CS4 trial wont install or even begin to
I have tried three different browsers and folled the installation settings for the browsers. My system/computer meets all the requirements. when i click download nothing happens!!
please help. this is ridiculous that adobe offers no solution to this in the troubleshooting and no telephone support for potential buyers.
As John said, please provide more info where you download and how. The only problem I'm aware of is that Internet Explorer will not allow to download files larger than 2GB, so you will have to use Firefox or others for Master collection installers, but since PS is just about 1 gig or so, this wouldn't apply. Are you perhaps using some special protection tools that suppress JavaScript or consider the fancy graphical buttons on the Adobe site a way of "click-jacking"? If so, simply grant the adobe.com site full rights. also, if you are using a specific router config, some of your referers may be filtered and the forwarding may not work, but that's for a different forum then, I'm afraid...

Photoshop CS4 Trial version install error
Hello. I've downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CS4 Extended.
When I click the setup.exe it starts running and works until it reaches the loading setup menu.
Then a error pops up.
The title of the message box is "Windows Internet Explorer" and the message is "Critical errors were found in setup." And it also said to look in the setup log.
The log file contained this message " FATAL
Critical errors were found in setup
TypeError:'undefined' is null or not an object"
I'm using XP (SP3) and my computer is well above the minimum requirements.
Does anyone know why this is occurring? What other software is on your system? What version of Internet Explorer? The error you describe sounds like you never bothered to update IE and thus the proper mechanisms for running and displaying the install screens are not in place. If automatic update does not offer the respective options, I recommend downloading the standalone installer for IE7 (or even the IE8 Beta) as well as double-checking whether your .NET runtime 1.1 is also in place. The latter should only be required on Vista, but even on XP it has the positive sideeffect of fixing a few broken DLL connections/ assignments, so it may be just what you need.

Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 Trial Wont Install on my Mac (OSX Lion)
Information about the problem:
I am trying to install a trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS5.1.
I have fully downloaded the trail via the Adobe Download Assistant. The file i now have is 'Photoshop_12_1_LS1.dmg'.
I can open the .dmg and go through the basic steps ready to install. I press install and wait for it to do its thing.
The install then freezes at any given point at any %. Sometimes the % will stay at a certain point and the time will increase with no progress. At one point i left the machine for the '8 minutes' it required and the time had increased to 60 minutes +.
I have noticed a trend with each time i have tried it (31 Times).
The installer always seems to freeze at the section when it is installing: Adobe Recommended Fonts or Adobe Required Fonts or sometimes Adobe Bridge CS5.5 or Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5.
Once the install is stuck, it locks up the whole system and i have no choice but to hold down the power button as the machine is unresponsive. I have tried the installation multiple times and still no luck.
In order to try and solve the problem myself, i have removed all custom fonts from the font book and what remains is the default fonts on the system. I have even tried installing the trial without all the extra extentions supplied before installing the trial and still the same problem occurs.
I am in need of this trial and i would appreciate any help i can get.
Thanks,
John
System Info:
MacBook Pro 17inch
4GB Memory
2.8 GHz Processor
Mac OS X 10.7.1I have found a solution to this problem. Install the files in safe boot mode. Here is the how to guide:
Part One:
With past attempts or even previous versions of Adobe CS can be still lying around on your mac, in order to remove the bits and bobs needed in order for a clean install you need to download the 'CS5 Cleaner Tool' by Adobe. This can remove all previous version of CS right back to CS3. This could be the problem effecting you download. This tool can be download from here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/829/cpsid_82947.html
YOU MUST USE THIS TOOL BEFORE MOVING ON TO PART TWO.
Part Two:
To start up into Safe Mode (to Safe Boot), do this:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
(Source: Apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455)
Part Three:
Now that you have let your machine boot up in Safe Boot.
1. Locate the .dmg installation file. This can take a while to load, but be patient.
2. Click to open the .dmg.
3. Carry on with the installation as you normally would.
4. Sit back and enjoy until its 100%.
Once it has installed you can now restart your machine and boot up as normal. Log in and then it should be there in your applications to use.
I have spent nearly 2 days myself trying to figure this out, and finally i have found a solution. I hope this helps anyone who has come across this problem themselves.
Good Luck,

Acrobat 9 pro trial wont install
Please help. Acrobat pro 9 trial install problem I have down loaded Acrobat pro trial to my Pc Okay. Running windows Xp pro service pack 3 1829MHz 20g free space . Have installed Photo shop CS4 and light room 2 . The problem starts at installation managed by Nosso at 99.9% finished then nothing happens. I have turned my Norton Anti virus off also disconnected form the internet. I have also tried the three Other laptop at home. Tried windows , Safari, and Firefox browsers. Have also downloaded the trial software 4 other times form different parts of our little planet. Has anybody experienced the same problem? Thanks in Advance for any guidance.
After about 2 dozen attempts at getting the installer to work (including everything that I could find on the Adobe site) I think that I just managed to get it to work, although it requires a bit of a workaround... summary is below:
1) Download the installer from the Adobe site and place it in your C:\temp directory. Do NOT run it.
2) Launch the command prompt go to the C:\temp directory
3) Unpack the installer... the command is:
acropro90_efg.exe -nos_o"Reader9" -nos_ne
Note:
- you may have to replace "acropro90_efg.exe" with the filename of the installer you downloaded
- This will unpack the file without running the installer into a "Reader9" directory
4) After the unpacking is done, you can simply run the "setup.exe" in the newly created directory. -
Hi ,HELP

Hi There!
I've been trying to install Flash CS4 Trial since its release
but always get the same error message.
The package is uncompressed and install process begins, goes
to 100% and then a message box comes on asking to check disk space
(I've got plenty) and permissions and privileges (I'm using the the
admin account). Firewalls down, no good.
Tried on 3 different machines with plenty of disk space,
memory, etc, both on XP and Vista. Doesn't work.
I have also downloaded the same file 3 or 4 times. No good.
I wonder if anybody else has faced the same frustrating
problems.
I had previously installed CS4 suite (beta) and it all worked
fine.
Please, help! What in the World? Is there anyway to get FLaSH CS4 trial
version to install? OK. I have Service Pack 3, it keeps telling me
to disable my Firewall, (which I have done over and over, after
re-booting...) I even tried to install after checking off
everything in the msconfig in the Run it won't do anything
different... Also, I still haven't seen hide nor hair of any
'FLEXnet' file or app ANYWHERE. Honestly, what is with this crazy
'install' routine Adobe? Help! I really want to be working with
this new prog!!! Please do away with this insane install thing
please... (ASAP) ...thanks.
UPDATE: Ok, now i've gotten to the next problem: the Install
stops at 8% (Dynamiclink Support) no matter what... I was able to
install the CS4 of Photoshop though. I'm going to try removing my
licensed copy of Flash MX2004 in case it is interfering with the
CS4 Flash install... Other options may be try installing the
Premiere so that it can get the Dynamiclink Support installed ...?
maybe CleanScript...? no way to find the simple solution on any
support pages or forums though? hmm...
SOLVED:
I managed to put off some bills and purchased the upgrade
from MX2004 and the install worked fine... go figure! (This also
allowed for the phone tech support assistance i apparently needed
too. I got a nice person after a 15 minute wait.) The purchased
upgrade download worked as far as the install went: good; but: I
went click on the FLaSH icon to open the program after a reboot and
it said "the Licensing is no durn good no more." So I said,hmmm...
Here's what was likely a problem: the FLEXnet folder (had to
do an Explorer search to locate these) had been duplicated from a
previous install attempt a few days earlier and the duplicate AS
WELL AS the 'non-duplicate' had a 'read only' status that need to
be un-checked and permissions had to be set on the FLEXnet folder
for Admin, etc. That was pretty much the culprit. Hope this may
help someone. This tech file was a help: kb405970 -
I downloaded the 30-day trial versions of Photoshop, DW, Flash, FW, etc onto a couple of new Mac Pro's for staff to work with while i was waiting for our full CS4 licenses to arrive. I then installed the full CS4's from the DVD's onto the machines no problem, serials accepted fine - all good. But whenever we open up an application, we still get up the screen at the beginning saying we're using the trial version and that we have (now) 2 days left before it expires. I've tried entering the full license serial number into the option below this notice but it won't accept it. I'm now very concerned that in 2 days time the staff won't have CS4 to work with even though it's been installed.
Will it simply recognise the full CS4 version once the trial runs out? Should i have uninstalled the trial first or entered my new full license serial into the trial without installing from the DVD's? Have i done something wrong?
Any views/help/advice/knowledge is much appreciated.Did you uninstall the trials?
I would uninstall the software then run the CS4cleanscript.
then reinstall. -
Cannot install Photoshop CS4 trial

Did you ever get an answer or get it resolved? I have the same problem, but with that error message it also says I don't have write privileges and I do according to Toshiba and my computer as I am the admistrator. I too have plently of space available.
that would be vista telling you to right click on setup.exe and select Run as Administrator

PS4 Cd wont install and serial numer dosent work on trial download
Hello,
I purchased PS4 on EBAY, un-opened package, brand new, serial labels look real and cd looks real?
1st problem was CD wont install, drive dosent even recgonize it al all,
Someone suggesed downloading trial then entering serial number, works 1st time, but 2nd time opening up program serial comes up in-valid.
Seller said this was due to old photoshop being on my computer, and old registry files still being on system, causing serial number not to work. I had photoshop7 on my computer, I took PS7 off computer and did a registry cleaner (Eusing)
This still didnt work.
serial number wont work on trial download and cd will not install.
Anyone know of any fixes?
Friend of mine suggesed going in and manually deleting reg files thru regedit.. but I am not techie at all and have no idea how to due this.this is the exact message from the seller on Ebay..
"We know exactly what the problem is. You couldn't install it
because of corrupted registry key, which is typically made out of
a serial number. Think of registry key is as the id for an installed
software that prevents installation of the same software again.
Windows thinks the previous photoshop and new one are the
same software even though they are different versions. So it
won't allow another installation of photoshop. Uninstalling
previous version of photoshop does not delete the registry key.
So the new serial number you entered is rejected because the
registry key is already there.
Unless you delete the registry key for a previous version of
photoshop, the same thing you have just experienced will
happen whatever the version of photoshop you try to install.
The best way to remove the corrupted registry key is to reinstall
your Windows(initialize), then install the new photoshop. It's
guaranteed to work. Back us your system if you need. It's best
let pro handle backing up your system, reinstall you windows
and removing corrupted registry key.
There is free software that said to remove corrupted registry key
but we have never seen they actually worked. Taking back up
and reinstall Windows is the simplest way we have seen so far.
We don't know why Adobe said it's invalid where it is
authenticated." -

Error 2 when installing Fireworks CS4 Trial?
Hey, I keep getting the Error: Error 2 when ever I try to install Fireworks CS4 Trial, downloaded from Adobe.
Installing: Adobe Fireworks CS4
Adobe Exstention Manager CS4
After its pretty much done, it say's finished but with Error's, hit view info, and I keep getting Error 2.
Tried dowloading the trial from other sites, and that still doesnt work.
All my Adobe products of CS3 have been uninstalled.
Problem help?Fixed it! Yay
I've got to say - I owe it all to a guy called Justducky on macosx.com. Still, here's the story. After search around I found his post about a similar problem with Dreamweaver. He dug, and delved and worked on permissions etc but nothing worked.
Finally he got down to the solution:
Uninstall everything Adobe. I mean everything. AIR, flashplayers if you can. Everything. Delete .plist and .pref files that have adobe in the name (carefully).
Create a new account that has admin privileges (not convinced this was necessary but don't know Macs enough to confirm)
Safe Boot and log into the new account
Install Fireworks.
And there you go, it works. Simple eh? As an extra precaution when installing Fireworks I only did the bear minimum. I didn't install Air, Media Player, Bridge etc. I have done now and they work.
You can read the full account of JustDucky's journey here
Hope this works for you too! -
Alert when installing CS4 trial suite on Windows 7
Hi,
When I try to install CS4 trial software on Windows 7 Family Premium I get a message saying I do not have Windows XP 64 bits or Vista 64 bits and I should upgrade my system... How come?
I have a new Toshiba laptop with 4gb of RAM and 500Gb of HD.
I see setup.exe dates back from September 2008 so it is not surprising Windows 7 is not recognized. Should I install anyway?
Thank you for your help.Thank you for your time.
Yes the message is about upgrading to Vista or XP because the requirements are not satisfied. But I have Windows 7 Home Premium...
Here is a copy of the message:
The minimum system requirements listed below are recommended in order to run Adobe Creative Suite CS4 properly and are not met:
Windows XP 64-Bit Service Pack 1 and greater
Windows Vista 64-Bit Service Pack 1 and greater
It is recommended that you upgrade or adjust your system to meet these minimum requirements and the restart the installer.
I finally decided to continue the install and it seemed ok. The only problem I have is with Dreamweaver because I cannot put the right root folder in the website setup dialog (I select the right folder but it writes the folder above it).
