CS4 Extension Manager ERROR! Help

Just recently installed CS4 Web Premium. All apps seem to load and work fine except for the Extension Manager after applying an update for it. When I open the EM, I get the a long error message that begins:
"There is an invalid token value in 'XManConfig.xml' for product 'Flash CS4', token 'userhomefolder' has a bad value as . . . Initialization for this product failed."
And after that string there are similar error messages for Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator (and probably others, but the text extends beyond bounds of the Extension Manager window so I can't see all of it).
I'm pretty sure the error occurs because the 'userhomefolder' points to a virtual directory on our network. However, I can't for the life of me figure out where the value for the variable 'userhomefolder' (or for the ones in the XManConfig.xml files -- $userdatafolder, $installfolder, $shareddatafolder -- are being pulled from. I've searched through the Program files folders, the application data folders, and the registry -- no luck. Online searches haven't shed any light either.

BTW I have tried selecting all of the shapes before enabling
bone tool...saw that as a possible solution on another forum,
however no luck

CS4 Extension Manager

I have CS4 Extended and CS6. I have kept CS4 as it is 'extended' and it also allows access to Pixel Bender. Recently I have been affected by a virus which corrupted both programmes. I have reinstalled both but I can no longer access CS4 Extension Manager in order to re-install Pixel Bender, it is usurped by CS6 Extension Manager. I have tried reinstalling the Ex. Man for CS4 but I am told it is already installed. Could you please suggest a solution to this problem. Thanks Angie xx

Your using an windows operating system?
Have you tried going to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS4 (64 bit windows operating system)
or
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS4 (32 bit windows operating system)
and double clicking on the Adobe Extension Manager CS4.exe to see if it runs?

Cannot update the Extension Manager - Error Code: U44M1P7

Hi guys,
I'm trying since some weeks to update my Adobe CS but I'm getting this Error Message:
Extension Manager 6.0.7 Update
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
I have checked the FAQs already but didn't find any hint.
I would be glad if anyone could give me some help.

I'm not sure which update its failing on specifically but it might be possible to install it manually?

Extension Manager Error Message

I keep on getting the following error message when I try to update Adobe Extension Manager 6.0.5 . I don't know why this is happening. Can anyone help me?

The error message was U44M2P7.
However I think I may have solved the problem, at least for the time being. First I deleted the entire Adobe Extension Manager folder in Applications. Then I downloaded 6.0.4 again and installed it, without using Application Manager. Then I downloaded the patch for 6.0.5 and installed that, again without Application Manager; EM was indicated in Info as 6.0.5. Seems therefore to be OK, but have not tried to use Application Manager or open Extension Manager since, as I do not need to currently.

Adobe Extension Manager 6 Help

I recently joined adobe cloud and downloaded a few apps: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. I need to install a plugin to work with InDesign and the adobe extension manager 6 will not open at all. It will start "bouncing" in the dock and will just disappear never opening. In my Application Folder I have the 5 and 5.5 Extension Manager that opens.
I have made sure to download the recent version and patch. I also cannot install the Adobe Exchange without the Extension Manager.. I tried this. Unless there is another way?
Please help, I have been on hold with adobe for almost 4 hours and I am losing hope and need to get going on my project.

Extension Manager errors

I've lost the ability to open my extensions manager. The error first read "extension manager in use" and after re boot now reads "could not find preferences file -created a new preferences file" but it still will not open. Also lost the ability to sync to my MP3 player- which is no longer showing up in itunes. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Welcome to the Discussions.
I would try this troubleshooting path: Once started, go to your HD icon > System Folder > Preferences folder and drag these files to the trash:
-Extensions Manager Prefs
-Extensions Manager Prefs folder (open this folder) and leave these items in the folder but trash everything else:
Extensions Manager Info
MacOS 9.1 All (a locked set)
MacOS 9.1 Base (a locked set)
The EM prefs in this folder may be damaged along with one of you custom sets. Now restart and test.

CS5 Extension Manager error message re: plug-in installation

Extension Manager gives me the following error mesage when I try and load "Adobe Photoshop CS5 Automate Plug-ins"

That's very puzzling, but you seem to have an older version of the Adobe Extension Manager for CS5.x. You are on 5.0.x, R_Kelly mentions 5.2.x, and I'm on 5.5.x
Maybe you need to make sure you are updated to Photoshop 12.1 update first, then make sure you are updated to Adobe Extenson Manager 5.5.0.163.

Hi Carl, this extension was built with Extension Builder 2.1 and the mxi file is automatically generated.
It is supposed to support CS5 through CC versions.
mxi file has the following entries:
<products>
<product maxversion="15.9" name="Illustrator" primary="true" version="15.0"/>
<product familyname="Illustrator" maxversion="17.9" primary="true" version="16.0"/>
</products>
Also, this extension has been working in Creative Cloud ever since CC came out, and only recently did we start having issues.
Is it possible that there is an issue with the latest update to Extension Manager?
Please advise.

DW CC 2014 - Extension Manager - Error 451

Hallo,
ich hatte unter Deamweaver CC eine Extension "Extend Soft - Flexi Lightbox" installiert. Nach Upgrade auf DW CC 2014 und deinstallation von DW CC kann ich die Extension über den Extension Manager nicht mehr installieren. Es kommt die Fehlemeldung Error occured. Error Code is -451. Die Erweiterung wird nicht installiert.
Ich weiss nicht wo ich ansetzen muss und ich brauche die Erweiterung dringend. Könnt ihr mir helfen?

If it is possible please send the log file and zxp file to us:
1. Create a file called exmancoreliblog.yes and copy it to
Mac: /Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log/
Windows: C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log
2. Restart Extension Manager and reproduce your issue
3. Send us ExManCoreLibrary.log file in that log folder to [email protected]

Photoshop CS4 extended trial error help

before i installed the CS4 trial, i uninstalled all previous photoshop versions that were on my computer(cs2,3). but when i open photoshop cs4, it doesnt even start to open. all i get is an error reading "licensing for this product has stopped working" and it says that i must restart my computer before launching, which i did. it's the same error every time and i dont know how to fix it. i have a windows xp home edition 32 bit.512 Mb of RAM. i tried googling but the only help i found talked about a "FLEXnet" folder which i don t have. so any help would be appreciated. =]

Not entirely correct. In many cases a uninstall/reinstall will correctly initialize the licensing system. The point here is, that one of your previous uninstalls, most likely of CS3, did not go as planned. You can of course try the tips from the knowledge base first. If they fail, uninstall. In addition, make sure to run the CS3 clean script and CS4 clean utility to get rid of every trace of old and defunct files. Then try another install.

Cs4 internet explorer error. help please

I try to install cs4 premium. it scans my computer then displays "please exit : internet explorer to continue"
Internet explorer is not running. i pulled up task manager to check, i also checked if any "behind the scene" programs of internet were running under the processes tab. nothing of internet explorer is running. I even hard rebooted the computer and just tried restarting it. Nothing seems to work out. I even took it to Office Depot, they couldn't figure it out nor could i searching forum after forum. i can't get a hold of adobe tech support so anyones help? thank you

you will find it in the task manager

My colleague has once seen the same error in the BP05 version but done know what further he did into it. Here is what you can do:
- Refer to your upgrade logs and see if their is an error. If 'Yes' then do the upgrade again.
If not then
- Refer to the readme or release notes for BP06, BP07 and later version of OIM 9102 and see if it talks about any bug like this getting fixed. If it's there then you know the reason.
- If not then I assume this should be a bug in OIM (less chances), but to confirm try this in any of the newer versions of OIM as well.

I had the same problem. Il run the api OTA_DELEGATE_BOOKING_API. you can catch your error.
