CS5.5 Master Collection and Production Premium -- is the 32-bit license separate?

The CS5.5 Master Collection and Production Premium include a license for 32-bit Premiere Pro and After Effects. As I understand it, this 32-bit license can be used on a separate computer (and another user) simultaneously with the 64-bit version. Is this correct?

Yes, that could be the answer ... but in all other aspects, this package is treated as TWO separate products -- I have it listed as two products at my Adobe product page, I've got two separate registration "rewards". And I remember a couple of months ago it was mentioned in the Premier Pro or After Effects forum by one of the heavy contributors (I haven't been able to find it again, though). That's why I'd like an "official" answer (I'm in no doubt, that i is possible and it will work, but I'm curious if it follows the rules)

  • I have the CS5 Master Collection for Windows, but want to convert my license to a Mac.

I have the CS5 Master Collection for Windows, but want to convert my license to a Mac. I already have the CS5 Suite installed on the Mac. What do I need to do from here? I tried reading up a little bit on this and saw some people said in order to do this you would also need to upgrade your product version. Please tell me this is not the case, as that would be the dumbest and most frustrating customer service move ever to already faithful Adobe purchasers...
Thanks for any help you can give!

Unfortunately, upgrading to CS6 or joining the Cloud are your only options.
Platform swapping (Win to Mac and vIce versa) is only available to CS6 owners.

  • CS5 Master Collection and Service pack 3 question

Just received the CS5 master collection upgrade from CS4 Web Premium.  The minimum requirements state XP sp3.  Our systems here at work are still on sp2.  Will the software install?  If so, what issues might I face?

Hi! I've installed Photoshop CS5 Extended trial on a Windows XP SP2 workstation, I got a warning during installation saying that my system didn't fulfill minimum requirements, but no problem after.
As I've only tried with Photoshop, I suggest you to also check with trial versions of Illustrator and Flash.

  • Can I relicense Master Collection as Production Premium

I own Master Collection CS4 and Production Premium CS4.  I have MC on my old computer.  Now that I'm setting up my new computer, I'd like to run PP on the old computer and Master Collection on the new one.
To save myself the hassle of uninstalling all of MC and then installing PP (which has many of the same apps) -- is there a way to change the activation on MC so I can JUST use the programs that are within the Production Premium subset?

Well, I just went ahead and tried the most obvious route.  I realized when you activate it lets you change the serial number... therefore:  I started up Photoshop on my old computer and then Illustrator.  It told me it was deactivated and asked if I wanted to activate.  I then chose the option where it lets you change the serial number.  I entered the number for Production Premium and it accepted it.  I just did this 5 minutes ago, so I don't know if it's going to stick -- but it looks like I'll be able to use all the apps that are part of PP, and not the other ones that exist outside of PP but were installed as part of the Master Collection.  Hopefully it continues to behave -- because that was pretty easy.

  • Unable to install CS5 Master Collection, No Product Code In Box

    Hello,
I purchased my copy of CS5 Master Suite several months ago from Academic Superstore.  I did not install it right away because of issues with my laptop(MacBook Pro mid/late 2009).  Yesterday I tried to install the software but was unable to.  On the outside of the box is a sticker saying that I have to fill out and send in the enclosed educational form to get my serial number.  First problem, there is no form inside the packaging.  I was able to speak with an Adobe representative today via their support chat and was told to give them the product number and they could give me my serial number.  Second problem, there is no product number in the package.  I have been looking through all of my paper work trying to find this product number incase I may have inadvertently placed it some place other then with the CS5 packaging, but I doubt it.  I feel completly lost here.  If anyone should have any idea as to what I should do I would appreciate your help.
    Stephan

There is absolutely nothing anyone here can do. The only advice I have for you is to go through every single thing in the box.
Remove the disks and all the packaging and go through it all.
BTW, you can install it in demo mode and it will run for 30 days without a serial number.

  • CS5 Master Collection trial installs without Acrobat on 64-bit?

    Hi guys,
This is a bit weird but I installed Creative Suite 5 Master Collection (trial) the other day on my PC (newly re-installed with Windows 7 64-bit) and for some reason there is no trace of Acrobat!
I Googled this yeaterday and found a few other people with the same problem (but cannot seem to find them today). Any ideas why this might be the case?
    Regards,
    b_i

Before I invested in CS5 I too downloaded the trial on Mac and on PC platforms.  I think I remember that part of the stipulation of the trial software was that not all applications will be included and/or fully functional, Acrobat being one of them since you can probably download a trial of Acrobat separately and since Adobe Reader is free.  Try to download it separately.  Acrobat is the same version 9 that it has been since CS4 which might also be a reason it is not included in the download of the CS5 trial software.

  • Acrobat Pro 9 Extended not available for CS5 Master Collection

    Hello Forum Folks:
I have a volume license account with 5 CS5 Master Collections.
As part of the CS5 MC suite Acrobat 9 Pro is included.
I was told by a sales rep that Acrobat 9 Pro Extended cannot be purchased as an upgrade from a suite product.
If I choose to purchase Acrobat 9 Pro Extended it would be as a stand alone product license at full price for all five licenses.
    MY DILEMMA:
I only need one of the features that Acrobat 9 Pro Extended offers that's not included in the Pro version.
If I purchase 5 stand alone copies of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, I will have 5 additonal licenses of Acrobat
outside of my 5 CS5 Master Collection licenses to keep up with.
So in effect I'll have 10 licenses of 2 different versions of Acrobat 9 Pro and Extended to upgrade
sometime in the future in order to keep all uniform and in sync.
This is not an efficient nor economical way to stay current with Adobe's fine products.
The Case manager I spoke with did a fine job attempting to assist me but was unable to find an effective solution.
She recommended that I post on the forum and an Adobe staff member might be able to contact me
and address my concerns. Case Number: #204262178
    Thank You / Peace

I respect that you are employed by MicroSoft, but the compatability center is not always accurate.  It indicated that Adobe Pro 8 was compatabile for both 32 bit and 63 bit - but it is not.  I have upgraded to Adobe Pro 9 Extended because Adobe says that this is compatable with 64 bit.  The Microsoft compatability center also says that v9 is compatable with 64 bit.  But it is Not.  I have upgraded Adobe to 9.3.0, and it is Still not working.  I now have $700 invested in Adobe software that is non-functional due to W7 64 bit.
So although users can check the compatability center - as I did prior to purchasing my new laptop - but it may not be accurate.
And yes, I have updated the compatability center to indicate that the information there is incorrect.
I have searched/googled everything that I can think of, and still nothing helps.  If you have a suggestion how to make this work, I am listening.

  • CS5 Master Collection D.V.D"s

OK, I received my CS5 Master Collection Today. I installed the D.V.D's. I received 4 D.V.D's...  There was 2 D.V.D for The Applications. I D.V.D for the Acrobat 9 Pro. And 1 D.V.D for the Content.
I noticed there is 5 Serial Numbers in the back of Jewl Box or the CD Box.
I called Adobe Activation, and the Lady told me,  Because I am using the English version don't need the 5Th D.V.D.
Then I talked to her Supervisor, and she told me it seems like you are missing the Last D.V.D, so they have to ship me the missing D.V.D.
What is the 5th D.V.D, that I am missing.
Also, when I installed the Acrobat 9 pro, the short cut in my Desk top works fine, but when I go to my programs and I click on Acrobat 9 pro, it keeps on saying installing the program, the it Lunches the Acrobat.
    Any help please
    Thanks.

You need to go to the Acrobat forum to ask questions about that product

  • Migrating a Mac license of CS5 Master Collection to a PC

Hi all. I've got a box copy of the CS5 master collection and a Mac that is old and failing quickly. I was required to purchase this computer for college and it has seen much use. Macs are expensive and a new one is not something I have the funds to allocate to. I'm going to be building a PC tower (boo, I know ) because I can get the most bang for my buck that way, and as I am one of those "starving artists" I don't have multiple hundreds of dollars to spend on a new license on top of the money it will cost to build a new work computer for myself. The cloud stuff isn't really an option either.
But I digress, my question is whether it's possible to migrate a Mac license of the suite to a PC (removing the programs from the Mac in the process)?
Apologies if this has been asked already. I was not able to find an answer in my Googling or searching of the Adobe forum (just ones pertainting to PC to Mac migrations). Thanks.

Boxed versions of Adobe products usually comes with cross platform applications and serial numbers.  This being the case, have you got the disks for windows in the box you bought?  If so then yes it is possible to install it on your new machine with those disks and serial number.
You can deactivate the product from Apple Mac and install and activate on your new Pc.  Please also note that you are allowed to install the product on two machines - laptop and a desktop but most people install it on two laptops or two desktops or laptop and a desktop.
    Hope this helps.

  • Notebook Specs for Adobe CS5 Master Collection

Hi guys, I am currently in process of buying a new notebook.
I will be running a Adobe CS5 Master Collection and few other programs.
Can you guys let me know what are best specs that this notebook must have?
I know Mac is best option but my company is not willing to get one, they are willing to settle for HP / Dell / etc…
I will need this notebook to handle multiple applications at a time (dreamweaver, illustrator, photoshop, etc etc…).
I dont want the basic specs, what more can i include to get this notebook running like a super machine?
    eg. 8GB Ram, i7 processor?
    What do you guys advise?
    Thank You
    Bradley

I was curious about your experience with CS5 Master Collection, since I purchased the CS4 Master Collection more than a year ago.
I had previously bought the CS3 Master Collection and upgraded.  The original CS3 collection was reasonable to work with because there was a  Disc for each different program.  If you needed to reload a program you could figure it out.  When I upgraded to CS4 which was a decent price, I figured what I would get would be comprehensible in the sense that CS3 was.  What I received was (I believe 5 discs...I don't have them with me) labeled Content
and Applications.  It wasn't long, because of the general 64-bit confusion, that one of the programs (Acrobat Pro) became corrupted.  I wasn't sure which disc or discs to load.  There are absolutely no instructions or anywhere you can go to find them.  Adobe provides nothing for Master Collection
owners, or rather up-graders...try sending an email...good luck.  Try calling...to find out how to load a program?  By the way when I try to load one of the Content discs, I get a message that says my laptop, with all the bells and whistles, and which originally accepted the Master Collection, cannot load the software, whatever that means.  I wrote several emails to Adobe asking for help, I'll even pay for it...no answer.  I also subscribe to the Professional Photographers podcast and Adobe is frequently mentioned as having terrible customer service and having over-priced software.  I'm seriously thinking of alternatives, but everyone uses Photoshop, which you're probably better off buying by itself.  Or, you could wait for another frustrated customer to post his/her complaint to the Adobe Forums.  I don't think the Adobe administrators will let this be posted, but please, be forewarned about the terrible customer service.

The more they spend the faster you will be able to work.  A good processor like an i7, Windows 7 64 bit and at least 4 GB RAM will be a good start, 6 or 8 GB would be good.

  • Trouble installing DPS Tools on CS5 Master Collection

    Hi,
I've many trouble installing the tools on my MacPro with the Adobe CS5 Master Collection.
I've downloaded the correct dmg files and I've install them in correct order (first Folio Producer and then the Folio Builder).
But when I open the Folio Builder window, the window itself show me message that is necessary to update the tools.
Even after updating doesn't change the message.
It's possible that this tools are incompatible with indesign Master Collection version?
    Thank you
