CS5.5 Cant view image

Hi. When I open up an image I just get the chered box that I see on transparancy gif. Is there some silly setting to hide the image?

PS' requirements for graphics acceleration are quite specific and it is being nosy about it and no matter whether you have the latest coreXi with a Titan card that won't change - if it thinks something is wrong, it won't use these functions and give the exact behavior you describe, so by all means simply do as I said. Nothing's lost by trying.

  • PROBLEM: Cant view images on a Report in HTML Preview

<p>I created a report in crystal 11. I&#39;ve inserted a picture onto the report which works out fine when viewed in Preview mode when in Crystal. </p><p>The problem is when i go into the web application an run the report from there, I notice that the picture/image doesnt appear. It only shows the place holder for the image</p><p>&#160;</p>

Right-click on the Red X, copy its URL, and paste it to the Address field of the browser and go.  What error do you get?

  • I cant view image(s) in email

The company I work for sends over emails with their photo attached - and the image comes over with a ?  - how can I view it?  I checked the settings on mail and it shows that I have checked the box to allow images....anyone?  Thank you!

If it is an attachment you can click on Quick Look to open the picture or document. I use this when  items do not open in the email window.

  • What do I do to view images on CS5-64 when it will not open them?

The program will not open images, either directly or from Bridge.  Using Win 7 on a Dell PC.

Strange, after rebooting, both Ph CS5 and Bridge are working again.  Thanks for getting with me.

I cant view the image when  camera is on

Use the "Camera" app to make images.
Use "Photos" to view or organize them.

  • Cant view PSD files !

I cant view PSD files I just get a blue icon,  I also cant see the pic larger of course in preview.  Is this normal!!!   I have no trouble viewing PSD files in other graphic viewers not made by Adobe!!  I can even view them in my explorer program (total commander).  Surely you must be able to view PSD files in a program made by adobe or what is the point in using Bridge?!!!
I should say I am using Bridge CS5 and the psd file was made with photoshop CS5
OOOPS It was my fault   the size limti I had set was too low, I increased this and now its fine.

The XMP thumbnail is probably what is getting used in this case.  Even for images saved without Maximize Compatibility, the Ardfry PSD Codec can use the image in the XMP for the thumbnail if it's present.  Recent versions of Photoshop allow you to choose whether to save a thumbnail image independently of whether or not Maximize Compatibility is set.
However, larger thumbnails and viewing a large image in the preview pane (as well as Windows Photo Viewer and Windows Media Center) are dependent on having the flattened image available.  The same behavior is found with Preview on the Mac.
If any bit of your workflow is non-Adobe, then setting Maximize Compatibility is probably a good idea.

  • I cant view my site in safari... hmmmmm

i forwarded my own domain to mask the url for my mac.web.com.yadda yadda yadda.
i forwarded the frame to web.mac.com/myusername
it took hours and it is finally working though my domain co said they didnt think it would. anyways.. it loads great on firefox but i cant view it on safari.
i type in the web address and the screen is blank. if i click on the screen my site appears. and the same for each page.. you click and it goes blank. and then you click on the blank screen and up pops the site.
and it doesnt work in internet explorer. images have x's and just aren't there.
i have emptied the cache, quite safari. checked the url forwarding.. it seems odd that it works in firefox but not safari.
    any help?
    anyone?

    jodyfinver.com
    frame redirect from web.mac.com/writecause
    also tried web.mac.com/writecause/iweb
    and web.mac.com/writecause/iweb/jodyfinver
bought domain with 1and1 and can't transfer to godaddy for a month. 1and1 says they can't frame redidrect with a backslash. it's odd it works on firefox. you need to click a blank page in safari and in ie for mac the words at the bottom om the home page come in broken, as do images throughout.
i am on phone with apple and the guy saw the page then it disappeared. he had me reset my safari which made me lose my igoogle home page preferences and didn't resolve the problem.
then he said it looks like you can't do what you are looking to do. I said yes you can. In fact Apple tells people they can do this when they are selling the software. He is researching it.

  • Cant view html newsletters in mail

I can seem to be able to view html newsletters in Mail. It strips all the images and formatting only shows links and text. I usually have to click the link found in the text where you can view it online to see the proper formatted document.
Funny thing is that i used to be able to view them and it seems that all of a sudden i cant view them any more. I havent changed any settings (i dont remember if mail has updated recently but i usually do the updates as soon as i am prompted). The only thing i can see in Mail Preferences that may relate to this is under Viewing where is says "Display remote images in HTML messages" which is already checked.
I am on Leopard with Mail 3.2
    Any clues anyone?

I experience the same problem. Mail.app indicates that it can not display html and refers to a url. Strange enough, this also happens with messages sent by Apple.
I am using Leopard with Mail 3.3

  • Cant open images sent to phone

Cant open images sent to phone using latest Nokia PC Suite - any ideas? Have made sure they are approx size / resolution of pics sent to PC. Have tried as standard Jpegs AND as Nokia-own style files.
Also, is there any way to permanently delete image history in PC suite multimedia viewer and revert Nokia style image files back to Photoshop ones?

After experimentation found the only way was to change the pics from Jpeg to Gif.
Still havent yet managed to answer my own other two queries though!

  • CS5 not releasing images

I need help! Every time I open and image in CS5 for viewing and then close it, then I cannot delete or do anything with it in Explorer or Bridge. I get the 'being used by another program' message and I am unable to do anything with the image. After I then close CS5 the problem goes away and I can delete or move the image without any problem. I have only tried it with .jpg files so far. This seemed to just have started recently (last few weeks I think)... Is there some bug in a new update or what is going on and how can I stop it? It is a real pain in the tuchas to always have to close CS5 and then open it again when I simply want to see an image! My machine is an I-7 2600, Win7 64-bit with 36GB RAM and another GB on the Vid card, and all drives are muli-TB so I cannot see any problem with the space or hardware? If someone has the same problem and solved it or whatever, I would really appreciate your assistance. DSD

I apologize; I must not have communicated my point very well.
Every Windows application has a "Current Folder".
Think of a CMD window as a simple case.  If you CD to a folder the prompt will show you the name of that folder, and your DIR commands and similar will be executed in that folder.  That's the CMD window's Current Folder.
All Windows applications have Current Folders too.  This is typically where File - Open and File - Save dialogs are pointed by default when they are invoked, unless the application overrides them.  In Photoshop's case, it's where File - Open dialogs are pointed.
Windows won't allow the deletion or move of a folder that is presently some application's "Current Folder".  The application doesn't need to be "holding it open" in any way for this to be true.
    It's easy to reproduce:
    Create a folder:  C:\TEMP\TEST
Delete the TEST subfolder; see that you can do it successfully.
    Create C:\TEMP\TEST again.
Copy a small image file into C:\TEMP\TEST.  Content doesn't matter.
Open Photoshop, e.g., 14.1.2, choose File - Open, and navigate into C:\TEMP\TEST.
Open the small image file into Photoshop.
Close the image document from within Photoshop, but leave Photoshop running.
Now try to delete the folder C:\TEMP\TEST.
It's important to note that this is not a Photoshop problem, per se, as it is normal Windows operation and can be reproduced with virtually ANY application that sets its Current Folder.
But it's possible it might be something that could be worked around in the Photoshop code.  Photoshop, for example, could potentially set it's Current Folder to a scratch folder or the root of the disk or something while not actually doing File operations, remembering the last opened file location, then set the Current Folder back to it again right before opening a file.  I believe it must already be doing this for File - Save operations when the [ ] Save As to Original Folder option is unchecked.
Not knowing all the code, I imagine there could be negative ramifications for making such a change, including going against the normal expectations of a Windows user, who might expect the folder to be protected while he has a file open.  This may be why it hasn't been done up to now.  Consider this sequence:  File - Open, PSD; work on document; (accidentally?) delete folder; File - Save.  What happens?

  • Why Has The View Image @ %age Gone??? and Comment on 'Content Aware' Healing Brush.

PLEASE, PLEASE BRING BACK the View Image @ 'x' %. on the Top Bar.
It is necessary to view all images at 100% to check for dust on sensor.
It is necessary to view portrait images at 50% to remove obvious skin blemishes before final editing.
Two 'clicks' on CS5  - A convoluted process in CS6 Beta!
Omitting this option is a major retrograde step!
Appreciate the difficulties with this option and it is a plus.
Would be great if you could select an area in one area of image and scale it content aware into another selected area!

There are various ways such as using the Clone Source Panel to scale the source and then use the healing brush, though it doesn't have content aware per se.

  • Not able to view images in gallery, when they are ...

    Hi,
The file explorer was showing two default images folder and I was unable to delete one of them as I was unable to view images via gallery. Then i installed X-plore and deleted one of the images folder. Now, when I click images and select memory card as storage space, I cannot view them via gallery and view them only via X-plore. Please suggest how can I correct this issue.

Maybe I am stupid but if you delete the imagefolder, it will be gone. You can set your default imagefolder: goto Media-> Camera-> Settings-> Use Memory-> Card. You can also backup your card to PC, reformat the card in your phone, because it makes default maps for images, video, audio,.........and then copy your images back to the specific folder.

  • Firefox saves images to wrong location, but only when using "View Image"

For a while, I have had the problem above. I can save images just fine if I don't use the "view image" function first, with the images going to the intended folders.
Just to clarify, unlike some of similar problems I have seen described here, I am perfectly happy with Firefox remembering where I wish my pictures to go, on a site to site, or model to model (within the same site) basis.
The problem lies in that if I use the "view image" function, either in a new tab, or in the existing one, Firefox will often prompt me to save in a random folder where I have previously saved a picture. It will even suggest folders that I have not accessed for days.
    Example:
I save image A to folder A, by right clicking the image and selecting "save image as".
I then (immediately after this), right click image A again, select "view image", then right click the resulting picture, and select "save image as". Now there is a fine chance that it want me to save the image to some other (previously used) image folder, even if I have not used the folder for a while, and even though I have just saved the same image to folder A.
This problem persists with multiple image file types, on multiple sites (I just tried it with someones avatar in this forum, and it wanted me to put it with my holiday pictures from 3 weeks ago).
I appreciate any assistance you can give - jinxie
FYI; If I "one-click" a file (like an mp4) to download it, it goes to my main / default download folder as normal.

This is because Firefox will track where you have saved images or other files from the website domain. Then whenever you select to save the file to your computer, Firefox will start the Save As wizard in the latest folder that you have used last time.
    Here is an example:<br>
If you save an image from the domain <code>123.com</code> into the folder <code>123</code> it will save there. Then you save an image from the domain <code>456.com</code> to the folder <code>456</code>. Next you save a different image from the domain <code>123.com</code>. The save as wizard will assume that you want to save it with the other image from that domain and will automatically start in the <code>123</code> folder.<br>
This can make saving files faster and more organized, however not everyone wants this feature enabled.
To disable this feature you can do the following:
    #Go to <code>about:config</code> in Firefox
    #Locate the <code>browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite</code> string
    #Change the value to <code>false</code>
This should fix the issue, but please report back if it doesn't.
