CS5.5 Removing Offline Filters

I have a project which has several clips using a video effect I no longer have on my new system. When I load the project the effects tab on the timeline for each clip shows this missing plug in as Offline Filter, and I want to just clear it or delete it, the offline filter reference in the effects for this clip in the timeline. Problem is the delete key does nothing and the clear option is greyed out. It complains when I load the project about missing video filters/plugin, and the clips dont need this plug in anymore, but I can't seem to delete the reference to the missing plug in from the clip itself.
Best I can come up with is delete the clip, then re-add it but this is VERY tedious, there are a LOT of projects like this with many many clips in them.
Is there some way for me to delete references to offline/missing plug ins for my clips in CS 5.5

In many of my clips I now notice there are TWO Offline (filter unavailable) entries in the Video Effects are of the Effect Controls panel. This is a project that originated in Premiere ELements and was then imported into CS5 and now into CS 5.5. I never cleaned up the Offline stuff in CS5.
When I right click on clips in the timeline a greyed out effect called Object Tracking appears between ProcAmp and Motion. Maybe this is from Premiere Elements somehow and cannot be removed?
One of the Offline (filter unavailable) entries DOES let me delete it as normal. The other is right underneath ProcAmp and Above Motion, and it will NOT let me do anything with that one.
So one of the two Offline (filter unavailable) effects is acting normal, but the one below Procamp and Above Motion in the Video Effects list won't let me remove it. Is this some holdover from Premiere Elements that I cant get rid of?

Remove duplicate filters option?

Is there a way to remove duplicate filters from a bunch of different clips at once (perhaps using the remove attributes feature somehow)? For example, if you inadvertently put TWO flicker filters on all the clips in your sequence, and you want to remove the duplicate flicker filter, but not all the other filters used on each clip, can you do this without going through each clip one-by-one?

cmd-z will undo what you've done if you catch it soon enough
Using the Remove Attributes will remove categories and in your filters case remove them all.
If all the clips have the same filters and it's just the one extra Flicker Filter you're trying to remove then you could Remove Attributes (filters) on all the clips, then rebuild one clip with all the correct filters and copy it. After which you could then paste those attributes back on all your highlighted clips.
If on the other hand you've got multiple varied filters then you will have to remove the extra Flicker Filter on each clip.
Or maybe someone else has a way of doing this that I haven't thought of before.

CS5 Can't See Filters

I just had to reinstall Photoshop CS5. Now I can't load (old) Kodak filters.
CS5 sees the Kodak folder, but the filters don't show up in the list.
The filters are:
1. DIGITAL GEM Airbrush Professional Plug-In 2.1
2. DIGITAL ROC Professional Plug-In 2.1
They are 32 bit filters, so I am loading them to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\Kodak\
I've tried installing them directly to the above folder.
I've tried installing them to where Kodak wants to put them and then moving them to the above folder.
I've tried installing them to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\Filters
instead of \Plug-ins\Kodak, still no joy.
Each time I restart CS5 (32), it sees the Kodak folder but not the .8bf files.
I even reloaded the originals from Kodak. CS5 doesn't see the filters.

The significant file from the
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\Kodak\DIGITAL GEM Airbrush Professional Plug-In 2.1
folder is DigitalAIRProV2.8BF. It is neither Read-only nor Hidden.
The same is true for the significant file in the other problem folder.
I'm not sure what I'm looking for in
C:\Users\Drew\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Plugins
The folders contained therein have nothing to do with user installed filters.
I can manually add
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\Kodak\
as an Additional Plug-Ins Folder. That makes no difference. (It shouldn't be necessary because the root:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins
is the default.)
The NoiseNinja plug-in located in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\NoiseNinjaPlugin_Win32
works just fine.
So, why not the Kodak filters?

Deleting/removing offline PDF files in the iPad Adobe Reader app

Whenever I open a file from the Acrobat.com cloud in the iPad's Adobe Reader app, a local copy is saved which I can read even when not connected to the internet. This is intentional by Adobe, and allows me to read PDFs offline, which is great. My question is, if an offline copy of every PDF I open is saved on the iPad, it will soon run out of disk space. Is there any way that I can delete/remove a specific offline PDF in order to free up disk space? I understand that this would mean that I would not be able to read that file offline anymore until I reconnect to the Acrobat.com cloud and reopen the document from the cloud. Thanks!

Thank you for reproting the issue. You are right Adobe Reader saves a local copy whenever you opens a file from Acrobat.com. But there is a limitaion to the number of files it saves locally. So whenever the number of files opened from Acrobat.com reaches that value, it removes the first file opened from acrobat.com from its local memory and so on. So there is no chance of running out of memory.
Secondly, if you want to remove the locally saved files then you can just sign out from Acrobat.com and sign in again. In this case it will remove all the files saved locally. Then you have to download them again to view.

Cannot Remove Offline Files from Sync Center

I believe I have searched the history of Sync Center issues enough that this is an issue that has not yet been addressed. If so, please point me to the proper article. Thanks!
I was making folders available for offline use in my Win 7 Ultimate edition. We are in the process of moving to NAS servers (with new network names) and I know syncing with NAS servers is not working correctly right now.
So I have unchecked all the folders to make then unavailable for offline. I have also gone to "Manage Offline Files" and tried deleting all offline files for the network drive. However, there is one Network Drive that I cannot get to delete no matter what I try. I have tried Deleting Offline Copy for the drive (which it says is successful), but the network drive and a folder hierarchy remain when I view Offline Files. Also, when I view this folder path in Windows Explorer, it gives a status of "Offline Availability: Available". I find this odd since the Make Available Offline box is not set for any of the files or folders in this path. Also, this message seems odd to me since the only valid messages I have found for this status are "Always Available" or "Not Available".
I have also tried making all of these files and folders available offline again and removed and deleted, but I still have the same problem. I have also tried the registry key to reset the cache for offline files and that did not work either.
Please help me get rid of this because it is driving me nuts!

CS5 was removed from my computer

Updated computer to Windows7. Reinstalled CS5. CS did NOT open my Nikon D800E files so I wanted to do an update. Once I went in to do the update, my PS has disappeared and the message read something to the effect my copy was NOT registered. I purchased CS4 from B & H, then bought the CS5 version from London Drugs. I have been using this program for at least 2 years (also opening the Nikon D800E Raw images). Why was my PS removed without contacting me? How can we fix this issue, getting my CS5 back and it being able to open the D800E camera Raw files.

As for the cleaner tool, it just cleans up files from old installations that could be corrupted.

I currently have CS5&6 Removal from my iMac.

I am going to switch from CS6 to CC. I currently have both 5 and 6 on my iMac which I'm operating with Yosemite 10.10.2. I'm not sure about how to remove them. I'm told that it's easier on a Mac. That unlike a PC, you don't have to have a removal app but rather I can just drag each app into the trash can. Wanted to know if that is so and is it better to do that before or after I download CC?

Can I remove Photoshop CS2 after I have upgraded from CS2 to CS5? I upgraded from CS2 to CS5 quite a while ago and I have never removed CS2. Will it affect CS5 to remove the old CS2 if it was an upgrade?

If I were you I would just delete the installed Adobe CS2 folder. Adobe CS2 uninstaller my remove settind CS5 made to your system after CS2. The CS2 uninstaller may try to restore settings to a point in time where there was no Photoshop installed on your system. If you do a CS un-install you may need to then Install CS5 on top of itself the update cs5 for the install will not have the updates you will be back at CS5 level .

How do images edited in CS5 not return to LR3?

I have just upgrade to CS5 and then downloaded LR3 trial version as I am waiting for the software to arrive.
I was editing a shot in LR3, then decided to edit in CS5 for content aware fill to remove some wires that I could not work around. After completing the edit in CS5, it asked me to save the images and I said yes. After that, it did not return the file to LR3. After doing several other edits, I finally did a search on my system to find the images that I edited in CS5.
To my surprise, they were in different directories on my system!
Is there something that we now have to specify to get them to return to LR? I would like to keep the images all in one collection since this is what I have done in the past.
It also did not ask me when going to CS5 if I wanted to use the edited version like it did in V1 & 2. Has anyone else had this happen?

Did you have any filters set in LR to exclude any other images? ... there seems to be a bug in PS returning images with ratings, color labels and filters ... or any of the above. Try removing the filters to see if your edited image is there.

Does anyone know why Adobe CC is failing recognise or open files taken on a Nikon D4 that have been previously edited in CS5?

I'm just migrating some of my image archive across from one hard drive to another. During the process, I checked the files in Bridge to see that they'd copied correctly. It was here that I noticed that for some reason, in every folder that I've moved, there are at least a few images that it fails to recognise. These images are listed as having no camera model and no serial number. Attempting to open them in Photoshop CC says that it is an unrecognised file. Bridge struggles for a while, manages to eventually recognise a lot of them but always leaves a few that it cannot work with.
Having looked at the original drive, the files are fine and open perfectly. One thing that I've noticed is that some (not all) of the now corrupt files have been previously edited in CS5. Removing the sidecar xmp file makes no difference. Purging the cache makes no difference. Repairing permissions makes no difference.
I am running OSX Mavericks (10.9.3) and have the latest updated version of CC.

I'm using an Intel iMac, 3.6Ghz Intel core i5 with 12GB of 1333 Mhz DDR3 RAM.
The iMac has OSX 10.9.3 installed with all of the latest updates.
I'm using Adobe CC with all of the latest updates installed so Bridge is version 6.0.1.6.
I have repaired permissions, rebooted the Mac, re-started Bridge and cleared the Bridge cache.
The raw files are .nef files from a Nikon D4. They are currently stored on an external Western Digital red hard drive and all of the images are accessible and load correctly.
In moving the files across to a new Western Digital green drive, Bridge is failing to create some of the thumbnails. After waiting for all of the thumbnails to be created, the remaining files are simply displayed with a nef files icon. Any attempt to open them fails, with Adobe Photoshop CC displaying a message stating that the file is not in a format that Photoshop can understand.
On investigating further, I have found that the images that are causing issues are ones that have been edited before and have sidecar .xmp files. These .xmp files were created during editing when using Adobe Photoshop CS5.1.

Performance issue due to column formula and filters

Hi,
I am facing strange issue with performance for my OBIEE reports. I have two sets of reports Static and Dynamic. Both runs against same tables. The only difference between these reports is that the Static reports would run against all the data for given aggregation level e.g. Year, Month, Date and so on. Where as for Dynamic one I have range prompts to filter data. Other difference is that I have a column formula for one of the column in the Dynamic report, which is nothing but Go URL to show another page with certain parameters.
The static report takes around 14-15 Seconds where as the Dynamic one takes around 3.5 min. The amount of data and range is same here. From the logs I could see that for the Static reports, i.e. reports without filters it applys group by at SQL level where as it is not doing so for the dynamic one. Is this expected ?
Second issue is, even if I say remove the filters and just have report with column formula in one and no formula in other there is significant time difference in the processing at Presentation service layer. Again this is taken from the log. it takes 8 second to get data from DB but shows almost 218 Seconds as response time at Presentation layer.

Hi Ritesh,
I think you right about the root cause of your problem. The first request does the group by in the database which returns fewer records to the BI Server for processing. The second request does not do the group by and sends significantly more records back to the BI server forcing it to do the group by. Compound that with the fact that pivot table views are relatively expensive computationally and that explains the difference between the execution times.
Assuming that the execution time of the first report is satisfactory, I would recommend you try to experiment with a few settings to see if you can get the second report to do the group by in the database.
Are the two filters identical except for the following conditions?
cast("Date Dim"."YearCode" as Int) is greater than or equal to @{Start_Year}
cast("Date Dim"."YearCode" as Int) is greater than or equal to @{End_Year}

How can I use filters to show sequential quarters in a table - Heat Map

I need to sum sales for this quarter and last quarter, then do a percent change calculation in one table in 11g
It needs to look like this:
Product X, Last Qtr, This Qtr, % Change
Prod_123, $100, $150, 50%
I've tried creating one analysis for "Last Qtr" and an identical analysis for "This Qtr" and then tried using each as a filter for the two sales amounts but it isn't working.
I know this is possible as I've seen articles written about this - but no examples or screen pictures so far.
Anybody know how to do this?

Create a new query - Start with "Fiscal Year" and Filter it for 2012. Add Fiscal Month number and filter it for "11;12", last add the "Sales Amount" fact. You should get a result with two rows, one for month 11 and one for month 12, each with a "Sales Amount" like this:
Fiscal Year Fiscal Month Number Sales Amount
2012 11 $100
2012 12 $150
The problem is that I need month 11 and month 12 as separate columns on the same row so I can do a calculation on them. Like this:
Fiscal Year Month 11 Sales Month 12 Sales Month12/Month 11
2012 $100 $150 1.50
This is what I am doing that is not working:
1) With the first analysis above - set the month filter to "11" and save the analysis as "Month 11 Sales Amount"
2) With the first analysis above - set the month filter to "12" and save the analysis as "Month 12 Sales Amount"
Now I have two analysis to use with the "is based on results of another analysis" filter in a third analysis. One filter anaysis for each month.
3) With one of the above two analysis - remove the filters and save as "Month 12/Month 11 Sales Amount"
4) Add another "Sales Amount" column to the analysis - so now we have a Fiscal Year, Fiscal Month Number, Sales Amount, Sales Amount columns
5) Add filter to the first "Sales Amount" column using the "is based on results of another analysis" option and select the "Sales Amount" column of the "Month 11 Sales Amount" analysis
This results in only the Month 11 sales amount being returned.
6) When I add the Month 12 Sales Amount analysis as a filter for the second "sales Amount" column - as expected - no values are returned....
So - How do you get this:
Fiscal Year Month 11 Sales Month 12 Sales Month12/Month 11
2012 $100 $150 1.50

How do I allow offline use AND check for updates if online?

I am actually not sure if this is a bug or not, as the behavior changed when I updated from 1.6u20 to u21. I have an application in a single JAR, and a JNLP file. I am testing with Windows 7 64-bit (with both the 32- and 64-bit version of the JVM installed, 1.6u20-b06 on both). The application cache is enabled. Here is my JNLP file:

- The application can run when I disable the network connection.

- JWS does download JAR updates when the desktop link is clicked.
- The application can not run when I disable the network connection (HostNotFoundException).
- The "-offline" switch is not passed to javaw in the desktop shortcut.
What I want to happen is for JWS to check for updates if it can, and if it times out, instead of barfing, just go ahead and run the cached version. What I can get right now is either no updates + offline allowed, or updates + offline disallowed. However, I can obtain the behavior I want if I specify allow-offline then hand-edit the desktop shortcut and remove "-offline":

- JWS does download updates to the JAR file.
- The application can run when I disable the network connection, after a short timeout.
Now, I was under the impression that this behavior is the intended behavior of allow-offline: attempt to download update, on error, silently start the cached version instead. This does not seem to be the case. I actually wonder if this is a bug, as with 1.6u20, it seemed to download JAR updates just fine when allow-offline was specified (I had issues when the cache was disabled with 1.6u20, and so I moved to u21).
How can I make this work the way I want without having to hand edit the desktop shortcut?
Is this a bug, or am I misconfiguring (OED says this is a real word!) the application?
Is there something else I have to do to indicate that the JAR is updated besides just uploading a new version to the server?
It should be noted that I am not doing any web page magic here, I'm testing by simply downloading the JNLP file off the server and opening it. This is actually my first JWS experience and I haven't gotten to properly embedding it in a web page yet. I do not know if this is significant or not.

Well, I solved that quick. I've been staring at it for over an hour but it popped out at me as soon as I looked at my JNLP file in my post here (guess it's the red text, heh).
All I need to do is set online="true" in the shortcut, and also specify allow-offline, and all works exactly as I want it to. :-)
Perhaps it was a bug in u20 that was causing it to check for updates anyways even with an offline shortcut... I'm not sure, and I don't have it in me to test it any more at the moment.

I deleted the { subPaths: "word" } within my dataset. The dataset was pulling and displaying the subpath content which I don't need.

I’m using the Multiple Filters Mode Sample to filter headlines in my xml file by the keywords associated with them.
My question is, with no filters selected, how do you display only one headline for the default view? So, instead of the <headline> node repeating itself for every keyword within that node, it just displays one headline. I just want to display only one headline instead of repeating the headline based on the amount of keywords associated with it.
If you view the donut example given a donut is displayed for every topping associated with it.
I’m not as experienced with JS but I thought that if I create an array of all the possible keyword combinations and then use an if-then to display just one combination then it might work. The problem is that the amount of keywords will grow with time. I might amass 15-20 keywords in the next month, so an array might not be practical.
Also, my “Remove All Filters” doesn’t work. The debugger is giving me an error that states: ‘documents.forms.0.noneCB’ is null or not an object -This would mean that the checkbox has not been selected is this correct?

1) I deleted bridge-utils, netcfg
2) I edited /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf:
interface=wlan0
#bridge=br0
edited /etc/dnsmasq.conf:
interface=wlan0
dhcp-range=192.168.0.2,192.168.0.255,255.255.255.0,24h
and edited /etc/rc.local:
ifconfig wlan0 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
ifconfig wlan0 up
3) I added in autostart these daemons: hostapd, dnsmasq and iptables.
