CS4 Wont install on Mac G4
Hello,
A friend of mine is allowing me to use his unused Mac G4 at his office while I get my business up and running. When I go to install the full program, it will not install Premier Pro, Soundbooth, On Location or Encore. I clicked on the arrow in the custom install, after uninstalling and trying to re-install, and it said, "this program does not support PowerPC architecture CPU". What does this mean? And how do I install the full program onto this near super computer?
One other thing, does buying the Education Version from Academic Superstore have anything to do with this problem?

Exactly what it says. PowerPC architecture is not supported. You need an Intel based MAC. On the Windows side of the fence it is not much different. You can't install CS4 on a Pentium 66, just too old and outdated.
Academic version has nothing to do with it, just the fact that this MAC is too old and outdated.

Any ideas?Ok. I'll do my best. About a week ago, I used my CS4 Master Collection installer to install PS and DW. I had no issues. I don't use IL much, so I hadn't installed it. However, a font designer I'm working with asked that I send him an IL file of what I was looking for, so I went back into the installer to install IL. I double-clicked Setup. It asked me for my admin user name and password (this is the standard OS dialog, not Adobe's). I entered my user name and password. (I'm the only user, so I am the Admin). Setup stayed open just another few seconds and quit without any further error, or dialog.
I tried this several times, all with the same result.

Final Cut express wont instal on mac book pro
I bought a Mac book pro last night and today I attempted loading the FCE 2.0 and then using the upgrade version FCE HD4 and It told me my HD 4 version had an invalid serial number (it works fine on my imac 24 in) And so I figured I would just look at the FCE 2.0 and open it up. It wont open and it gives me a error message RGP ERROR. You do not have a graphics card or sufficient software to run this program....
Have no clue Tried rebooting.. I will call apple in the AM. I told the guys at the store that I was using FCE 2.0 and no one said that It wouldn't work...
Any similar issues with anyone else?

TIMThere is no need to install FCE2.
Just install the FCE4 upgrade as it is actually a Full Retail version with one tiny difference ....... you will have to input both the old and the new serial numbers.
Make sure you get the numbers exactly right or they won't work.
Before reinstalling you should remove every trace of the existing installations by deleting the files listed here:-

You can ignore the LiveType and Soundtrack items. -
IPhoto wont install from mac mini original software discs
1.25Ghz G4 mini, 512MB RAM
Install discs are original mini disks ver. 10.3.7
w/ Xcode installed
upgraded via System update to 10.3.9
as installed by apple everything worked ok, but due to some system issues I had to reformat drive, and reinstall. iPhoto seems to have installed (at least there's an icon for it, and a window opens when icon is double clicked), but it will immediately quit when launched with an error that it is missing files it needs, and to reinstall from the iLife discs.
There was not a separate iLife disc included with the mini just the install DVD, and the OS 9 disc. The error doesn't say what files are missing, but a quick visit to the Console shows the following;
"iPhoto[384] Can't find ImageIO!"
I have tried reinstalling several times since, installing iPhoto only, all bundled software, and full reformat/reinstall, all with the same results. It seems that the install disc I got was faulty, and won't properly install the bundled software.
Is there any way to get just the missing ImageIO? From this website, or just some helpful poster?

Had CS4 on Power PC Mac (Non Intel) along with prior Photoshop versions. Now I have new iMac and trying to install CS6 but it won't accept my original serial number (Starts with PSW401, etc.).
I know what you are saying. I had purchased the CS5.5 upgrade, and a week later got the CS6 upgrade. I did this back in 2012. I had a old Mac Power PC which does not allow you to install CS5.5 or CS6 because it was not an intel processor. So even though I had the upgrades I never installed them. I waited until my old MAC died which it did this past weekend. And now that I have a new iMac I tried to install the new software. All of my past upgrades referenced my original Photoshop that was still resident on my old Mac. But since the install no longer has that reference because of the new computer, it will not accept any of my past serial numbers that it needs for the install.

My Power Mac G5 Wont Install OS X 10.5 Leopard
Hey Guys,
I have a Power Mac G5 that wont install leopard. When I put in the Leopard disk, it boots the install, then says OS X 10.5 can not be installed on this machine.
I tried Leopard assist, but that told me it would not let me use it, becuse Leopard should be able to install on this machine.
Any ideas

Message returned at very end of install process during the running package scripts stage is
