Hi, I've tried to install CS5.5 master LS4 (french) and it fails (only photoshop and indesign are installed):

I've used the adobe cs5 cleaner, I run the install in administrator, firewall and antivirus are both off, etc
But:

The size of the "Assets1_1.zip" file is 0kb... Downloaded 2 times from the direct link (http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/STAM/CS5_5/win32/MasterCollection_CS5_5_LS4.7z) and 1 from the adobe downloader, and always the same errors...
Are the files corrupted in the adobe database itself? Is it possible to download only the corrupted files, or I have to download the full pack again?

You need to copy all the installer disc to the desktop, Folder by folder. for example, Copy the contents of Payloads folder on Disc 2 to payloads folder of Disc 1, Extension to extensions, etc
Then you will see the setup.app file on the Folder that you created on the desktop.
Run that and check. -

Suggestions?I renamed C:\Users\MyUserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0 to 1.0- (effectively deleting it) and reran the installer (AdobePatchInstaller.exe) manually. The 1.0 directory was recreated, and aamu.log contains the following:

BTW, this machine boots from an SSD (C:), and CS5 is installed on E:. Not sure if that is significant or not. Previous updates installed fine. -
Adobe Indesign CS5.5 Disc - Installer failed to initialize
I have been trying unsuccessfully to install my Adobe Indesign cs5.5 disc for the first time into my Dell Latitude E6400 laptop (Windows vista, intel core2 /duo - I meet all the system requirements). I keep getting the message "Installer failed to initialize. Please contact Adobe support."
I followed the indesign cs5 help suggestions at adobe.com and ran the Adobe Cs5 cleaner tool. This did not help. I also turned off my anti-virus to be sure.
Should I instead download the program from the internet and then enter my serial code? Is this my only option? Could you please give me some other suggestions. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I ran Adobe Support Adivsor toll, and the response was "Inspection could not identify any issues." I did not see any log files.
Just to confirm, you went to %APPDATA%\Local\Temp and found that there were a lot of files there, but there was not one called PDApp.log? Are you sure you have the right path?
If that's so, then the installer is failing really early. I suppose it's silly, but have you tried rebooting?
I find it doubtful that uninstalling Acrobat or Reader would help. Though I am slightly curious whether their Uninstallers launch. (For most Adobe products, the Uninstaller and the Installer are very similar, and they both do a bunch of checks and then pop up a window. For uninstallers, there is a chance to confirm before uninstalling. It would be interesting to know if the uninstallers fail to start the same way your InDesign installer has failed. But Acrobat is the product Least Like all the others. It's uninstaller might not behave this way, I'm not sure).
Still, we are getting down to weird or obscure problems. So it may be time to try solutions that are abnormal.
So, lacking anything better to do, assuming you have quadruple-checked for the above log file, why don't you go with your initial idea and try downloading the trial installer. And if it still doesn't work, sure, try uninstalling Acrobat first. -

Hi! I just yesterday reinstalled my computer's OS and restored files via backup, only to realize none of my applications survived the transition. Most of them are back now, with the exception of CS5.5 Master Collection. I was able to download the product and locate my serial number on my account, and thought all was well.
Not quite. Installation fails about 10 seconds in, with message to restart and try again. Restarting doesn't help.
I looked in the install logs and pulled out the following warning and error messages:

I kind of really need my software back soon for a school project with a rapidly approaching deadline, so any help in figuring out exactly what's wrong and why it won't install would be appreciated!Use Adobe Cleaner tool ( Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 ) to remove any / all remnants of the software.

CS5 Master Collection error: Installer failed to initialize, help?
When I first opened the CS5 installer, it worked perfectly, except my computer crash halfway through the installation. Now whenever I try to install an application, when I open the Adobe Installer, once it finishes Initializing the installer, I immediately get the "Installer failed to initialize" message. How do I fix this?
Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and clean out the temporary files created during install in your temp directory. Additioanlly, check your task manager and terminate any rampant instances of setup.exe and msiexec.exe that may stil lbe running.

If anyone is able to solve this they are a genius (or I am doing something very stupid!)
I am trying to reinstall CS5.5 Master Collection from DVD media on Windows 7 64 bit PC but setup.exe fails due to a msxml3.dll error.
Following a big bundle of recent Windows 7 updates, I started getting 'bad image' msxml3.dll error messages when opening any CS5.5 master collection program (Eg Premiere / Photoshop / Illustrator / Dreamweaver). Following advice on some threads here I tried uninstalling and then using the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool to clean up install, then reinstalling from my original DVD media.
Whenever I try using run setup.exe from installtion disc 1 the installing fails due to 'Missing files'. I have also tried dowloading trial versions and runing setup.exe fro mthe downloaded files but i still get the same message.
I have searched the forum and others have experienced this error but none of the solutions I have found seem to be working for me - as many seem to relate to download installations whereas I am installing from original DVD media (which worked fine before on the same PC)

The PDApp troubleshooting seems to indicate that this is caused by error in downloads but I am getting it with both original media DVD and downloads.
I have also tried using my logon (which has admin privileges) and under our main admin account - and I get the same errors.
Is a clean install of Windows 7 + CS5.5 my only option?
Any help / info / advice / solutions very much appreciated! I have spent the last 2 days trying to sort this out and seem to be getting nowhere.

J'ai utilisé le adobe cs5 install cleaner (ou un truc du genre), installé en admin, virer tous les produits adobe avant d'installer cs...rien à faire.

Je suis allé faire un tour dans les dossier, et...la taille de "Assets1_1.zip" est 0ko... Je l'ai téléchargé deux fois depuis http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/STAM/CS5_5/win32/MasterCollecti on_CS5_5_LS4.7z et une fois depuis le adobe downloader (qui, se dit en passant, est une vrai crasse...) et c'est toujours exactement le même problème.
Les fichiers seraient-ils corrompus chez adobe?
Autre question: En téléchargeant la version LS1 (anglais), serait-il possible de récupérer les fichiers "Assets1_1.zip"de la LS1 et de les réinjecter dans la LS4 (donc, sont-ils les mêmes???)?
De plus, étant donné qu'adobe ne propose ni un lien de téléchargement direct sur leur site, ni la checksum des composant, il est strictement impossible de savoir si la corruption a eu lieu lors du téléchargement (mais j'ai un doute, vu qu'en téléchargeant deux fois le même fichier, j'ai les mêmes erreurs, et la même checksum, j'en déduit que le problème ne vient ni de moi, ni de ma connection, mais d'adobe)...
Compliquer l'installation d'une version d'essai, c'est pas très bon pour la réputation du logiciel, sinon de l'entreprise si vous voyez ce que je veux dire...

"Installer Failed To Initialize"? After Effects CS5 Mac, Help!!!
I'm in serious need of some help here. I downloaded the After Effects CS5 trial, but when I go and try to install it I get an error:
"Installer Failed To Initialize. Please Download Adobe Support Advisor To Detect The Problem"
I already tried Adobe Support Advisor, but it didn't detect any problems.
I tried re-downloading the file again, but still no luck.
I'm running an iMac with Mac OS X 10.6.2, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.

i have os x 10.7 and am trying to install cs5.5 master collection. i kept getting the installer failed to initialize error.
by looking at the PDApp.log, i saw an error and fixed the issue causing the error...
my issue was when launching Install.app, it looks for ~/Applications and creates a folder "Adobe" in it. I had an alias in my home dir and the log showed the installer didnt see it as a valid directory.
by removing the alias, the installer then created the folder "~/Applications/Adobe" for me. However, since it created an empty folder named Applications, separate from the actual /Applications dir, this was not acceptible.
So, if i right click on /Applications and hit "Make alias" and move that to my home dir...same issue.
But, if i open Terminal.app and type "sudo ln -s /Applications" the seemingly same type of alias or "symbolic link" is created, but instead the installer see the dir as valid, and the install went flawlessly.

CS5 Master Collection Fails to Initialize

I am trying to install CS5 Master Collection trial on Mac OSX 10.6.3 but it fails as soon as I double click "Installer.app". I message box pops up saying "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." Here is my log file:

Trying to re-install CS5.5 and installer is failing.
I recently had to recover my hard drive, and after recovery my CS5.5 stopped working. I did a clean uninstall, and am now trying to reinstall, but the installer fails.

CS5.5 Design Premium: installer failed to initialize
Ok, I'm having this problem. This started because I had to perform a system restore. I ended having to go back so far with the system restore that all of my Adobe Products(among others) no longer appeared to be installed.
So I downloaded Adobe CS5.5 Design premium from a link mentioned elsewhere in the discussions. Everything extracts fine, but when I execute the installer it always prompts "installer failed to initialize". I have downloaded the Adobe support advisor. It shows multiple:
cpsid_82829s1: "A restart is pending," bootstrapper error has occurred.

I have clicked the links(http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-error-messages-bootstrapper-cs5.html) below and followed the instructions. There is no "InProgress" Entry in the registry in the locations provided. I have also ran the "Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool " Multiple times and have removed ALL. I have deleted every directory on this computer that says Adobe.
This is a clients computer and we REALLY don't want to wipe and reload(Money/time and all that). Can anyone help me with this error?System restore is a first resort for most people when there is a problem in Windows. Obviously it wasn't a hit in this situation. I know a wipe and reload would fix it. If you read my post you'd see I'm trying to avoid that. If you have any information that can help me there I would love to know it.
