Cs4 tabs too hard to see

hi
I really hate the apple style black text on dark grey tabs.
It just
doesn't provide enough contrast for my poor eyes. Is there a
way to
change this?
thanks

I don't think so. Adobe tends to ignore interface design
conventions. I'm
amazed they haven't been sued yet for accessibility issues
but I guess most
users are young with good vision.

  • How can I change the grey colour of all window headings they're too hard to see?

how can I change the grey colour of all window headings they're too hard to see?

    Hi Chris,
The only way that I know of to change the colour of the window headings, these,
is in the System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing > Display and change the White on Black settings, using grey scale in there to helps, but it also opens a hole lot of other issues as it reverses all colours throughout the system. You can switch it back and forth as shown on this setup screen.
Other than that, maybe changing the screen resolution so that all items are larger or zooming the screen when you require it by holding the Control button and scrolling the mouse or two finger scroll on the trackpad.
There may be, of course, a third party app that changes the colours by searching google.
    Hope this helps

  • 5.0 Toolbar & menu are too hard to see. How do I get back to prior version or change them?

Menus and toolbar in version 5.0 have white or black on gray. I can't read them. How do I change them or how do I go back to the prior version of Thunderbird?

I think this is the trend, where you can't avoid updates. It's for your safety.

  • TOC Overlay tab hard to see

I'm using the TOC in overlay mode and, when I publish and view the file, the TOC tab is very hard to see. I don't expect a viewer to notice it or even realize it's anything worth clicking (see below image).  Anyone know of a solution to this ... or workaround?

    Hi there,
Whilst there isn't any way of changing the TOC overlay icon - unfortunately this is something that is generated at run-time. Captivate does include a TOC button in the playback control
If you would like to see a way of customizing the overlay tab in a future version of Adobe Captivate, then please do submit this as a feature request by clicking on the link I have included below.

  • JClient Refresh Question (Am I trying too hard?)

    Environment: Windows 2000, JDeveloper (9.0.3.10.35)
I have a JClient with a bunch of JTextFields bound to my BC4J app. I perform all of my business logic calculations/validations in the entity objects. I have some entity calculated attributes and these are calculating just fine. However, I also do some more complex calculations and manually set these entity attributes (about 5 of them). These calculations are triggered whenever a user modifies a textfield...
My problem is that whenever I modify a textfield, the calculations are performed, the entity attributes updated, but they aren't shown/refreshed in the client. Hmmm... Here are some of the things I've been trying:
    - Override sourceChanged() in my view implementation. Ok, I can see "attribute changed" events, but how do I update the Swing textfield?
    - Got a handle to the iterator binding and forced a refresh from entity->view by calling "navigate(null)".
Calling navigate(null) worked, so I then thought I could add this logic to the sourceChanged() handler but I am not sure about the easiest way to get the iterator binding from the view implementation. Hmmm... I think I'm making this way too hard... Am I missing something totally basic here? Any suggestions would be great? Thank you.
BTW, the attributes are marked as updateable in both entity and view.

I've done some more debugging, looking into the areas you referred me to... I think I have stumbled across the "eventing mechanism bug" between EO and VO when subclassing is involved (Re: package in all_objects shows invalid but compiles fine
). I failed to mention that I was using a polymorphic rowset because I didn't think it was relevant (shouldn't have assumed...)
    Here's what I've verified:
When I set an attribute in the entity with no subclassing, notifyRowUpdated() is called in the view object. However, if the entity is a subclass, notifyRowUpdated() isn't called.
Your first question may be if I have correctly setup the polymorphic rowset behavior. I think so... I've read all the articles/how to's that I've found about polymorphic rowsets in this discussion group. My "abstract" view points to my abstract entity, and then imports all of the subclasses (defined when you click the "subtypes" button in view object properties window). The discriminator is working and BC4J is instantiating the correct subclass, however, the view isn't getting notified when an entity's attribute is modified (ie, notifyRowUpdated() isn't getting called). This info along with the other link gives us enough to reproduce the bug and as mentioned in the other link, it is targeted for fix in our next release.
The workaround to the "EO/VO eventing bug" was to call executeQuery() to refresh the detail. My problem seems to be in a slightly different context, so I'm not sure exactly what to do. As I had mentioned earlier, calling navigated(null) seemed to refresh the view. Should I pursue this or do you suggest something else? naviated(null) is a fine workaround. JClient bindings simply get the current row from 'the iterator' and displays that so that's effectively a refresh on the control-bindings.
Would you like a small repro case? Thank you. Let us know if you hit any issues with this workaround.
    Thanks

  • Can I hurt my iPhone screen by pressing it too hard during games?

I've got a new baseball game that I love playing, but sometimes I get too excited and mash the buttons. I see the screen react like it does whenever you press an LCD on a laptop or a calculator, for example. Can I damage it by pressing too hard? Obviously normally I don't press that hard, but it's like mashing buttons on a controller, except the controller is a screen.

So I dropped by my Apple store and all of their iPhones do the exact same thing. Strangely enough, the iPod touch doesn't. But the iPhones all do it, so I'm going to assume it's okay. I checked my old iPhone and it actually is worse. I'm not pressing that hard... it just shows up as a quick light or dark spot near where I press it. Weird.

  • I just updated to the newest version of Firefox and now none of my themes work. It's just all white and very hard to see.

I have windows XP, just updated to the newest version and not none of my themes work. It's just all white for my tabs and tool bar. Very hard to see. I've reinstalled the themes and nothing works.
    Any ideas?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

  • Recently 3.6 keeps the tab for the default page and won't let me close it, squeezing new pages to a new tab too narrow to use.

Whatever startup page I specify for 3.6.11, when I attempt to move to a new page (not a new tab), the new page opens as a new tab in the left third or so of the window, with the startup page occupying the rest. The startup-page tab contains no "X" to close it and the close option is greyed out, so I cannot get rid of it or expand the page I want to fill the window. If opening a third page, I can then close the startup page tab but not the new-page tab, so I always have at least two tabs open and cannot see all of the page I want.

Thanks for the heads up, Kappy.
But just so everyone knows: my old Extreme (bought in March 2005!) was working with my laptop (10.9.2) and our ipad Air (7.1) until the cable company pushed through an upgrade. That apparently fried their cable modem (which they replaced with a newer model) and my Extreme. I used Airport Utility 5.5.2 on a 10.6.8 bootable external drive to check its settings, which were unchanged, but it refuses to function properly–its 3 lights flash constantly, which my manual says is abnormal.
Anyway, it had a good run. I've ordered a new AEBS. Does any outfit repair old base stations? I could donate it...

  • When I open a new tab I want to see a blank screen, as I always used to do, instead of seeing a screen populated by recent websites I've visited.

I'm on Firefox 16.0.2. About a week or two ago this change spontaneously happened. When I open a fresh tab, I want to see a blank screen. That's what I'm used to. Now for some reason my new tab is populated with up to nine websites that I visited previously. I do NOT want this! How do I change it back to get a blank screen??

After 04 months of purchase of iphone 5 the lock button is too hard. At times its not working at all. The phone has been purchased in USA now I'm not getting service in India. After all whats the point in spending so much amount without any service.

The warranty says that Apple may restrict service of an iPhone to the country of sale, and any reliable salesperson will tell you that if you tell them that you plan to use the iPhone in another country. Such service restrictions are common with cellphones and are by no means limited to Apple's phones.
Sorry, but if your iPhone requires service, you will need to send it to someone you know in the US who can get it serviced and then send it back to you.
    Regards.

In photoshop elements 13, the bounding box is very light and hard to see.  Is there anyway that this can be darkened?

When my wife first logs in, this is the screen that comes up:
So we hit "Continue" and the next screen comes up:
So then we click "This is Okay" and the next screen comes up:
It doesn't matter what we select here; the next screen is always the following:
And here is where it dead ends. There's no place to enter an alternate name under 40 characters, there's nothing to click on. And this has been happening every time my wife has tried to log in.

  • Is it bent!? Am I too blind to see it?!

Hi, I recently got a 6. Great device, great upgrade from a 4S with iOS8. Apps load instantly, it's big, it's a nice phone... except for the bending issue.
Over the past month I've read a lot about the bend-gate, seen lots of reports. Some of them justified as to why the phone got bent, other people claiming they had their phone in a case, no pocket and it bent. Other people say it needs a reasonable amount of force to bend, others say it's very prone to bending and it can bend like that.
I'm a really OCD person and so I check my phone to see if it's bent almost every day. I know I have a problem. I have never put the phone inside a pocket, never stressed it. The only stress this thing has been under is switching cases and I do that with the most extreme care. For the life of me I cannot see a bend. I've looked at the phone under different light angles, I lay it face down on a surface, it's just dead flat. Pressing it doesn't make it move or wobble. I wasn't even going to stress this, however when I press the edge of the upper right corner, the bottom left corner is GENTLY raised up. Doesn't wobble, but the corner gets raised a bit. I think it's probably the curved screen but I don't know. I tried with my 4S which is obvs supposed to be flat but it does it too!! Weird thing is if I press the bottom left corner the upper right corner doesn't get raised. It's just this one. Other corners do not produce the problem either. Do you think I should be worried about this? Could it actually be a bend I just don't see? Like someone told me the phone is slightly bent and I almost lost my mind.
Ι googled this and found other people with the same thing, 5/5S users and 6/6 Plus too. Upper corner pressed, bottom gets slightly raised up, no visible bending.
I know it's one of these threads that have been created a million times. I'm sorry for taking a forum entry for this, but I would really like to see other people's inputs, if it does it and if it indeed is because of the curved screen. I do think the bending incident was blown out of proportion and I do think the phone won't bend just by sneezing, but when I saw my corner get kinda raised up I started worrying it might be bent and I'm too blind to see it. I'm too OCD for my own good when it comes to this.
Attaching some photos. Please take a look at them and tell me if you see a bend cos I honestly cannot.

If you believe you have a hardware problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store. If you can't even tell if there's something you should be worried about, you probably shouldn't be.

  • It appears that Apple has taken away the ability to highlight, in color, file names, replacing them with just a hard-to-see colored dot. Can I get back the ability to highlight the whole file name in color?!

It appears that Maverick has banishd the ability to highlight, in color, file folder names, replacing the color highlight band with a hard-to-see color dot. Is there a way to get the color-band highlight ability to operate?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Apple has replaced that feature in OS X Mavericks by color tags, so you cannot get it back. The only thing you can do is to send feedback to Apple about it, so they will think about including it in future OS X versions > http://www.apple.com/feedback
