CS4- properties panel not displayed correctly

I just installed Dreamweaver v10. The properties panel information is being clipped. Does anyone else have this problem?

make sure your dpi is set to default 96 dpi, I had this problem because working with a small screen and old eyes, I adjusted my font size, had to set back to default 96dpi, hope this helps

As an FYI: Adobe discontinued developing the Spry framework last year. And Spry was removed from DW CC. You can keep using Spry if you wish, but most of us have switched to other solutions that work better in IE10 and Touch Screens.

CS4 properties panel not completely visible

The dreamweaver CS4 properties panel is not completely
visible, some parts of it don't show up completely. In vista I have
my fonts set at 110%, 106 dpi. When I change them back to 100%
96dpi, it becomes visible.
I'm just curious why doesn't dreamweaver CS4 scale to larger
fonts, just like other applications? Is there some way to fix this?
I'd prefer to use larger system fonts, since their easier on the
eyes.

Unfortunately Adobe is notorious for not following Windows
standard APIs. It
is unlikely they will fix the issue anytime soon.

Swing Panels-not displaying correctly

I have created a GUI using Panels. Panels are created at runtime and added to the GUI dynamically.
But content of these panels are not displayed properly. For beg. some items appear only when I move the mouse over them. When I resize the GUI, content of the Panels are disappeared.

In the future, Swing related questions should be posted in the Swing forum.
Panels are created at runtime and added to the GUI dynamically.You need to use the revalidate() method on the Container that you add the panels to. This will cause the LayoutManager to be invoked and all the panels will be repainted in there new location.

Navigation panel not displaying correctly

Hi!
I've had this acrobat 9 pro problem for a few months but it's finally gotten to me - information displayed in the navigation panel (IE - layers, bookmarks, examine document etc) do not display properly. I can't really describe it, so here are some screen grabs. I've tried resetting the navigational pane but to no avail.
Is this an issue that has come up before? How can i resolve it?

Please try updating to the patch 9.5.5 and check.
I have seen such an issue on Mac Mavericks but again that's not a supported environment for Acrobat 9

InDesign CS4 page numbering not displaying correctly in Pages Panel

Hello,
I searched the forums for a solution to my problem before posting. I am sorry if I'm doubling someone's question but here I go:
I noticed this problem I have about 6 month ago. When I create a simple document with automatic page numbering everything is fine. When I try and create a section (i.e. I want my numbering to start at 1 at page 3) it actually works however in the Pages Panel the pages are displayed with their basic numbers. You will agree this is rather confusing. I've tryed different files, same files on different computers and so on. The problem has to do with my installation of InDesign CS4 and I suppose it's some kind of a display option I accidentally turned on.
Could someone please suggest a solution? Thank you!

CS4 GUI does not display correctly

I'm using the trial version of Dreamweaver CS4 on a Thinkpad
T60 with XP Pro SP3. My monitor is 1280 x 1024 and the fonts size
is set to Large (which may be the source of this problem.)
When I am using Dreamweaver, the window at the bottom of the
screen, the one with a tab labeled Properties, does no fully
display. The second line of data entry boxes, the ones labeled ID
and Link are partially cut off. There does not seem to be any way
to increase the size of that window and I also don't know if there
are more than 2 lines.
Is this a font size issue? is there any fix, other than using
normal size fonts?

Adobe applications unfortunately do not adhere to OS UI
standards.

Save options panel not displaying correctly on a mac - photoshop CS6

I am finding that when using photoshop cs6 on a mac and when saving files as png or web files - the options panel displays as black and you are unable to see any of the options.

Are Photoshop and OS fully updated?
As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed) by keeping command-alt-shift pressed on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for such tasks.

Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)

If 3rd party plug-ins are installed try disabling them to verify if one of those may be responsible for the problem.

Collapsible Panel not displaying correctly in IE

I have a collapsible panel in a link list that functions
properly in FF, Safari and Opera but completely falls apart in IE 6
and 7. Does anyone know what would cause this or how to fix it? I
thought that swfobject might be interfering with spry in some way
but the problem persisted even after I remove the flash content and
script links.

However I think I discovered my problem. I had the widget
inside ul tags which seemed to make it disappear in IE. I'm
experimenting now and seem to be finding a solution by moving the
list items around. I'd say I have a solution.

Twitter Bootstrap not displaying correctly in Live View in DW CS4

I am having a problem with Twitter Bootstrap templates not displaying correctly in Live View in Dreamweaver CS4. They look more correct with Live View turned off than on. When I turn Live View on, it looks as if it's not finding a style sheet or something, but they are all href'ed properly. Is there a way to fix this?

Did you preview the site in various browsers and check the display? You are using an older version of DW, and I am not sure if the Webkit engine supports bootstrap code.

DW cs4 not displaying correctly in IE9

I built a site in DW cs4 it does not display properly in IE9, am I missing code?
The website works great in Safari, FireFox, Google Chrome and then it goes wackie in IE9 ( and earlier IE)

Looks quite bad in Firefox with increased text-size.
This is caused by your liberal use of position:absolute and explicit height values on containers. For the web, this is a recipe for disaster. It's much better if you don't use any positioning or height values. Web pages must be flexible; not rigid.

Search box not displaying correctly in Safari

How can the search bar on the Apple site not display correctly in Safari? I find this odd that Apple would allow this. It displays like 2 search boxes overlapping each other. It still functions correctly but it is a little embarrassing since I am always bashing windows pro browser display.

Might be a corrupted cache or cookies issue. First, go to Safari Preferences>Security>Show Cookies. Type Apple in the Spotlight panel. Highlight/remove the cookies. Then, go to the Safari Menu>Empty Cache. Try the Apple site.
If the double search panel still appears, go to the Finder: Your User Account>Library>Caches. There, move to the trash the com.apple.safari file. Restart Safari and try the Apple site again.

Report Links in OBIEE 11g Dashboard not displayed correctly

In the Dashboard pages the Report Links for Export are not displayed correctly .
Instead of showing the multiple options for export/download it shows just text.

It can be done by doing below steps.
1) before doing this take a backup of instanconfig.xml file and do the below changes...
You can configure various options that change the way that right-click interactions are handled in views for an analysis at runtime. The elements in the instanceconfig.xml file specify the default settings for a new or upgraded analysis. You can edit the properties of an analysis in Presentation Services to modify how the analysis handles right-click interactions in views.
Before you begin this procedure, ensure that you are familiar with the information in Section 3.4, "Using a Text Editor to Update Configuration Settings."
To manually configure for interactions in views:
2) C:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\instanceconfig.xml
Open the instanceconfig.xml file for editing,

Thai characters not displaying correctly within App

Hi everyone,
I have a Adobe Flex Mobile app displays Thai text, however this is not displaying correctly. While developing the App on my Windows machine and testing using the Adobe Flash Builder mobile emulator, the font/characters look correct.
However when running the app on either the MAC Adobe Flash Builder emulator, the iPhone simulator or on an actual iPhone, the font/characters are incorrect.
First I thought that it was maybe an encoding issue (I am using locale properties files to replace text), so followed instructions at this website Flash Builder, Flex language bundles showing strange symbols. Not utf8 encoded.Sefol however this did not solve the issue.
Looking more closely at the text rendered, it looks as though all of the characters for each word are actually being rendered, but they are just being rendered in correctly. Where as if it was a encoding issue then it would be missing characters completely.
So if you look at the first character, in the correct version it is built up of 3 components. If you look at the second image, you can see that these three components are present but just not all appearing within one character.
Is this a font issue? or is it actually an encoding/rendering issue?
My code for testing this is just a simple label tag

Ok so after doing a bit more of an investigation into the Font being the issue and not the encoding type, it seems as though if I use a specific font which I know has the Thai characters, then they are displayed correctly.
I have embedded the font into the App using the code:
[Embed(source="../assets/Kinnari.ttf", mimeType="application/x-font", embedAsCFF="true", fontFamily="ThaiFont")]
private var ThaiFont:Class;
Then on my UI I have added the font:
<s:Label text="ชื่อผู้ใช้" fontFamily="Arial" fontSize="12" fontFamily="ThaiFont" />
I was able to find this font at a Hawaiian Educational website! Thai fonts :: Thai Language Program, University of Hawai'i, Manoa

Flash movie not displayed correctly in IE 8 on some Windows OS

Has anyone seen this problem?
I'm using CS4 to export a basic flash movie with embed tags pre scripted...
And the issue is that on some OS systems using Vista or Windows 7 and IE 8 as a primary browser, it appears that IE 8 is not displaying the flash banner completely.... its CROPPING it off... This is very strange because the banner works fine in FireFox, IE7,Opera,Chrome but not I.E.8 on some OS systems...
If you google "Flash not displaying correctly in IE 8" you'll get alot of people with the same issues but no real definate fix...
Are there any suggestions as to what i could try?
Do i need different flash embed tags? Or is this a user issue?
Please Advise as soon as possible...

I'm sorry, i forgot to explain that I didn't upload the flash published html because it did and produced the exact same results.
The flash published still got cropped off on 1 vista os(I.E 8) running from a laptop and 1 windows 7(I.E. 8) latop os...
Its good to hear that you're able to see it clearly... however in my QA efforts, i've been asked to fix the issue or drop the flash banner all together.
I've tried every which way, i've even converted the embed tags (not uploaded by the way) to a js script and it STILL gets cropped of on 2 ie8 run OS systems...
And now i'm not sure what else to try on my end.
I'm currious if because this is an XML driven flash banner, this may be an issue? But it still doesn't explain why some people can see this in IE 8 as you can and others get a cropped banner like in my screen shot sample.
Again i invite everyone in the forum to take a look at the sample links, as i'd be curious to see who else is seeing this.
By the way "kglad" Thank you so much... please keep the suggestions coming... but everything you've suggested, i've tried.
This is very perplexing. Is this a setting issue? or is there some setting on the user side i'm not aware of? Either way, as usual... the flash developer is blamed so i must find a solution.
