CS4 How to change dimensions

Hello,
I started a new project and imported my media. I then spent a few hours editing the footage. When I went to export the video, it would not let me change the dimensions. I ignored it and went ahead and exported an .avi video. The video is all wrong. My video footage is floating in the center of a large black sea of nothing. I need Premiere to resize down to the correct level!

CS4: how to change cmd+H function?

Hi, I have recently got CS4 and one thing really bugs me, the cmd+H function has changed to ctrl+cmd+H. It used to be used to show/hide frame edges but now cmd+H appears to have been taken over by the Mac system, to hide any and all applications. I'd like to change it back but I can't find how to change the keyboard setting - in either Indesign or Mac preferences. Which should I use?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's a little thing but I used cmd+H ALL the time and am finding it a hard habit to break! Indesign constantly *disappearing* on me is proving frustrating to say the least!

Tha's funny: googling for a solution I found these pages instead: Cmd-H Now the Mac InDesign Shortcut for "Hallelujah, It Hides" and Doing the right thing with Cmd-H (be sure to read the comments).
So it seems enough people complained to Adobe to make them change their initial choice. Perhaps they'll change their mind again.

How to change dimensions of imovie appearance

the appearance of iMovie on some of the laptops I let young people use to make movies are different from the others. Abnormally small project windows for example. I have reversed the Events/Project windows...but that is no hope. How can I exercise control over the appearance of what I am working with in iMovie?

(CS4) How to change text in character format?

Hello scripters,
I need help for a problem with "FindChangeByList":
I want to change text with special elements (and more than one element),
for example: color:black AND italic AND subscript
(or elevated, capital, small caps)
and change it in a character format that i have defineted before
(lets call it for example "01-xyz").
As i understand it, i can make it with the "FindChangeByList-sript" and GREP
But what must stand here "?"
grep {find what:"?"} {change to:"?"} {include footnotes:true, include master pages:true, include hidden layers:true, whole word:false} Find all double spaces and replace with single spaces.
Can anybody help me, please?

But i must have make a mistake:

How slow changing dimension will support SID?
The following is the advantages with SLOW CHANGING DIMENSION.
1)language support
2) master data independent of infosource
3) uses numeric as indexes for faster access.
plz explain the above points with example . i did not get that point.

I feel that the advantages that you have mentioned above also applies to dimensions of a cube in general. Slowly changing dimensions is data modelling concept in my view not physically present in the system.
But thanks to your question i was able to deep dive into this concept and increase my knowledge.

How to change font in CS4

Hello All,
I have just got used to working with Dreamweaver CS3. I
created a template in CS3, and it is quite obvious
how to change the font face for an editable region in CS3
properties area.
I have just moved to CS4, and am editing a template I created
in CS3, and have not (as yet) found out how to select a different
font face for an editable region in CS4, that option seems no
longer on the property section of the workspace. How can I do this?
One more question - less remedial. I have a template with
repeatable and editable regions. It is a table that allows adding
or subtracting images in one cell and text in another. I want the
image tag width and height to always be 200x125 regardless of the
actual size of the image (the images will always be bigger than
200x125). Is there a way to set this in the template? I have set
the table cell to that size, but it expands if I add a larger image
to the table.

Use the CSS 'button' on the upper, left corner of the
Property inspector.

This is within an editable region? I can think of no way to
do that.

How to Sort Dimension in Pivot Table via Order Column which is changing like Factual values

Recently in of our product offerings we got stuck on this following question:
How to Sort Dimension based on the Order Value which Keeps Changing with Factual Values??
We have a data source laid out as (example)
In the above the “Order” columns are changing per
Company/(DimensionA) for DimesnsionB.
Instead what we want is: (But only if we can get the following result without putting the “Order” Column in the “Values” Section.
If there are any configurations that we can make to our power pivot model for the similar data set so that the
DimesnionB in this case can be sorted by the Order column, would be greatly helpful to us.

According to your description, you need to sort dimension members in Pivot Table via order column, and you don't want the order column show on the Pivot table, right?
Based on my research, we can sort the data on the Pivot table based on one of the columns in that table, and we cannot sort the data based on the columns that not existed on the Pivot table. So in your scenario, to achieve your requirement, you can
add the column to pivot table and hide it.

How to change PDF document dimensions - Acrobat Pro 9

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to change the dimensions of my PDF in Acrobat Pro.
The original artwork was created in Illustrator and the final document is primarily for screen use (not print) so was created using pixels (600x665px to be precise). However when the artwork is created into a PDF, when viewed (and printed) in Acrobat, it is rather large and I want to make this smaller.
If anyone can advise on this it'd be much appreciated!

You might play with the Touchup Object tool off the Advanced Editing toolbar.
Use the tool to select the image. Any of the four corners can be "grabbed" and a mouse drag will let you change the space occupied, on the PDF page, by the image. Not a "fine control" but, sometimes, all that's needed.
Or, in Preferences > Touchup category - the associated configuration pane permits selection of an installed image editor.
Now, using the Touchup Object tool's context menu, you can use the "Edit Image..." selection.
Edit the image and return it to the PDF.

How to implement mapping for a slowly changing dimension

Hello,
I don't have any experience with OWB and I need some help.
I just don't know how to create the ETL process for a slowly changing dimension.
My scenario is that I have 2 operative systems providing customer information, a staging area and a dwh with a customer dimension with SCD type 2 (created within OWB).
The oltp data is already transferred to the staging area. But how should the mapping for the dwh table look like? Which operators have to be used?
I have to check whether the customer record is new or just updated. How can I check every attribute? A new record shall be loaded, an updated record shall be historized (as I configured it in the SCD type 2). I just don't know how the trigger of the SCD is activated. Do I have to try an update on the trigger attribute and then automaticalle a new record is created? But with which operator can I do this? How should the mapping look like? Or is this impossible and do I have to implement this functionality with SQL code only?
I know how to implement this with SQL code, but my task is to implement this in OWB.
As you see I did not understand the logic of OWB so far and I hope somebody can help me.

How to change Preset settings (CS4)

Hello everyone,
I'm going to make a video with Adobe Premiere CS4 and I need to know how to change Preset settings or however it is called, because I think none of the Presets match with my videos (tried some and my videos were bigger or smaller).
My videos are .mov, 800x600, made and rendered in Autodesk 3ds Studio Max 2010 (3D Program).
Could someone please help me? I don't know if there's a preset for me or if I have to change settings or something like that (and where). Yes, I'm new! I'm from Spain if you need it.

Welcome to the forum.
In CS4 and CS5, one can set the Preset at the Sequence level. Before, it was more global, at the Project level.
In Sequence New, you will choose the Desktop Preset, and then you can alter almost every displayed attribute, such as Frame Size, or Frame Rate, etc. you want to match your Sequence to your source footage 100%. After editing with those attributes matching, you can then Export to a desired output setting with AME (Adobe Media Encoder). You choice of Desktop, allows you to customize the settings to match. I wish that Adobe had named it "Custom," as the term "Desktop" is a bit abstract, though it has been around for a very long time.
Good luck, and do match your Sequence settings (Desktop) to your source footage.

Photoshop CS4 "Save" default, how to change?

I have been unable to find out how to change the "save" default in PS cs4. If I open a photo, do adjustments using various layers then execute "save" it saves it as a Tiff file. I can choose "save as" and make a selection to what ever format, but the "save" defaults to a Tiff format on the initial"save". At one point I was saving by default to a psd file and one day it changed on me...I don't know if I inadvertently did something or not but I would sure like to change it back. If it makes any difference, I open most of my photos from LR2. I've looked through the help section and threads here but can't find an answer. Note: If I do a "save as" first, do more work on the photo then execute the "save" command it will then save it to whatever format that was chosen in the initial "save as" action. Thanks.

That setting should be sticky, meaning it will be set to whatever you used the last time. If you change file format, it will be set to the newer file format next time you use it. That's how it works on my setup*.
* Re my setup: Please note that I am not a Lightroom user. I have no idea whether it interferes or not.

Slowly changing dimensions - Data that changes over a period of time or dimenions that have data that changes slowly. e.g. Person responsible for a cost center. You cannot change that person daily, it is changed over a period of time.
Slowly changing dimensions are of different types: TYPE 0, 1,2,3 and 4.
