full tapes 01:30:00:00 lenght all the time.
But when I capture, the timecode of clips starts are following:
First tape: 00:00:00:00
Second : 01:30:00:00
Third: 03:00:00:00
Fourth: 04:30:00:00 and so on

timecode becomes part of the "filename" . If you capture tape 2 and dont give it a specific filename ( like " tape 2 " ) then the program doesnt want to overwrite already existing files that were captured...because the timecode IS YOUR FILENAME in a sense.
Do you think that might be happening with regard to the way you are naming your tapes when you capture them?

Dreamweaver CS4 keeps adding tr to my code..

I have Dreamweaver CS4 Version 10.0 build 4117. I am coding with ColdFusion and Dreamweaver keeps adding errant <tr > tags to my code. I have even identified this in 3 different files at the exact line in which it adds the <tr > tag. WTF?
Can someone at adobe fix this?

Usually that type of thing happens when you have an error somewhere in your html that DW is trying to correct for you.
Run your page in the validator at http://validator.w3.org to see if you're missing something that DW is trying to fix.
You may also want to check your settings under Edit > Preferences > Code Rewriting > uncheck invalidly nested and unclosed tags

Batch Capture : Timecode Error?

So I am attempting to capture my first video onto FCP from my Canon XL. I have about 5 minutes of video and I have logged the info for each clip. They are all in my "Bin 1" and it is set as a "logging bin." The first logged clip that i want it to capture i have marked the "In Point" at 00:00:00;00 and the "Out Point" at around 00:01:09;24. The rest of my 11 clips just go in order (i.e. 2nd clip: In = 00:01:09;25 etc...). After doing all of this I click on "Batch" under the "Capture" option, a big black screen pops up over my FCP with the capture info underneath the black screen in a gray strip. My camera then rewinds to the beginning and STOPS. I then have to sit and wait for anythin to happen, my camera still saying "STOP," and then a message pops up reading the following:
Batch Capture: Timecode Error: Unable to locate the specified timecode. You may have specified a timecode with insufficient room for a pre/post roll operation.
I have no idea what this means and I am beginning to get impatient with capturing my video. In the Log and Capture window, the tab that says Logging, i did not mess with the "Markers." I don't know if this matters.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated so that I can start editing my project with this wonderful software otherwise.

In standard trim, FCP needs at least 5 seconds preroll before capturing. The preroll is so the tape can get up to speed, the heads read timecode accurately and so on. You have discovered what happens when you give it no oppertunity to sort itself out.
The simple answer for your current situation is to set your first in point 10 seconds after the start of the time code. Be sure to make sure your last clip's OUT point is 10 seconds or more before the end of time code or you can have problems at that end of the capture as well.
The long term answer is next time let the camera run for a minute or two before you start recording anything you will want to keep. The same is true for the end of the tape - let it run for another half minute or so.

Dear Adobe,
It's great you keep adding shiny new "newsworthy" features ... but what about fixing long-standing bugs/issues and addressing the basics that have been missing since the the beginning?
WHAT ABOUT LEAVING PASTED CLIPS SELECTED after a Paste operation in the Timeline?!? Like every other app in the world?
What about leaving a complex selection of clips intact after an UNDO operation? (This costs me hundreds of minutes a week.) Like every other app in the world?
What about allowing "." as an abbreviation for "00" when entering timecode?
What about letting the renaming of a clip in a bin be reflected in timelines?
What about a "reduce project" option? (To remove all items not used by selected sequences, like Ae.)
What about actually useful clip labels (colors) which link between timeline items and their respective clips in the bin? (Like Avid & FCP) So we can mark certain clips a certain color in a bin and have that color be reflected in timelines?
What about being able to close the title tool with a shortcut, not just a tiny 4x4 button?
What about fixing the title tool so it's kerning/leading shortcuts are NOT the exact opposite of EVERY OTHER CC application?
What about a simple "Select Media Relatives" command, like in FCP and Avid?
What about fixing the audio scrub toggle shortcut so that it works without having to play or use the mouse?
What about a shortcut for "Reveal in Finder" from the Timeline? It's in the context menu -- why no shortcut?

I am curious about the time you waste ...and wonder what and why you are doing it... that causes this loss of efficiency.

Visual Studio keeps adding SharePoint features when opening a solution

Hello everybody.
I'm facing a rather naughty problem. In a Windows 2012 environment (hosted inside an Azure virtual machine), with SharePoint installed, I created a VS SharePoint on-premise solution. I added a feature, and started adding lists, libraries, site columns, layout
pages and such. At one point, every time I added a new list definition, the VS would create me a new feature. Which is not what I wanted, so I manually deleted the new feature and added the list to the first feature. No matter how much I try, VS keeps adding
features instead of using the one I already got.
But that's a minor problem. After a while of adding lists, I did a check in to my TFS and closed the VS. After a couple of days, I open the VS again, and without a warning VS checked out the solution, checked out my only feature, removed the lists from it
and created one feature for each library. I ended up with feature2.feature, feature3.feature, ..., feature50.feature files!!! Insane!!! I had to manually delete them and re-add them to my first feature.
Now I can't turn VS off without having this mess all over again. Why on Earth would somebody program VS to do this? Is there any way to turn this behaviour off?

Or you could try to download a new sharepoint template in this VS2013 and then create it check if you still get the issue.
I suggest you could try to create a same sharepoint project template from VS2013 on another machine and then check this issue again.

Expression question: keep adding to value

Hi!
I want to animate the cameras z-position based on an audio track. I have converted the audio to keyframes, but now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to feed the audio peak values to the cameras z-position so that they keep adding to each other.
Simply linking the camera z-position to the keyframe data will make the camera fly back and forth, but I need it to keep going forward in a pulsating motion. So when there is a peak in the audio amplitude, the camera moves more rapidly forward and when there is a flat waveform the camera stays put or moves only slightly.
Is this possible to do?

This Position expression should work. Adjust mult to set the sensitivity (how much it moves in response to the audio) and minVal to set how much it moves when there is no audio.

The files in download folder keeps adding _b to the file name

I have a strange problem when downloading files on my Macbook Pro(running Mavericks). The name of the files being downloaded or already downloaded to the Download folder keep growing like this:
Say for a file called My_file_name.zip, the system keeps adding _b to the name, it becomes
My_file_name_b_b_b_b...._b.zip.
And for big files, frequently I get the error message saying the file could not be downloaded due because there is no enough disk space. However the file is infact downloaded. I just need to highlight the .download and select Show Package Content, and copy the real file out of it. Howerer this is very annoying.
This problems seems only happens when download files to the default Downoad folder. When downloading to other user selected folders, everything works fine, Please help if you know how to fix this issue.

Help with Batch Capturing, Timecode Issues?

Hi Final Cut Pro Pro's. I've just come over from Avid.
I have a problem with capturing - I have a lot of tapes to capture and there is no way I will make deadline doing it by individual capture - I need to batch capture. My tape shows no timecode breaks and I have already spent hours logging all the various clips. It shows it has registered all of the media start/end timecodes, but when I click on batch capture, it says
BATCH CAPTURE: TIMECODE ERROR: UNABLE TO LOCATE THE SPECIFIED TIMECODE. YOU MAY HAVE SPECIFIED A TIMECODE WITH INSUFFICIENT ROOM FOR A PRE/POST ROLL OPERATION.
I don't understand as there is clearly a functioning timecode? This is going to break my balls if I have to go through this individually, no time! Anyone? Any ideas?

I'm capturing from the camera directly, a Sony DSR-250...
It turns out that yes, if you have marked the in/out point too close to the head or the tail of the tape, or even if you have marked it okay and are currently at the start/end of tape when pressing on batch capture it cannot send the command to the device. If you move forward or backward accordingly by five or six seconds it doesn't come up anymore.

Apps keep adding themselves back onto icloud backup

Really annoying problem because ill get emails from icloud saying the backup is almost full , upon checking the backup page and what apps are backed up . I keep finding that my winzip app , adobe reader, and another app keep adding themselves back onto the list despite me constantly selecting them off. The third app collects some 800 mb of data but none of it is needed to be backed up since its all profiles and stuff.
Any solutions?

Apps are NEVER backed up to iCloud. Neither is Music or Videos. So Apps are not what is taking up your iCloud storage.
Apps, music and videos don't need to be backed up, because they can be downloaded again any time they are needed.

ICloud/iMatch keeps adding duplicates to my iTunes music folder? What's going on? What am I doing wrong?

Every time I open iTunes, iMatch keeps adding duplicates for some -- not all -- of the files in my music folder. Each gets a little cloud-with-exclamation-point next to the duplicate. If I manually remove them, they pop up again the next time I open iTunes. The actual files are not duplicated in my local music folders.
What am I doing wrong? Could it be related to the Error 50 message (Cannot save library) I get sometimes. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, which stopped that message for a few weeks, but now it's reappearing after I manually deleted all the duplicates.
This is driving me crazy.

Connected ipad?
Went to the music tab?
Selected sync music and selected the music to sync?
Synced?

IPad keeps adding numbers to account

I share the iCloud with my family members. There are 5 of us. One iPad keeps adding phone numbers and email addresses that I unclick again and again (so as not to receive the various messages/facetime calls of different iphones/ipads from this device) from iCloud account to the iMessages and Facetime. Why does it not seem to get the message that i DON'T want that device to be able to receive and send messages from the different numbers? PLEASE HELP

Thanks for the reply - the problem isn't with ACR itself but the new Camera Raw filter available in photoshop CC 2014 in the filters selection, this doesn't seem to include the workflow options that you get at the bottom of the normal ACR window- it's a really handy filter for quick final adjustments but on my Macbook keeps adding sharpening even when the sliders are at zero. Is there a workflow option menu for this filter ? Something strange going on somewhere- thanks again for the reply , Tom

1. Go to iCal > Quit iCal
2. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
--- NOTE: To get to "Home > Library" in Lion: Click anywhere on the desktop and then click on the "Go" menu at the top of the computer screen while holding down the "option" key on the keyboard. You will see "Library" in the menu.
--- NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
3. Launch iCal and test.

Importing Audiobooks from CDs - keeps adding as music CDs

I am trying to add some audiobooks that I have on CD to iTunes, it keeps adding them as music cds rather than as audiobooks, does anyone know how I can get them to import as audiobooks? Is there a setting that I need to change or anything like that?
