CS4 Premium Design to CS5 Standard?

Hi,
I currently have CS4 premium design package I got for my school classes.
Now they have updated to CS5.
The only problem is I know I have to update the suite because it's under a student license.
However, I want to update it to CS5 standard rather than CS5 premium design. Is it still possible to keep CS4 dreamweaver?
If I uninstall CS4 premium and install CS5 Standard can I reinstall Dreamweaver CS4?
Also, I'm not sure if my computer will work with it I know I have enough RAM but here are my computer specs:
Windows Vista Home Premium (Service pack 2)
Processor: Intel(R) core (TM)2 cpu T7600 @2.33 GHz 2.33GHz
Memory RAM: 4GB
System type: 32-bit
Graphics card:
NVIDIA GeForce GO 7950 GTX
core clock: 575MHz
Memory clock: 600MHz (1200 MHz data rate)
Memory interface: 256-bit
Dedicated Video memory: 512 MB
Total available graphics: 1919MB
I requested the CS5 Design Standard under student licensing and I still have a few days to send them my proof, I just need to make sure I can still use my Dreamweaver CS4 along with the Photoshop and Illustrator CS5 or if I have to get the premium upgrade instead and if my computer can handle the programs.
Thank you,
Amanda

Thank you!
=)

  • Acrobat didn't install properly with CS4 Premium Design package. Help?

I apologize, but I have been so frustrated with technology lately, because I have been having the worst luck it seems.
I have the Creative Suite 4 Premium Design package.
I had NO idea that Acrobat Professional was included, because it has never appeared on my computer.
Now, I find out - 4-5 months later that I DO have it, but WHY can't I use it?
So, I called Adobe support yesterday, and they suggested that I try to reinstall JUST Acrobat Professional.
I will have to get the original CD from my parent's home, and that will take another week or so.
Q: Sorry for the long explanation, but HAS anyone else had this problem with Acrobat?
Q:  What is acrobat.com that keeps appearing in my programs, but not the Acrobat Professional?
Can anyone/someone please give me some feedback?
Thank you greatly for your time and help!

I forgot to add (i'm sorry)-
I'm running Windows Vista Home Edition.
    Thank you!

  • CS Design & Web Premium Upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 on DVD

I would like to order a CS Design & Web Premium Upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 (int. english, MAC) in the Adobe Shop.
I have a really low internet connection and can not download 4+GB, it does not work. Even files over 20MB are pure horror.
So why I can not order a DVD, I don't understand what's the problem to sell a DVD to customers?
    Regards,
    Bodo

Is it one file which I can do on an USB stick, and that file is ready for install?
Can I also burn it to DVD, or the file is too big to burn to DVD?

  • Can I install Web Standard CS4 and Design Standard CS4 on the same machine?

Can I install Web Standard CS4 and Design Standard CS4 on the same machine?  My company purchased me a copy of one, and I have a personal copy of the other.  Wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any serial number problems in any case...thanks!

Yes, but do a custom install to choose the apps to install to avoid any possibility of conflicts.

  • MAC UPGRADE FROM CS4 STANDARD TO CS5 STANDARD OR EXTENDED

    Hello,
I'm interested to find out how to MAC UPGRADE FROM CS4 STANDARD TO CS5 STANDARD OR EXTENDED. Its my intention to buy the upgrade not thru
download, but purchasing the dvd's needed eventually used if necessary.
    Thank you

No, forget it. Adobe only sells current versions. How would you even be able to buy a used upgrade that is tied to someone else's previous version? Makes no sense at all and is clearly a breach of the EULA - whoever may sell you this "upgrade" would have to include all his previous versions leading up to that point, making it a completely independent full license that has no relation whatsoever to your CS4. And you would still have to run the license transfer drill.

  • Upgrade CS4 Extended to CS5 Standard

Does anyone know if I can upgrade my CS4 extended version to the CS5 Standard?  I don't think I will use much of the Extended portion.  It talks about 3d capabilities, etc but I am a San Diego photographer and I don't need that stuff.
    Any pointers are appreciated.

    Yes you can.
    From the Adobe Store:

  • Design Standard, and Design Premium, Design Web, and Web Premium don't show up as applications we can package in Creative Cloud Packager. What app replaces these in CC?

Using our Enterprise License key Design Standard, and Design Premium, Design Web, and Web Premium don't show up as applications we can package in Creative Cloud Packager. What apps replaces these in CC?

If your machine does not meet the tech specs for an application, the application will not be listed/offered in the manager.  In this case Premiere Pro CC is a 64-bit application and your machine is 32-bit.

  • Upgrading to CS5 Premium from CS4 Premium

I am running CS4 Premium now, but would like to know if my system will run the new CS5.

You might want to ask in the forums for the products that you are experiencing issue with. This forum is for suite specific issues only and you're not likely to get much attention here.

  • Can't open Reader V9. Says part of suite (CS4 Web Design), need to open other module.  but getting error message 148.3

I'm running Windows 8.1.  I had to create a new account identity because of some corrupted files.  Now I can't open Reader V9. Message comes up saying it's part of a Suite (CS4 Web Design) and I need to open other module first.  I tried opening Dreamweaver, got error message 148.3 and program closes, says to contact customer support.  My CS4 Seb design suite is old and I've since gotten PS Extended CS5 and PS Extended CS6, but not a whole Suite.  Perhaps the license needs to be re-entered but the program closes before I can do anything.  Please advise.

What is your operating system?  Can you post a screenshot of that message: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1070933
I also think you should use a newer Reader version on Windows 8.x, i.e. 10.1.10 or 11.0.07.

  • Recently I purchased CS4 Web Design can I deactivated my old Photo. CS4 and Illust. CS3 to sell/gift

I have a full version of CS4 Web Design Premium, now my old Photoshop CS4 and Illustrator CS3 are redundant.  Can I either sell these or give as a gift to my girlfriend's nephew - they have been deactivated and removed from my computer (macbook pro).
Thanks for your insight and help!

You may sell or otherwise transfer the individual Photoshop and Illustrator products unless (1) one or the other was used as the basis to do an upgrade to the suite itself or (2) those products were student or academic versions or part of a bulk commercial license.
Make sure you transfer registration of the software using the forms available from Adobe's website.

  • Download adobe design std cs5.5

    Hi,
I'm mattia. Where can i download the adobe design std cs5.5 for mac? thanks

You can download the trial installer directly from the link below. You will need to be on a trial download page in order to use the links, otherwise you will get an error message. For example load up the following page: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=production_premium before pasting the link into the address bar and login with your adobe id and then cancel the download. Then open the below link and try downloading the application.

  • Laptop for Adobe CS5 Standard

I am in the sign industry and we are starting to get into the digital print aspect of it. I'm looking forward to using CS5 Standard for most of the work. I need a laptop to do this as I need to be able to work in multiple locations. I found an ASUS G73JH-B1. The specs are as follows:
    Windows 7 Home Preminum (64-Bit)
    Intel i7 740 Quad Core
    17.3" Full HD Widescreed (1920x1080)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 VRAM
    1 TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive (500GB x 2) HDD
    Blue Ray Combo Drive
My question is, is it too much for CS5 Standard? I mean do I need something this powerful or can I get away with something like a Dual Core i5?

    CS5 Design Standard?
Then yes, that machine will be more than adequate as long has it has plenty of RAM. So would the i5.

  • Upgrading From CS3 to CS5 Standard

    Hi,
Was intending to wait until CS6 came out to upgrade, but now that's no longer possible, I've ordered a CS5 standard upgrade edition. One of the main reasons for upgrading is to get the latest camera raw for my new camera.
Anyone care to give me a heads up on the new features I'll find in CS5 that would be of interest to an advanced photographer who has been using Photoshop since version 3?
    Thanks for any info.

Not sure whether you're hoping for a roll-up of all the advertisements for two major versions or just some highlights...  I'm willing to do a bit of the latter...
If you're fond of painting distracting elements out of images, you'll find Content Aware Fill really works.  Content Aware Scaling (that was new in CS4) has its moments as well.
Puppet Warp has its moments.  It's useful for unexpected things sometimes, such as straightening out things in panoramas.
Lots of new OpenGL-based GPU features that (assuming your computer is up to the task) make the interactive experience quite nicely improved.
The Mixer Brush and some other neat brush features that improve the paiting experience.
PhotoMerge works better than ever, though it may be a bit more demanding on your computer.
New Tabbed View (new in CS4).  You'll have to reconfigure it to get back to a multi-windowed view, and you may not find that even with that reconfiguration you really like the way it works.  It WILL take some getting used to, but take it from another who's used Photoshop since 3.0, it CAN be done, and it's really pretty good once you've gotten over the speed bump.  You may find, as I did, that you ultimately like Tabbed View better.
Named workspaces, so you can set up for different modes of operation or quickly return your desktop layout to one you're familiar with.
New Camera Raw capabilities, including a slick new 2010 mode that digs slightly more accurate detail out of your raw file.
What video card do you have and what OS are you running on the system you're planning to use for Photoshop CS5.1?
