CS4 Mac Can I move a row in a table?

I've made a table, but I now would like to move row 7 to occupy the position of row 2, thus pushing the others down so that the previous row two would now be row 3. In Excel, I would select the row and then click and hold the selected row with the mouse and move it up or down as needed and it would relocate to the location where it is when I release the mouse button. I can't seem to figure out how to do it in ID. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks.

I don't believe you can move rows. You can cut row 7, insert a row to the right of row 1 and paste row 7 over the blank, inserted row.

How can I move Front Row to a different display?

I love using Front Row with my MacBook, but I'd love it even more if I could move Front Row from my main display on my laptop onto my second display--a TV screen. I own a Apple mini-DVI to RCA & S-video adapter, and I use this to connect to my TV screen. Obviously, I can get Front Row on my TV screen by turning on Mirror Displays or setting the TV screen as my main screen (dragging the menu bar icon to the second display in the Displays system preference), but both these methods require me to sacrifice use of my desktop on my laptop while I use Front Row.
Simply put, can I possibly (even sneakily) move Front Row to my second display? Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately, since Front Row has no preferences you can actually change, there's no way to change the screen now. (Besides the work arounds you've already discovered.) I would send Apple some Mac OS X feedback (since Front Row is considered part of OS X, not a stand-alone application) and let them know you'd like to be able specify the screen. You're not the first person here to ask for that option.

Can you move a row in a DataGridView to the first row and move the other rows down to make room?

I'm using a DataGridView (I call it "dg") to display a list of items. I want the user to be able to position the cursor on a row in the middle of the list then click a button to move that row to the top of the list (and move the other rows between
the first row and the row being moved down one row to accomodate the new first row).

If the DataGridview does not have it's DataSource set we can use the following logic

If the DataSource is set then we need to do what was done above but against the underlying data rather than the DataGridView itself. The base logic can be found in
the following article in LanguageExtensions.vb but please note the code there is for a different type of move yet the logic is still the same in the end.

The 8 step start up process is a pain; step one to import, gives me windows when i downloaded mac; can't move to the next page?????

downloaded firefox for mac os x. it asked if i wanted to import from safari during that process; i said yes. when i click on the firefox icon, none of the tags or bookmarks are there. moreover, the first step in the 8 step process (really??), is a article for windows, and i can't move from the page, no continue options or anything. extremely frustrating, and seems unnecessary; why does it give me windows info when i downloaded mac?

I have the same issues. I keep getting a "network error" even though my connections are fine. I have installed Bootcamp fine on another Macbook, but am having major issues with my brand new one. I have read the support forums where they say to keep trying because the servers are notoriously slow, but this seems a little ridiculous. Hope I can get some help as well.

How do I move a row in a table.

The instructions from teh Pages manual (below) doesn't work. i.e. I can't get the rows to "appear to lift off the table" to move them.
Move rows and columns within a table
Select one or more rows or columns, then do either of the following:Move rows: Click and hold the blue bar for the rows so they appear to lift off the table, then drag above or below another row.

Apple has left a bit out of their instructions
Hold down the command key and drag up from the left most or top most blue tab label eg "F" or "4".
or
click once on the blue tab and wait a bit then click again and then drag.
Experiment when you hit a problem and try anything that vaguely might work. That's how I just discovered this.
You will notice the selection appearance changes with each click.

Ai CS4 & CS5: Can't move objects, huge memory usage. Tips?

Okay guys this is my first post here, so bear with me.
I'm just wondering if anyone can give guidance or refer me somewhere I can find a solution. I both CS4 and CS5 of Ai installed on my mac. Everything works just great, until I attempt to move an object. Something simple as a single line with freeze my system if I attempt to move it from one location to another.
It is odd. I can scale/transform objects without any issue. Its just when I click an object to drag it to another location my system will freeze for about 5 seconds. The object won't move still. I opened up Activity Monitor and noticed my Memory usage sky rocketed as soon as I tried to move the object.
Is there configurations for memory allocation in Illustrator like there is in photshop?
(PS I have 3GB RAM and a 120GB HDD with 30GB free space, 2.0 Intel Core 2 processor, it's a 2007 Mac Mini)

How big is the file? and is it complex if so then you simply do not have the resources. Also you might have a font cache issue.
But I think the lack of resources.

CS4 Mac - File Dialog Moves Flash Window Down

I have Flash CS4 10.0.1.545 Mac with OS X 10.5.6:
I have the standard Workspace and when I select Import to import an image, the open file dialog in OS X slides down from the top of the stage and the entire Flash window that is holding my timeline and stage moves down about 100 pixels. I then import, then I click the top of the window to move it back up and it snaps back instantly as soon as I click on it before I drag it up.
Anyone else getting this on the Mac?

The only way to avoid this is to resize the dialog so that it's so short it doesn't go down past the Dock. Since this dialog spawns at the top of the stage, putting the timeline at the bottom instead of the top helps.

Changing plat forms from Win to Mac, Can we move 6 x Win licensed versions of Acrobat Pro 9 to Mac?

There is no normal upgrade path, all usual purchases stay in the same platform. So you could upgrade to Acrobat Pro 11 for Windows.
However, there is such a thing as a "crossgrade" to cross platforms. If you had Acrobat Pro 11 for Windows, and contacted Adobe they MIGHT sell a crossgrade. Equally they MIGHT sell you a crossgrade from Acrobat Pro 9 Windows to Acrobat Pro 11 Mac. They will not sell, so far as we hear, a crossgrade from Acrobat Pro 9 Windows to Acrobat Pro 9 Mac; licenses for unsupported versions are never sold.
You might also want to look at volume licensing.

In Pages can you reorder the rows in a table?

I'm creating a song set list in a table Pages (showing song titles and composers, etc), which I want to change the order of the songs and play with the order. Is it possible to grab rows and move them around? Or are you stuck with the order that you created?

Click & hold for a half second or so until the hand becomes a fist, then drag. You can select one or more cells/rows. If the location you're dragging to isn't empty, the contents will be replaced.
