CS4 Encore Vista Not Working

I just got a bunch of Windows updates automatically installed.
Now I cannot make large video DVD.
Encoding Error comes up every time I put a 1 hour on a DVD.
I can make a 5 minute DVD.

Do these ideas help?

Did EncoreCS6 work at one time, or is this a new install and it has never worked? If it worked before... what changed?

What is your exact brand/model graphics adapter (ATI or nVidia or ???)
What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
For Windows, do NOT rely on Windows Update to have current driver information
-you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself

Iweb + dreamweaver CS4 + dropdown menu not working on all pc's

I created a dropdown-menu on CS4 DW, pasted it in html doc. and is part of my iWeb created site.
Looks ok on apple: safari/firefox/iphone.. but on any pc does not matter which browser, it looks awfull, and the jumpmenu simply is not working.. what can I do to correct this?

By jumpmenu are you referring to the navbar at the top? It's well known that IE is not friendly with iWeb's navbar. The workaround for that is to create your own Text Based Navbar.
As far as the drop down menu, is it java based or html based? I'm not familiar with what does an does not work with IE as I don't do windows so can't help you anymore there.

HELP! CS4 Disk Will Not Work!

Hello All,
I need some serious help, Adobe support is closed today and I need CS4 to install. Here is my situation, I recently bought my imac along with cs4 and everything was working perfectly. On Saturday like an idiot, I tried to add PS to my dock and I accidentally moved my whole PS folder off of my HD. I put the folder back into my HD applications folder, but then when I tried opening an existing PS file, I received a message to reinstall PS. I put in my CS4 disk, click setup, put in my password, see the bouncing icon on my doc and then it just disappears, nothing happens. I uninstalled CS4 totally, even did the clean uninstall thing from Adobe, restored my OS and still nothing! I have been reading the forums and tried everything I read, I deleted the Library/Application Support/Adobe folder, I even deleted the Adobe folder within my Logs folder.
Here is the error I am receiving: "'std::runtime_error' Invalid path passed to FileSystemPath constructor".
Why can't I insert the disk and it work like it did when I first bought the disk! I am so frustrated!

Could you describe what you have tried?
To make sure you are copying the old sessionstore.js file to your currently active Firefox profile folder, you can open that folder from inside Firefox as follows (either):
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button
Please note that before touching the existing sessionstore.js file, you should exit Firefox and allow time for it to close files. Either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
* File menu > Exit
Then rename it to sessionstore.old before copying in the file you want to use.

Cs4 - hardware rendering not working

The checkbox is LOCKED and set to software render by default!
I have updated to Bridge CS4 and now the slideshow and dinamic zoom are not working smoothly as on CS3.
How can I set the checkbox to Hardware?

- Bridge cs3 = Hardware Render = impressive response time. [way beyond 30fps]

- Bridge cs4 = Software Render = 2 or maybe 3fps (!!!) Its a huge diference!
Come on Adobe, a loot of computers are/will be shipping this graphic card!
Just release a patch for us. Or think about it on cs5.

CS4 Acrobat Key Not Working

I have a copy of CS4 that installed fine and all the apps like Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc. are working fine, but Acrobat 9 will not take the software key I was given. When I open a PDF it asks me to first enter my password, then looks like it may be installing something, then prompts me for a serial number or to use the trial.
I haven't had a need to edit a PDF since I installed the software until now and had been viewing files in a browser...

Fash CS4 preloader does not work when saved in FlashCS5. Why?

I just started working CS4 and finished my firest simple web page (www.tuahjewels.com and www.akamai-events.info), nearly the way I wanted. Having little or no action code experience, I did what I could. Then CS4 was upgraded to CS5. When I opend the CS4 project and saved it to CS5 (making it irreversible), the preloader that worked in CS4 did not work in CS5. Why? What should I do?

I cannot answer regarding the CS5 issue, but you should be able to save a CS5 file as a CS4 file -- choose Save As and select CS4 as the file type

On Windows XP Client below command (Merging .INT files in one file hsd.txt) is working perfectly

But On Windows Vista Clent it's not working and not giving any error.
Please guide to perform this for Windows Vista Clients.

I think you may be confusing how Forms applications work. Commands such as HOST and TEXT_IO all execute on the server and not the client. This means that in your case the server (+where Application Server is installed+) must be a Windows platform since you are trying to execute a "Windows" command. Second thing is that because this will execute on the server, the client platform has nothing to do with the problem.
I suspect that previously you tried this code in a Forms Builder environment on WinXP then moved the form (fmb/fmx) to another machine where you then tried accessing it from a Vista client. Run from the Builder using OC4J, the code will work because the server and the client are the same machine. Additionally, when running Application Server additional security issues need to be considered. For example, many command line calls will not execute correctly in AS when the server is any Windows platform because the owner of the frmweb.exe process (OPMN) does not have permission to launch a command windows (cmd).
To permit server side HOST calls to execute correctly on a Windows server, you will need to do the following:
1. In the Windows Services management console, locate the server entry for the Oracle Process Manager for the Middle Tier
2. Open the Properties for this service by double clicking on it.
3. Select the Log on tab
4. Check the box labeled "Allow service to interact with Desktop." Click OK to accept the change.
5. The above change will require restarting OPMN or restarting the machine.
IMPORTANT:
Before making the above change, you should be aware of the impact of doing so. Be sure to refer to the Microsoft documentation which explains the Service options:

Adobe Illustrator CS4 - Shortcut keys not working

The short cut keys on my adobe illustrator cs4 programme have stopped working. I am working on a Mac OSX 10.9.2 . Can anyone help? I have tried reinstalling but it hasn't helped. I recently installed a wacom device would this have anything to do with it?Adobe CS4

After Effects CS4 Sniffer_gpu is not working

After Effects was working fine a few minutes ago and then the next time I started it up it suddenly gave me this message that sniffer_gpu had stopped working. After that, it said something like "After Effects can't continue:sorry. After Effects have crashed". I've been searching all over the internet only to see that no one was able to solve my problem! During the time where it last worked and the time where it began to NOT work, I did not install any weird software or close down anything - I was simply trying to open a project file.
After Effects did not work even after I've ran a deep care scan on Advanced SystemCare Beta. And I have no idea how to access the "product details" of my computer to give further information. Please help me, guys! I need an answer ASAP!! I'm a book trailer maker and I need After Effects working! I have a deadline I need to meet! >.<

Uhhh... you have to restart the system? I always put my computer on hibernation since I have lots of programmes working mid-way and I don't want to close them and then find out where I last stopped. Is hibernation bad? I tend to get Windows Updates and within a few hours my anti-virus software goes from A grade to D grade!

Dreamweaver CS4 collapsible panels not working

I've used collapsible panels on pages many times before with no problem. But for some reason, on the page below, they're not "working" - no opening or closing. They just appear in an open state at all times.
In Dreamweaver, I have the Display setting to Open, the Default state to Closed, and I have enabled animation.
I know this must be something very obvious.If anyone could take a look and see if you see what I'm missing, I'd sure appreciate it. I searched the Spry forum and came up empty.

Itunes 7.7 and windows Vista not working!

I have been plagued with iTunes and Vista problems ever since i got it on my Pc over 9 months ago!!
I had hoped that a multimillion company like apple most successful in this nich of the market would want to keep its customers and provide us with up to date valid software but NO..... 9moths later same problem!
Every time i uninstall and install a newER verson of iTunes i get the following sequale of errors:
1. Firstly a box appears with a sliding bar with " Please wait while windows configures iTunes "
2. When this finsihed another box appears " iTunes stopped working "
3. When u click OK (the only option) in the task bar on the bottom right a small bubble appears with the statment " Data execution prevention has closed iTunes "
Now i have been battling with this problem for some time and have tried many things like changing version of iTunes (clean uninstall and new install etc)
I have also located that if i try to start up Quicktime i get the same error box this time reading " Quicktime has stopped wotking "
I have uninstalled Quicktime and installed a new clean copy to no avail.....
Appart from throwing my iPod in the Thames and getting a samsung mp3 player, i dont see any solution... anyone have any ideas?

iTunes is a free program - it doesn't make good business sense for Apple to hire people to troubleshoot problems on Windows hardware - they'd have to hire hundreds, if not thousands to remote in to PCs and spend time fixing this kind of thing!
If you are getting that message about data execution prevention, you need to get DEP turned off, come **** or high water.
How about turning off UAC, can you even do that?
And with UAC turned off, can you disable DEP?

Remember you can always turn these back on to keep your system "safe" - this is just a test to get iTunes working.

Photoshop CS4 on Vista not seeing 4 gigs of RAM

I am running Photoshop as part of the CS4 Suite on a bootcamped intel mac pro towers using Vista Business with 4 gigs of Memory. We are running in 32 bit mode because of the Apple screw up with Carbon 64 so that both sides of the house windows and mac match.
Photoshop is currently only seeing 1639 MB of the RAM instead of the performance on the Mac of about 3000 MB
So does anyone know what is going on here and how I can get Photoshop and or Vista to recognize most if not all of the RAM installed on these machines.

While Jim's suggestion is the only solution to addressing all your system's memory, I am surprised you only have 2037 MB (built-in) memory. Perhaps you are running processes or have devices attached which are eating into your memory by as much as .5 MBs?
I also have 4GBs installed ram. Right off the top, Windows strips 1 GIG to reserve space for Video Cards and other devices. I lose another .5 MB to the system.
This is a well-known limitation of 32-bit systems and like Jim says, there is little to be done except to upgrade to Vista 64. You can remove devices and stop processes and services, but you'll not ever see . . . at very best . . . 3.5 GBs. (Well, you might by using the /PAE switch, but that is more risk than I'm willing to play with.)

Thus far, I've not encountered any problem using a 32-bit version. That is partly because I've not done anything with PS or other applications which might cause problems. But, as I do more with the Master Suite I expect that situation to change. Then, I'll upgrade to Vista 64.
I'm kinda keeping my eyes and ears open about Windows 7. Unless I encounter performance problems, I'd rather wait for the next version. According to rumors, the earliest date would be the end of the year, if not early 2010.

Adobe Web Premium CS4 setup.exe not working (upgrade)

Just bought and downloaded Web Premium upgrade, extracted with no issue, ran setup.exe and the mouse flickered but nothing happened. No service listed in taskmanager, nothing. After googling a while, I used msconfig to turn off everything possible on startup, mcafee, carbonite, video card GUIs, java runtime, etc etc. rebooted, again nothing. I'm upgrading from Studio8 which installed with no trouble. I'm pulling my hair out!
I run vista ultimate 32bit, 700gigs free space, 4gig ram, 1gig video card, 2.4ghz dual core intel chip. I also have premiere elements and Photoshop elements package installed (v7) but they installed without a hitch.
Any suggestions?
PS: I did read through these forums and was trying to avoid editing my registry etc. When I go into add/remove programs, there is no trace of CS4 (thinking setup was running hidden or something) nor are there cs4 directories created in /programfiles/adobe.

any input on this? Adobe mail customer support recommended disabling UAC and/or using a new user account... neither worked.
