Cs4 problems

I am working on a page to list my feed items on a news page
as well as the feed, that way I only have to add the item once, but
I am having a great deal of trouble. It looks ok in live view, but
when I upload, IE looks terrible, FF looks ok though.
I have also been getting a wierd random popup error when
trying to set up the xml
"While executing findDynamicSources in SpryDataSet.htm, a
JavaScript error occurred."
I had CS3 and never had any problems with inserting spry, it
worked great, somehow this CS4 does not do it the same....shrug
I also have one more question, I want to limit the page to
2009 news releases, but leave the 2008's to display in the
feed....does anyone know how to do that?
I found this, but I want to filter by year

Thanks, though I did try the CData tags, and it had no effect
on the display in IE. This is code straight from the spry data
wizard in Dreamweaver CS4, and
it looks fine in live view, and in all browsers I checked
except Opera....It just looks wierd in IE, and I don't see why -
the css is fairly simple, and I have validated the page....not sure
what else to do.
The reason I am doing it this way is to simplifiy the
entering of news items. I was putting them on the news page and
then on the rss feed, this way I only have to put them on the rss
feed. My boss wants me to use the ssrss.exe to do this, as
sometimes other people have to upload news items when I am not here
and they wouldn't understand CDATA tags and what not, but the ssrss
puts the code for them.....
