CS5 Application Error

CS5 - all products - I receive the following error when I try to open a program: Application Error: The Instructions at
"0x00864a4a4d" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be read.  Click OK to terminate the program. Click Cancel to debug the program.  If I choose either option the program closes.  If I ignore the message and don't press OK or cancel, I am able to use the program; although the message box is a distraction.

I don't think that error is coming from the Community Help Application. Please try asking this in one of the Creative Suites Forums at http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites
Thanks!

  • CS5 Applications Error on Launch

I just reinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate (64-bit edition) and I'm still getting the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error.
This is the error I'm getting in my temp/amt3 log:
2010-06-24 21:23:23 [3836]  SLCoreService: Syncing to license store...
2010-06-24 21:23:23 [3836]  SLCoreService: mkey was bad, regenerating it
Anyone have any ideas with this? I've been fighting with this error for a couple weeks now and decided to do a reinstall with the assumption that it would fix the error, but no luck.

  • Photoshop CS5 unrecoverable error on opening

Photoshop CS5 pops up a an unrecoverable error, program must close error box when it opens.  If I uninstall and run in demo mode this doesn't happen, photoshop runs fine.  I put in my serial number (yes, it is a valid SN right off of my disc box) and open the program, error occurs.  This makes no sense, as the only difference is that the install is now licenced and not a demo. I'm running Windows 6 Pro 64bit on on intel core i7 processor.  Below is the event error log:  I've been running PS CS5 on this machine for months, this just started 2 days ago.

Well, that's what we're trying to figure out now, isn't it?
Why did you have to reinstall it?  Perhaps you have haven't overcome the original problem.
Since you're having a crash that came on when you added your serial number, that's what drove my attention in that direction.
I'm not versed in exactly what Photoshop requires for its licensing.  I just looked more closely and see that while the FLEXnet services I mentioned are on my system, they're not at the moment started.  Do you see them at all in the Task Manger Services tab?

  • InDesign CS5 DDE Error when exiting

One of my users gets a DDE error when she exits out of InDesign.
"DDE Server Window: InDesign.exe - Application Error
The Intruction at '0x##############' referenced memory at '0x##############'.  The memory could not be 'read'.
Click on OK to terminate the program"
She is using InDesign CS5 with the latest update applied.  I believe it was 7.04.  She is also using XP sp 3.  I've tried resetting her preferences, as I noticed was recommended, by pressing ctrl + shift +alt on boot and rename the file name from the user folder.  Neither fixed the issue.  If I start a new file it doesn't have this error on closing, but it happens when loading up an old file and closing out.
    Thanks

That sort of worked.  When I ran the initial export of the file and closed
there was no error.  If I opened the newly created idml file and closed it
would throw the same error.  I decided to look into a theory I had about
saving.  I loaded the original file that was giving me trouble.  I made a
small change, saved the file, and closed.  The error did not come.  I opened
the file again and closed.  The error was produced.  It seems it happens
when you load an existing file and don't save/export your work.

  • CS5 installation errors

Hi. I own CS5 and Acrobat Pro 9. I recently purchased a new Mac laptop and used the built-in migration tool to move all my software to the new computer. Doing a clean OS install is really not an option. There are just too many pieces of software I'd have to re-install. But I'm at a loss as to what to try next. Any thoughts?

  • InDesign CS5: Configuration Error (Error 5)

I've installed CS5 Premium. When I try to start InDesign CS5, I get this error: "Configuration error. Please uninstall and reinstall the product. If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of the screen. Error: 5. http://www.adobe.com/support/". It looks like this:
I've uninstalled and reinstalled. It did not help; I got this same error again. I went to the Adobe support page and found nothing useful. I see it says "contact Adobe technical support," but I am trying my best to sort this out on my own before getting in the support queue.
Has anyone else had this trouble?
Perhaps related, perhaps not, when I try to start Photoshop CS5, it brings me to the 30-day trial activation screen. This, despite the fact that I entered my serial number for the suite when installing it. If I put the serial number into the activation screen, it rejects it as invalid for the product (from what I read, it should be accepted ... a document here on Adobe's website said any application in the suite should accept the suite serial number). I know the serial number is good, because it works on my other machine (it installed fine and works on my desktop, and this is the laptop I am trying to get to work). InDesign, Photoshop, and Bridge are the only products in the suite installed on this machine. Bridge works fine.
Any help would be most appreciated!

    Hi,
Can you please provide information about system configuration.
If you don't have any other version of Adobe on your system then you can run CS3 Clean Script on level 4 on your machine. This will actually remove all Adobe componentes from your machine and then try the installation..
    Cheers,

  • Application Error wintab32.dll

I am getting this Application Error while working in Flash Adobe CS5 Professional version.
The error occurs at different times either while I am attempting to generate a SWF for testing or when I am in ActionScript.
    From EventViewer>Application Error:
Faulting application flash.exe, version 11.0.2.489, faulting module wintab32.dll, version 2.1.1.8, fault address 0x00001c00.
I am running WinXP Professional. ServicePack3
    Has anyone experienced this?

    Hi,
Just a thought, as I had seen errors like these due to an anti-virus software running on the host.
Perhaps could try disabling the AV for sometime and see if this still happens.

  • SOLUTION - Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025, runtime c++

    Hello All CS5 Photoshop Users.
You have been getting an error on Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025 C++ in 64bit
I finally figured the solution for this.
What you have to do is this:
    Uninstall all the Runtimes x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
    Uninstall the entire CS5 Photoshop.
    Go to your C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (64bit)\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Go to C:\Program Files (86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Reboot
Re-install CS5 Photoshop, when selecting the installation make sure to install 32bit and 64bit, when you are installing 64bit and you select it will also select 32bit, install the CS5 Photoshop.
    Now install the Runtimes from Microsoft x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
Confirm the size of the runtimes from microsoft with cs5 photoshop runtimes
Location of MS Runtime - C:\Windows\winsxs
    Install the plugins and done!!!!!
Hope this helps to all CS5 Photoshop users.

To uninstall the runtimes you can easily do it from registry, best and easy way, this will clear any files which were having conflicts.
Runtime C++ is the error with Visual C++ Runtime.
Go to start > run > type regedit and click OK
    In the registry go to:
    HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Uninstall
Expand the Uninstall and you will see many folders or Keys with long names like {002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C} ...click on them one by one, on the right side you will see what application it is. On the right side look for these
    Name: DisplayName
    Data: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 ATL Update kb973924 - x86 9.0.30729.4148
    Name: UninstallString
    Data: MsiExec.exe /X{002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C}
Make sure the name is Microsoft Visual C++..... any version, you will for sure have more than 3-4.
Double click on the UninstallString and copy the Data, go to start > run > and paste , click on OK, and the uninstall will begin.
WARNING - Please make sure you close all the application before proceeding. Go to task manager and kill any process which is not running by system like any third party application including third party WLAN software, or any other, check system tray (bottom right corner before the clock).
Once you have all this done you will not have any problem.
When installing CS5 on 64bit application, make sure to install CS5 32bit as well because of some dll and system files being not fully compatible.
First uninstall the CS5, then uninstall the runtimes, backup your Plugins as folders, you can over write them later without reinstalling them.
    OR
Uninstall runtimes, repair CS5 with an option of installing 32bit and 64bit.
