CS5 64bit printing

I have been using CS5 64 bit and recently my prints have printed darker than the screen. I recalibrated the monitor and thennew icm is being used. I also have the correct icc for the paper. I switched back to CS5 32 bit and the problem goes away. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong?

Compare all your Ps and printer settings between x32 and x64 for the same image file to print...something may be different.
Does everything look the same on screen for x32 vs. x64?
Dark prints often caused by monitor brightness too high...check that.....tho it should not change between Ps 32 vs 64
Check with printer mfg drivers as drivers for x32 are different than for x64....may be a printer driver bug.
Has it worked correctly before? if so, what has recently changed? Any new installs? maybe use system restore to known good point and if that fixes it then a new install changed something.

  • Photoshop Cs5 64bit Middle East urdu writing problem

    hi
i have win7 64bit and i install PS cs5 64bit but i not support urdu then i install 32bit then then it work but why 64bit version not work with urdu language properly

I don't condone the problems, but a workaround I've recently read about for the copy count problem is to do the following, in order:
    1.  Set the copy count you want.
    2.  Click the Print Settings... button to enter the printer driver setup dialog.
    3.  [OK] out.
    4.  Print
This is reported to get the proper copy count into the print driver and make it "stick".  I just tried it and it seems to work.
Keep in mind you may want to go through this again after printing to get the copy count to default back to 1 for the next print.

  • InDesign CS5 only prints one page at a time.

InDesign CS5 only prints one page at a time. No multiple copies. Each page in a document has to be printed one at a time. I didn't have this problem with any version before this. No matter what I do, change settings, etc. I still have the same outcome. How do I work around this problem so I can print a 5 copies of a 3 page document without having to do each copy of each page one at a time.

Sounds like a printer driver issue. Can you export to PDF and print that correctly?

  • How do I install my plug-ins in Photoshop CS5 64bit

Can't seem to install my plug-ins that I have been using in Photoshop CS3 and CS4.   Mediachance, Nik, onOne,  Alien Skin, Photkit, Fluidmask, Fred Miranda, etc.  They all work in CS3 in Win 7 Pro 64bit, but do not show in CS5.

I tried CS4 and CS5 on my old Hp (32bit).  CS4 was OK, but nothing to write
home about.  CS5 could not support my plug-ins as well as CS4, actions did
not work well in CS5.  I ended up having to keep CS3 extended active.  When
all else fails I use PS 7.  Ended up dumping the entire CS4 Design Suite
Premium.  As it turns out I should have dumped CS5 and Kept CS4 Active.  I
do not like having to use the automate menu to access plug-ins that were in
the Filters Menu or added pull down menu bar (extensis/onOne menu bar).
Also do not like the very small text for the Pull Downs. CS5 apparently does
not support the onOne menu bar.  I dumped CS5(64bit) later today.  Installed
32Bit CS5.  It’s a real shame I can not use the full performance features of
this performance laptop (Quad Core, 2GB discrete graphics, 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz,
SSD/Hybrid drives) with CS5.  Had to process a photo shoot today and ended
up using DXO Optics Pro.  Really very unhappy with CS5.  The few
enhancements vs. the dysfunction of CS5 are not worth the cost.  Sure glad I
did not go for the full Design Premium upgrade this time.  The accumulated
cost/value of all my plug-ins by far exceed the value of the CS5 upgrade.  I
just may go back to my Corel Apps on my MAC.  Can not afford to purchase
(once again) all my Plug-ins.  Nik , Alien Skin, and onOne are grossly
    overpriced.
Sorry to RANT.  Just not happy with CS4 and CS5.  I have been using
Photoshop since the version 4 release.  The best releases were PS7 and CS3

  • CS5 color print problem using CS6

I upgraded from CS5 on XP to CS6 hosted on Windows 7, 64 bit.  Images loaded into my new CS6 system from my camera or the web display and print perfectly. I am using the same printer for CS6 as I did for CS5, an Epson 3800.  However, when I open and print older CS5 generated images using CS6, the images print with what appears to be reversed grey tones and off color but the monitor displayed colors appear just as good as they did on CS5. In summary, images generated in CS6 print ok, but images generated under my old CS5 system print with off colors using CS6 but display ok.  Thanks for your suggestions and help.

  • Photoshop CS5 & (64bit)

Using Photoshop CS5 with Windows 7.
If I open my photoshop cs5 from a desktop short cut I get it from Programs Files/Adobe/Photoshop CS5 (64bit) which will not work with some of my old plugins,
Having placed a short cut of the other photoshop cs5 onto desktop which opens from Programs Files (x86)/Adobe/Photoshop CS5, this has my older versions of plugins stored.
What I wish to do is to be able to right click on an image and open it with  Adobe/Photoshop CS5. at the moment if I right click on an image I only get one choice PS CS5 64bit.
I don't wish to use the default setting as this will only allow me to open my image in first instance in PS, at the moment I prefer to open in windows media so I can make my mind up what I wish to do with the image.
    Any ideas please.

The only thing I can think of to try is only one PS can be open at a time so if you want to open an image in PS-32bit then open PS-32bit prior to right-clicking and opening in PS, so that right-click-open will use the existing PS-32bit you’ve already opened.  If you want things opened in PS-64bit then make sure no PS-32bit is open before choosing to open in PS.

  • CS5 64bit - top of HDR filter window cut off

When I open the HDR toning filter the top of the HDR controls window is always hidden under the top edge of the screen.  I can't reposition the window.  This is in CS5 64bit.  When I make the same actions in CS5 32bit and in CS6, the whole of the HDR filter window is visible in the normal way.
How can I get to see the whole HDR controls window again in CS5 64bit please?

Looks like you're seeing the compressed version of the dialog, made for small screens.
I take it you're not seeing an OK button over on the upper-right, even if you move the dialog to the left?

  • Photoshop CS5 64bit Directory Problem

I have recently tried re-loading my CS5 (64bit) software on to Windows 7 (64 bit)
My problem is that CS5 ALWAYS loads into the 'Program Files' Directory and not the correct one 'Program Files (x86).  This is depsite me altering the various areas to direct the loading to the correct area.
Bridge CS5 ALWAYS goes into the correct directory.
I have tried everything that I can think of to sort this out.  The only thing left is to format the HDD and start again!!!!!!
Can anyone help correct this problem??

That was a mis-understanding on my part; this has now been corrected. I am
    new to 64bit!!
The problem started when the attached message came up.  Irrespective of
where Photoshop is loaded this message comes up and Photoshop will not
    start!!
I wonder if there is something in the registry that is causing this????
Text version of the error message is as follows:-
    C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.6161_none_08e61857a8 3bc251\MSVCP90.dll
is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try
installing the program again using the original media or contact your
system administrator or the software vendor for support

  • Photoshop CS5(64Bit): "You don't have permission to save to this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission."  I am the administrator and I give myself permission. What can I do to save the file?

Photoshop CS5(64Bit): "You don't have permission to save to this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission."  I am the administrator and give myself permission. What can I do to save the file? This is the user's PC, licensed PS CS5 software and Win 7 OS.

Temporarily save to another folder, until you figure it out.
Just because you are the owner and are the sole administrator, does not always guarantee that you have permission. There are several folders that you can not access no matter how hard you try. As for folders in your document folder, it is more likely a basic permission setting that took on permissions of a copied file. Some folders and files are set to a child/parent default setting, meaning the child folder/file (the one you are accessing) has the identical settings of its parent and when the parent changes, so does the child.
You can alter the parent or the child folder/file.
Right click on the folder/file select properties.
    Click on the security tab.
Click on each of the group names and see what permissions are set.
You can then edit a group if necessary.
If it will not allow it, you may need to use the advanced button to create a new copy of the group which should happen when you alter its settings (In other words, you don't have to physically create the copy, it does it for you when you OK the changes)
The administrator should have full access to the folder in the documents folder, if you are listed as an associate of the administrator group your name should also be listed there with full access. The System should also have full access.
All other groups should have reading access only if they exist.

  • After effects / Premiere CS5 64bit

After effects / Premiere CS5 64bit unable to load. It's giving me error "runtime error this application has requested the Runtime...."
I've exhausted all possible options and i'm quite frustrated right now. I've reinstalled my Win 7 64 bit and reinstalled the application numerous times however the same fault keeps on happening.
I've reinstalled new drivers for my GeForce 8400 GS. still no help. Please help! Others which is running 32 bit (flash, fireworks, dreamweaver....) is working fine. Only those which is 64 bit, premiere, after effects is giving me this error. Please help me.

    Erm...
    GeForce 8400 GS
Highly doubtful this card is usable in any way much less certified by Adobe - not only is it old to begin with, but it's also one of those trimemd down models from the budget tray. It might at best work, if you removed OpenGL support from AE compeltely, but Premiere will remain problematic. Also this seems like a clear indicator that your computer is 5 years or older and in that case, your processor may simply not be compatible which would apply to several Core2Duo types, some AMD processors and Pentium 4. If you think your processor is compatible regardless, then it may need a special driver/ patch/ DLL, so check and install that...

  • CS5 64bit, W7 64 bit, First print not profiled

When I send a print to my Epson 3800, the first time I try it the print is ugly and looks un- or incorrectly- profiled.  Idf I resend the same image without touching the print dialogue settings (they're the same as the first print) the print looks great.  Current epson drivers, correct settings for PS to manage color, it all works fine with CS4...
    Thoughts?

i first search for duplicate fonts and removed these:
    Andale Mono
    Andale Mono.ttf
    Arial
    Arial Black
    Arial Black.ttf
    Arial Bold Italic.ttf

i then went thru each and every folder on the left side of font book and validated the fonts and everything came back ok. i also searched for the known problem fonts and i have none of those listed. i do not however have all of those Hevelica one somebody had mentioned in a previous post, nor do i know where to get them? i am trying to figure ou the download font test script listed in the link above but i am not sure if i am to copy and paste it in there or just type FontTest.jsx in the script folder? i cannot find a "rund font test" in the help menu after launching

  • CS5 Photoshop Printing - Unable to change paper settings

I am trying to set the size of the print, but unable to do so. If I try to select the print settings button under the Copies number, the only thing that happens is that the print button in the lower right flashes. I am unable to set page sizes, basically access the printer options/settings. I'm also getting the bluish/redish tint which means color management is turn on. Since I can't get to the settings,  I can't do anything. It was all working under CS3, I now have Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3. Mac OS X 10.6.7.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks, that helped. Still have the red tint in the prints. I turned off color management and it didn't really help. Ran into this before, wound up being the Apple espon driver was causing it. Epson had me download the printer driver from them and that fix it. So going to try that next.

  • CS5 64bit Scripting Error

    Hi,
Not every time, but quite often, PS CS5 crashes ('Encountered an error and needs to close') when I try to do something which uses scripts, like:  Save Comps to Files, Image Processor or Merge to...
There was a question related to this in July, but it wasn't answered, and it concerned 32bit, in WinXP.  I run Win 7, 64bit.
In Windows Events Log I find the following info:
Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 12.0.1.0, time stamp: 0x4c255ce6
Faulting module name: ScriptingSupport.8li, version: 10.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4c25616d
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x00000000000eea83
    Faulting process id: 0xffc
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cb83c454a59b71
    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)\Photoshop.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Extensions\ScriptingSupport.8li
I compared file 'ScriptingSupport.8li' with that file in another installation, and they were identical.
In the thread in July, it was suggested to remove all Adobe apps and reinstall them. It is not something I'll gladly do, and the OP tried it and it didn't solve the problem.
    Any help will be appreciated,
    Moshe

    Hi Tazayoot94,
From the log I see you are getting "Error 1935".
    This is a MSI error.
You can try the solution from the doc : http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403969.html

  • Acrobat Pro 7.1 in Win7 (64bit) Printer Settings must be confirmed twice

I have an customer which I just delievered 3 new Workstations with Windows 7 (64 bit) to. Each one is running Adobe Acrobat 7.1 Professional.
The issue is that each time when they want to print, and they want to customize printer device configurations, they enter the menu. Then click on "Ok", but have to go back into the configuration once more and agree, so that the printer dialog accepts the new settings.
I suspected it to be a simple dialog error, and thus tried to print after confirming just once, but the printer indeed printer with wrong settings then.
Even if it is not a vital error, our customers understandably complain about the workflow.
Is that an known issue? Does anyone have a suggestion?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hi,
    The machines being used are:
    ACER Predator G5900
    Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
    Intel Core i5 Processor 650
    4GB DDR3 RAM Memory
We use several different pieces of software to reach a printer.
    These are:
    Acrobat Pro 9 (Most Used)
    Microsoft Word
    Océ PRISMAprepare (Adobe Product)
    Adobe InDesign CS5
    Adobe Illustrator CS5
    Adobe Photoshop CS5
We also use several different printers.
    These are:
    Xerox DocuColour 242
    Xerox DocuColour 250
    Xerox DocuColour 260
    Océ VarioPrint 1065
    Océ VarioPrint 6250
    Océ VarioPrint 6320
    HP Laserjet 4250
    Samsung ML-2570
And we use Fiery Command Workstation Suite 5.5 to process colour jobs once sent to a Xerox Fiery.
We have tried PCL6, PS and PPD drivers for all of the printers and the problem occurs across all Adobe programs, across all printers but only on these Acer Predator machines. Given that we have no other Windows 7 machines in the building I can't vouch for the stability of the machine itself but it seems most peculiar and we felt it would likely be something bugging between Acrobat and Windows 7 64-bit but the further we go down the road of investigation the less likely it seems that this is the case.
In terms of key strokes ctrl+p or File>Print all arrive at the same outcome - having to select the printer properties, then click ok, then click properties again, then click ok again before the settings embed!
Thanks for your time looking in to this.
    Regards,
    Darren.
