CS4 software serial number

Installed my cs4 software on new mac but serial number is not being recognised. I have de installed from previous mac about 12 hours ago. Do I need to do anything else to allow it to work? Currently only trial version operating.

Lost Software Serial Number!!

Hi, I have a problem. Recently I had to re-install everything on my MBA.
Only today I tried to use Pages but it ask me to buy it or to have a 30 days trial.
The problem is that I bouth the Software serial number in 2007 and I don't have it with me anymore.
Is there a way to get it back??

If you bought the serial number electronically, you can get the serial number from the list of online purchases in your Apple Store account. Go to the Store tab at the top of this page, click Account (small, faint gray word next to the cart icon in the upper right), click on Downloadable Software Purchases & sign in.
If not & you have a backup of HD > Library > Preferences (the main HD Library, not a user Library) copy the com.apple.iwork.plist to the same location on your MBA.

CS4 suite serial number does not work for Adobe Acrobat Pro

I am looking for a solution for the serial number issue I am having with Adobe Acrobat Pro. All of other programs within the suite open fine, but when I open Adobe Acrobat Pro it asks for a serial number. When I type in the serial number, I am given a red "X".
I have called customer support, but they haven't been able to give me any information that will resolve my issue (uninstalled 4 times now). I have Vista and have looked online and on the Adobe website to find a solution. It looks like others are having the same issue from what I can tell while searching. I have run the script too and then reinstalled, but still nothing.

After some stupid upgrade in my computer (who knows as Microsoft is always doing something), my Acrobat 9 in CS4 stopped working. The error message said to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat. So I went through the control panel and uninstalled it. I then loaded the CD and reinstalled. However the reinstall would NOT accept the orginal serial number. I called Adobe and they gave me a different serial number. Before I let the guy nof the line I tried the number and it did NOT work! So then he gave me another number which asked for the previous verison- apparently it was an upgrade number. Luckily I had my old CS3 software and I gave it that number and then it accepted the install. The program now works BUT there is no longer any ADD/REMOVE choice in the CS4 suite in the control panel. There is no way to automatically remove this program anymore! What a mess.
After reading some of the installation problems others have had and no solutions, I count myself lucky! At least I was able to get the program running.
Therefore my advise on the serial number problem is to get Adobe on the phonen and get them to give you a number that will work, and don't hang up until you know the program is working!
If anyone knows how to add the Acrobat to the the add/remove functions in the control panel, please let me know!

Reinstalling Photoshop CS4 invalid serial number

I have had this software since 2008. It has been running on the same PC for the last five years, now I have finally upgraded the PC, my serial number is invalid and wont activate. Customer service chat says its an incorrect number and could I provide Proof of Purchase (?) Are you kidding me?! They don't show the software was registered -ever- then why was it functioning just fine for the last five years?! To make matters worse, India chat hung up on me -twice!! So I get to thinking, I wonder what our corporate serial numbers say on the Adobe Volume Licensing site -guess what?! They're invalid too!! Coincidence?! I think not! I want an answer as why any serial number I enter from Creative Suite 2 Premium, Technical Suites 2, 3 and 3.5 and a privately owned Photoshop CS4 Extended are ALL invalid according to Adobe?! Is there a translation error from English to Hindi?! Or are your corporate systems so screwed up, you have no clue as to what is a valid serial number and what is not, so you just lead them around and around and around until you just hang up on them or they get so frustrated and angry, they go get a pirated version and generate a key so they never have to speak to you again. I'm certainly not spending another $800 on another Adobe product that may or may not have a valid key. I want the key I legally own validated!! Today!!!

I too have just been victimized by this same scenario, Windows XP machine replaced by a Windows 7 machine, installed CS4 extended to new machine, no serial # acceptance, deactivated XP CS4, reinstalled CS4 on to Win 7 machine, deleted Adobe PCD cache as seen on blogs and chats, activated Win 7 CS4 and it still tells me invalid serial #'s. Advertise a phone number that allows us to speak to a human being that knows what to do! Don't use delay tactics like people in India that can't make decisions or hope people just give up and buy a new software package!
This is a situation that has me disappointed in Adobe. I always had great performance and stable software until now. And to find out how difficult it is to rectify the problem only because of Adobe's unwillingness to do so is really sad. This is how companies fail, People will spread the word if something is not done to correct and or at least set up a means to help those suffering this debacle.
I for one, am fed up with the hunt and peck search online for an answer and the lack of getting hold of an English speaking person that has a solution that will correct ADOBE'S mistake here. I, like so many I have read about, have a valid copy/ license of CS4 Extended and have only used it on 1 computer until now for many years. We are licensed to use on two computers at a time at different locations, up to 20 reinstalls! This record of valid users and serial numbers is an easy archive by Adobe and should be self explanatory to anyone that researches it. Activated year one on one computer, used for many years on same computer, being activated on a new computer due to Windows XP no longer being supported! How difficult is that? What makes my serial numbers invalid? No one is accusing me of being a thief or Pirate, Adobe just made my serial numbers invalid for no good reason and I have to spend many frustrating hours chasing it down a dead end road! Adobe! See the problem and come forward with a place users can go for a centralized solution! I am a professional that can not afford this interruption to my schedule. A class action law suit is sure to follow if something is not done soon.
Bad press is sure to follow. Your loyal customers will look elsewhere for what they need. I can't believe this is the plan.

This software is expensive to buy originally. This software may just get a reputation that it is too expensive to purchase if Adobe is going to randomly shut it down by any claim they choose. Abuse of power? yes! A company that does this sort of extortion to it's loyal clients won't be around long. If this is a way to force users to upgrade or pay more money to Adobe for a product they invested in years ago, with the expectation of uninterrupted use until the clients chose to upgrade, than shame on the corporate persons behind it. If this is just a bad string of poor judgement, than fix it fast- make a solution for the damage being done to your loyal customers.
There are many other software solutions out there that do many of the same things for a lot less money than Adobe. Without the professional support of their product in the long run, Adobe may be just be another Greedy corporate monster that WAS!
Prove me right in my being a satisfied long term customer, believing Adobe supports its products long term, and fix this serial number problem. My new computer and the old computer are both without a working CS4 system now. What are you going to do about this major software BUG?

Adobe CS4 rejects serial number

Dear all,
I originally bought the CS4 package a few years ago. I have now upgraded to a newer computer (Apple PowerBook running OSX 10.9), and re-installed CS4 on this computer. However, I can not get the newly installed copy to work (except as a demo) because the programs tell me that the serial number I enter is not valid (it is also marked with a red cross after the number immediately after I enter the last digit, so I do not think this a problem with reaching the Adobe website).
Of course the software is old and all - but I would still like to be able to use it. What could be the issue, and how can it be resolved? Is it still possible to get CS4 activated or is it simply too old?

CS4 Acrobat Serial number not working on reinstall (new Mac)

I'm using Acrobat as part of CS4. It was a gift from a fellow creative friend. The install worked back in 2009 on my previous Mac. For some reason, the serial number no longer works when I go to run Acrobat. It's been rejecting the serial number on the CS4 package for months, now.
Help? I hardly use the software (I've a toddler) but I do need Acrobat's functionality once in a while. Thanks in advance!

Did you actually install the whole suite or is the Acrobat running on a separate serial? Ever had any trial versions on the system?

Reinstalling student edition cs4 without serial number

im having trouble reinstalling my student edition of adobe cs4, bought back in 2009.... it asks for a serial number i dont have. i have given customer service a coupon number and case number but they still cannot assist me with proof of purchase... what to do??? i am legitimate

Thanks milenium. Yes I know I had it once. Back then I didnt even know how to turn my computer on so I payed an IT guy to do the whole installation. I do recall having something on the box but didnt keep it. All I have is a coupon number and and case number that I was told to keep which isnt helping. Im out of ideas.can someone please help me.. I just got a new computer from parents for xmas and cant do any work without this installation. How else can I prove it?

After reinstalling CS4 my serial number is now 'invalid'

I reinstalled CS4 on my MBP to sort out some stability issues. When prompted to enter the serial number, I did. This is a valid educational serial number obtained legally and properly. It has been working for several years now and I have reinstalled before without issue. I believe I need Adobe to somehow reset or provide a new serial number, but I cannot find a way to actually get in contact with customer care. Every trail I follow on the customer care website leads me back to the forums.

Hi i installed PS CS4 on a new computer and it wont take the serial numb. says its invalid.

Fellow users can help you understand the problem (likely that you've used up your 2 available activations), but you'll need to call Adobe Customer Support to resolve the issue.

Indesign CS2 personalize software serial number error

ok this is my 2nd time installing Indesign in my computer, but i keep getting an invalid serial number, its the right serial because thats what i used to install it, then when i try to run indesign its asking me for a serial number again to "Personalize the software" its the same serial and its giving me invalid.
I tried the cacls command and the disk clean up on the adobe help, but none of that worked, I need help please i really need to use it, thanks..

How can I repair software serial number problems

Some of my third party software has stopped working. Serial numbers are corrupt. Quark, Photoshop, FileMaker in particular. Filemaker error - A general activation error has occured ( -76 ). Quark error - The activation for this copy of QuarkXpress has been corrupted. You will need to reinstall this copy of QuarkXpress. I read the agreement too quickly. It first says:

SOFTWARE SERIAL NUMBER REQUEST??

Hi all
This morning when I started up Motion 3 it asked me to enter my serial number. The timing of this request is quite bizarre as I installed the FCS 2.0 update months ago, and have used Motion 3 many times since then. I have not recently software update the application either [ie Software Update for incremental BUP]. Anyhow, my point is that I tried entering my original Motion Serial Number [from when it was a standalone app], then the FCP Production Suite Serial Number, then FCS 2.0 Upgrade Serial Number and NONE OF THESE WERE VALID as per the message!
Does anyone know what serial number / version etc it is asking for because they are all valid!!!! and not some dodgy copy that some kid's been distributing illegally!!!
FUNNY THING HOWEVER, this serial request occured when opening Motion 3 from the application icon situated on my dock - I then tried opening Motion 3 from my most recent project [the one I need to work on immediately] and it opened without problem / without asking for my serial number [whichever one it is referring to that is!].
ANY IDEAS, this is very concerning...
Motion version 3.0.1, FCP 6.0.1 etc

Yes many valid licences for all versions since FCP 1.0!
One of the main reasons I've posted this enquiry too is to see if it happening to other users...
FUNNY THING IS, about half an hour later I attempted to reopen Motion via the App Icon on the Dock and it opened up without an issue... Quite bizarre.
So in summary,
1. could not open via dock application icon without asking for serial numbers which when entered did not validate
2. could then open motion via double clicking on an existing project
3. then 1/2 hour later could open motion via dock application icon without prompt for serial number
Fortunately it is working now, but I hope it does not occur again when I am under more pressure than this morning. I will get in touch with apple and post their reply / the path taken, if any, to ensure there is no repeat of the issue.

CS4 Extended Serial Number issue

while registering CS4 Extended I have a problem. As Upgrade Version only CS3 Extended is shown, not my valid CS3.
Any ideas?

Reinstall of Photoshop CS4 extended serial number error

I got the program reinstalled; it has been installed and registered before, I've used it for years. Now I receive a invalid serial number and am locked out of the program. I have not been on the Adobe website for a long time but when I went there today my product registration which I believe was there wasn't today. I attempted to re-register but got invalid serial number. I installed the product back in 2009? and registered it then with no problem. I sure would appreciate some help. The product is a box set (two disks) and clearly has the serial number printed on the back of the case. It has other information on the bottom of the box PN: number and lot code and more.
I have had a virus/malware so my Win 7 64 bit Pro is a new install.

Pre-populate CS4 installer serial number

Ive used the Adobe Create Suite 4 Deployment Toolkit to create a silent
installer for Photoshop. While this will be useful for unattended
installations, I am also looking for a way to control a manual
installation, filling in the serial number for the technician, and not
installing Photoshop silently. Is there a way to do this?
