CS4 exporting issues

hey, I am working with WIN7 and adobe premiere pro CS4 and I have edited a  very simple short video. Now I am having troubles with exporting the  thing. When I export it, the win media encoder opens but (of course  after starting and finishing the queue) no file comes out :S
I can't figure out where the problem is because I nearly tried  everything now.. Could anybody please give me a hint? I am quite new in  the video-editing busines.. =(
thanks in advance =)
creamworks

yes this is exactly what I'm seeing but it doesn't appear every time, f.e. when I stop the conversion because the picture appears and try again, it doesn't and the conversion works just like it should.. so I don't think it's because they've been renamend, moved or even deleted..
now I've made it - I actually have my video now, because I just put a bunch of formats in the queue and waited ten hours.. Now I don't know which format worked because the file is just a "VLC media file (.mpg)" and I put a lot of mpg's in the queue..
but thanks for your help - after all, it was very usefull

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 - Export issue.

    Hello to the Adobe Community!
Maybe someone here can help me out with some Premiere issues.
    I am using Premiere Pro CS4 4.2.1.
    I'm on Windows 7 64 (Ultimate N).
    My system is:
    Intel Core i5CPU [email protected]
    3GB RAM
I have updated all Adobe software, and my drivers.
I've had a good look over the forums and I found this article. It's very useful, and hoping it would be my saviour, I went through all the advice given.
    Still no luck!
I'm trying to export the media from Premiere to Media Encoder.
    My sequence settings are:
    1280 x 720
    Square pixel aspect ratio
    25fps
    48000HZ - Stereo
    My render settings are:
    MPEG2 - DVD
    PAL HIGH QUALITY
Everything else is left to the default setting.
When I try to encode via the Media Encoder, it gets to about 1/3rd of the way through and I get a message:
    'Encoding Failed
    Error compiling movie.
    Unknown error.
I have also tried, as per previous posts, to use the Adobe Dynamic Link, both from Premiere out to Encore, and importing in from Premiere when I'm in Encore.
Still no luck! I get an 'encode failed' message when I try to transcode it. I'm pulling out my hair with this one.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
NB: This is my first post on this forum, so apologies if I have missed anything out.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
    Em.

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions - Evan I think you might be right on the memory issue.
I tried one last thing - running Premiere in compatibility mode as an administrator.
Again, it failed after about 7 minutes. It's quite a complicated project, but it's only 14 minutes long.
The strange thing is that although it doesn't seem to render on my work pc, it renders on my home pc, which has similar specs:
    CPU: Intel Core i5 760 2.8GHZ 8MB
    MEMORY: 4GB (2x2GB) PC12800 DDR3/1600mhz Dual Channel Memory
MOTHERBOARD: Asus P7P55-M Intel P55 Chipset
    NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1GB
I forgot to say that my work pc, listed above uses an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT card.
Do you think that 1GB can really make all the difference?
Sorry if that's a stupid question, I don't have a massive amount of technical knowledge.
    Cheers!
    Em.

  • CS3 to CS4 Export Issues

    Hi All,
I recently upgraded to PP CS4 and I after some initial quirks it seems to be running fine.  I just setup my first project and the source video files are 800x600 and I am choosing a custom format for output (same 800x600).
What is really getting me is that in CS3, I found it was much easier to render out projects and now with the separate "renderer" I have no clue as to why my renders really look awful.  The text is blurred and the colors are reduced to something awful, pixelated and "spotty".
I have tried to crank up the render settings but the files sizes seem relatively small with poor quality.  Even when PP was estimating a file size of 600mb, I really only got 12MB out of it.
I have also tried different formats using compression and no compression and it's all the same...just garbage.
I have used Premiere from just when it was called Premirere Pro all the way up to CS3 and I have not experienced this before.
Any ideas if I have some kind of corrupt install or something?
    Thanks in advance,
    Eugene

In fact, I am hoping it's operator error.
I am using Win7, 32 bit on a laptop with an integrated video card since currently I am traveling.  However, so there is no confusion, before I left, I had the same issues on a Vista, 64 bit workstation with an i7 processor and dual SLI nVidia GTX9800 cards.
Also, I had CS3 on a 32 bit machine and when I rendered out of there...no problems!
So, the sequence is only about 24 seconds long and all layers are 800x600 png files that were rendered out of 3DS Max.  However, I have some title screens that were done in PP and they suffer from the same fate.
I choose FIle->Export->Media and the export menu settings shows up.
I choose Quicktime and use custom settings.  800x600 with H264, Field type set to Lower Fist, 30 fps, square pixels (1.0) and maximum bitrate 144,000
File size is shown as only 3mb.  When I would render something like this out of CS3, the file size would be hundreds of megabytes with H264 and I would always go back and recompress and get really good quality.
I am very new to the CS4 workflow, so I am wondering if there is somekind of preference setting or otherwise that is causing my issues.
    Thank you,
    Eugene

  • Bizzare export issue

Here is a very weird export issue. Windows XP.
Project is set at h264 1920x1080 mono audio 29.97 fps
I have 30 shots that make up the sequence. Each shot is exactly 90 frames. I exported each sequence at h264 1920x1080 with one channel of audio. The first shot exports just fine and is 5 MB. The second shot exports at 10 MB. The third is 15 MB, the tenth shot is 50MB. But the picture is still 90 frames for each shot. BUT, when I export without audio each exported file is just 5 MB. If I look at the properties of each clip the duration of the video and audio is just 90 frames. If I open one of these clips in QuickTime Pro and re-export it as source then the files size goes back to 5 MB; same video, same audio yet with the correct file size.
    Anyone seen this before?
Is there a setting that could be incorrect?
    -cablet

Weird, man. Not sure what might cause that.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 strange issues happening

Suddenly when I do a find and replace and I do a carriage return in the replace portion of the find/replace window to make my edit go to an extra line, the carriage return occurs behind it on the page I'm editing. It doesn't add a <p> tag in the document, just kind of highlights what I have in the find window and each time I hit Enter the next instance of the what I'm trying to find gets highlighted.
    Also, when I try to add <strong> tags to my document this appears on the page instead &lt;strong&gt;
    What the hell?
I tried recreating my configuration folder (I'm on Windows Vista) but it still happens.
    Any ideas??

Re :Re: Dreamweaver CS4 having issues after installing PS CS6 Beta
    Just a thought ...
    This may help!
Uninstall the Beta Version of Photoshop CS6 now and then restart your computer and see if that works.
Open the CS4 programs and see if that fixed the problem and it is all working as it should again.
    It is worth a try!
    All the best.

  • Crystal JRC PDF Export Issue

We are experiencing a PDF export issue with Crystal JRC version 12.2.202.  The PDF report shows 1 of 3 pages but ONLY the first page is generated.  When this occurs, ALL other users that are exporting to PDF experience the same issue with any multiple page report.  I can't find any errors in the log that would indicate what the problem is.  To resolve the issue, I have to recycle the WebLogic application server that hosts  the JRC, which would indicate something gets "locked" in memory and gets cleared when the app server is bounced.
Any ideas on how to resolve this ?

    Hi Ted,
    Thanks for the response!
Though, the mentioned Sun JVM Bug explains the root-cause, the Bug status also state that it is not fixed yet.
Also, we are reluctant to change the JVM Option to -Xint due to unknown impacts on JVM optimizations.
Is there a patch released for CrystalReports to deal with this behavior? We are using CRJ runtime 11.5.7.620 and seeking for a patch on this version.
    Thanks.

  • PP CS5.5 FLV To MP4 Export Issues / Problems

I just upgraded from Production Premium CS5 to CS5.5. I do a fair amount of converting/exporting of imported FLV files (downloaded from internet news sites) to H.264/AAC w/ MP4 wrappers using Premiere Pro (PP) and Adobe Media Encoder (AME). My equipment is a 1+ yr. old HP Win 7 Pro w/ an Intel i970 Quadcore, 12 Gb RAM and MSI nVidia GTX 470 GPU. I have never experienced any queue or export issues w/ CS5 (at least that I noticed), but I am experiencing noticeably degraded queue export and direct export problems with these files in CS5.5.
Description: (1) The queue export times for the exact same imported FLV clip(s) using the exact same sequence settings and H.264/MP4 export settings are noticeably slower in CS5.5 (sometimes 2x, depending on the export settings, e.g. using maximum render quality) than in CS5; (2) My MSI Afterburner GPU monitoring software indicates 5-10% GPU usage during queue/export in CS5, while indicating 0% GPU usage (flatline) in CS5.5; and (3) When I attempt to direct export these files using CS5.5 I get the following error message: "The source and output audio channels are not compatible or a conversion does not exist."
I suspect that it may have something to do with "conforming" anomalies when the FLV file is imported into PP, but I would put that squarely in the category of rank speculation on my part.
Has anyone experienced the same or similar problems or have any insight into what may be the problem(s)? Of course, thanks for any help/insight you can provide.
    Jim

What do you mean by a better routine?
A better compression routine than H.264.
Is the quality better than H.264?
    Yes.
Does this use an MOV wrapper?
    Yes.
Also, would it import correctly into PPro?
    Yes.
we would import files into PPro exported out of FCP and would get a red pixelated glitch during preview and export. Does this codec solve this problem as well if it is an MOV wrapper?
I don't know anything about FCP.
Sorry for all the questions, just want to get things right before diving into a new codec.
    It's harmless, and free.
Download it and run some tests.

  • Simple flash export issue

    hello
I'm trying to export a flash video using Adobe media encoder from Premier Pro, but when I do I get this error " there are no clips to build".
I have another file that I am able to export and it does not have this problem.
They are Windows Media files and play in Premier fine. I am using Premier Pro CS3.
Lastly, I'm not a video expert but I really need to get these up on the web for work, there is a lot of pressure and I need to get it done.
    Regards,
    Tom

    fixed the exporting issue.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 having issues after installing PS CS6 Beta

    Hi All,
I'm having issues with Dreamweaver CS4 after installing Photoshop CS6 Beta. I'm getting the follwing erros when trying to open any html file (see attached image).
Once I click OK, the file will open, also now; any copy and paste commands will not work. Anyone else experiencing any problems with other apps after installing this beta version?
Any help and feedback is much appreciated, thanks!

  • CS4 Export Problem

I have an external hard drive to which I export my encoded CS4 video files once I have finished editing.  The problem is that, in doing so, space seems to be used also on my C drive.  I need to find and delete these files on my C drive once my PP project files are rendered to my external drive.  I have looked in temp files but they not there.  Can anyone advise me on this?

That's done it S.V.  Many thanks!

I'm a newbie so don't take my word as gospel buuuuttt....
If you're using Vista you might be making the same mistake as me. Go edit>preferences>media, hover the mouse over the media cache files location (i.e. C:\yadayada) and TYPE that into the bar at the top of the my computer. Don't click through and try and find it, TYPE it like you would an internet address in a web browser.
    Silly Vista.

  • Exporting ISSUES! Help

I am a relatively new user to lightroom.  I haven't had any exporting issues until today.  I am attempting to export a photo/photos to a specific folder with a custom name.  When I do this it exports the WHOLE library and NOT the edited photo.  What am I doing wrong??

Lightroom usually exports all images that are highlighted. If you only want to export one image then make sure it is the only image that is highlighted.

  • Exporting issues after 4.2 upgrade

Has anyone else experienced exporting issues after installing the 4.2 upgrade? It used to be a breeze but now I keep getting the message that a destination folder has not been specified even though I've done that. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Are you using an Export preset, or setting the Export up manually each time?

  • Reporting Export Issue from Taleo

Can anyone help?  We have a work around for the Exporting Issues into Excel 2010 regarding figures and dates only reading as text, however, a new issue has arisen.   In one field we have Aggregated Agencies assigned to any particular Job Code.   In the legacy reports, every agency name exported into one cell in Excel, now they export into individual rows, this causes a report to be too long and there is no way to amalgamate them into one cell.    Has anyone found a workaround for this?

is there someway that it was reformatted by the Iomega drive being daisy chained to it?
No. That is not possible -anyway, reformatting erases everything on a drive.
You would have noticed that first.
You can download the [NTFS-3G driver|http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com> which will let you read, write and even reformat the clients drive as NTFS on the Mac. All reasonably modern Windows PCs work with this disc format and you won't run into the file size limitations associated with FAT formatted drives.

  • Using 128bit key Blowfish and any export issues

    Hi,
I want to use blowfish (symmetric key algorithm) in my product and which will be shipped outside US. Reading Sun's documentation I am bit confused and I am not sure if the jce package is going to be available outside the US.
Has anyone used the default available symmetric key algorithms in the JCE package (javax.crypto.*) and faced any export control issues ?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks
    RT
    Here is a sample code
    String ks = "123456789123456";
    kb = ks.getBytes();
    SecretKeySpec key = new SecretKeySpec(kb,"blowfish");
    Cipher cipher = Cipher.getInstance("blowfish");
// Initialisation of cipher object for Encryption.
    cipher.init(Cipher.ENCRYPT_MODE, key);

    1. the issue is rather an import issue for some countries, than an export issue for US as far as you use jre>=1.4 .
    you can read the
'Downloading the "Unlimited Strength" Jurisdiction Policy Files'
    section of
    http://java.sun.com/products/jce/javase.html
    2. The restricted (defualt) shipped version already covers Blowfish if you mind that.
    3. I use Blowfish with restricted (default) version of JCE in applications deployed in europe and have not heard of customer complaining sofar: they are supposed to use webstart or jre1.5.

  • InDesign CS4 PDF Export Issue

    Hello everyone,
I'm new to Adobe and this forum so if I screw something up, please let me know.
    My System:
    Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93GHz, 3GB Ram, 7200rmp 320GB HDD, XP Pro SP3
Adobe Master Collection CS4 full installation.
    My Issue:
Intermittenly, as I export an InDesign document to PDF my font gets rendered improperly.  I have included screen shots of both exports below:
Above is the correct way the font I use should look when it's exported (Grotesque MT Std Light).
Below is the other way the font looks when I export it.
You can clearly see that the bottom block of text is darker and more jagged, almost as if there are two layers of the same text.
The problem is I only have one layer of text!
I imagine there must be some checkbox somewhere that I either accidentally check/uncheck with a mistype (I type fast and irratically, so sometimes I hit keys I didn't mean to) or accidental combination of CTRL+.
Has anyone else experienced font-weight issues like I have?
I would appreciate any insight regarding this matter.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Transparency on the page? Looks like the type was perhaps rasterized during transparency flattening.
Rule #1 is to put type at the top of the stack when there is transparency, and it's a good idea not to flatten (export to Acrobat 5 or higher compatibility if possible) if it isn't absolutely necessary. Even if you move the type to the top you are likely to see an "emboldening" effect on screen and low res printing when there is transparency on the page.
