CS4 Encoder can't find source file

Hello - I recently deleted a number of temporary files on my C: drive in order to free up space.  I then tried to export from CS4 to Encoder and it now says that it can't find the source file.  I have tried sending the exported file to a number of locations and I get the same response.
I've noticed some people on other threads having a source problem with Encoder.  Mine definitely started after I deleted some files (although I don't remember seeing anything that had an Adobe tag on it).  Before this, it worked perfectly.  I'm hoping to avoid a re-intstall.  Below is a sample error message.  Thanks, Jason

Thanks, Jeff.  I reopened CS4 and tried to export media again.  I'm exporting media to my V: drive, basically my dedicated video media drive.  It still can't find the source.  I also tried to shift the media cache drives over to the V: drive, as this has the most memory on the computer.  I guess I'm partly confused as to why it says that the source is on the C: temp drive, when I'm telling it to export somewhere else.

  • Can't find source file for newsservice.NewsServiceProxy in JMS Web Service

i can't find the source file for newsservice.NewsServiceProxy in JMS Web Service. The
newsservice.NewsServiceProxy is required for client to post news to server and received news from server. But
i can't find where the file located in the newsservices.jar provided in that tutorial.
Someone please help me to located it. thank you :)

    Hi,
You will have to generate this file. The steps to generate this file has been provided in the Install file present under NewsService/doc/Install.html (once newsservice.jar is extracted) - Running the NewsService client application section - Step 1.
Follow the instructions, and you will be able to download the zip/jar file which contains newsservice.NewsServiceProxy within it.

  • JDeveloper 10g 10.1.3 Unable to Find Source File (SQLJ)

I live and die using the debugger. I have never seen this happen before. I have a .sqlj file I compile with the other code for a particular application. JDeveloper has always been able to step into the .sqlj code before. However, I have kept the JDeveloper code up-to-date and applied a bunch of new updates today. In fact, before I compiled the latest version of the code, I was able to stop through the .sqlj file. Now I have recompiled it and as I attempt to step through the code defined in the .sqlj file, I keep seeing the "Unable to Find Source File" dialog. If I point it to the .sqlj file it shows me the line I would expect to be at, but as soon as I take snother "step" through the code, I am thrown out of the source and back to where I attempt to step into it from. If I keep try to step through the code and keep telling it where the code is I can actual step throught the code. But that's a huge pain, and it won't advance to the next breakpoint in the .sqlj code.
I have always been able to debug SQLJ files without problem until today.

    Hello!
the jar files are under WEB-INF/lib
how do I compile the files to include the debug info? All the files are compiled when you run or debug your app right? or am I missing something?
Thanks a bunch for your time!

  • Unable to find source file

I had a error message "Unable to Find Source File" when I used JDeveloper debugger.
The debugger has finished stepping, but it cannot find the source file.
Unable to find source file for package oracle.e1.bssv....
Project xxxxxx.jpr has already been searched
    * Look for the file in Project
    * Let me find the file myself with the open file dialog
    * Don't ask me about this file again
The above 3 options are available
I checked and found previous posting for use 'Step Over' to bypass this problem. I tried and it did not work either.
Please let me know if anybody has similar problem and know the solution. Thanks
    JDeveloper 10.1.3.4.0

You see this dialog because you stepped into a statement which requires source code which is not part of your project (or you don't have). If you have the sources you can browse for them, if you don't have them answer the dialog with the third option.
You should try 'step out' instead of step over. Once you see this message it's to late to step over the statement (pointing to source you don't have available). You may need to set out a couple of times to get back to code you have sources from.

  • How do I find source files for a specific sound...

This problem has plagued me through many version of GB. Basically, my roommate creates the garageband files, selects the instruments etc. Invariably when he gives me a copy of the Garageband file GB seems to swap in the instruments for some other instrument without ever alerting me that it's doing it. Basically, nothing sounds the same. We've both done clean installs, installed the same Jampacks. it says the same instruments but sometimes it will swap an organ sound for a string or something not even close.
In Itunes, there's a way to (command-R I believe) find the source file - is there a way to do that in GB? My roommate's computer has an instrument called Piano and Strings - we can't find any file with that name and for some reason no matter what I do I can't access that sound. We're both on MacPros. Recently I alone upgraded to Snow Leopard, but this problem has gone on for years.
What I'd like to do is sort of block GB from swapping in instruments without notifying me, or allowing me to know what those missing sounds are and some way of finding them so a GB file will play roughly the same (obviously acoustics or speakers will differ).
thanks so much for any refs or suggestions.

Tell him which instruments you have and limit him to those. Keep everything to a subset of instruments that you both have.
Are you adding to the tracks or just listening? If just listening he can just export to iTunes.

  • Library is there but after update to 7.3, can't find source path to songs.

Still shows library in itunes, but after updating to 7.3 most of my library now can't find source to song location on hard drive. If I reload the file it doubles each song......................! Too many to delete!!!

  • [SOLVED]libxml2 xmlParseFile can't find my file.

I have successfully used libxml2 to create and save an XML file to disk. I can check it in leafpad. When I try to load it back in using xmlParseFile(filename) it spits out an error saying it can't find the file.
    Here is my code:
    doc = xmlParseFile("distancePrime.xml");
    and here is the error:
I/O error : No such file or directory
distancePrime.xml:1: parser error : Document is empty
    ^
distancePrime.xml:1: parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found
    ^
    Segmentation fault
The file is definately there as the same program saved it, and it definately has a start tag. I have tried using an absolute path aswell, but that doesn't work either.
Does anyone know what the problem is?
I can post the xml file if you want, or the full code (Don't think its necerssary as the problem seems to be isolated to this function)
    Thanks all!

I'm pretty sure it's correct. I really can't put my finger on this at all.

  • Can't find the file ?php echo $editFormAction; ? in XAMPP

I used the insert record function in CS4 on a page I'm working on.  I'm running XAMPP in win XP.
Whenever I load the page into firefox, fill out the forms with random data, and click the submit button, I get the following error:
    can't find the file at /C:/xampp/htdocs/MySite.com/<?php echo $editFormAction; ?>
I have been trying to research this a bit myself, and I think the problem may simply be that the editFormAction script is not in the root folder of my site.  But I am not sure where it is, and so, what to change the reference to.
Or perhaps I'm completely wrong about this???
    Please Help Me!!

Well, I have to chuckle a bit because the article on how to set up a php testing server that you wrote is the exact one I read to set up my testing server!  It is very well written and probably the most helpful and straight foreward article on setting up dreamweaver with XAMPP on the web.  I followed all of the instructions exactly, so I imagine the problem must be elsewhere?  It's pointing to the C drive because that's where XAMPP is installed.  This is how is it supposed to be setup, correct?  Apache and MySQL are running, or at least it says so on the XAMPP control panel.
Also, I apologize for not posting this in the right forum.  That was my first post on the adobe boards and I didn't really consider inserting records to a database to be an "application."  So thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
for those who want to see my code, here it is.  Except for the exact names of the fields, it's exactly what dreamweaver creates when youc click on the "insert record" button in the insert menu.  I don't see any option for pasting the code as "code" like in most code devolpoer forums.  I know some poeple get upset if you paste code without doing it right, so I hope I'm not making anybody mad.
the following is inserted in the head:
    <?php require_once('Connections/GiftListConnection.php'); ?>

BTW, this is Inkexit posting.  For some reason when I logged in this morning, I was made to pick a new screenname, as inkexit was already in use.  But I knew that though, as I was the one using it, lol.  Kinda bizzarre.  Perhaps the Mods should know about this?

  • Can't Find .pdb File

I loaded a pdb file book onto my palm tungsten E2, and it said  it loaded/synced fine. It shows on my palm that it is taking up memory. But I can't find this file on my palm, I have gone thru every program on the main page. Can anyone tell me what I should do?
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

You must install the appropriate ebook reader application for the file to be read. There are a number of different ebook readers, each using different formatting. suggest you review the dowload source to see what format you downloaded and then get the right application.

  • Help:Can not find the file in jar!

    Hello everyone:
I build a project using Netbeans 5.0 and make a jar file with it...
The code in the project as follows will throw an exception described that it can not find the file named datasource-config.xml
    String dataFilePath = getClass().getResource(dataFile).getPath();
    //System.out.println("filepath:"+dataFilePath);
    InputStream input = new FileInputStream(dataFilePath);
when I run the project with the main() function as an entry it works perfectly and output:
    filepath:/C:/projects/java_project/search/build/classes/com/cn/wxjt/lucene/config/datasource-config.xml
But when I compressed the project with jar and run it , it will show:
    filepath:file:/C:/projects/java_project/search/dist/search.jar!/com/cn/wxjt/lucene/config/datasource-config.xml
    there is a (!) between search.jar and /com/cn/wxjt...
I dont know why I generate a ! symbol in the file path... Is it cause the exception->
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: file:\C:\projects\java_project\search\dist\search.jar!\com\cn\wxjt\lucene\config\datasource-config.xml
If you have any idea, plz tell me.
Thank you and best wishes to you !
    :)

  • Move all my music to another folder but Itunes can't find the files!

I have all my music on my desktop in small folders for each artist.
But now i don't have room anymore, because i have to much music.
So i want to move it all in to a folder called "Music". But when i do that
Itunes can't find the files, and i have to search for each file, to find the new location instead of the desktop. How do i move my music more easily? So i don't have to synchronize it all in again, with the right album covers and that..
    Please, need some help here!

You need to open your preferences file in iTunes and click on advance then select the location of where you put the folder.  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

  • I cant access firefox, everytime i try i get that windows can't find the file, i tried redownloading it but it still gave me the same message?

i cant access firefox, everytime i try i get that windows can't find the file, i tried downloading it again but it still gave me the same message. the problem has nothign to do with my internet because it wonks on internet explorer and everythign is fine, my computer just can't access firefox for some reason. i tried uninstallign ti adn then installing it again, but that didnt work, i tried installing a different version and it still didnt work.
okay the exact message is" Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files\Mozilla Forefox 4.0 Beta 1\firefox.exe'. make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.
Nothing happens after i install is the "Launch Firefox now" checkbox set, the same message comes up.
i usually start firefox from the shortcut i have on my desktop but when this happened i thought that the shortcut is the problem, but i went to the Mozilla firefox folder and tried it from there, but it didnt work. i also tried downloading different versions of firefox but that didnt work either.

can you tell me the solution to "windows cant find firefox" error. thanks.

  • Had to uninstall Firefox, now I can't reinstall. Get error message "Can not find archive file." Please help!

I believe I had some kind of virus attack. I got everything cleaned up. (I HOPE) In the process of cleaning the virus, I unintalled Firefox because it wouldn't open. Kept getting the error message that Firefox was already open and I had to close out of the sessions or restart the computer. After restarting the computer several times and not being able to find any open sessions in task manager, I uninstalled. When trying to reinstall, I get the error message "can not find archive file." I've tried downloading Firefox from cnet as well as the Mozilla site to no avail. Please help. I'm getting tired of using Chrome already!

    Hello,
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!
    Thank you.

  • Firefox can't find the file at (a location is specified) when either "Navigate previous" (and next) buttons are pressed in an HTML5 skin (but OK in IE/Chrome).

I create HTML5 help projects from a package called MadCap Flare. It uses what they call an HTML5 'skin' that sets the style/layout of the page and also includes 'Navigate previous' and 'Navigate next' buttons. When viewing the help and pressing these navigate buttons in IE8 or Chrome 32 there is no problem, but in Firefox 27 I get the following: (typical error for pressing a button on any page)
    "File not found"
    "Firefox can't find the file at /C:/SVN/FlareEnglishOnLineHelp/Output/HTML5_Help_Modeller_Reference/4attrib/idh_jointinterface_element_meshes.htm?TocPath=Modeller Reference Manual|Chapter 5 : Model Attributes|Meshing|_____2."
" Check the file name for capitalisation or other typing errors."
" Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted."
    - Because the files and buttons work in other browsers I'm wondering just what is going on here with Firefox>>>>

I should correct that last entry and state that the | charactacters are generated automatically in the Toc-Path for each 'book' name in the online help, and are not something manually created, whereas the : characters have come from the TOC book topic names (which were manually entered names and are what we would ideally require). But, because 'previous' and 'next' topics within nested TOC books without colon (:) characters CAN be browsed successfully when just | characters are present in the Toc-Path, the limitation would appear to be solely due to the : characters.
