CS5.5 Unattended Installation, Problem with Adobe Story Install

Hello,
I am working on a silent installation package of Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection. I used AAMEE to create a silent setup with settings etc.
This works fine except for one of the extra exceptions. I have troubles installing Adobe Story silently. Here is the the installer logfile

Uninstall each and every bit of Adobe software on the system, including Adobe Reader etc., then try again. You may also need to delete the caps.db in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\caps.

  • Problems with adobe story / howto uninstall

    Hi there,
unfortunatly adobe story (free app) isn´t working. When I start it, I´m supposed to update the program. But somehow it doesn´t work (it says, it is impossible because of a wrong configuratetd installation-programm).
In another thread I read, that uninstalling and reinstalling adobe story might help. So I would like to know, if there is an uninstalling-routine or do I just delete the programm in the programm folder?
    Many Thanks in advance!
    Timo

If you are using a PC, then normally for any program you want to uninstall you go thru the Control Panel to properly remove programs.

  • Installation ProBleM with Adobe Reader on WinDows 8.1

I've been trying for some Time to install Adobe Reader on 2 different Windows 8.1 computers, using Internet Explorer and Chrome, and haven't succeeded. The "Adobe Reader Installer" opens up, but the screen remains grey. Nothing seems to be happening. Could you shed Light on this ProBlem?

  • Installation problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 7

I have newly bought Premiere Elements 7 and successfully installed it on my PC.   I have now tried to install it on my laptop also, but when it gets to the bit Registering it rolls back and tells me to try setup again.   I had a previous version on my laptop but uninstalled it.   I tried turning off Virus checker, and even disconnected from the Internet but same thing happened.   Would be grateful for suggestions.

If you're having trouble with registration and installation, a call to Adobe Tech Support is definitely in order.
Installation issues are handled at no charge.

Meantime, make sure your operating system, firmware and drivers are up to date and that you have the latest Quicktime.

And, even if your system is brand new, it's wise to run a program like Advanced System Care to clear off your temp files and clean your registry.

  • Installation Problems with Adobe Captivate 6 Subscription

I am running Windows 7 (64 bit).  I have a subscription to Adobe Captivate 6 and successfully downloaded the files.  However, when trying to install I am running into problems.  I have 3 options (install with serial number, start my subscription, install trial).  I have tried both the subscription and the trial.  It says it needs to sign in with my Adobe ID, however the spinning wheel goes and goes for about 1 minute and finally comes back and tells me it can't sign in because either I'm not connected to the internet or my clock settings are wrong.  I AM connected to the internet and my clock settings ARE correct.  Help!
When I manually log into my Adobe account, I see a serial number listed with my Captivate subscription.  Can I just install with that serial number?  Or is there something with the Windows firewall blocking my ability to install this subscription?

    Hi LReagan6Sigma,
Please try the solutions below :
Solution 1: Clean up cached user login information.
        Close the Creative Cloud application.
        Navigate to the OOBE folder.
        Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
        Delete the opm.db file.
        Launch Creative Cloud.
Solution 2: Reset the Hosts file.
Choose Start > Run, type %systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc, and then press Enter.
Right-click the hosts file and select Open. Select Notepad for the application to open the hosts file.
Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
Search the hosts file for entries that reference Adobe (for example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
        Save and close the file.
Let me know how it goes.
    Thank you.
    Arnaud.

  • Installation problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 10

I recently purchased a copy of Premiere Elements 10 (With photoshop elements) and I have come to brick wall in the installation. First off, I have already installed photoshop and its working fine, however when i try install Premiere i get the following message:
"This installation package is not supported by this processor type"
I can confirm that my processor does infact meet the system requirements. It is faster than 2.0 GhZ  and does support SSE2.
My exact model is: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7600 @ 3.06 GhZ. I can can see from the following link that it supports sse2
    http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_2/Intel-Core%202%20Duo%20E7600%20AT80571PH0833ML%20%28B X80571E7600%20-%20BXC80571E7600%29.html
I am also running Visata 32bit with about 4 GB of ram.
    Any Help would be great.
    Many Thanks
    Chris

This software came with hardware that was other than a PC. Therefore they cant really help me, however i'm trying to download the trial version but my internet connection is less reliable than a plumbers estimate. It may take sometime, if that fails ill have to call T/S, i have a UK based number to call if the trial fails to work. Thank you all for your suggestions so far

  • Is there a solution for my "files in use" installation problem with Adobe Reader XI?

I have tried repeatedly to download Adobe Reader XI (11.0.07), but I keep getting a "files in use" message that indicates my current version, Adobe Reader 8.1, is using files that need to be updated by the download's set up. The message directs me to close my Adobe Reader 8.1 and then continue, but when I receive it my Adobe Reader 8.1 is always closed. I am tempted to uninstall my Reader 8.1 and then try downloading Reader XI, but I am afraid I could be inviting even more trouble. I should mention the reason I am trying to download Reader XI is a notification I received in my computer's status box that indicates my Reader 8.1 is not working properly and suggests I download the latest version. I discovered the notification after I was unable to open a GIF file attachment. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

    Thanks for your reply.
I tried to uninstall my Adobe Reader 8.1 in safe mode, as suggested above, but received a message which indicated that Windows installer could not be accessed. That was a strange message, because I have not had problems uninstalling programs in the past, and, after receiving the message, I tried uninstalling a different program in safe mode and had no problem doing so. I am now going to try your suggestion.
Honestly, these types of technical issues always leave me so frustrated. I do not have a high technology acumen, and because my laptop is six years old, I cannot get professional help without paying a hefty fee. Thank goodness for this forum. If the solutions suggested here do not work, I guess I will keep my laptop until my Adobe 8.1 gives out completely.
Thanks again for your assistance. I will let you know if it works.

  • Installation problem with adobe elements on Mac

Nothing shows up when I insert disc 3 of adobe photoshop elements into my Mac. When I go to DVD player and push play it says "supported disc not available". I don't know what else to do. I have tried turning my Mac on and off and have switched the sides of the disc.

Do you see the disc on your desktop?  Are you able to see other discs mounted on your desktop?  If you go to the Finder menu do youhave a check mark next to CDs, DVDs, and iPods to be shown on the desktop?

  • Any problems with Adobe CS5.5 and the Maverick system?

Has anyone had any problems with Adobe CS5.5 and the new Maverick OS? I don't want to install if there are issues. Thanks!

First thing I would suggest is to upgrade your server OS to a newer version if possible. Secondly try removing the apps out of the allowable apps list and instead change it so that you allow the apps that are within the specific application folder, ex: Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5
I had similar problems with CS5 apps and by adding the apps by allowable folder instead it corrected my problem. Granted, if you have savvy users, there is the potential to open a can of worms here but it was the only way I could get it to work for "standard" non-admin user types.
