CS4 technical requirements, help needed

I am a complete novice when it comes to stuff like this, so I apologise in advance if the question I'm about to ask may seem a bit stupid.
I saw the following technical requirements for Adobe CS4: 2GHz or faster processor for DV; 3.4GHz for HDV; dual 2.8GHz for HD
Do I need a dual core processor with at least 3.4 ghz to be able to edit HDV, or will a dual 2.8 Ghz meet all of those requirements? Essentially I am wondering if those technical requirements are in ascending order, or just specific to different tasks. Is it a matter of "the more cores the better", or do they have to have at least 3.4 GHz to be able to do the job?
There are 2 laptops I am looking at, at the moment.

Intel Core 2 Duo processor T9600
(2.80Ghz, 1066Mhz, 6MB Cache)
ADVENT 8555 GX
Intel Quad-Core processor Q9000
(2Ghz, 1066Mhz, 6MB Cache)
Would these suit the requirements and if so, which one would be better?

Flash CS4 Quiz Template: Help Needed

My organization uses the Flash CS4 quiz template that is included within the eLearning suite. Everything works great. The quiz loads on the LMS, it gives learners' their scores, etc. The issue we're having is after the score is recorded within the LMS.
If a user fails the quiz, the LMS marks the quiz as 'Completed/Failed'. The LMS (Inquisic EX), then, moves the failed quiz into the 'Completed Courses' tab. I understand why it does this because the 'Completed' mark given refers to the learner having gone through all of the pages within the quiz; however, the learner failed the quiz. If the learner goes back into the quiz and passes it the second time around, the LMS continues to state 'Completed/Failed'.
Does anyone know why this would happen? Are there SCORM settings we ought to change within the source code provided by Adobe?

I have Allocated Qty in Cube1 and Order Qty in Cube2.
I have built a multiprovider on Cube1 and Cube 2 and my report looks like this.

Can any one help me how I can achieve this. Is this possible in BEx. I dont want to go with the change to Database option if this can be done in the Query. I have used the Constant selection feature but it adds up all the values.
Any one has a solution to this? If not possible in BEx what is the best way to do it in the backend at the cube level. This is simple example I have put here but my cubes are much more complex than what I have given here.

The only way you can address this, as I know it, is constant selection which you seem to have done already.
The other solution is to include Sales document in your second cube. This of course means design changes as well as data load. What are the fields that you have in the second cube.
Will you be able to look up Document number from another target or load from the source of your cube? These are the things that you need to consider before starting the changes.

I have installed portal with KM. My requirement is i need to create a folder under Content Administration --> KM Content. I name it as Test Folder.
I need to assign some list of properties ( for example property1,property2,property3...).to the above folder and i want to search for documents based on these properties.
I have installed TREX.
Is it possible to assign properties to the KM Content --> Test Folder.? Whr r u?
Can I search the above uploaded document through search?

So for your custom properties you should define Folder Validity Patterns, so that the property is valid for the specified folder and all subfolders.
To search your custom properties, you should extend the Search Options set of your standard search:

Adobe Illustrator CS4 [TAdd] Error HELP NEEDED!

I recently restored my HP Workstation and began the process of installing Adobe CS4. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until I clicked both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat.
Adobe Illustraitor presents the [TAdd] Error while it is loading up the font menu during it's opening.
I've been looking all over for answers and so far haven't found any. Please help!

I'm not sure about the [TAdd] error, but if it's crashing while loading fonts, it's likely to be corrupt font caches.

CS4 Div Tags Help Needed

I just upgraded to CS4. In dreamweaver I am trying to build a
site that I designed in Photoshop to Dreamweaver using all Div
Tags. I can get the container to center, but when I place other
divs on top, they wont stay where I put them. I have taken absolute
positioning off, but then they fly off position totally. How to get
around this? I have tried relative, fixed and inherit, all with the
same result. I just cant figure it out. Can anyone help me?

Freqeuent CS4 Crashes-Troubleshooting help needed

Constant crashes in Illustrator CS4 on a Mac are driving me crazy. I've done endless searches, tried many remedies and all have come up empty. Is there any way to use the crash logs or something to narrow this down (better yet, solve it)?
Details: Illustrator CS4 (ver. 14.0.0) Mac OSX (10.6.8) on a MacPro4,1 Quad-Core Intel Xeon 2.66 GHz, 13 GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 graphics card, DELL (E2311H) primary monitor 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz, DELL (P170S) secondary monitor 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz.
The files are quite large packaging files on an artboard of 58 x 44" and have gradients, a few glows, shadows on text and vector objects, 26-30 linked raster images (mostly TIFF, occasionally a few PSD), clipping paths and only one font family (Univers LT Std).
Redraw of gradients, shadows etc. has been painfully slow and I took several steps to speed things up to eleviate an otherwise impossibly slow file. All files are on a the startup drive (415 GB available space), when possible images slimmed down (flattened, unnecessary layers deleted), and saved with PDF compatibility turned off. Set the Document Raster Effects settings to 72 dpi. All those steps has greatly improved the ability to actually work on the files without constant pauses, but it can still be a bit slow and the frequent crashes are infuriating. Often times, mostly when a second mechanical file is open, it will give me the error message that Illustrator is unable to render the preview (can't finish previewing) and goes into Outline view. Other times redraw will hang (Illustrator will not recover and a force quit must be done), or it will just crash.
All the hangs and crashes are on redraw and my focus has been on that. New RAM was added early in this process so it was immediately suspect but after running several tests on RAM and hardware (which came up with nothing) it seems that cannot be the problem. This machine was upgraded to OS 10.6.8, I disconnected the secondary monitor, tried disabling the processor Hyper-Threading. I tried a fresh install of Illustrator. I tried repairing disk permissions several times. I tried creating fresh Illustrator files as well as Save-As for the most troublesome mechanicals but crashes continue.
Is there anything I can do to nail down the exact cause and get a solution???

I've tried doing creating and distilling individual pages based on where distiller is at when it crashes, but no luck so far. I guess I'll have to go page by page to see which one causes the problem. But I've got a feeling that none of the individual pages are going to cause the issue. Is is possible for the program to accumulate enough errors that it eventually crashes?

This would not only be a HUGE security hole if this were allowed (you can have any PDF form out there e-mailing any information it wants to any address without you even knowing it) but it would also require Acrobat to handle SMTP transfers to a mail sever.
The solution of allowing the OS-defined default mail client to handle this solves both problems. Aandi's option is what you would have to do - submit the data via webservice and have your remote server e-mail out the data.

Technical help needed for button click

Im new to abap, just now started working in my first project. I need some help and start from you.
In my webdynpro component FPM_OIF_COMPONENT : CNR_VIEW, Participate button is there,
so by default u201CCreate Responseu201C button is grayed out. By clicking the participate button, I need to enable the create response button. For this requirement, I need to create a custom class with two static methods : setvalue and getvalue methods. In that methods I need to set the variable = X, if participate button is pressed. And when loading WDDOMODIFY VIEW method, I need to check the value of the variable, if the value is X, then create response button will be enabled.
For this logic, Can you please frame some sample code.
Or please guide me throug some materials.
Please help me in this regard.

I understand you are new to ABAP basically the webdynpro questions are posted in webdynpro-ABAP, Forums going forward you should adapt the same practice to get a better response.
As you said u201CCreate Responseu201C button is already grayed out it must be already linked to attribute of type wdy_boolean
check the "enable property" of the button.
Coming to your question :
In the "OnAction" event of Participate button write a method for example get value
"Make the attribute" linked to create response button as abap_true hence whenever participate button is pressed it
will make your create response button enabled.

As per my understanding you require information on what Technical document might be required to be prepared by SD Consultant. If my understanding is correct, in that case we require to prepare Functional Specs for the enhncement & development required in the project.
Functional Specs:
To speak at macro level that is at project manager or at senior levels. The Functional Spec (Specification) which is a comprehensive document is created after the (SRS) Software Requirements Document. It provides more details on selected items originally described in the Software Requirements Template. Elsewhere organizations combine these two documents into a single document.
The Functional Specification describes the features of the desired functionality. It describes the product's features as seen by the stake holders, and contains the technical information and the data needed for the design and development.
The Functional Specification defines what the functionality will be of a particular area that is to be precise a transaction in SAP terminology.
The Functional Specification document to create a detailed design document that explains in detail how the software will be designed and developed.
The functional specification translates the Software Requirements template into a technical description which
a) Ensures that the product feature requirements are correctly understood before moving into the next step that is technical development process.
b) Clearly and unambiguously provides all the information necessary for the technical consultants to develop the objects.
At the consultant level the functional specs are prepared by functional consultants on any functionality for the purpose of getting the same functionality designed by the technical people as most of the times the functionalities according to the requirements of the clients are not available on ready made basis.

E-Sourcing technical consultants will require SQL skills if you are developing custom reports. The E-Sourcing query and reporting tools utilize "annotated" SQL statements the result in a SQL query being executed against the relational database. It is also useful for the report developer to have skills specific to the DBMS being used (for example, Oracle skills) - often times, using DBMS specific SQL constructs can provide improved reporting.
E-Sourcing has a feature called "scripting" that allows custom business logic to be included in the application and executed at various "call-out" points. The scripting feature provided by E-Sourcing uses a technology called BeanShell (see www.beanshell.org for more details on this technology). Beanshell development really requires strong programming skills using Java, although some components of BeanShell may be more like JavaScript. Regardless, I recommend Java expertise for writing E-Sourcing scripts. Knowledge of HTML is not required.
The E-Sourcing workflow capabilities also utilize BeanShell, so if you plan to implement any workflows, you will also require such technical skills.
Many other features of E-Sourcing such as user interface customization can be done with less technical individuals. Programming is not required.

Hi,
For SAP Netweaver Products which includes Enterprise Portal, Business Intelligence and Process Integration you have to buy seperate license.
If you plan to use only E-Recruit then in ECC 6.0 you can install Enterprise Portal as Add-on Component, Generally Portal takes more system resources. If you plan to use only E-Recruit then performance will be fine.

Help Needed !!!!! in New Hire Proration and Carryover (PTO Accruals)

Dear All,
We are facing a problem in Accrual formula where
Accrual Term is 1-July to 30 June
Accruing Multiplier is 'M'
Accruing Frequency is 3 Months
Accrual Rate is 5 Days
Employee gets Leave at the end of each quarter
1st Quarter (July-Aug-Sep) - 5 Days
2nd Quarter (Oct - Nov - Dec) - 5 Days
3rd Quarter (Jan - Feb - Mar) - 5 Days
4Th Quarter (Apr - May - Jun) - 6 Days
Total 5+5+5+6 = 21 Days
This accrual Plan is working fine for employees joining before the accrual start date of 1-Jul or employees joining on the first date of the first month of any quarter.
But for any employee joining after 1-Jul we should get the prorated leave entitlement
We have identified and developed the logic for the number of days a new joinee would accrue if he joins in the middle of a Accrual period. I am detailing out the following logic
The SQL for this is as follows
SELECT (ROUND((21/365*(fffunc.days_between(:Hire_date,:Current_accrual_Period_End_Date)+1))/5,1)*5)*-1 FROM DUAL
My query to all Fastformula Gurus is that how can i incorporate this leave proration logic for employees joining in the middle of the accrual period into my Accrual Fastformula.
Any help is appreciated guys.

To achieve your requirement, you need to change the accrual sub formula PTO_PAYROLL_PERIOD_ACCRUAL. Follow the below steps.
A.Create a pl/sql function :
1. Create a new Pl/Sql Function in similar lines with parameters as p_assignment_id, p_date_earned, p_plan_id and p_number_of_years;
2. The new function should call the pl/sql function per_utility_functions.Get_Accrual_Band passing values of p_plan_id and p_number_of_years.
3. After the above function call, invoke your custom procedure to get the accrual value based on grade (passing p_assignment_id and p_date_earned as parameters).
4. call the procedure per_formula_functions.set_number to set the ceiling value.
So overall your function should like this
FUNCTION <function name>(p_assignment_id NUMBER,p_date_earned DATE,p_plan_id NUMBER, p_number_of_years NUMBER ) RETURN NUMBER IS

B. Create a Formula Function with the above pl/sql function with p_assignment_id, p_date_earned, p_plan_id as context usages and p_number_of_years as parameter.
C. Copy the Formula PTO_PAYROLL_PERIOD_ACCRUAL and replace the entry of Get_Accrual_Band with your custom formula function defined in step B.
D. Copy the formula PTO_PAYROLL_BALANCE_CALCULATION and replace the entry of PTO_PAYROLL_PERIOD_ACCRUAL with your custom formula defined in step C.
