CS4 Licensing Error 150:30

After re-installing OS X my CS4 applications are not working.
I keep getting message  "Licensing Error 150:30"

The Licensing repair tool does work. OSX 10.7 and above:
Download and open LicenseRecovery111.dmg on your Desktop
Open Terminal and type sudo and leave a space. <do not press "Enter" yet>.
Open the License Folder on the opened LicenseRecovery111.dmg and drag
"LicenseRecover.py" file into the Terminal Window.
The sudo command and path to the .py file should look like the screenshot below.
Press Enter to begin
Type in your password, but know that you will not see dots or asterisks as you type.
Press Enter again, let the script run and finish. You should be able to run Photoshop now.
(If this answer solves it, mark it as "correct" or get back to me if it doesn't.)

  • Photoshop CS4 - Licensing Error 150:30

I have a MacBook with the OS X Maverick Operating System and have had no prior issues using my Photoshop CS4. My computer recently crashed and had to have my operating system re-installed. I tried to open up Photoshop today and this window popped up: "Licensing for this product has stopped working". I tried restarting the computer like the window mentioned and that did nothing. I also tried the solutions listed on the Adobe website for the Error: 150:30 and nothing has worked. My main problem is I cannot finish the "solutions" because I cannot locate the folder "FlexNet" or "FlexNet Licensing" or anything of that nature that is referred to in the solutions.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 keeps showing a licensing error 150:30. Any ideas?

I am running Dreamweaver CS4 on a MacBook Pro. After a Mac OSX update earlier today Dreamweaver keeps showing a licensing error 150:30 and the only solution on line is not suitable for OS 10.9.5. Any ideas?

The terminal app option worked but after a restart I got the error message again. It worked a second time but then another restart brought me back to the beginnin. Have repaired permissions and tried the other potential solutions. I only use DW CS4 once in a while but I'd love a permanent solution.

  • Photoshop CS4 Licensing error

I'm using my Photoshop CS4 for a long time now but on Tuesday it suddenly crashed saying some Licensing error occured and I have to restart my computer to solve the problem. The restart didn't help. I've read, that there is a License Repair Tool, so firstly I've downloaded that one, trying to repair the product. Nothing has changed. The next step was to reinstall the whole product. I also had some difficulties to remove it, because the uninstaller didn't want to start. After removing it with the Creative Suite cleaning tool and removing the nessecary files the reinstalled progmam showed the same message. Also tried to remove the latest Windows updates installed that day without success. Is there any solution for my problem? I have a CS5 upgrade also installed and it's working, but I prefer the CS4 for some reasons.

I've cleand out, but it just showed me another error message (I think the error 6: configuration error) with both the CS4 and the CS5. So I removed all of them, deleted all Adobe files related to CS4 or CS5 and installed them again. The message is the same (Error 150:30), when I start the CS4, but the CS5 works fine. (I've tried it on another computer and it's working there) How can I make sure the service is running correctly or where can I start it manually?

  • License error 150:30 Downloaded license recovery, the app doesn't response. Now what?

Recently had to recover mac from Time Machine … all good.
Now can't start Photoshop Elements 8.0. Receiving message:
"Licensing for this product has stopped working. ….. Error 150:30"
Successfully downloaded License Recovery app package from Adobe website. When I launch the License Recovery app nothing happens and it is not responding.
Unsure what to do to resolve this.

Migrating Adobe applications from one system to another does not work.  You need to install using installation files.  If you do not have access to the disks then you might be able to download thru the following page (depends what you need).
    Download and Installation Help -
    https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html
You will need the serial number from the disk packaging to activate the installed files.  You might be able to find this thru your Adobe account online if you registered the software previously.

  • Can't start my old Photoshop CS4. Error:150:30 Licensing for this product has stopped working

I can't use my PS CS4 because it seems the licensing has stopped working. I restarted the Mac few times but this error seems to persist.

It's an extremely common error with CS4. It means the licensing is broken. For people not really familiar with Terminal, my best answer is to suggest a fresh install from your discs to fix this. You will have to reapply all updates.
Since the Help > Update part is not working well, download and install your updates (Photoshop, Bridge, Adobe Camera Raw) from here Product updates.
Usually this happens when Photoshop is moved from another computer, from a backup like Time Machine, or even as OSX upgrade to Yosemite.

  • Setting up Photoshop CS 4 after migration MacBook air licensing error 150:30

On my previous computer, I deactivated the license before migrating because that it what you are supposed to do in order to activate it on a new account/machine. Basically like a transfer. The error tells me to restart, which I have done several times, to no use. Then it said to get help here, so obviously I'm asking this question.
What do I do to make the license begin working again?
I also could not find that root folder in my library, so please do not suggest that as a solution.
    Thank you for your help!

REinstall the software properly. You cannot find anything because nothing is there. That's the whole point why migration isn't usable with Adobe software.

  • CS4 License Error 3?

CS4 just stopped loading, giving me a "Licensing for this product has stopped working" and "Error: 3" messages.
I don't know if it has anything to do with having just installed Lightroom 5. Haven't used CS4 in a while, but it didn't give me any problems previously.
I do know that my Adobe customer service chat experience is a half hour of my life I'd like back, since all I could get out of the utterly confused and unhelpful agent between loooooong lags (like talking to a six year old who's watching tv) was "it's a technical issue" (no, REALLY?) and after a few more exchanges, "CS4 is the older version product is the no more support for this product." Then he gave me a link to this forum and essentially checked out. Oh, but not before "Is there anything else I can help you with?"
I'd be grateful if anyone could be of more help than the paid Adobe employee.

Thanks for taking the time to direct me to that. Since I was directed by Customer Service to post here (never mind that the agent couldn't come up with that link), I did so first but subsequently found it. Unfortunately, it still hasn't resolved my issue, as:
    1) I don't have the FlexNet Publisher preferences folder,
    2) The License Repair Tool will not run on my OS X Mavericks machine, and
    3) Repairing disk permissions does nothing.
I will keep moving down the list of solutions once I've gotten some sleep, but the complaints I've seen elsewhere suggest I may have a complete reinstall in my near future, and I'll be lucky if that resolves the issue....

  • How do I resolve licensing error 150:30 in Photoshop Elements 8 on a Mac?

How do I resolve this issue? I found some troubleshooting steps through Adobe but the files they reference I don't have on my computer and I don't think the steps I found were for my version of elements anyways. Thanks!

You need to contact Adobe about that. You will need CS6 or above.

  • I need help with solutions to Licensing error 150:30.

I transferred Elements with Time Machine from a Mac OS 10.6 machine to a newer Mac with 10.9.4. I've printed the 5 solutions, but can't get through them without help; I'm 73!

You can't do that, ever. Elements is not a tidy package like most mac apps and you can never move an installed copy. You must always install from scratch on a new machine.By trying to move it you've made extra work for yourself. You will need to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
after which you can go around and manually delete what you can find in the applications folder, hard drive>library>application support>adobe, and your username>library>preferences.
Then install from your original media.

  • CS4 not running on new MBP, licensing error?!

My 2008 MBP finally bit it and I just got a new MBP with Mavericks. I transferred my old drive over to the new computer but I can't get CS4 to work. It keeps saying there's a licensing error (150:30). Help!!

The CS4 apps should work fine in Mavericks - it sounds as if you're having a problem stemming from Adobe.
If I were you, I would contact Adobe support and see if they have a solution for your problem. It would also be good to know exactly how you transferred the files - you may have to completely reinstall CS4 again to get all of the support files in place.
    Good luck,
