CS4 will not create a movie file, it just stops!

Can anyone help, I am at my wits end trying to create a movie file and have tried over half a dozen formats without success. Everything appears to be going well then it just stops! It was fine the last time I tried it 3 months ago.
Waiting in anticipation for a Premiere Pro expert to come to my aid.

Distiller will not create a .pdf file

Yesterday, I noticed—out-of-the-clear-blue-sky— that whenever I tried distilling a layout file in .eps, I kept getting 'Error' messages whenever I tried Distilling anything and Distiller wouldn't create a .pdf file!
This is what I recieved.

I even tried using an .eps file that I had created a .pdf file, from Distiller, on the previous day, and that wouldn't work either. So whats going on?
I finally got fed up and just uninstalled Acrobat and Distiller, and reinstalled it, and that didn't work either. My Acrobat also won't manually update now. I keep getting a "Update Internal Error." This also kept happening after I reinstalled it.
I need to use my Distiller in order to get a Press Quality .pdf.
I'm operating on a Mac OS X 10.5.8
I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Sounds like an EPS with preview? Not suitable. Use postscript for printing, not EPS.

TS1362 I have a Mac Pro tower, am running osx and iTunes will not work.. It basically just stopped working after having run faultlessly for...years... I can see all the songs, playlists etc, but the progress bar will not progress..it's 'stuck'. Suggestion

Thanks. I have been using iTunes since its inception and have never had a problem...I'm using the latest version. The progress bar is the bar that moves when you're playing a song..it just won't start when I double click on a song,..have tried quitting, rebooting etc but nothing works. Apple are useless-they have told me twice they've tried to call me 'momentarily', but I've been waiting by the phone, and they definitely have not tried to call...

IMovie will not open a .mov file created in FCPX

I am new to this group and to Mac so please excuse my ignorance. I edited files in FCPX and "Shared" them with the default settings and they came up in Quicktime with no problems.
I copy the files to an external drive for my client who has a 2 year old iMac running OSX Lion 10.7.5. She only has audio in Quicktime player and cannot open in iMovie to edit. She downloaded iMovie 9.0.9 and it still doesn't work.
How can this be??? I am so frustrated having spent this muck money on the best Macbook Pro I could find along with the latest and greatest Final Cut and it won't even go back 2 years with the latest Quictime??? Sorry for the venting and I know I am new....help please!~

CS4 will not create poly areas in image maps

How do I create an image map which will contain polygonal areas? I've selected my shape and chosen "polygonal" in the Attributes palette and then given it a URL. When I create an image map from the file, all my map areas (in the HTML) are "rect" (rectangles), which is not what I want. Can someone talk me through how to create a polygonal image map area which successfully gets exported into the HTML?

I am not an expert at this but I just created a polygon shape over a rectangle selected the polygon shape and added the url in the image map url field.
then I used the slice to to make the rectangle a slice and then selected the polygon shape and made that a slice and exported as jpeg from the Save for Web and Device as both html and image in the jpeg format.
all seemed to work the rectangle and the polygon are the same color so you can not see the shape but only the polygon shape seems selectable.
I just changed the color and it does only make the polygon shape selectable

so let me see if I can summerazie what I did.
I made a rectangle then I made a polygon shape over it. I selected the polygon and gave it the image map attribute with the url
and save the file, I then sliced the art first selecting the rectangle and clicking on the rectangle with the slice tool then select the polygon and clicked on that with the slice tool as well and save for the web as jpeg with image and html as the option.
S that is what i did and it seems to work fine.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.

Error creating swf movie file

I'm trying to create a virtual world but every time I try and publish it, it says error creating swf movie file. Here's a video to show you what i mean:

Two things that I noticed in the video:
1) You are not saving the file before publishing.
2) Flash warns you about the fonts missing from your system while opening the file.
"The document contains one or more fonts not available on your system. The text will display and publish with the font mapping below:"
So download and install the fonts on your computer "Blaster" and "Blaster Infinite" and save the file before publishing.
It doesn't seem to be saying error creating swf movie file, it just says something about the font not being right.
The message warn you that you have an anti-alias mode set on text and it requires you to have embedded fonts to use anti-aliasing. If you do not want to see that message anymore, then select your text blocks and set the anti-alias types to Use Device Fonts.
You can disable the warning message in the preferences dialog
Edit > Preferences > Warnings > uncheck "Warn on text needs embedded font".

Yes, you need CS6. DNG Converter is just a standalone tool to convert RAW to DNG files which then may be possible to open in older versions of Adobe tools.

Cs4 will not load cannon 5d mark II raw files

I had to reload cs4 and now it will not load a raw file from the 5d mark II. It worked fine before I reloaded it. I am using windows 7 and it will look at the raw files ok. I tried downloading the raw programs from microsoft and adobe.

Update Camera Raw...the current version for CS4 if Camera Raw 5.6.

How to create a movie file of java 3D animation without altering the code?

Is there a way to create a movie file of a Java 3D animation without altering the source code of the Java 3D animation program???
Because as what I observed, most of the forum recommends extracting the bufferedimages of the animation. And, then using the bufferedimages to do a movie file. In this way, I will need to add in new code in the animation program in order to extract the bufferedimages.
So, is there an alternative way?
My objective is write a program to create movie file of any Java 3D animation.

Further, these automatic pipelines accelerate polygons and the like, but not low level Graphics2D bit blitting operations.
There are JOGL apis that allow better control over acceleration, and are considered 'thread safe' (single threaded) whereas DirectX pipelines are not.

Fraps (commercial) and Taksi (opensource) will reveal that you are actually using acceleration, since they intercept the pipeline at the openGL (and DirectX) level.

Photoshop CS4 will not launch after installing Yosemite. All the other CS4 apps open. I upgraded Java. Genius Bar could not get it to launch.

Here's the fix I found, by way of an explanation...
Snow Leopard prompted me on my first startup with the following error:
"There is a conflict with the _______ font file. This font file contains a font name that conflicts with a system font required by Mac OS X to display onscreen text. You should move this font file to the Trash."
The fonts it said were conflicting: Helvetica, HelveticaNeue.dfont, Lucida Grande, and Monaco. I figured Snow Leopard probably wanted to replace these fonts with newer versions, and so I clicked "Move to Trash" on all four.
Apparently 10.6 trashed these fonts but didn't replace them. This was causing Photoshop to crash on load.
So I restored my ~/Library/Fonts folder from a backup made just before upgrading and this time after a reboot I said "Allow Conflict" on all four dialog boxes and launched Photoshop... everything is back to normal!
Not sure what kind of "conflict" it's referring to, but apparently moving these font files to the trash as OS X prompted me to do broke a number of apps. Should I report this as a bug?

Photoshop CS4 will not Start

Hi, i'm usually quite responsible when it comes to making sure my system can coap with what i am asking of it, but i've ran into a problem that my computer just can't seem to get around, and means that photoshop cs4 will not start up.
I've been making .PAT files from a few pattern sourcebooks i've recently brought. The first two went fine, but a japanese sourcebook contained 250 reasonably hi-res pattern images which i put through an automated action which set them all as patterns for me for the Pattern Overlay option in beldning options. When i did this i noticed my computer started to slow down near the end of the process, so i saved out the .PAT file from them, and quit photoshop to free up over 2.10GB worth of data. I have 4GB on a 32bit XP, but only 2 and a half-ish is seen by windows due to the hardware installed aswell. Of course i plan to chnage this to 64bit soon, but anyway, when photoshop now is told to start up, it reads everything normally, then gets to "Reading Preferences", and crashes with an error report, which watching my task manager, i belive to be linked to memory shortage from having to load the patterns up.
I reset my preferences to see if it would set them all back to default and not read the added pattern files, but that made no difference. Any ideas?

I'd look into doing a couple of tests:
1.) Move those PAT files elsewhere
2.) Eliminate all programs and Processes, that are unnecessary. Task Manager>Processes will give you a list of all that load, and you can probably stop half of them with no ill effects. I'd use MSCONFIG, so you can go back and easily activate them later.
3.) Reboot and see what happens.
Note: John's suggestion on the Presets folder might address #1, but I'd also physically Move them. It sounds like you're running totally out of resources to run PS, so Textures, and such, might be an issue too.
A question: how are your Scratch Disks setup and please tell us about your I/O sub-system, i.e. the internal HDD's, their size, free space, speed, controller type and how these internal HDD's are allocated. Especially tell us if you have any physical HDD's partitioned.
